What's your point boundas. This release was from almost a year ago.
Used all 3 email addresses listed on RAPT website.
All came back as undeliverable. Think others already reported this problem.
Forget who was going to try and call Tom Gleason. Please point this out to him if you can get through.
Would like to learn more about the Patent Pending action regarding the mineral recovery process.
Much of the patent information may be proprietary to RAPT and thus not available to the general public or investors. However, a patent pending number should have been issued and RAPT should be willing to inform investors where the application stands in the approval process.
Could someone with prior or expected contact with Tom Gleason pose this question to him?
I have already forwarded an email to info@raptortechnologygroup.com
but am uncertain if this is a viable email address.
You still figuring a pull back sometime soon? Or do you believe covering starting tomorrow might push the pps up?
Thanks for the feedback. Told you I was neither a miner nor a geologist! You seem to have a background in this area that I do not.
Quite honestly I heard the same thing but don't have a clue if it is true or not. I recall that I may have read it somewhere on this website, not necessarily this stock. Of course, the fact that it is posted does not make it true.
Most concerning to me is the clear appearance that this is not a level playing field with RAPT what with all this curious after hours action. Of course, we all know that playing pennies is a risky game since we oftentimes cannot separate fact from fiction. Most rookies (like I was with KDKN several years ago) place way too much faith in what they read. The tales that are told and the PRs that are released sound wonderful (too good to be true?) and are cleverly constructed. Right now, for example, COUGF is on a tear. Lots of PRs and glowing projections about the future. Of course, all these PRs have a disclaimer section as long as the PR itself which basically says "none of what we publish may ever happen." And "you may lose your entire investment." Same is true with RAPT.
It's one thing to lose your investment because you assumed too much risk. Entirely another if it turns out you were duped. Could someone explain, for example, how COUGF has a market cap of 237 MM when at last SEC report it was producing maybe 250 barrels of oil a day? In addition, much of pump on COUGF is near carbon copy of what was published on KDKN a couple of years ago. Same investment advisory firm (SISM) and same analyst (Schlotter). KDKN was touted as the next Exxon. And yet when you read the COUGF fine print, it is joined at the hip with KDKN. I personally would not touch COUGF with a 10 foot pole.
Back to RAPT. Wonderful story line I must admit. But verify what is true. For example, RAPT supposedly developed some process by which they can extract 25K worth of minerals from each ton of processed material with a supposed capacity of 10,000 tons a year. The touters point out that is 250 MM a year. By math it is. But heck, a cubic yard of top soil can easily weight over a ton. I'm not a miner or geologist but getting the equivalent of 20 ounces of gold out of every ton of processed material is a fairy tale methinks. Anyone ever watch that "Alaska Gold" show on cable? It is hard to find gold, silver, etc. They work all summer long for a few ounces of gold and they process hundreds of tons of material every day.
But I digress. I really want RAPT to succeed but I have serious doubts as to the validity of the info we are reading. JMO.
But all the above aside, it sure seems to me that someone or some firm has an unfair advantage and can do whatever they please after normal trading hours. May very well be legal but it sure ain't a level playing field. Then top it off with unsubstantiated claims of a rosy future. See my point?
Guys, I want RAPT to flourish but I am growing increasingly suspicious.
From a fundamental standpoint RAPT is not worth the current value. Of course, if what we read is accurate, it is way under valued. I think we need demonstrated proof of the potential that RAPT has. Saying it does not make it true.
Realize the pro-RAPT crowd will not like this post but I needed to get it off my chest. Hope my doubts are unfounded.
Leo,
I don't understand these after hours deals either. I know after hours trading is allowed but I don't fully comprehend how people can dump large blocks of stock (and therefore drive the pps down).
Believe Pd2play indicated that after hours volume was easily 30% of the days total and that there was at least one sell order of perhaps 600K shares.
Does anyone know who the market makers are for this puppy? It sure seems that they are taking advantage of the small guys like me.
Heywoody and Pd2play ... what's your take on this?
Sure seems like the deck is stacked against the individual trader.
These are the same toads who caused the market meltdown that cost most everyone a bucket load.
Could someone beat into my head what always happens right after close. Plodding along for hours at .79 +/- a tad. I was not tracking volume other than it was light.
Now, like everyday this week the market closes and the after hours bubbas drive the pps down by 5-6 cents. And I think a spike in volume but I can't be sure of that.
Was today's last .792 or was it .73? And the before hours crew will screw around with this next week I suppose.
Does seem like we have a level playing field here. Is this the MM playing games with us'uns?
Can someone educate me?
Also, I forgot to check. Is the market open on Monday, President's Day?
Me too. Please post it when you can.
Light volume makes me think the longs stayed long and the shorts ... well I don't know what the shorts did. We'll see.
Thanks
I'm tracking with you.
Surf ... been keeping my eye on AXGI in case of a drop to buy some
more.
However, zero shares traded today. Should that be a concern?
Bid at .03, asked at .04 but just sitting there. 33% premium on the bid/ask spread is not my cup of tea.
Guess I will need to wait until the stock has some activity.
What think you?
I tend to think you are right. Let's see what happens between now and 4 PM.
Yes, it is moving well again today.
Any thoughts of what can of run we might expect?
RAPT has different trading pattern today. After what seems to be a routine pop to recover after hours drop (I guess I still don't fully understand what is happening there), stock has been trading in a very narrow range just around .79 for at least 3 hours. On the one hand this appears good since we have not had any periods of drops today. But this is all on low volume.
Any of you technical types out there have a read on this. Hoping it stays where it is in advance of a late afternoon pop might get it over the .80 barrier.
Also, I got into LMCO 2 days ago. Seems to be doing very well. Not sure if it has legs however.
My only source on this was the COUGF annual report filed with the SEC last July or August.
In that report it was stated that they were producing about 250 barrels of oil per day. Could be more than that now but I don't know.
Regardless, OPEC it ain't.
I don't subscribe to Stocktwiter services but I do do email alerts. Just got one after market open.
Glad I already have some shares.
GL to all.
Well put.
I will poke around a bit and see what I can find. Will share anything of interest.
Pd2play provided additional short data. I was curious to see what correlation there might be between shorts and stock price.

2 biggest gain days were 9 Feb (+.32) and 14 Feb (+.181), which also happen to be the most active short days by far. Coincidence? I think not. May not be a predictor of anything but I do find it interesting and perhaps an indicator.
Pd2play ... is there any way to track short activity during the trading day? I use TDAmeritrade and will poke around to see if I can find. Also need to find a case study on a stock that crashes to see if there is a discernible correlation between crashing and short activity. If nothing else, idle curiosity.
I like poking around.
Hey Surf ... another rookie question.
I only have a basic membership in the Hub. This is never going to be a full time gig for me but I wonder if I should upgrade my membership a bit.
What do you recommend?
Thanks.
Pd2play has been kind enough to post the short numbers for the past few days. Here they are all together ...

Even though some are clearly still shorting, it is also apparent that a good bit of covering is taking place. Even though about 6.6 MM shares have been shorted since Feb 14, the overall number of shares shorted has actually dropped by 2.45 million. It is also clear that a ton of covering had to take place during the Feb 16 trading day with nearly a million shorted but the total outstanding shorts dropping by a shade under 3 million.
Don't want to read too much into this but it seems to me that a huge backlog of shorts is not developing at this point.
Could one of our technical wizards comment on this?
Good luck to all.
Anybody have a clue why this sucker has decided to go negative after 4 plus hours in the green.
Hey, I hope I am wrong also and you recover all of your downside. Just telling you what my prior experience with these guys was.
COUGF is actually up quite nicely but I haven't seen any evidence that it is dragging up KDKN and TAMO with it.
Good luck. Always read the disclaimers, never buy at what appears to be a top, and if you get a profit don't hold one hoping for one more dollar.
Appreciate your feedback.
When I realized the same people (SISM, Schlotter) were pumping this sucker, I stayed out. May have lost a gain but I was not ready to buy their song this time around.
I have a personal tendency to ride them up too long and lose some or all of my profit so I erred on the side of caution.
Hope you make a killing and then ride off into the sunset with their bucks this time around.
Plus the guy writing the release either works for the PR company or is a company official who ghost writes the release for the PR company. I trust them about as far as I can throw them.
Good luck.
Appreciate your feedback. Most of my experience is with big board stocks and I am still trying to understand pennies so I don't lose my shirt.
Thanks
That's not what the release said. Short interest has accumulated over a period of multiple days. Margin calls will liquidate some of the shorts but that is directly dependent on the account balance of the short seller which will be different for each. Other short sellers will suck it up and voluntarily cover if the stock continues to rise. Most short sellers, in fact, would have likely put in a stop loss to limit the damage should the stock run quickly upward.
But no where in the release is their any proof that most will have to cover next Tuesday. The MM might be able to influence this but we have no knowledge of that.
IMO this pump sends the message that Tuesday will be a big covering day but I still see no proof of this.
Hey, maybe Tuesday will be a big covering day but the release is vague concerning that. JMO.
Thanks for the feedback. I can't watch the market all day either.
I am not real saavy in shorting ... but it sure sounds like a safer course of action.
So I take it you are waiting for the inevitable plunge?
Do you ever try to ride the stock up, take a modest profit and then short on reversal?
Stumbled across your post.
Spot on. The same characters who have touted KDKN for many years did the same thing with TAMO. And now COUGF looks like the pump of the month. As you are surely aware, COUGF will likely be gasping for air fairly soon.
They played this game back in Jan 11 and apparently got many takers at 5 bucks a share. Not likely those folks will ever see that number again but human nature being what it is many will hang waiting for the pop that never comes.
Nice post.
There is no doubt that COUGF is currently being actively pumped by multiple PR firms who are compensated for the privilege.
Stock was actively pumped in the Nov/Dec 2010 timeframe and reached as high as the low 5 dollar range in early Jan 11. In fact it had a very good run that started in late Nov 10. Stock rose from less than $2.00 to over $5.00. Big losses started on 25 Jan 11. By 8 Feb 11 the stock had dropped to as low as $2.00 a share, easily a 60% drop in about 2 weeks.
Looks like to me there has been another wave of pumping and the stock has reacted well to something around $3.19.
The 64K question is how high it will go (I seriously doubt that those who bought in at over 5 beans a share will recover their losses) and when will it tank. Notice I said when will it tank, not if it will tank. These pumped stocks follow a pattern and will surely fall of the table at some point. Of course there is no way to determine when the dumpers will start dumping.
The relationship between COUGF and both KDKN and TAMO is purportedly a mutually beneficial one ... if COUGF pps increased so would the other 2 stocks. COUGF is up 35% since 8 Feb 11.
KDKN is up 1 cent in the same timeframe (5%). TAMO is actually down 1 cent (~ 7%) in this timeframe.
They sure do not appear to be joined at the hip to me.
I trust this group of supposed managers about as far as I can throw them. They duped me and I fear they are duping you.
I would be as pleased as punch to be wrong about this and that all 3 companies are fledgling EXXONs. Just don't see it.
I just cannot see how either KDKN or TAMO will return to the .70 and .90 levels that you bought them at. Just because they claim that increases in COUGF will benefit the other 2 does not mean it is going to happen. If it does happen I would personally recover whatever you can. At some point you may have to suck it up and recover what you can. TAMO is back at day 1 prices of 7/30/2007. KDKN has been around since 2002 or so. Shares were at $48 per share for a cup of coffee then quickly collapsed. Have been as low as less than a penny. Do not assume these stocks can't go lower ... they can go to zero!
But please, seek some second and third opinions on this.
P.S. - Nothing Schlotter has ever written has come through. Either he is a bad analyst or ????? Also have no idea who bestowed the title of 4 star analyst on him or what it means. It sure is not based on sound analysis and projections.
Here's a question for Gleason for your consideration. But first a bit of background. The following quote taken from the lead-in article on the RAPT board.
"Raptor Fabrication and Equipment, Inc. ("Raptor"), has started up its newest biodiesel plant for its customer, Greenwave Biodiesel of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The facility successfully produced its first batch of ASTM certified biodiesel and will now begin its commercial production of biodiesel fuel.
The Greenwave facility utilizes Raptor's flagship mid-sized, multi-feedstock production system and is capable of producing 3.6 million gallons of biodiesel per year. System production can be remotely monitored by Raptor to insure maximum efficiency and up-time."
I went to the Greenwave Biodiesel website. I looked high and low on this website and could not find any evidence of a business association with RAPT. The only things posted in their news section dealt with organizations and states who use biofuel.
Ask Gleason why his Greenwave business colleagues apparently don't think enough of RAPT to even mention it on their website.
For your consideration.
Heywoody,
As suspected, the after hours PR release was followed last night by a pump email. For those who have not seen it, see below.
If I were the PR firm guess I'd do the same thing they are. They claim that next Tuesday will be a magic day for the stock but don't give one iota of reasoning why.
FYI.

Dear Members,
Very calm consolidation day today for RAPT…
Did you see that cover today the last 20 minutes? That just shows that there is still a massive short in there..
I know for a fact now from a source I trust that they will be covering pieces for the rest of the week…but Tuesday is when the the massive call to cover begins…
We are winning because what they are covering here is at a loss!
I believe maybe 1-2 more days of consolidation and on Tuesday of next week we could see RAPT explode!
RAPT is building a beautiful strong support base right in this range!
For the most part EVERYONE has caught a win on RAPT…and I know there are just a handful left in there being patient…your reward could come on Tuesday!
In the mean time RAPT keeps putting out great news

For those who are wondering another 938,695 sold short today..

Thanks Woody. We are all trying to do the right thing. I got real upset when I stumbled onto the COUGF board earlier today, connected the dots, and realized that others were getting fleeced just like I did. Brought back nasty memories.
Once again, I really hope RAPT turns out to be the real thing. But I am extremely cautious and more than a bit suspect. Better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks for what you do.
Hope you're right. I paid a nasty price with this same crew with KDKN. Sure looks like a copy cat here.
Woody,
I am planning on doing exactly that regarding KDKN, COUGF and TAMO. I only just recognized the linkage between KDKN (my painful experience) and COUGF & TAMO earlier today.
However given the extensive disclaimers that apparently many don't bother to read, I suspect I am facing an uphill battle. Plus I have no hard evidence at this point.
Regardless, I call your attention to what I intended to be my main point in my last post:
"Where am I headed? Does anyone have any evidence at all that there is any truth behind all these RAPT releases? There is a lot of nice sounding, but in my view, unsubstantiated info floating around right now. Well meaning posters analyzing not necessarily accurate info. Logic and technical analysis doesn't work so well if the underlying facts are suspect. Not saying that is the case with RAPT but I am more than a bit concerned."
Still hoping that someone has at least some evidence that these PRs on RAPT are on the up and up. It's easy to rationalize what one wants to believe and this is certainly a compelling story ... just like KDKN was. For example, I can find nothing regarding American Grease other than the PR. Someone was going to try to talk to Gleason today but could not connect. Etc., etc.
I hope all of the PR on RAPT is based on fact and it is merely an effort by them to raise capital by selling stock. Hell, I hope RAPT turns into a biofuel colossus. But has anyone considered the possibility, however remote it may be, that this is all too good to be true. With only a couple of minor exceptions, RAPT PRs seem only to be released after Market Close.
If I were in Florida I'd do a face to face.
Just trying to establish a bit of comfort zone.
Thanks for the post. Had not seen this release.
However, starting to get concerned about a disturbing pattern that is developing. Goes something like this ... market closes and minutes later another PR talking about some new news about how RAPT is putting the pieces together for a biofuel powerhouse or something related to that.
Then I will wager sometime late tonight or tomorrow AM Siri.biz will tout this release as yet another reason why RAPT is ready to fly.
Just because PRs are released does not make them true. I got suckered in big time with KDKN about 2 years ago. Now I see that pattern repeating on COUGF. Even the same players. I posted my thoughts on COUGF on that board earlier today if anyone is interested. IMO COUGF is a dead solid perfect fantasy.
Where am I headed? Does anyone have any evidence at all that there is any truth behind all these RAPT releases? There is a lot of nice sounding, but in my view, unsubstantiated info floating around right now. Well meaning posters analyzing not necessarily accurate info. Logic and technical analysis doesn't work so well if the underlying facts are suspect. Not saying that is the case with RAPT but I am more than a bit concerned.
Would appreciate the thoughts of others.
Appreciate the feedback from you and the last poster.
OK, all in all a pretty miserable trading day for RAPT. Death by a thousand cuts on light trading volume.
Anybody got any thoughts going forward?
Boundas,
I edited my long post several times so if you read it more than 5 minutes ago I have added some more thoughts.
Not sure holding on is a great strategy. I guess if you wait long enough the pump will sucker in new and less experienced people looking for easy money (like I was) and the pps will head back up. But no guarantee on that as many of these waste away to virtually nothing and basically dry up. The pumpers will use a story as long as it works and weave beleiveable twists into their tale. Eventually they start afresh and do it again and again and again.
Can others chime in and help Boundas out? I think he would appreciate more opinions than just mine.
