The only law i see being tricky is the Dram laws. Tobacco is 21 and over nationwide now, you cant consume weed in public even with a medical card, people are already walking around with open containers of alcohol so those laws are still being adhered to. You only need to focus on beer, since most public places like a stadium cant be smoked in anyway. The Dram laws can be enforced by limiting to 1-2 beverages every hour or so in the admin side of the program.
Since those are state laws, isnt it a bit overreaching then to say there will never be a market anywhere for a dispenser at a game field or concert, since each state will change depending on the situation presented?
True enough, this may not be the best situation for this machine, since the sheer number of people that would require registration, but it's always possible.
Can you show where thats stated? I can only find that you cant bring IN any sealed cans, not that you cant purchase one once youre in the stadium gates. Im also asking as i dont really like sports and hate being in crowds, i dont go to stadiums and dont know the rules.
My apologies, i spaced the ID part. I dont know about that for sure, but from i can find the machine itself doesnt have and ID slot. When you first register, you present the bartender/budtender your ID and they enter your info into the system, then they scan your vein print to attach it to that profile. After that, you can just walk in and scan your print to access the machine in the future.
I dont feel it was meant to replace an employee, just help cut down on BS. I have my medical card, and i can tell you people ask alot of questions to the budtenders. I usually use Leafly and order my meds ahead of time so i can just walk in and walk out. With an AGM, you can post the machines contents in a different section of the ordering platform and then whoever orders can just walk up to the AGM, pick up and walk out. There are people who just got their cards and have alot of questions about the medicine, the terpenes present, the strengths, what ailments it helps with, etc..
Not necessarily a problem since customers cant refill the kegs or open their own liquor bottles, you will always need some sort of management for anything. And plus, you have states like Arizona where the bar or home owner is liable for their guests. If someone gets too drunk and gets in a car accident or kills someone, whoever let that person drink and not cut them off is legally liable for any damages and lawsuits. The ID for beer dispensing is also supposed to free up bar tenders to make more expensive shaken cocktails, not take them away from their alcohol supervision.
That is a very good point. Considering when you register the vein pattern, you need to provide photo ID. Since theyre not saying this is a fully autonomous, someone will still need to keep an eye on the machine, just not manually dispense. If they keep and eye on their admin screen and notice the person at the tap doesnt match the picture on file, they know theres a problem. And since you have to register your ID, they know who you are and who to report to authorities. In the case of a fake ID having been used, they can grab whoever was attempting to buy the alcohol and invalidate that vein pattern. And if its invalidated, anybody else you sold that fake copy to is gonna be coming after you for their money back.
Im just stating facts from evidence you provided
You dont need to, the links you provided show 2 researchers already did.
Not 250, two thousand five hundred. And the researchers themselves said this isn't something an average person can pull off. You have to get full on shots of the vein pattern, which ambient lighting and hand position can interfere with.
Using a modified slr camera (google says over $500, for a basic) and over 30 days, taking 2500 photos of their own hands. Youd have to find someone you know is already in the biometric system, spend a month doing nothing but taking pics of their hands, then test it, without even guaranteeing it will work. Doesnt seem realistic to real world application, only a lab.
Thats the same article that was posted last time, and in it they say this isnt a method an average person can replicate. They had to take over 2500 photos of a single hand to make that replica, with a special infrared camera.
My bad, i missed that 9 month part on the financials for some reason
Im speculating it was reported in May financials. The press release was in December.
Nope. Im saying they announced the installation after purchase on whenever day they chose. They couldve delivered the machine a month later, but due to whatever reason (possibly customer, i wouldn't want that announced immediately) they waited to tell everyone. Considering we're not part of that contract or deal with no facts, doesn't help to speculate.
The financials back in May show $79k in machine sales. Since the news release doesnt say that on December 12th Earthly Mist bought a machine, just that they announced a purchase of one, not very confusing.
Gonna have to agree on this. The encryption of the data being stored and transmitted doesnt fall on the user, just like a credit card terminal is encrypted and programmed when a merchant gets it. HIPPA requires any identifying information to be secured, including biometrics. If these machines store user profiles that include the vein scan and their name, it needs to offer encryption from the get-go, no matter what industry gets it
https://compliancy-group.com/protected-health-information-understanding-phi/
The only reason it wouldn't need encryption is if it wasnt selling anything special.
Also just thought of the limits. Here in Arizona you can only buy 2.5 ounces every 2 weeks, and the state requires that it be kept track of at time of purchase. In order for the AGM to stay compliant, it would need to connect to Arizona Dept of Health Services and transmit the patient name/patient number and birthdate. Those definitely need to be encrypted, and that is definitely not something that falls on the user.
Are these HIPAA compliant?
I was wondering about the lag myself. At the 1:30 mark, he presses water, but because the products are moving at a quick speed, it looks like the system registers the beer selection instead. You can see a little circle indicator showing where he pressed, but because the product kept moving, that's what got selected.

Found the privacy policy on google, https://americangreen.com/privacy-policy/
But it is not linked through the app store
Gotcha, found it. Needed to update play store, some stuff was missing.
That was my misunderstanding. I read it as they have to include a link INSIDE the play store. I was in the google play store looking at the app description itself.
Looking at most of the tops apps in Google Play Store, none of them have links to privacy policies. Even when clicking install it never presents a privacy policy to review first. Although, yes, it would be nice to read the privacy policy on their site. Cant find it.
Gotcha, my mistake. Im trying to plan a small trip, nipton is only 5 hours away from me, so we could settle all this with a live feed or video conference for those who want confirmation, but there are a couple things i need to handle at home first.
From the middle of the picture, a little to the left, underneath that red and blue round decoration, isnt that part of American Greens logo? Would that be the screen from the AGM? It looks like that was the area i saw it in from one of the previous pics you posted.
Im sure non-disclosures were signed with some companies. Ill make a trip to Hempful Farms sometime over the next couple days to see if theres is still there. Ill buy something and post a video if it is. Its raining like crazy in the valley right, and nobody drives safely.
Looks like Hempful Farms has one, from what i can see on the Google images. And the gentleman at the shop i visited said thats the only other one he knows of. Its a bit of a drive to that one, about 37 miles. Will need to see if i can make it there and buy something.
Youre welcome. Ive expected them to work. Vape Era is just 10 miles from my house and i was just hoping to see it in action, so i shot down greenfield to the 60 to check it out. Im still an investor, just trying to provide facts
Vape Era machine got pulled. The owner said it worked fine and was great, but his landlord found he was selling CBD and made him pull it. Didnt want me taking a pic, understandable. Said the only other one he knows of is Hempful Farms.
Thats not it, I had a little bit too much holiday spirits and made myself sick and unable to drive safely. They open at 11am tomorrow, will make sure I go.
Im an investor and live in Mesa, AZ and will be going to Vape Era tomorrow to see if there's an American Green vending machine placed still. Will post a pic as proof one way or another, see if they drag these around.
Stock price has been going up again each day.
Stock price rose slightly today, good to see an upswing
Berkeley study has no practical use. The article itself says right now they use expensive cubic zirconium for about 3 ounces of water per pound of metal organic framework a day. Using cheaper aluminum will only get 6 ounces. No impact on the water generators usefulness
