Good stuff, thanks.
Thanks DD.
I've been reading a lot on how small businesses and other services have been investigating the usage of social networking sites for brand awareness. Maybe we can get some fresh blood and eyes on us by going this route. I have also e-mailed Eric on a few occasions, so maybe I could pass the idea of purchasing some products with a coupon code indicating that it was found via Facebook to gauge the effectiveness.
Plus in this downturned economy, how can you go wrong with free marketing especially with a potential customer base that is >200M strong?
Stats from FB:
* More than 200 million active users
* More than 100 million users log on to Facebook at least once each day
* More than two-thirds of Facebook users are outside of college
* The fastest growing demographic is those 35 years old and older
* Average user has 120 friends on the site
* More than 3.5 billion minutes are spent on Facebook each day (worldwide)
* More than 20 million users update their statuses at least once each day
* More than 4 million users become fans of Pages each day
The way I figure, if it's in the iBox then it's public information. But I'll wait for Rocket's blessing.
BTW, any mod here want to be a backup admin on FB just in case I get hit by a bus? If so, PM me your name and I'll add you.
Also Soap, what flavors of Linux you run? Been Ubuntu since 5.04 and haven't looked back.
Right on, cool!
If anyone has a Twitter account maybe they could create a following there? If not, maybe I'll investigate that next weekend.
Also, I was going to put a link on the FB page for ecogeeks, would it be OK to list the promo codes there?
Cool, just saw that.
Later on today, I'll post some more information about ecogeeks, store locater and such. Feel free to ad whatever DD you would like.
I would like this group to be more focused on the consumer versus the investor. Maybe we can add a link to iHub for those persons.
Gotta go, got a hungry family calling for the cook. :)
Winning Brands Facebook group now active.
Alright folks, if you are on Facebook search groups for Winning Brands. I created a group where we can share thoughts, ideas, pictures and videos.
For you that are familiar with Facebook, you'll know what groups are about. This way we can post news, reviews and whatever and reach an audience outside of the speculative message boards. This is NOT officially sponsored by Winning Brands, so if there is any conflict with WNBD, I'll pull it down.
Will do, thanks scup. Plus we are running low on Kind anyway, so I'll have to include that in my next order.
OT - Overland Park huh? We live about 10 minutes south of there. I'm originally from the east coast and work brought me out west a bit. We like it, just there is no ocean. :)
bransteve,
I thought I read somewhere that Clean1 was just diluted WC. Am I wrong?
Reason I'm asking, is that we are opening our pool later this month, and this involves cleaning the decks and cement around the pool. I was going to dilute my WC, scrub and rinse.
Got your PM, and yes I agree with the ending tagline.
Good stuff fer sure.
Well, if we can get videos on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites, then this is a good start. Even Eric mentions some of this in this article -> http://www.ewire.com/display.cfm/Wire_ID/4437 Heck, even the race car collaboration project is a theme in this new way of doing business.
Like I said in previous posts, social networking is the new way of disseminating information now days, and we need to embrace it or just keep doing common things to achieve common results.
The next time I see a use for WC, I'll be sure to document it.
I only have 998 videos to shoot now... :)
Second video of the day...
I had some paint from a recent project on our workbench in the garage. You know when you pour paint, it tends to run down the side of the can and when we put the can on the workbench this is what was left.
Yes, if I used it straight I would have probably not needed to scrub as much, that is for sure. But the spray bottle is always nearby, so I thought I would give it a shot today. Plus, I am a tightwad, so I try to minimize how much I use it since I have to mail order it.
If only I could go to my local (insert store name here) to pick it up. There is one store about 50 miles south of me here in Kansas, so we are getting close.
All in good time....
Dirty jobs - I was going to have them film at my parents farm doing hog house clean up (gosh I hated that job...) but the companies legal dept was spooked due to animal activists and other issues.
Cool, I didn't know I would become an international sensation so quick. :)
I have a work bench with paint stains on it and will try to video cleaning it up this weekend. Time permitting of course. (Translated = wife honey-do lists and kids activities...)
I used to use it straight but found it's just as effective diluted 1:10.
Plus by using straight you have to add water anyway to rinse, right? :)
In the iBox.
Rocketstocks managed to work a deal with Pacific Sands and Winning Brands as to allow shoppers to obtain a 15% discount on anything Pacific Sands offers -- including Winning Brands Merchandise! (Previously discounted items may not be subject to an addition 15% discount.) The 15% coupon code is PFSDgeek. You can can also get free shipping for orders over $50 by using the code WNBD. Please click the following to visit Pacific Sands!

I shot a video today of one of the uses that I use WC for.
Anyone have an opinion on ERPL?
Etrade showing .0049 x 005 for me.
Thanks for your service! :thumbs up:
I took my profits and dug a big hole in my backyard and buried it.
My kids now love their swimming pool. :)
I hope so. I got in around $2.
Crox was good to me two years ago, got in at $15 and got out at $120 (pre-split price), let's do this again.
OT-Just started hanging on this board last week, hope to follow on your coat tails.
It's got to be an error.
Just thought it was funny to finally see BLLB move more than .0001 in a day.
Please lord tell me Google Finance is right....
Thanks. Facebook and Twitter are expanding at such a rapid pace that people aren't sure what or how to use it, or they are stuck in their old ways of doing business that by the time they embrace it, it then becomes common knowledge and yields common results.
Who said Eric has to?
If 100 people tweet about WNBD and has 100 people following the tweets, then you effectively are reaching out to 10000 people for free. Did I mention free? In these economic times, saving money is the overall message in the marketplace.
And it takes less time to do that, versus pissing and moaning on a public forum.
Like I said, you can do things the old way and get mediocre results, or do something different and get uncommon results.
MP3 players had been around for a long time, but Apple did something a little different and changed a whole market.
My random post for this weekend.
At my company we have been dipping our toes into Facebook and Twitter to spread the word and help out customers. Is there something here for WNBD? Worth thinking and wrapping your mind around it. This is the way we are going to be communicating in the future, Businesses can do common things and get common results, or you can do some uncommon things to get uncommon results. There are a few WNBD tweets from the past but they are speculative stock related. Couldn't hurt to get a few more tweets about us.

"This is a no-cost way of marketing," he says. Because Twitter provides a public forum, each post becomes a form of promotion as other users follow Savage's posts. "You are building a reputation; people can go back and look at your Web site and the quality of your content, and you are becoming part of the community," Savage says. Other business owners are using Twitter for market research and to keep an eye on customer service issues.
What does WB need today; more revenue or more capital? If we can generate more interest from consumers, then when WB releases numbers more revenue is good. Conversely, more capital provides more market expansion.
So where do we go from here, do we generate more interest in investors or do we generate more interest from consumers?
It's just a never ending cycle.
Thanks Rocket,
I did not know about HotOTC and SPNG. As always, your knowledge is keen.
Well, how about we set up a Facebook group? It's free promotion and social networking is a key trend in the marketplace today. 150 million people are actively using it.
Just rambling, thinking of other ways to get the word out.
Long time lurker, first post.
I've been long in WNBD for about 15 months now. I don't have alot of shares (just a smidgen less than 1M) but have high hopes. I've been in communications with Eric on various topics in the past, and let me assure you (as others have) he's the real deal and his personal e-mails are as well written as the messages that are placed here on the board. I've probably used a gallon of Winning Colours over the past year and absolutely love the stuff. I have another quart and various 4 oz bottles laying around. And the Kind laundry detergent is great too.
Anyway, does anyone subscribe to HotOTC.com? They just put out a message today about SPNG (I wish I had bought it...).
SPNG had another monster day closing up 30.89%. I'm researching a few different companies and will announce something big this weekend.
Does anyone know if this site has done their DD on WNBD or is aware of it? Might bring some new eyes and money into us.
Just a thought,
I got into this early in the morning to see what'll happen. Hopefully it'll gain more interest tomorrow.
