Another interesting patent play which has been receiving a large amount of press recently is Vringo . Vringo is almost notorious amongst the patent community for its recent courtroom victory against Google (GOOG). Vringo is different from DSS and SITO (the last stock featured in this article) in the idea that it does not have much of an underlying business (it has a few apps that are bringing in small amounts of revenue). However, in recent days Vringo has begun to fall in stock price due to a court filing in which Google has found a so called run around, in the idea of an ad system which does not infringe on Vringo's patents. If it is true, this would obviously be bad news for Vringo's shareholders as it would lower the amount of future royalties received from Google. Remember, with 30 million dollars in past damages, it seems as though Vringo will be relying on future royalties from Google in order to pay the bills. This is provided of course that Vringo is in no way successful with its appeal of the decision. Having a work-around to the point where Google would no longer infringe on Vringo's patents would lower the amount of future royalties received because Google would no longer be required to license the patent from Vringo from the day when Google updates its adwords system. Vringo will remain a volatile stock, largely following the tone of court filings. Should Vringo be successful in getting the laches ruling overturned, that could mean hundreds of millions of dollars more in past damages for Vringo (money that even if Google changed its ad system, they would still owe to Vringo). Vringo's lawyers have proven themselves to be quite capable, and have shown their ability to take out some of the titans in the internet industry.
Vringo, however, is not just suing Google. Vringo recently announced that it is in settlement talks with Microsoft (MSFT), related to a patent infringement lawsuit. This settlement would provide Vringo with much needed revenue, and would help to validate Vringo's claims in the minds of investors. The settlement talks were significant, so at the mention again of a settlement I would look for the stock to move up. However, should no settlement come to fruition, Vringo could be in for another long ride versus Microsoft, similar to the one experienced against Google. Vringo also holds a multitude of other patents, through which it is actively pursuing litigation against competitors. These competitors are not just in the United States, as Vringo has started enforcement activities in Europe as well.
Vringo is exciting due to the fact that it is also playing on another front against a large telecom company in ZTE. Vringo is suing ZTE, because of patents that Vringo acquired from Nokia (NOK). Vringo previously filed lawsuits versus ZTE in Germany and in the United Kingdom. Vringo recently expanded its European enforcement action against ZTE, through the filing of a lawsuit in France. What is very interesting about this lawsuit is that Vringo claims to have specific evidence of ZTE's infringement due to particular information uncovered during a seizure to obtain evidence (which is allowed under French law). Vringo is in my opinion the most interesting of the mentioned patent plays, simply because it has so many irons in the fire. With all of the various enforcement activities that Vringo has taken as of late, something is bound to break in Vringo's favor, the question is which will come first Google, Microsoft or ZTE?
However, Vringo is also lacking a true underlying business. Establishing an underlying business would help to cushion Vringo against any loss in court, and would provide some much needed revenue. While the scenario that Vringo is unsuccessful in its lawsuit against Google is unlikely, it cannot entirely be ruled out by the market. Vringo seems to be in a very nice position to strike, and will be for the future thanks to an agreement signed with Virginia Tech. This agreement should help to provide Vringo with the next generation of patents, specifically the companies are attempting to develop a technology that could "potentially enable first responders to quickly set up wireless networks in areas where telecommunications infrastructure has been destroyed or rendered inoperable." This technology could potentially represent a shift for Vringo, towards building an underlying business model. Obviously, this would be in the benefit of shareholders; as I mentioned above an underlying business would help to lower downside risk should the patent infringement lawsuits ultimately be unsuccessful. Vringo is an exciting patent play, and having already proved the validity of its patents in the recent infringement lawsuit versus Google, Vringo should remain on the radars of investors.
Give me another bartender!!!
They are playing for the delay in RR ruling which is possible.
The last four days the stock has went up in the am and followed up with lows at the eod. Nothing new except it went higher today than normal with much more volume. Maybe a few taking a position into the weekend for the sake of not missing out on any news. IMO
Funny none of them are responding to this lol you may be right. The 80% increase prob came from them taking a ore-pump position.
VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - Apr 26, 2013) - LCTI Low Carbon Technologies International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: LWCTF), a diversified company focused on the Clean-tech, Construction, Energy & Energy Efficiency, Environmental, Mining and Real Estate business sectors, announced today that the company will pursue up-listing to the OTCQX Marketplace after the next quarterly filing -- expected May 31st, 2010.
"The move to the OTCQX will strengthen the investment viability LCTI currently offers to its investors today," stated Bryan S. Jarnagin Chairman and CEO. "We strongly believe the feasibility of our company's value is being grossly underestimated partly due to the exchange we are currently trading on."
Reporting on the Pink Sheets market is a completely voluntary filing process which LCTI has committed to. Management feels however, with preliminarily Year-to-Date numbers of $13mm EBITDA and $10.75mm Net Income -- increases of approximately 62% and 600%, respectively, from Fiscal 2012 -- the markets are likely more "apt to respond favorably when LCTI is trading on the OTCQX," said Jarnagin.
Mr. Jarnagin continued, "What our shareholders must keep in mind is that each of our technologies is independently valued by a premier U.S. valuation company. Each of our properties is independently valued by licensed real estate appraisers. And in both cases, as a general practice, we look to have these valuations qualified verified and accepted by the standing auditor at that time. Therefore, with confidence I can surely say, if forecasts determine LCTI will likely have an Enterprise Value approaching close to $200 million dollars by Fiscal year end, I feel inclined to support those findings."
A premier tier of the U.S. Over-the-Counter Market, the OTCQX is home to such companies as Adidas AG, BNP Paribas, Air France and Akzo Nobel N.V. People close to the company believe the combination of current asset valuations and revenues, along with the projected values of pending projects, Low Carbon Technologies is a good fit for the OTCQX.
"We expect LCTI to be in a prime position to initiate a move to the OTCQX by Fiscal year end [8/13], by at which point, we believe that today's shareholder, will be the greatest benefactor of tomorrow's progress," concluded Mr. Jarnagin.

Sounds very interesting! Have to do some homework on this one.
Nice DD John helps a lot!
HLF on the move ahead of earnings.
Will report Monday.
Short covering in progress IMO
Should see a continued strong top line and bottom results
Could get real fun here real quick
That fits in with the number 50 million that keeps floating in my head.
Sorry my memory is shot!
Can anyone tell me 3-5-7% of 20-40% of $???? For the RR.
Can anyone answer this for me I asked before but got no response. I don't ask for much lol
Ok guys I've messed up my numbers in my head. Can anyone tell me 3-5-7% of 20-40% of $???? For the RR.
I know it won't be exact but I also know there is an estimate out there some where. Just can't remember I'm getting old and forgetful. Now I know what my parents where talking about.
Lmao very well put
All my posts are:
IMO and BS
We know better at least about the BS part lol
I'm just laughing too much been over at the YMB. If you don't take them seriously and no one should ever do that they can be hilarious. Bunch of brats giving serious ones a hard time and some still don't get it. Most likely they have no position at all.
Volume dried up over past 25 min. VRNG=holding pattern
Agreed and to add to workaround theory which I mentioned before was directed at Microsoft. Why because they are competitors and do not want to be paying royalties to a competitor. So they where saying if you Microsoft get your hands on these patents we will do everything possible to make them worthless. It's not near as bad to pay a third party as it is to be shelling out profits to a direct competitor.
One step at a time guys/gals.
IMO Microsoft and VRNG are in a holding pattern on talks until they see the results of RR. They have most likely presented each other with "this is what we offer and this is what we want". Or if there is a buyout offer along the same lines as far as negotiations.
Just be prepared for denial/acceptance of google deposition. Then you can play the rest as it comes.
In the end I think we will see a nice pps appreciation. But you could still see a few bumps along the way. Just be sensible about your trade/investment.
Nice move starting here. It's just the beinning IMO. This move could be a head fake, but I doubt that it see much under $8 again without a big move to the downside in the overall market.

Looks like the 50 and 200-day MA is acting as support and resistance. 34.19-30.72 The price range is getting squeezed into a move in direction or the other. Look for a breakout of this range within the next few days to a week. A move to 36-38 or 28-30 on the other side would be the expectation here.
IMO I would take the side of the higher price just because of the strength this range has shown in the uptrend since March 18th.
This is all techinical analysis and does not take into consideration any material info introduced into the pps.

Sometimes overthinking can play games with your mind. There is a lot going to happen soon. We just need to be patient IMO whatever happens will happen just be ready to react in a sensible thought out matter.
What will you do if this occurs....why...does it makes sense looking at the big picture and your personal situation?
A lot of people make knee jerk decisions and get burned IMO the best policy is to decide for yourself your reaction to multiple scenerios. Then and only then will you feel comfortable with a trade. Even if it seems like a bad one after the fact cause you did what you thought was best.
To say they are bluffing would be speculative. They have a huge R&D IT tech division. No one can say for sure if they do or do not have a new system ready for testing that would sideline patent infringement.
Will it take time? Yes I've heard from some in the this field that it would take 1-2 years to prove itself worthy of implementing. If google is making billions off this Adwords and had to pay a whole 5% of 20.9% there would have to be at least that much improvement in profit to even consider a change IMO.
It would also have to be proven to be non-infringing. It has been said that they would have to start from scratch to completely get around patents.
IMHO workaround mention by google was directed at Microsoft. The lawyers know the law and the case as it stands. They also understand the threat of possibly Microsoft getting their hands on the patents.
They where basically saying "don't bother Microsoft we will do everything possible to get around these patents.
IMO, and this is why I never sold, that it has nothing to do with this case. Notice the judge never even responded to workaround proposition by google.

Not realy. I am glad to see that they are talking to the investors more often hope they keep that up. I am looking for some kind of payday, revenue stream announcement. This could be the beginning of the campaign to actually make money from the years and years of R&D. Like I said before it could be a lottery ticket but the time frame... Well who knows at this point.

That was discussed at trial also. That for them to get around patents it would pretty much take a completely new system from ground up.
Well I am satisified with their response. Even a little bit about misuse of courts time. Should be a positive in the morning.
The money I have invested or well donated to this is/was just that lotto money. Like buying a lottery ticket with little chance.
The difference in this and many penny stocks is that is linked to a well known college which gives it some credibility. Money is being funneled to them for R&D through the college.
It may never do anything but I would guess at the very least with patents already approved and numerous ones being evaluated that one or more will end up being paid for in the future. Best case scenario they end up being bought out. All conjecture at this point.
I really don't care about money I put here or I wouldn't have put it here. A lot of people made a lot of money off this stock when it hit 3.00 many years ago. But a lot of people lost a lot of money as it has retraced and reverse split. My little bitty 12k shares @ .06 would look great @ 3.00 lol.
Just be cautious and understand the nature of these kind of plays. GLTY'all
I gotta say I believe Boston police and citizens handled the whole situation admirably. I salute Boston!!!

Well it was right there on my T&S window. 10k+ and 5 min later another 11k sell went through with a market order. Both took the price down considerably because of the "market order". Day trader most likely exiting position for the day.
Somebody dumped 11k + shares going into close. Prob the buyer this am.
Some odd pretty big buys going on not sure if something up.
Loving this slow move. Now that we got the "I want to be a millionaire tomorrow college kids out" this should trade correctly.
Large, quick moves up always retrace. Slow and steady, accumulating along the way moves prove to provide support and strength.
There is a lot going right now. But when the price dropped to 2.67 and made an immediate run up I felt very comfortable with my position.

Trading on NASDAQ is expected to commence on April 30, 2013. Vringo`s common stock and warrants will continue to trade on the NYSE MKT until the market close on April 29, 2013.
"We believe that NASDAQ offers an exciting platform for our growing company," said Andrew Perlman, Chief Executive Officer of Vringo. "We feel that NASDAQ`s international presence aligns with our intention to create, acquire and monetize intellectual property on a global scale. In addition, we believe that listing on NASDAQ will increase our exposure to institutional shareholders."
Whine whine wow you are adults aren't you? Buck up not everything goes perfect. Holding till Hero Judge Judy rules lol
Honestly as long is this a publicly traded company without stock split he could never cover. He has deep deep pockets. But I would guess that his avg short position is 50-60$. No one can predict what this guy might do.
Still waiting for new auditor which will not happen before scheduled earnings date. Not sure how they will handle that either. Where financials for first quarter audited before KPMG quit? Don't know. Will they even be accepted without new auditor review? They say that the 2010,11,12 are fine but new auditor will most likely not sign on without a full review of them since KPMG pulled the confidence of them.
A lot of questions to be answered.
Earnings scheduled after close on 29th of April.
Well I agree that it will be appealed no matter what unless 0 but that is not gonna happen IMO. But I just see HJJ as the middle of the road judge here. But what do I know.
Would think that it will be 5%. In between both parties high evaluation of RR. Would be nice to see 7% but Google would really have to angry HJJ for him to risk 7% and a potential acceptable appeal JIMHO.
BTW thanks for helping us legal dummies out. I know I learned quite a abit just reading through this board over the last couple of weeks.
Still a dummy but I try... lol
Pretty much just saying I'm done with this case but I will listen to google one more time on RR.
