If you think it's junk, I hope you are not invested!
As for the rest of us, when it hits a dollar, we will be selling some shares to those who chose to sit on the sideline and wait!
Enjoy the ride up over the summer!
Investors are holding onto there shares in anticipation of Lugee Li finalizing his payout of 54 million, and the next contract announcement!
Sorry no .14s this week. But don't worry, Next week you can get in at a higher price!
I hope anyone wanting in bought today in the .15s. If not, don't worry you can buy in higher next week!
Heard that before! Last chance to get in at this price, or you can buy higher next week!
I don't see the share price staying down into the .15s much longer!
Those waiting for .12s will be highly disappointed. Next week they can buy back in much higher!
Point was already made clear. You can do any further DD you see necessary on your own!
Your distinction broke down when you tried to argue that there is no distiction between prototype and pre-production order. In fact your entire argument was built on this premise.
I merely pointed out the fallacy of this reasoning by showing one technology company-the automotive industry- making a clear distinction between prototype and pre-production order.
From the language Steipp uses it stands to reason he is using similar distinctions.
What gets me though is the depth of criticism yielded at Steipp by some over this issue without even having knowledge of this distiction in the tech world!
The point is that prototype , preproduction order to production order is protocol for any technology company.
You could care less about the process according to your post.
The fact of the matter is we all want revenue. But I am going to tell you it's not going to happen without the prototype, preproduction To production process.
I for one am encouraged by the recent reports of prototype and production orders. It means we have potential products going through the needed process to produce revenue.
You may call it blah blah blah, I say this is the needed strategy to get us to production and revenue.
GET IT?
I am done with this discussion about this topic!
"I could care less about how many RFQ's, prototypes, pre-production, blah, blah, blah."
So at first you try to convince the board that pre-production orders and prototypes are the same, only to be proven wrong.
Now you are suggesting that prototypes and pre-production orders have no relevance only revenue.
Show me a technology company that doesn't see the importance of going through prototype and pre-production stages. This is what ultimately leads to production stage and revenue.
This is too funny, and is not sound reasoning, which is what we need on this board!
Under Steipps reign, all predictions are approved and signed off by Steipp regardless of who communicates them in the CC.
Show me another CC where a dollar amount was associated with potential orders!
Absolutely green. Amazing how much time and energy is being given to try and get the stock down the last 6 weeks.
Yet every time prediction of the stock going to .12 is made the price goes sideways or up!
Those who have loaded up are in good shape! Those waiting for .12, not so much!
Thanks for the reminder, and yes I am still holding on to my shares and have added substantially in the interim.
I have to say I am out of the red and into the black. As a result of some of the delays in getting liquidmetal to perfection I have been able to buy a ton more shares at drastically reduced prices. For this I am great full!
We have overwhelming evidence that we are now production ready, and I would suggest it is time to load up your truck if you haven't done so already!
This is the first time Steipp has talked about actual orders in the potential range of 27 million dollars for 2016.
Sorry we are not going to see this drop below .15 again.
Just wishful thinking.
"It is agreed by many that the corresponding ramp up upon products dependent upon liquidmetal will delay Liquidmetal royalties based upon Vitreloy and Liquidmetal will be AFTER 2018."
Please provide a link to the MANY who agree with your statement.
I for one don't agree with it, and don't believe that the majority on this board would agree either. Steipp, Hauck and Engel certainly don't agree!
First of all, Materion will certainly be producing BMG in 2016-17 that liquidmetal and Apple will have access to.
Secondly, EONTEC in addition to other companies will be producing BMG that will be accessible to APPLE AND LIQUIDMETAL in 2016-17.
Thirdly, please show a link from Apple or Liquidmetal stating that they are solely reliant on Materion for BMG. There are no such links because neither are dependent on Materion in the way you propose.
Bottom line is liquidmetal and Apple are in a place to ramp up production of BMG PRODUCTS in 2016-17. Views contrary to this are just wishful thinking!
Your point is unclear and irrelevant to the case I just made regarding the distinction between prototype vs pre-production orders.
It's correction to much of the criticism of Steipp based on false assumptions and lack factual information!
Hipple actually states that ramp up of BMG will occur as soon as 2018!
However, as has already been discussed on this board, liquidmetal and Apple are not solely dependent on Materion for BMG.
Infact, EONTEC, our new partner manufactures BMG that both liquidmetal and Apple can utilize. But there are other companies the can draw from as well.
So please explain what will keep liquidmetal or Apple from ramping up production of products over the course of 2016-17! They have access to all the BMG they need.
Below is an example from Wikipedia and the car industry that makes a distinction between prototype and pre-production order.
"Pre-production cars are vehicles that allow the automaker to find problems before a new model goes on sale to the public. Pre-production cars come after prototypes, or development mules which themselves are preceded by concept cars. Pre-production vehicles are followed by production vehicles in the mass production of them for distribution through car dealerships."
To attribute ignorance or deception to Steipp over distinguishing between prototype vs pre-production order does not take into consideration the FACT that this distinction is made in other technologies including the multi billion dollar automotive industry!
I am afraid your argument against Steipp that is not based on FACTS regarding this issue of prototype/pre-production order only confuses those who are trying to make sound decisions for investments here.
What's your point?
Predictions of time lines happen all the time for companies that have to be modified.
Apple, Engel are both a part of this club. I don't think anyone would consider them failures for not producing a bmg product yet!
I agree with most of what you say.
I think it might be a little extreme to say "Steipp doesn't care about the share price".
I've seen him in some interviews where he does indeed express concern.
But I believe the point is valid that his primary focus right now is to make liquidmetal a long term success story. The share price will come along as we move toward the achievement of this goal.
Thanks for the article Yama. I was just reading it again this morning!
It's been a long wait, but it is highly encouraging to see the development of the IP by Apple and liquidmetal the last 6 years, the perfection of the injection molding machines by Engel the fall of 2015, and now the cheaper bmg and strategic partnership with EONTEC and Lugee Li for mass production of liquidmetal.
I believe Steipp and partners have set up liquidmetal for long term success, rather than the quick pop.
Our first substantial contract will send this stock soaring, and show the world the readiness of this technology!
This is the first time he has specifically stated pre-production orders. Others were in prototype stages.
Please provide your proof for any announcement of pre-production orders before this 1st quarter 2016!
In time. This is a ground breaking technology.
If Atakan the inventor said it would take 5 years from 2012 for Apple to develop the technology for commercial use after spending roughly 500 million dollars, what is your reasoning for saying Steipp should have already produced profitability in regard to revenue?
Amazing the criticism toward Steipp without clear reasoning in the process.
Steipp and Apple have brought this technology to the front door. We are now starting to see pre-production and production orders come in. This is ramping up in 2016-17 as Steipp said it would.
"Free shares"
How about the fact that he works for his shares. This is part of his compensation.
How do you know what Otis does? Have you talked with him and asked him? Or do you go on hearsay of what others post on this board that just make assumptions about how he functions for the company?
Please give us proof for such strong accusations against liquidmetal staff!
Link please!
By the way, if Lugee Li does buy out liquidmetal and takes it private, good luck to Apple trying to control the Chinese governments use of APPLES IP in CE.
And good look to anyone trying to control the Chinese governments use of the technology and IP in military applications!
I believe liquidmetals deal with Lugee Li is one of the best decisions they have made this decade that will ultimately befit shareholders!
I like the fact that liquidmetal chose Lugee Li, and not the other way around.
Indeed liquidmetal had the opportunity for cash flow from developing partnerships with other companies, but they chose Lugee Li be cause of his deep pockets, Eontecs IP and ability to mass produce Bmg's, and Li's networking ability in China as an experienced and credible businessman!
Lugee Li representing China has huge plans for this technology. He plans on making a boat load of money from it.
Is it possible that Li could purchase enough shares to have majority control of liquidmetal. Sure. But if he wants to take liquidmetal private, he will be paying out 1.50 per share to buy up the remaining shares to take the company private. Steipp and company will not settle for less!
I don't really care whether it's Apple or the Chinese that make the pay out. Bottom line is a pay day is coming soon!
What I mean is:
1. Visser had no experience in manufacturing bmg; EONTEC lead by Lugee Li has mass scale manufacturing ability of bmg.
2. Visser wrongly assumed he could do bmg production as a Lone Ranger; Lugee Li has networking ability with 20-30 other major production companies in China that he will work with.
3. Visser loaned 3 million dollars to liquidmetal and then dumped his shares into the open market because liquidmetal fired him; Lugee Li is INVESTING 64 million dollars into liquidmetal, sharing his IP from EONTEC, bringing on his own people to liquidmetal board of directors, and INVESTING LONG TERM into this company!
Again no comparison between Visser and Lugee Li.
Visser and Lugee Li - no comparison!
All the information by Li and liquidmetal affirms Lugees long term investment into liquidmetal.
We wont hear about the extension until next cc. This is protocol.
Comparing real state to the stock market is a poor choice of analogies.
Liquidmetal is a 21st century innovative technology trying to find a market, real estate has been around for centuries already having a market.
I have never had a problem finding a market for homes -for example.
On the other hand, I have invested in liquidmetal knowing full well this technology would take time to perfect, that it would cost millions, and that it would take time to find a market.
Atakan the inventor said 5 years back in 2012 just for Apple to get it to a place for commercializations.
I believe Steipp has brought us to the front door of finding a market for this technology. I myself am not going to cry about what it's taken us to get here.
I am still looking forward to the summer and what it brings!
Holding long!
Some have quoted more dilution with this Lugee Li deal to try and scare shareholders to sell.
But the fact of the matter is Lugge Li is not selling his shares into the open market. From liquidmetal CC:
"In addition, Mr. Li’s investment will have a tremendous impact on our ability to advance our Liquidmetal technology. Compared to prior fundraisers done through investment funds, Mr. Li’s investment is long term and is strategically focused, which aligns well with the company’s financial goals."
We can now focus on deploying our financial resources to invest in global operations without the concern for raising money in the foreseeable future. I am truly excited about the partnership with EONTEC and look forward to working with Mr. Li as our newest Board member.
The fact is that the deal with Lugee Li is Not a fundraiser like those done in the past, but a LONG TERM INVESTMENT. This means that the worth of Liquidmetal is not devalued, rather as we have seen it becomes valued higher. Therefore, the rise from .07 to .015-.018. THIS WILL CONTINUE AS MORE NEWS IS RELEASED SOON
Steipp himself said that as investors begin to understand the incredible value that the deal with Lugee Li brings we will see the stock price rise.
THOSE SELLING OFF RIGHT NOW WILL BE IN FOR A SURPRISE WHEN THE STOCK PRICE RISES DRASTICALLY. This could happen at anytime over the course of the summer.
I am in real estate and own real estate. Your comparison makes absolutely no sense to me at all!
Good FACTUAL information about Steipp.
I disagree with the post making acussations against Steipps character based on assumptions but NO facts.
To say that he has a golden parachute so he somehow has ill motives towards shareholders makes no sense at all.
Steipp and team have been working hard to get a disruptive technology off the ground!
Accusations against his character and motives are based on ASSUMPTIONS. There is not one piece of evidence for any of there accusations!
Holding long and believe in team Steipp!!
Still waiting for a link or information on how liquidmetal has paid dearly.
Not so clear in your latest post.
Thank you!
So you are saying that Engel has been waisting there time working with liquidmetal in this partnership for the last 6 years, because liquidmetal is working with an outdated bmg!
I beg to differ and highly disagree. In addition as you stated Lugee Li opens up other BMG formulas. But NO where do I see any evidence that the current liquidmetal BMGs are somehow outdated. Tell this to HAUCK, TELL IT TO ENGEL, TELL IT TO APPLE WHO IS CREATING PATENTS WITH IT!
I think you missed the part where Atakan said it would first be used in a smaller part like a hinge.
As far as I know liquidmetal has never produced a hinge using IM.
