Nice movement into green today!
As I understand, Gov. Revenue Bonds should not dilute the stock any further. This is a long term bond guaranteed by the state of Utah and the interest rate is extremely favorable--in the neighborhood of 6-7%. With bridge loan short term financing, production on the mill can still go forward at an accelerated pace. With no need for further 504's which dilute the stock, bridge loans and LT financing this pinky is sweet.
Eye, you may be right. Dilution may end completely with the financing in place.
Blue Skies Muley, way to go.
Dig in there bud & do the work for the rest of us lazy slugs
Thanks for your info.
Muley,
Great to hear from you. I'd try to tell you I was being cryptic, but just rambling. I think Gill & boys influence big Stan and want the company to go private. I agree that lots of projects are in the works, but our buddies at POW! aren't proactive and let others do their IR work.
But then, I was busy picking my nose and so I may have misstyped too
I've been a LT supporter, but getting a little frustrated. Help calm me down
Hate MM's & NITE in particular. They make $ hand over fist at the expense of shareholders. The SEC should regulate them. All they seem to care about are investors. Pumpers should be slapped big time, but so should MM's like Nite who drive emerging companies into the ground by killing pps.
Thanks
Thanks MM2. Assume you're referring to MM's.
I only check this board from time to time and don't read all the posts. Sorry. But only have a small pos in this stock. As you said, I need to do DD, but just thought someone could give me their insight.
But guess I gotta spend time doing it all myself since no one wants to give me their opinion.
Thanks Mur.
if Stan dies and POW! makes money off his death, why would they change their attitude to their attitude to invstors? IMO they still won't put out PR's and let us know they are making coin. They'll just let folks know that they are sad about Stan's demise and tell the world that the Stan era is over.
Don't see much upside to us if Stan the man bites the big one and he's gotta be close. IMO Gill & others will take the $ & run w/o informing the shareholders.
If the pps is estimated at $-$5 by the geologist what in the heck is happening to the pps lately? MM's/Nite--seems a little far fetched to me. Can anyone enlighten me on what they think is going on with the huge downward trend????
see post 14327
I sincerely hope so too!
Have a good weekend

Thanks. I missed it.
Again. News has to come from a second party. Get on board the investor train POW! Give a care for those of us who have sacrificed to buy shares in your company and who have believed in you!
I definitely don't agree. The POW folks have never worked hard for their investors
They may work hard for themselves, but have never given any consideration to the welfare of their investors as evidenced by their total lack of company pr's, announcements of plans, etc. They rely on 2nd parties to carry the water. They need an investor attitude adjustment big time!!!
MM's, with NITE in particular have been the bane of Pinky's and have done real damage to emerging companies struggling to survive. That said, it's also possible there are some free trading shares out there that are being dumped by those who have no interest in CPRK as a long term play
IMO
Risk,
Thanks for the update. A lot of us are waiting to see what the numbers show. Hope its good!
thanks. let's see what happens when they post the numbers
Thanks, just checked them out. How long has this show been around?
I monitor this board from time to time but rarely post. Can anyone give me an update on when the 1st quarter financials are supposed to come out?
What station is he going to be on? Let me know when & I'll try to listen
Makesum, welcome back We've missed you.
I believe that the share price will remain stable and that CPRK is pursuing LT & ST financing from a number of sources so no new 504 will take place. IMO a 504 does nothing more than eventually dilute shares and not bring "gravy" (sorry about that makesum) to the person who placed the 504 and not necessarily the company.
Talk about DD! JTF gave us a great lead when he talked about Hatch Engineering. You can't believe how huge this company is. If they are looking at CPRK in any way, then this thing is huge. Take a look at their web site: http://www.hatch.ca/default.html
When do you expect to see the news out on the company?
Also, give TEVI a call, check with Boyd Soussana, TEVI's CEO and ask him to verify whether the company was ever a shell. The phone # is 866-405-3256, Ex 705. Then let us know what he had to say if you would please.
Muley, you show up in the craziest places. Is this piecer gonna do anything or not?
Kinda reminds me of what it's like for POW to give us some info...hope you're on pain killers
eye, I think JTF has proven to us that altho he posts as a private person, he is very well connected with management at CPRK. I agree that financing is a hurdle, but with assets in the ground and status of mill construction and holes dug in the ground and assays sampled, financing WILL happen. Let's just hope it happens sooner rather than later.
As usual, JTF, you seem to be in the right place with the right information. I believe you are correct for a flat near-term outlook, but with good increases with financing and production.
Hey Muley! How's the grass growin' out there? Sorry I'm a little late to respond. Didn't get a chance to get on the thread last nite. But anyway, I think the future is bright for CPRK if they get the right combination of short & LT financing they need--hopefully debt structured and if they get the mill up and operating as soon as possible in 3rd quarter. As soon as they make public any financing deal they've negotiated the stock will move, particularly if it is with a well-known company. Then as soon as production starts, "Hold 'er Luke, she's headed for the barn!"
Looks like recent copper prices have spurred Rio Tinto's Kennecott mining operations into high gear. This can only be good for us:
Rio Tinto Group to expand capacity at Bingham mine
Bloomberg News
Published: Saturday, May 17, 2008 1:28 a.m. MDT
Rio Tinto Group, fending off a $189 billion hostile bid from BHP Billiton Ltd., will expand capacity at its Kennecott U.S. copper unit by 20 percent and more than double the life of the Bingham Canyon mine.
Upgrades to a conveyer in the second half will boost refinery capacity to 327,000 metric tons a year, London-based Rio said Friday. Capacity is currently about 272,000 tons.
Rio plans to extend mining at Bingham Canyon in Utah underground, beneath the open pit. The indicated and inferred resource below the pit is 637 million tons, an increase of 628 million tons from the company's previous estimate in December, Rio said in a separate statement.
The company is continuing pre-feasibility studies to examine how to develop the Utah deposit with expansion options to extend the mine life to at least 2036, said Bret Clayton, chief executive officer of Rio Tinto Copper. The previous extent of the mine's life was 2019, company spokesman Nick Cobban said.
Great information from JTF and great direction from the company. RDG I think you have to take some information fwiw and not automatically discount it because it hasn't come out in a pr.
I'm sure the company is working on getting some financials out to us all and will at some time in the future. That always takes time and money and I believe JTF when he says their efforts are in getting the mill up and running and that is where their focus is right now. In the meantime, if we've got insight from someone like JTF, let's digest it and do with it as we will, not discount it. As for me, I'm LONG in this one.
Eye, thanks for your even handed evaluation. I agree, MM's are the bane of pinky's when it comes to shorting. The SEC should regulate them.
Have a great day and wonderful weekend all. Gotta run for the rest of the day.
Even when a pr has come out in the past, this thing hasn't moved. Just 1's & 2's and 2's and 3's forever...
dunno
Way to go!!!
New SEC rules says 1 year on R/S. But I agree with you. We are so much closer now, but we need to watch out for those who don't want a long term position and who have free trading shares to place on the market. After all, if they are free, it doesn't matter what price they get. It's a profit to them.
Have you listed your ask at a higher rate with your broker to prevent shorting?
I don't have any free's. I'm a Long termer.
I believe it's a shell according to the new SEC 144 rules
