RE: ADVFN Charts Volume Bars
These are what the colors mean.
Blue = buy
Red = sell
green = unknown volume as it was done between bid/ask
Hi George,
You can log into the site/LevelII/streamer from any computer using your iHub login/password.
Let me know if you meant something different....
Congrats to the winners! And thanks to ddf and dc for hosting it.
I've credited FraudStopper with a 6 month sub, Buckey with a 3 month sub, and ElisComing with a 1 month sub.
Congrats on the stock pick and winning the contest! I've added 3 months to your sub. :)
Definitely. You're set up. See: #msg-39626102
I've set you up with one week of the Ultimate Trader.
To use it, log out of iHub; then log back in to iHub, click Streamer and/or Level 2 at the top of the site.
* Take a look at tools to play with: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/advfn_tools.aspx

New Product: Nasdaq Level II
ADVFN has added a new product to the matrix -- Ultimate Trader.
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=smatrix
It includes everything from Small Cap Pro:
Pink SHeet Level II
OTCBB Level II
Level I for everything
and adds Nasdaq Level II
$49.99/month is the cost.
If anybody would like a free trial of Ultimate Trader for a week, just send me a note. I'll add it to your iHub account -- this offer is good for both current subscribers and non-subscribers.....
In other news - you'll be seeing the new quote pages as soon as London does their latest code release......
You got that by somehow going to us.advfn.com - to clear it up, best way is to do a full cookie cleanout. That'll wipe out the cookie that was set that tells the system which site to show you......
Wipe the cookie to come home... :)
Survey for Board Quote control:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/do_board_survey.asp?board_id=504&Survey_Num=11
We're making a number of changes to how the quotes work and are displayed. Take the survey and let me know if you'd prefer to control the Quotes being shown on each board individually OR a single sitewide setting (all on or all off).
Preview of new Quote page:
Changes:
* Color scheme
* Link to This Quote corrected
* Bottom strap fixed, somehow lost its way
* The tabs look MUCH better
* Got rid of Profile link, replaced it with Level II link
* Limit number of characters on company names so it doesn't screw the entire page up
* Main quote/change/volume box - increased font size, better use of space
* Reorganized the order of the boxes/data
* Got rid of Source column on news section; got rid of "-" on Edgar filings (?), increased font size
* Fixed a bug that prevented the message board from showing in some cases
Comments welcome!
Seems like a lot of the kinks have been worked out. Haven't had many reported problems lately.
Will be rolling out a re-designed Quote page on the next code release. Working on all of the quote-related pages, actually. Will post some screenshots for comments....
Everything has been fixed up to this post. Thanks for pointing all of these out, as usual, Sir!
Okay. I'll get them to remove the %-restriction.
So, no volume requirements? ie even if a stock is up 10,000% and volume is 1 share, it still shows up?
I spoke to 'em about the Top Lists issue.
I'm thinking disable it or set it to a particular volume threshold....
His reply:
This one is almost too easy.
There is a variable in the Toplist code []. If the
percentage change in a stock price is greater than the filter
percentage, we assume that something odd has happened like a stock
split, and remove it from the list.
This value defaults to 399% in the constructor for the Toplist class,
but it is configurable via the config file.
For the penny type stocks, obviously an change in price of a few cents
can mean a several hundred percentage change. We just need to set the
filter value accordingly.
I don't know enough about the market to know what to do. Do NO/NB stocks
have splits? If they don't then we could just disable this feature. I
bet they do though - in which case we just need to come up with a better
value for the filter percentage. Suggestions?
CHDO and SYNJ among those that are having issues today. I provided Feed Team with some data as well; he's in contact with Comstock (feed coming down) to correct it.
I may have to waive your monthly iHub Fan Club dues this month.
As Mod, you can change the board name to whatever you'd like - just go to Manage > Change Board Name. It'll go into a queue and we'll approve the change.
All fixed up to this post. Gracias as usual, sir.
lady-
It needs to be fixed so it's clear, but the 2008 board search will actually include 2009 as well.
I'm sure Dave will see it and reply - he's the expert on those matters.
I think it's going to be a huge hit; the price point hurt PALM a bit though. I can't remember reading what the actual margins were (device cost to Sprint), but it didn't make the analysts happy.
Thanks, ddf. Hope you played some golf today.
Dunno. I think my darling Assistant there had a finger-slip. I've restored it.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=38073595
Music to my ears. I've restored your account.
I send the two examples you posted to the Feeds Team - I'll let you know their reply.
Bee -
The current Level 2 offering is just for Small Caps (OTCBB and Pink Sheets). It doesn't include Nasdaq/Nyse/AMEX, though that's expected quite soon....
As for the logging out, are you by chance using/opening iHub in another browser (like using Level2/streamer in FF and using iHub in IE)?
Let me know if you're continuing to have problems with it - it's showing up on Level 2 and Quote page for me:

To All:
I/we won't be squelching the discussion of the SEC/Delaware stuff, but it does need to move off this board. This board is and will remain about Questions and Answers for iHub and a helpful resource for users here.
For any discussion of the SEC/Delaware stuff, please post it on this board:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=15452
Shelly's post will start being enforced tonight, as it's important we keep the boards on topic/relevant:
#msg-38040123
Re: SEC complaint/etc
Hi guys,
I'm aware of the SEC complaint/Delaware situation that was released today. You guys know the deal - I can't say much without my legal counsel ripping my head off (certainly the way I tend to write).
If/when I'm cleared to update everyone, I will.
ADVFN is aware of the situation and they consider it a personal matter.
Just so rumors aren't circulating -- iHub isn't going anywhere. The community and the incredible Admin team are what make this place. The site has been absolutely rocking lately and there's no reason that will change. We're doing some upgrades next week to the hardware infrastructure and the Nerds are working on some very groovy cutting edge stuff that we've dreamed up the last few weeks that I'm pretty excited to release.
I appreciate all the concern/messages you guys have sent.
To All:
Having to delete too many posts here. Same group I always have to smack around lately.
This is not a chat site. Please limit your posts here to useful DD about Vertigo. Chatter about gambling, how big your house is, how nice it would be to have a brothel and a spa and such.....is absolutely worthless crap. Keep it 100% about Vertigo. Knock the silly back and forth chatter off.
Will issue bans as needed to make myself clear.
A PM to IH Admin (which is what shows up for post removals by Admin) should do the trick. We're all largely on the same wave length and will give you a reply. If one of us doesn't understand it, we'll pass it over to who did....
I'll let John respond on the speed issues - but on the conference call today, he mentioned that the servers were running hot enough to fry an egg and next week he was planning to have balancers in place to spread the traffic over multiple servers, which should correct it.
That right, Meatloaf?
That's correct. Despite you only having ONE post per day on the board, you're still having posts removed.
The way back to unrestricted post-hood:
Every post you write is about the stock and only the stock.
No useless comments of LOL. Nothing about users. Nothing about the weather or your dog's flea treatment.
Go a while with no deletes and I'll be happy to restore your full posting privs.
I'm not sure how you got sucked into the ADVFN US top strap - but log out of here and ADVFN (hell, clear all of your cookies) and then go directly back to ihub and all should be back to normal.
What stock are you referring to, so I can take a poke?
Things start getting reallllly cluttered after 3. especially for folks that have smaller resolution screens. The ibox is useful for anything else important. :)
Here's a quick FAQ, your question answered at the end:

Really? Claiming innocence? Think about it.
