Dont you just love it when the MMs trade among themselves and leave us out. Of course today they didnt even look at it. Too much fun.
Mickee
irony,
good conversation you guys had there. I wish I could find some news on when Platinum movies are coming out, but there are no firm dates. These are moving targets. I think Platinum is moving in the right direction and things are progressing along nicely. Im sure there is alot of stuff going on we dont know about. With the writers strike over, production on movies have begun again. On the stock price I think HYPE and future speculation has a play in the price also. I see we now have 7 MMs in play now.
In my opinion
Maddog
No Idea. The whole market is taking a hit. We are deep in recession now IMO. Just going to have to hope Platinum can pull off some good deals and get some nice profit this year. They still need to get the word out it is trading and they have things going on. Alot of their old PRs are dated from before we started trading, and most people dont even look or know about those.
In my opinion.
Mickee
Guess We added another MM just now. Probally BMAS. Up to 6.
I looked at the level 2 link on this board.
http://66.201.236.134/export/level2.jsp?symbol=pdos
We have 5 MMs now, but only 200 shares sold. Over abundance if we have no volume. These guys are not making anyone any money, including themselves. At least the bid is a little more reasonable. Not a 10c spread.

Looks like I was wrong. Its not the CEO, Its Bill Birnes, the publisher of UFO Magazine. Might be even better though. He seems to be an expert in the field and has alot more dealings with this stuff. Close though :)
Still, my main point here is this is a hot field and since you already have the contacts, just something that we could maybe look over again? Worth at least a call to get a foot farther in the door. You may want to watch the series if your into this kind of thing and to keep up on market trends. Even the Ghost Hunters series on Sci Fi Channel is fun to watch.
Just my opinion
Heres details.

FYI- I watched a show (series) on the history channel yesterday called UFO Hunter. They do a series of investigations of UFO sites, analysises, witnesses, etc. Very Interesting. The thing that caught me was who it featured. Had the CEO from UFO Magazine as the lead. If I remember correctly, we have some sort of contract with these guys-see link below. I think right now, ghost stuff (a few series out there) UFO history/find, and creature finding seems to be a hotbed topic right now. It Maybe time to dust off the contract and give these guys a call. Heck, we could be doing a series on the unexplained ourselves every week.

Platinum Studios Previews Comic Book Challenge Winner ''Gunplay'' at Wizard World Los Angeles
Monday February 25, 10:00 am ET
"Scrubs" Star Donald Faison and "Gunplay" Creator Jorge Vega will Autograph Books; Proceeds Benefit Camp Sunshine
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Platinum Studios, Inc. (OTCBB:PDOS - News), an entertainment company that controls an international library of more than 3,800 comic book characters which it adapts, produces and licenses for all forms of media, will debut the 2007 Comic Book Challenge™ winner, Jorge Vega’s “Gunplay,” at Wizard World Los Angeles, March 14-16, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event also marks the launch of Platinum Studios’ 2008 Comic Book Challenge at www.ComicBookChallenge.com, where future Comic Book Challenge winners can find contest media and rules.
On Saturday, March 15, Vega and “Scrubs” star, Donald Faison will be on the convention floor autographing and selling copies of the preview edition of “Gunplay,” with all proceeds going to Camp Sunshine, a cause very close to the Vega family. Voted as the 2007 Agency of Distinction by United Way of Greater Portland and TD Banknorth, Camp Sunshine (www.campsunshine.org) is a year-round retreat which provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Camp Sunshine has been awarded top honors by Charity Navigator for four consecutive years; a distinction only shared by 5% of all charity’s rated by the leading charity evaluator.
“Vega has a true talent for storytelling and ‘Gunplay’ has been a phenomenal addition to our extensive library,” says Platinum Studios chairman and CEO, Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. “Finding raw, creative talent like his is the mission of our Comic Book Challenge and we are excited to announce the return of Comic Book Challenge in 2008 in which top talent will present concepts during the week of the annual San Diego International Comic-Con.”
“Gunplay” is the haunting tale of Abner Meeks, a Buffalo Soldier condemned to roam the Old West with a hellish curse slung at his waist - a demonic shooting iron that forces him to kill once a day or suffer soul-searing pain. His salvation lies in earning the trust of a boy he has never met; a boy with an agonizing secret of his own. The 32-page preview with backup prose by Christopher J. Priest (Black Panther, Quantum & Woody), invites readers to ride alongside Abner as he begins the transformation from ghoulish gunman to high plains folk hero.
“I am immensely proud and thankful to all who voted for ‘Gunplay’ said Vega. “Winning the Comic Book Challenge gave me a unique opportunity to work with a legend like Priest and the privilege to donate funds to a wonderful non-profit organization, Camp Sunshine. The Buffalo Solider is an iconic symbol in Black History and as a History teacher I have always been fascinated by this conflict-plagued era of America’s past. With the help of Donald Faison and Platinum Studios, the debut of ‘Gunplay’ and the chance to meet the fans will provide a truly special opportunity for my first graphic novel.”

Thanks Brian
It can be very confusing, who owns what, who gets a cut of, but as you explained it, I understand the concept more and more. How goes the convention. Any significant news you can give us. Alot of people at your booth and interest in the company, artists, etc?
Thanks
Mickee
Just finished watching a Witchblade chapter series on IFC called "Witchblade Reciprocity". It was labeled 2008. On every friday at 8:30pm/11:30 eastern. I did not see Platinum in the credits, but it went so fast, I could have missed it. Since this was on TV, is a new series, and we do own the characters for tv and film, is Platinum suppose to be owning this one? I dont know. Maybe DVDs to TV dont count. Brian? Did see Top Cow listed many times and Marc Silvestri listed. FUNimation also listed. At least watch it later tonight or next week. Nice Anime and good action.
Mickee
comical? I wouldnt put it past these guys to already have something lined up. Platinum knows how to use the media to their advantage.
Heres an older example
I see there are 4 MMs lined up now. We should start seeing more action here shortly. With the convention coming up, lets see if Platinum can get an interview on tv and really get this baby moving.
In my opinion only.
Maddog
Platinum and Arcana Studios to Attend WonderCon 2008
Look for Platinum Studios Comics on the convention floor of WonderCon 2008, coming February 22nd-24th.
This year marks the 22nd anniversary of Northern California’s most popular comics and pop culture event. Housed in the Moscone Center South conference center, the convention is expected to attract a record number of attendees and exhibitors.
Platinum and Arcana Studios’ staff will be on hand at the convention meeting other comic book enthusiasts and creators, answering questions about upcoming titles, as well as selling books from our library. Out of the selection available for the convention, attendees can expect to see Hero By Night, Incursion, and KISS 4K: Legends Never Die!
So then the Witchblade DVD, japanese version, that is due out here shortly is owned by Platinum?
Actually, I see it is already out, or so they say.

Maddog
I noticed that there are some Top Cow/ Image toys at Walmart. They have like the "Darkness figure" plus a few others. Not sure if we own the rights to these toys. If so, Platinum should put there name on these and not the Top Cow/ Image name. Platinum should put out there own line now of characters. There is alot of good characters that are well known and it would get the company more well known in the eyes of retailers.
Just my opinion.
Maddog Mickee
somebody got some cheap shares but I dont even see a hit at .11 on the chart.
maddog
I think this is the best we have to offer. Look at it this way. I dont think it can get any worse than it is now. At least for a few years it should be better. Of course, I could be wrong. Democrats could tax the %^&%&^ out of us and Republicans could continue with war talk. Who knows what the future hold. Gotta use your catch phrase here "Oh the irony"
:)
Mickee
Yea, unfortinatly, it make take a while for us to be moving volume wise. We need more advertising to just get the word out. We could also use more M&Ms to sell stock. There is a Wizard Convention coming in march, which should help too. If we can get on the news on tv like last year and get a good plug, talk about company projects, stock, etc, this problem will be over IMO.
Mickee
http://www.wizardworld.com/platinumstudiosupdate.html
Scott, I noticed in my searches that there is a movie being developed called "the Darkness" by the Pang Brothers. It is a combined Top Cow and Platinum Productions with Platinum financing 50% of it (according to older press releases). Now I dont know when the movie is out, could be this year or next, but a video game is to be made on the movie. That video game is out now for X-Box. Does that mean Platinum gets some revenue from the sale of the game or is this another example of Top Cow keeping these revenue of the game only. Does Platinum plan on making its own games on its characters/ movies. I also remember reading you are building a Digital Studio Division. I cant find any info on it on your website. Can you talk a little on it please.
Thanks
Mickee
Thank you for verifying this. Well, 1 week down then, 3 more to go. After this, we should see more volume. At the very least M&Ms trading among themselves if nothing else.
Mickee
And to get there, click on the link in the About Platinum group under Unique position. All Platinums links are incorporated in the descriptions. But I know you already knew this, so for others.
Mickee
You will get your chart patterns, it is just a little bit early for that yet. On your estimate, I have to say you are probally right. I looked at some Entertainment companys that have half as much going on, and those prices were in the dollars. Feel free to post charts when they come up.
In my opinion.
Mickee
Personally, I would not have said anything about anybodys mother, but he had a good question posted in there. People can say what they want as long as it is not excessive, abusive or attacking. I didnt see an attack from that post, more of a kind of why? type of question. That was why I kind of rephased it again in a seperate post. Scott was very calm and answered the question very well. "Who wouldn't include their mother in a stock offering?" Taking care of family should be high on everybodys list.
Mickee
Thanks, the last post did answer my questions and I will go on public released information about dates when I see something. Thank you for spending the time to communicate with your investors and potential investors.
Mickee
irony, looks like we picked up a new MM on level 2 (HDSN). Seems the 30 day exclusive is over already. Only took 3 days.
Now if we can just see some news and start getting the word out there, we will be rocking.
Mickee
http://66.201.236.134/export/level2.jsp?symbol=pdos
Interesting way they do things. Its too bad about "Wanted" but we know there is alot of Movies with Platinum in production credits that are getting close to release. The list is huge. Scott, can you tell us, some of the movies that we should look for this year. No dates required as we know they change constantly. Does Platinum get a percentage of the box office reciepts, maybe rights to toys, merchandise, etc along with having your movie shown?
Thanks for explaining the "Wanted" Movie.
Mickee
Here is the article jjwood was talking about.
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/news/articles/2636.asp
Thanks for the heads up. Gonna have to check it out.
Mickee
Scott, Thank you for coming. Congratulations on now being a public company. We wish you lots of success and look forward to seeing Platinum become a major player in the industry. Feel free to come on anytime to dispell any rumors or better yet, to give us some good news (public of course).
Mickee
I know the feeling.
MM
Irony, I just found that a Platinum Studios production will have a movie coming out here soon (june it looks like). It has major stars too. The trailer looks awesome. This could be a big money maker.

Well, at least it is only for 30 days. They might be busier than they want. If we get heavy volume, look out.
Mickee
I saw that. Nice volume too for the first day.
Mickee
Were pretty much the only crowd here. It should develop very quickly. That last pr looks like they just want to keep us informed. We definatly wont have a problem with communication here. Im pretty sure they know the value of investor communication. Looks like we are maintaining our .20cents so far and volume is pretty high on a friday. Monday will be better as people absorb the news over the weekend.
In my opinion.
Mickee
Looks like this just came out on business wire and yahoo.
