i'd be happy with $8 at this point.. if it means we can move on quickly..
yes lots are potentially at stake here..
I guess time will tell... hopefully very soon now.
its quite possible.. they throw us a bone.. call it F&R.. and we'd be none the wiser.. since all of us are tired of waiting.. i.e. give us 10 Billion.. make all preferred whole and most of us would be whoopiee doodle.. but really.. the motherload has been siphoned off by all the actors behind the scenes..
why is it taking Andrews so long to schedule a hearing .. or rule on Alice's case? .. feels like its been almost 4 or 5 months..
yup..
I guess now we wait until the 19th..?
only Thxgiving, Black Friday and the weekend .. and then Dec 2 comes.. let's hope we all go hero soon!
7.5% compounded annually?
Yea it be good to know before years end..
A credible source ? Whoever mentioned $230 per coop to you?
wonder who raised the funds to originally start this fund..
very curious about the name too: American Funds Washington Mutual A
I'm surprised any financial entity still using the 'Washington Mutual' name / brand.
this statement does appear to throw in more confusion.. makes it sound like Class 18 that have escrows that will be cancelled after payment.. though us equity folks have always associated escrows with class 19 and 22..
Yup think of all the faux claims that has dragged this out.. many paid or settled for less than what the lawyers charge.
hope you are right LG.
Susman was suppose to be the heavyweight that saved us.. let's hope they did what they should have done and didn't sell us out.
so I guess the 'relevant beneficiaries' previously cited are not us..
well then I guess if the BK closes in a month or so.. we will see who all the beneficiaries are
how does it resolve in a timely fashion though if the UW continue to challenge? .. fight it in court and drag it on and on? or like you said.. we finally get paid (settlement)?
Let's hope the relevant beneficiaries distribution will be the big kahuna.. at least par for preferreds..?
Although if so, how would wmilt suddenly 'find' all the big dollars.?
Logically speaking there's only equity classes left.. there are also the hedge funds who released and the underwriters who got special treatment and moved to 19.. hopefully these players aren't somehow considered 'more' relevant than us mom and pop holders
If equity are the purported relevant beneficiaries.. then why can't they just state that ..?
It would have been more f&r if they didn't pull a reverse split on us..
So if there are no objections by dec 2. Is dec 19 the end date for the bk? Or does the judge approve the 'close' so to speak and things continue to play out afterwards?
Nope they barely acknowledged the existence of our escrows ..
I hope F&R did not mean the tiny amount of wmih turned cool shares they gave us.. maybe we should ring up susman godfrey if we should expect anymore F&R
But can anyone confirm the DTC actually holds all our records for our situation?.. especially when we don't even know if anything is coming back
yea.. there according to the LT there is nothing nothing across the board..
and there is absolutely nothing that indicates if assets or monies were to come back post BK.. some other mechanism would be established..
so really we are going in with a blind leap of faith as the BK closes..
hope they close out he BK quickly so that we can move on whether or not we get paid..
although from the motions yesterday it sounds like the wmilt has carved out a few million for itself to milk next year.. so this may have a while to go yet..
how would they pay us if all our escrow markers / cusips are cancelled?..
well I guess the question would be why were they given that deal.. particularly over a year had passed since the common folk had given their releases.. what information are they privy to that we are not. now we are at the 11th hour of this end of this saga.. and there still hasn't been a peep..
I agree it doesn't look good at this point..
All the years of waiting and speculating.. and all may turn out to be a dud.
Still hoping some light pokes through somehow and that we will receive our F&
After all the reverse splits.. even if coop goes to 300.. it still wouldn't been quite f&r
Yes the smoking gun still remains - why are the UW fighting so hard to stay in class 19?. unfortunately nobody has been able or willing to give us an answer..
Still waiting for that F&R distribution..
Yea I wouldn't expect anything..
Yup exactly what I was thinking too when I read it today.. doesn't look promising at this point
Implemented meaning we should soon expect our fair and reasonable?
now they are calling them "Escrow Markers/Escrow CUSIPs "...
what about the distribution to 'relevant beneficiaries' that was brought up a couple weeks back?
anyways sounds like nothing good will happen for us within the confines of the BK.. can only hope something fruitful will come when the BK closes
I doubt there will be either.. we can only hope that the administrative process will end and that there will be a pot of gold behind the door in the new year..
wow finally!.. maybe things will get interesting soon.. perhaps some money will be moving around?..
none at the moment..
hopefully the LT files something to close this month!
no clue.. but hopefully something is filed this month?
does anyone know if there is a last day that the BK motion to close has to be filed in advance of the December meeting?
