As part of its strategy to shift its operations to high-profit, high-growth segments of the Chinese IT market, Hartcourt also intends to divest its operations in low-value, low-margin segments of the market. In line with this strategy, Hartcourt's Board of Directors has authorized the sale of its Do-It-Yourself (DIY) business back to the original owners. China's computer DIY market, in which retail stores assemble desktop computers immediately upon customer request, experienced a significant downturn in the fourth quarter of 2004. The price level for low-end branded desktop computers in China declined to that of non-branded DIY desktops, taking a substantial share of the market away from existing DIY business. Meanwhile, the pricing for notebook computers continued to erode significantly, leading to notebook computers becoming an attractive alternative to desktop computers. These factors have caused a rapid decline in market share of the entire DIY segment. Hartcourt's DIY business has recently suffered sales decline and substantial margin erosion in line with the rest of industry. Hartcourt currently has a 50.5% equity interest in a leading DIY chain store in Shanghai, for which it paid a substantial premium above the market value in 2003 in order to gain entry into the business. A final agreement is expected to be reached in the first quarter of 2005. Hartcourt will likely suffer a loss upon the sale of its ownership interest.

Don't take it personally...it is the purpose of this board to attract investors. Do a good job and you get rewarded with free shares. ...I will be as happy as anyone if he can create a profitable business here while keeping the outstanding shares where it is now, and I have no complaints with what he has done here so far. I just don't fogive and forget as easily as you do, and I remember his performance while at Hartcourt. So you see I'm not discontent, I'm just wary...I like to survive. I would not have bought my shares with him at the helm, but I will take them for free, and yes I know there is tax involved, and see what happens.

I wish it was that EZ, but I was just remembering his last accomplishment. Or was that all forgiven with his stepping aside for the great Carrie, who is now the right person for the job over in Hartcourtland, where the sky is not falling...only the price of our shares as she strips David's last efforts and starts out once again. You can praise him all you want, that is your choice...mine is to remember and see if things have changed. 15,100,000 shares now. Remember when Hartcourt had that many shares?...let's see what happens

Why am I here? OK David, fair enough...Been here since 7/7/99 and will probably be here until they make it or go belly up. As I stated in an earlier post, I still give them a shot in the dark. I just get tired of posters, not you, throwing accolades at this company and everybody affiliated with it, when all that has happened is a disintegrated share price and changes in leadership and direction. So every once in a while I comment on a post, is that a bad thing? Or has Hartcourt become so personal with you? You were one of the gifted ones, weren't you? I would like to see Carrie dump what she must, get back our shares, see how much profit is left with the remaining assets before acquiring anything else, and in the next year give us respectability in the eyes of the markets, the SEC, and us which hopefully will have a positive bearing on the price of our shares. Do I think this is possible? Not really, but I do give them a shot in the dark.

I've seen what David Chen can do here. I won't spend another penny on a penny stock. I'm not brave like you, spending a split adjusted $8.50 on a penny stock with no earnings...It's all yours. Buy all you want...I'll stick with dividend paying companies until the market clears up with a gamble here and there...I did pretty good on a gamble with Sirius Satellite, but I am out of that now. All I made was money...

Shouldn't take too much longer and Carrie will have this stock in the single digits. Then the volume should pick up as the SELLING gains momemtum...When is the next conference call?
