Someone posted an email several times that Mark said there were several large deals they were working on, and that out of any of those could come a buyout, even though there was no buyout in the works as of that email. Someone just posted his email again, so we all know this.
I am wondering if SFOR is going to wait until the two pending patents are approved before they make any deals. Think about it. If they wait for the approval, then wouldn't the company be worth more? I am just throwing this out there as an idea. I don't know. But what do you all think? Would that be a motivation to wait? Or do you think this would have no real affect on a potential buyout?
Not to mention whatever the brainchild Ram is working on now. Who knows...for sure he's not just sitting around doing nothing! He's working on to the next level for sure. All good for SFOR and us!
It will as soon as we get the good news! :)
Agree. SFOR is the only long position I hold as well. I will have to use your method of telling people what percentage on the dollar I make on trading pennies. Many people make quite a nice income on pennies! And with SFOR, it will be way more than pennies! LOL Go SFOR!
Going up!
I've had to have a ton of patience. Not used to holding long. Feel like I'm going nuts sometimes. Used to day trading only. BUT, aside from almost needing a defibrillator a couple of times, I've held strong with SFOR. It's getting easier as November gets closer. Look at the big picture, then make your own decision. If I don't have a heart attack before Nov 9th I will be amazed! :)
Nov. 9th is the day after election day. Hmmm. I wonder what the outcome of the election will have on the market being back to back with SFOR settlement date and how that will affect SFOR trading?
COUNTDOWN--20 days until Nov. 9th.
Bidding war sounds good to me. $$$
There is a way to pay zero capital gains taxes and that is through a Roth IRA. I don't have one but wish I had gotten one before I bought stock in SFOR. I know Etrade and other brokers have them and the advantage is you can trade or invest in anything you want and never pay capital gains taxes ever. However, there are limitations on the Roth IRA such as a ceiling of income of 117,000 per year and a yearly maximum contribution of 5500. You can only use your after tax income to put in a Roth IRA. But for some people who qualify this would be a good option to avoid paying capital gains taxes. Don't really know all the pluses and minuses, but I am looking into it for next year for myself. Also, I know you can rollover a regular IRA into a Roth IRA, but not sure how that works. May be worth looking into if you want to avoid cap gains taxes on other future investments. Just a thought, but maybe you know this already. I'm sure others here know a lot more than I do.
Yeah, that is what I was hoping also. If there is a buyout, to be able to buy back in without the penalty. But I've never dealt with any situation like a buyout so I have no idea.
So then what happens if there is a buyout before you have held for one year? Aren't you then subject to the short term cap gains tax or not?
I'm a newbie and I nearly had a heart attack! I'm holding, but, geez, holding takes fortitude! I'm used to day trading. How do you longs handle it? LOL I'll have a heart attack for sure before this is over....
Oh, didn't know. You all are on top of everything!
SFOR planning BJ's Wholesale Club test marketing. Sorry I forgot to mention this two weeks ago when I spoke on the phone to someone at SFOR asking about their advertising plans. It just slipped my mind. Whoever answered the phone told me about the youtube channel so I did mention that to you all.
But, he also informed me in the same conversation they were planning on doing a test run at BJ's Wholesale Club of their products. But I haven't heard/seen anything about this at all. I'll be keeping an eye out for this info as well.
Don't know if it's still in the works or what. That would be great especially with the holidays coming up. Like I said, I don't know if they are actually going through with it, but so far everything they say has been true.
I hope someone answers this, Randol, I am curious as well what it means exactly. Did you place it as a limit order? Hmmmm. Have no idea.
She is unstoppable! Go SFOR!!!!!
I only got in to SFOR a couple weeks ago. Hadn't even heard of the company til then. I have not flipped SFOR. It wasn't my plan to flip it when I saw the potential for this company. I have to admit, though, I was tempted last week to flip it for a quick profit and buy back in. But, I was afraid I'd never get my shares back at the price I purchased them for, and knew I'd regret that.
So I am being strong and patient and holding the line, which isn't always easy for me. I've read too many posts about people regretting selling and not getting back in at their initial pps. I am holding for the big payoff.
And it's fun watching this stock. It's refreshing to not hate a stock. LOL. I even sold another penny stock I hated for a slight loss just to get more cash to purchase more SFOR shares. And even though that is not my M.O., (I never take a loss intentionally) I don't regret that, as I feel SFOR is worth the investment. So, I am holding long and strong and enjoying the ride. :)
All positive. And you have to wonder what that brainchild Ram is working on as we speak. No doubt there will be more this guy comes up with. That is what he does. He invents. He's not sitting around twiddling his thumbs. He's already probably working on the next level of cyber security. So SFOR has nowhere to go but up. They are at the top of their game, the hottest topic everyone needs. I think we are all in for nice surprises as time goes on, above and beyond the lawsuits, and existing product sales, because SFOR is a forward-thinking, solution oriented company. Yay SFOR!
How much will we go up tomorrow? Another 45%?!!
HO HO HO! Merrrry Christmas!!!! LOL
George Waller also says the following on that youtube presentation at 42:50 in. "Our keystroke encryption has been accepted by Intel and we work with directly embedding it onto the chip. So when you use keystroke guard it literally embeds its key management process down onto the Intel chip and we are the only keystroke encrypted technology that's certified and works directly with Intel."
Legal question. If the 3 infringers settle before the court date, would licensing agreements be part of that settlement or would they be dealt with separately from a cash settlement? How did it happen with Microsoft? (Sorry, I am still catching up on all SFOR news as fast as possible--only been here 2 weeks).
I'm new and I'm holding! Only have a measly million shares compared to some of you. But, oh well, I hadn't even heard of the company until 2 weeks ago. I'm anticipating great things. GO SFOR GO!
You are correct. Insofar as possible, I watch my stocks like a hawk. I never put in sell orders ahead of time. Everyone uses different methods. I prefer to watch and then make a decision as I watch things unfold. If one had to be "offline" for a couple of days for some reason where you had no ability to deal with your stocks, then I could see putting in a sell order to cover yourself in the event of your absence from the market. But...I prefer monitoring my stocks at all times, and waiting with patience when I feel there's a good reason to. For me, SFOR is worth waiting for.
FYI, it's 19.99 for one device, 29.99 for two devices, and 69.99 for 5 devices on the strikeforcetech.com website. Would be easier if someone had a family to buy on the website for multiple devices rather than purchasing multiple boxes at Target. Ordering was super easy and fast. Downloads real quick.
BTW, it is only 19.99 for ONE device on the Strikeforce website, which is where I got mine since I only have one device. Strikeforcetech.com.
Stupid question. I have never dealt with a company buyout situation. What is the timeframe from when the buyout is announced to the actual money showing up in individual shareholder's accounts? Is it days, weeks, months? Is there a standard or rule for this?
So am I! Bought another 100,000 yesterday.
And what about the international market? Does anyone know what's on the horizon for that? (sorry I am still catching up on SFOR)
Try and find some creative ways to make some extra money to use to buy SFOR shares. Most people have stuff they no longer want or need in their homes just taking up space. Maybe try and sell some things. You can always keep buying in smaller increments. Every 100 bucks you get another 10,000 shares at this price. May not seem like much but it will add up. It's worth it as it is an investment in your future.
On Etrade as well!
I do not feel this PR is fluff. I spoke to someone at Strikeforce on Friday (can't remember his name, whoever answered the phone). I asked about their advertising plans and he informed me of the intent to do some social media advertising (specifically mentioned youtube) this week. (I did post this info on Sunday afternoon here.)
He said part of the problem was convincing people they need their products. He said most people assume their anti-virus software covers them. So part of the reason for the youtube channel is to educate people that they actually NEED this.
But as anyone who's ever had a virus on their computer knows, sometimes the damage is already done before the anti-virus software detects it. So, he said they have a way to go in convincing the masses they actually need their products. It's simply an educational process.
I hadn't even heard of the company until about a week and a half ago. Looked like a good investment and I purchase around a million shares over the past week after reading about SFOR non-stop. Wish I had discovered it sooner, but I am in.
We have to keep in mind, there is always a learning curve before something is adopted by the masses. It just has to catch on as a "must have". Everyone has a firewall, but Strikeforce is the next level beyond and in addition to a firewall.
Another thing is, can't remember where I read it, it was on one of the investor sites I think, but it made the analogy that anti-virus software is like the alarm that goes off in your house when intruders get in. But Strikeforce is the gun hidden under the bed to neutralize them. Once people "get it", the company will take off. This has happened with many other companies. SFOR just has to break through the barrier.
Many people still don't understand that their smartphones are hackable, and even if they know it, they assume it won't happen to them, or they choose to have their heads in the sand. Like having your wallet stolen. You never think it will happen to you until it does.
We all know this is a good product. But the public needs to feel this is a "must have". When that happens...their sales will explode. It's why I bought stock in this company shortly after hearing about it. I know all investing is somewhat of a gamble, but I'm willing to take the risk as are many others here because we know what can happen and we know it's a great product.
Word of mouth is also great advertising. Giving SFOR as gifts, when people see how easy it is and how cool it is, everyone will want it. It will be like teenagers and Uggs. "WHAT, you DON'T have Strikeforce!" (GASP!)
This board is incredible and I'm glad I discovered it (yes I am a SFOR newbie). I learned a lot from a lot of people on this board who have done a ton of research and it made it easier for me to learn about SFOR. A great place to keep everyone informed on what's happening. I do appreciate you all and the effort here. I think I am addicted now....
Thank you Strikeforce Enforcers...and for reading this long post.
Even if I don't post, I am lingering....
What is everyone's prognosis for today and the rest of this week for SFOR stock? Are we going up?
Hello all! I just purchased the MobileTrust software off the Strikeforce website for my Samsung Galaxy phone. I own stock in this company so I wanted to buy the product and try it out. Here are my initial thoughts if anyone is interested who hasn't purchased the product and is curious about it. BTW, I am no computer genius or techie, so if I can use this, anyone can.
I love it so far. And it's pnly 19.99 a year. I think you are automatically charged every year. That is 1.66 a month for your mobile phone to be secure.
Took only about 10 minutes tops to order it and download it. Very easy and comprehensive. Once you order it, you receive an email for the order. In this email it says "getting started" and you click on "register your email". It provides an activation key code. I cut and pasted the activation key code where it was required as you register your email, which is simply typing in your email, choosing a password for your Strikeforce account, and providing the activation key.
After you do that, you will get a second email which is to confirm your activation and then you click on the appropriate MobileTrust button (for android or apple that you have). Then download. If you are downloading to your phone, you are supposed to finish the activation and the downloading process on the phone. So I opened that email on my Samsung Galaxy and finished the process.
When you get the download page, just hit skip because you've already purchased it and hit download. Took less than one minute to download. Then the MobileTrust icon is on your phone!
When you click on the icon on your phone, a menu of 6 items comes up. This includes: secure browser, password vault, one-time passwords, password generator, settings, and user guide.
You have to select "mobile trust secure keyboard" as your default keyboard for the encryption to take place as you type. I was nervous about this at first, but it is very easy, you just select it and that's it.
And it is VERY cool. I just went to send a text to someone, and when I got ready to type, the words "secure keyboard" was right there above the keyboard on the left, with the Strikeforce logo on the right side. Doesn't change how you type or text at all. This is SO COOL. Same when you go to send an email, you see the words "secure keyboard" and the Strikeforce logo. So that is how you know you downloaded successfully and that it's working.
This software is kick***. It encrypts right at the keyboard as you type, so hackers only see garbled text. I love it. So glad I bought this. It's virtually a no brainer and it is extremely easy to understand.
When you click on the "secure browser" icon, google comes up, but now anything you search or look at on your browser is secure.
The user guide is extremely thorough with pics of every screen it talks about so you can clearly see exactly what to do.
Haven't tried the password vault, password generator, or one-time passwords functions yet, but will get to that today.
I am so glad I purchased this. It is much easier and cooler than I ever imagined. This is military grade encryption software. Once you get the hang of it, which is pretty fast, you will love it, mark my words.
I am loving this very much and can see this as a great stocking stuffer at Xmas or a gift for anyone, really. I own nearly one million shares and I am holding for a (hopefully) big payoff.
I know from being in business myself in the past, that word of mouth is a very powerful sales tool. I am telling everyone I know about it because I like this product very much.
I buy stock in companies I believe in, and I believe in this company's product. We will see how it all plays out over time.
May the Force be with you....
ALERT! Get ready for next week. Spoke to someone at Strikeforce today, whoever answered the phone. I asked about their advertising plans. He told me they planned on announcing some social media advertising including youtube next week. I didn't ask for details. Don't know if it will happen on time, but that is what he said. I am new here and I am in for the long haul with my shares.
