Thanks Long! Terrific piece of information for all us LONGS!
You've earned it it's your turn! Not sure what retirement means but do know after being a public servant for 31 years it was time to have the opportunity to help who and when I wanted. Eight years now and no back tracking! Onward and upward . When cable company comes to fix their problem and ask for us to share in the costs I just refuse to sign whatever they ask us to sign.
And least not we forget the most important point of all....
This includes proxy services, lawyers, and litigators requests. Love this part the most!
Exactly! This was my point also.
I know some were asking about this earlier....
I would like to confirm with you that both accounts are on the NOBO (Non-Objecting Beneficial Owner) list. Being on the NOBO list allows 3rd parties, with a direct financial interest, the ability to request from Schwab your contact information. The 3rd parties can then reach out to relay securities information directly to you. This includes proxy services, lawyers, and litigators requests.
If any questions arise please let me know. Have a great day and thank you for choosing Charles Schwab.
Sincerely,

CommScope files antenna patent suits against SOLiD
May 20, 2020 2:37 PM ET|About: CommScope Holding Company,... (COMM)|By: Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
CommScope (COMM +2.7%) has filed patent infringement lawsuits against SOLiD, a South Korea-based maker of distributed antenna systems.
The two suits - one filed in the Northern District of Texas, the other in the UK - assert multiple patents against SOLiD's Genesis DAS.
CommScope recently found success litigating the same patents against Dali Wireless.
Awesome! Thanks PP
Long we will donate and support if you feel it's worth having at this point?
Is this something Dilly can retrieve?
Were coming down the home stretch........
Cable Companies royalties looks good for the future and look forward to Comcast number leaking out..
https://www.vox.com/culture/2019/3/15/18225269/streaming-future-cable-netflix-hulu-disney
Cable companies figured out early in the cable revolution that the natural solution to a world with a whole bunch of channels at varying price points is to bundle those channels together into a slightly more affordable bundle. Some company will probably “rediscover” this idea as we head deeper into the streaming age. And it almost doesn’t matter if what’s being bundled together is effectively a bunch of bundles, as long as it’s more cost-effective.
So next, consider this: A shocking amount of the US broadband infrastructure is still controlled by cable companies, which might be losing TV subscribers but continue to have a fairly ironclad lock on providing internet. In many parts of my city, Los Angeles, the only option when it comes to buying an internet package is to go with a local cable company like AT&T.
At least two major cable companies — AT&T and Comcast — are about to have affiliated streaming platforms (WarnerMedia and NBCUniversal, which is an investor in Vox Media, respectively). So they might not be thrilled to play ball with Netflix or Disney or [insert other entertainment company here] when creating cable bundles 2.0, given that doing so might directly enrich their competitors.
But at the same time, my guess is that most of these companies know they’re not going to wipe massive companies like Netflix or Disney from the face of the earth — to say nothing of a company like Apple, which is still waiting in the wings with its own proposed streaming service, or YouTube, which has struggled to launch its own subscription service but owns the viewership habits of the generation just entering its teens and 20s.
Which means that eventually, we’ll probably go right back to the cable bundle as the only real option for getting access to film and TV content at home. Those who really want to will still be able to assemble their own packages à la carte (presuming that the death of net neutrality doesn’t result in cable companies privileging their own streaming services to the exclusion of others, which is an entirely different ball of wax).
But most of us will pay the $200 a month for internet and streaming TV. It’ll just be easier, if horribly expensive.
Will all of this happen like I say it will? Some of my predictions might miss the mark; maybe Netflix will rise above everybody else and cement its status as a sort of Spotify of TV, with all major competitors having to navigate around its ubiquity. Maybe Disney’s deep bench of content pushes it into first place. Maybe Amazon does ... something ... and then it comes in first place? Hey, that could happen!
But I wrote a version of this article in 2016, and a surprising amount of what I predicted then has happened in the years since. And when I talk to folks in the TV industry, very few of them suggest the future I’ve laid out above is unlikely. Even people who work for the streaming networks understand that having a bunch of streaming networks, all with their own unique and in-demand programming, all asking you to pay between $10 and $20 per month, could end up being catastrophic to consumers. But there’s too much money on the line for those who might find a way to get us to that point, so today’s many, many players keep charting a collision course of their own making.
RELATED
Netflix or Hulu won’t win the streaming wars. Your cable company will.
The era of media consolidation has made it harder and harder to ignore that we are heading, inexorably, toward a period when major entertainment corporations will control the distribution and production models for their programming and will, effectively, be able to charge whatever they want for it. And in that world, the cord-cutting era will start to feel a little like a blip, when a growing movement to change an unfair game invented an entirely new one.
Correction: The original version of this article stated that UVerse and Time Warner Cable are part of the same massive corporation. They are part of different massive corporations! The article has been changed to reflect this.
Absolutely! Here's the link someone was asking for https://seekingalpha.com/news/3574168-commscope-wins-injunction-damages-in-dali-patent-fight
CommScope wins injunction, more damages in Dali patent fight
May 13, 2020 4:40 PM ET|About: CommScope Holding Company,... (COMM)|By: Jason Aycock, SA News Editor
CommScope (NASDAQ:COMM) has won an injunction and enhanced damages in its patent fight with Dali Wireless, it says.
That follows a previous jury ruling that determined Dali willfully infringed five patents covering digital distributed antenna systems.
That now warrants an injunction against the infringing products for the life of the patents, the court determined. The last-to-expire of the asserted patents extends to 2026.
It also trebled damages to $6M from $2M.
The remedies are stayed pending an appeal.
Very clear here. A beautiful thing!

Staying positive! Positive attitude will get you through everything in life. That can't be taken away from us! I miss many of the same things that you do.
Hang tough we are just a shout away! UOIP!!!
Maybe same reason some try to short this stock? Quick buck up and down.
Thank you for your kind words. My brothers and I were very close when we were younger but had grown apart somewhat the past 7 years. He is in a better place now and for me me it was "till we meet again". However, mom said" it should have been her". She's almost 94 and I can't begin to understand how she must feel. We have a son and daughter and I don't even want to go there. Congratulations on your engagement! You seem to be the kind of person who will take parenting seriously if you decide on a family. We need more people like you in our world. All the best! Go UOIP!
Glad to hear your wife made it!! My brother wasn't very proactive when it came to doctors or blood tests. Complained about his back past few years and when he finally went to a doctor his PSA was very high. So no one ever really knew for sure how long it had been going on and he had a high threshold for pain. He was too young but glad he doesn't suffer anymore and the end came quickly. You never know how it feels to lose someone until their gone. Thank you to BA/ Frank/ ZW/ Long and anyone else. Someone, I think Rook talked about being just a young pup in age compared to some of you other fossils. But the larger question is how old would you be if you didn't know your age? Glad to be a part of this life and this group of people. Look forward to a day when I can put faces to names and thank people personally for their help and guidance. My brother developed and sold a patent and made terrific returns. When I heard AJ talk about this lottery ticket a few years back and read the story of Rob Howe and the inventors and the wrongfulness they suffered I decide to bet big on UOIP and no regrets either way. My decision and mine alone. Would feel bad for others that followed my lead but they knew the risks and I always said take a nibble as I was told. I have also taken a bite out of our other side bet and still feel really good about them both. Also feel confident that we as a country will get through this period in time and that justice will prevail! Prayers and thoughts to all our families.
Thank you very much! Brother died of brain cancer a couple months ago and it really drove home the point that tomorrow isn't guaranteed for any of us, and to enjoy family and friends each and every day! All the best! And Happy Easter to you and family!
Hang tough my friend! If other countries can do it so can we and even better!
"I am now, probably for the first time in my life, most like the person I have always wanted to be.
Sure, I remember despair over the wrinkles , the baggy eyes, and the sagging chin. In fact, I am often
taken aback by noticing that old person in my mirror, but I don't agonize over it
I have a wonderful life and I would never trade my amazing friends or loving family for less grey hair or a flatter belly. I've become kinder to myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie or not making my bed ( I do make the bed) or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avant-garde on my patio. I am entitled to overeat, to be messy, to be extravagant. I. can say "no" and mean it..I can also say "yes" and mean it.
Great freedom comes with aging. Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 a.m. or sleep till noon? I will walk the beach in a swimsuit that is stretched over a bulging body, and dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the bikini set. They, too, will get old.
As I get older, it is easier to be positive. I care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've earned the right to be wrong. I like being old because it has set me free.
I genuinely like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been or worrying about what will be. Today, I wish you a day of ordinary miracles and the unexpected freedom of aging with joy." And on that note I will continue to celebrate my 65th birthday!! All the best! If any of you guys up there in Canada are running low on whiskey and cigars let us know and we will send you some! Be safe and well! Oh, and UOIP!
Few years back we went on a sunset cruise and wine tasting adventure while staying @ Lake Tahoe. Some kind of Yacht or pleasure ship. Downstairs in the main seating area was a hollowed out table with a glass top. Just below the glass top was a half smoked cigar with a piece of paper that Arnold had left it behind. The note said "I'll be back!" Your photo reminded me of this.
