he said year over year full production. i think they are still on target to start full production sometime in 2015
Cashin gave a very intelligent interview. When asked about the preponderence of the juniors that could drive down the price of REE; he stated that the mine would be fully operational by 2016 and he believes China will be an importer of heavy REE by the end of 2015 He also said that QRM is a niche play in the Rare earth market (heavies). When asked about the price at that time; he stated that the feasibility study was based on a 3 year average price and not the current spot price which has risen 7 or 8X the price used in the study. He believes that the only other heavy miner that would matter will not be in production until 2023. He said the financing of the mine will not be an issue as there are several different avenues that are being explored.
CNBC going to interview Cushin after commercial
Remember Quest rings the Bell this morning
should be great exposure
Quest to ring opening bell
On Monday, June 27, 2011, executives, directors and guests of Toronto-based Quest Rare Minerals Ltd. will visit the New York Stock Exchange. Quest Rare Minerals Ltd. began trading on NYSE Amex on May 23 under the ticker symbol "QRM".
To mark this occasion, President and CEO Peter Cashin and members of the executive team will ring The Opening Bell.
If AIG was not made to pay Goldman 100% on the dollar like some other institutions we would be talking About Goldman being to big to fail. Many of the fortune 500 pensions funds are insured by AIG. the Treasury knew Aig was the only one that could sustain this kind of hit and still be viable therefore they made them bail out everyone else.
Thanks Gregg Ithought they were going to the shipping to the coast using larger cargo planes. That is why they were putting in the larger airstip. I know they are in a remote location. I was hoping Quebec would help them out with some infrastructure since they are trying to promote these kinds of commercial operations. Maybe Quebec could extend the railway they have going up to iron ore area.
i believe he received the dividend as a discount off the day before close. i believe the exdividend date is before trading opens on that day.
They have to build the procesing plant, which involves getting all the permits & building the plant, they also need to build a bigger airstrip to move the finished product to their customers. If they can get some Quebec province infrastructer capitial maybe they can get into production quicker
that's what i think
when i click on insert text here i get the link if that does not work for you go to the quest minerals website checkout latest updates the document is 127 pages
insert-text-here
has anyone else seen this is the updated evaluation of the strange lake deposit
i'm in a hold mold maybe accumulate if the general market picks up. the general market is still bearish.
Qrm needs to pick up the pace in building the processing plant and start the mining operation. they should be asking Quebec for some of the grant money they are offering for infrastucture and speed up the process.
if they don't get the mine producing by the end of 2014 this great opportunity for stockholders will be squashed.
glad to hear you have a lower WAP than me. even apple is approaching it's 200dma. this is a long time hold for me. Did you look at the website mentioned in post 786
welcome to the 10 K club
very interesting
Anything under $7.62 X 16 is a buy as that is the estimated earnings potential / yr of the mine based on 4/10 prices
qe 2 ending this month plus the shorties were having a field day
all REE's look to be pushing up
yes I realize the Chinese are controling the spot prices and could dump them by increasing their exports. The thing, I don't get is why someone like GE is not buying stock in QRM. the endusers should be salivating. Just remember the valuation was done on April 2010 spot prices and the Hree prices have gone up significantly. Thanks for the link on the spot prices
Crusader- thanks for updating the Board
there was an evaluation of the companies potential back in early 2010 which showed the company earning over $8B over the life of the mine. I believe, this was before the results of the drilling in the B zone. the company is worth billions sit tight
added another 1000+ @ 6.35 could be a reaction to MCP selling more shares
i just went into my Vanguard account to see if their were any options available on quest - still nothing available looks like retail with some small wholesale activity which has increased the volume 3x
bought some more today
thanks for clearing up my misconception
the way I read it is that each borehole went down 275M to examine the amount of hree and lree within that borehole
the depth of the holes is 275m.
How far apart were they drilled and in what kind of pattern ?
that info can help determine the anticipated tonnage/kg of lree and hree
anybody know how far apart the latest set of drill holes were?
double the average volume - PS should improve
probably catching back up to it's 50dma
Vanguard has changed symbols
probably waiting for the after hours close @ 6 PM EST
great news!!!!!
i only see the uses of HREE expanding and as usually Goldman wants to take whatever advantage they can get
i read an article in investors business daily on May 9th page A2 were Goldman predicted that supply of REE will outstip demand by the end of 2012 and prices will come down. Personally I do not believe this should effect Quests Hree; but the recent sell off corresponds very closely for all REE stocks.
doesn't the AMEX listing need a true valuation of assets. If so maybe they are waitng for the report from the the latest assay of the B zone
We will, however, partner readily
with smaller exploration companies
if that gives us access to attractive
opportunities, tenure, local
knowledge, or operational skills
that we do not possess in house.
Statement on their Web page under exploration
the IOC mine is on the Labrador side of the border with Quebec.
The reason I mention this is the large percentage of iron ore around the Misery Lake find. Therefore they might have an interest in buying Quest and are certainly in a position to do so. There rail line could be expanded up to Misery Lake. Having more than one interested party would be great for us.
my target is $24
