Me too, not in it for the short term. I was patient with FB and bought it low and waited for it to get back to the IPO price and can wait here. Lots of potential like you said. Sink or swim I am in
My tax loss potential just got greater is what happened....Best to probably look away for a year and see what happened.
That's a good point and never put the two together. With the float being so low I can't wait to see it take off and I hope to be counting the crumbs.
Is is time for the shorts to cover?
Another good one IMO is that Institutional Holding is now 30.7%, up 2% from before I believe. Let's see Thursday.....

CERES NEWS | Forward to a reduction in the supply of sugarcane, Ceres launches new varieties of sorghum
Company believes that agronomic advances and performance of cultivars, with more and more biomass ethanol, encourage adherence to the culture of plants in the offseason of cane sugar
Campinas (SP) - For Ceres Seeds Brazil reducing the supply of cane sugar in the 2015/16 harvest will occur due to the effects of drought in south-central on productivity of sugarcane in the next cycle. This scenario evaluates the company opens a new opportunity to advance the adoption of sorghum cultivars. The company distributes in the country Blade® product line sweet sorghum and high biomass sorghum for the sector.
Sorghum is used for ethanol production and power generation from bagasse, while the high biomass sorghum intended to combustion, generation of heat and electricity.
"Cultivars Blade® Sacarino may allow plants to anticipate early March his next crop of ethanol. Sorghum is able to supply companies with raw materials to the resumption of the cane sugar cycle and generate bagasse for generating and exporting electricity to the grid. The use of sorghum is a means for companies to partly compensate the loss of productivity of sugarcane ethanol production more and more biomass, "explains André Franco, general manager of Ceres.
Ceres is launching three new cultivars of its brand Blade®, two high-biomass sorghum and sweet sorghum. All are the result of breeding programs conducted in Brazil and envision heels in agronomic performance of the crop.
From now varieties of sorghum, high biomass Blade® BD7605 and BD7607 Blade® enter the company's portfolio. Both add to the hybrid Blade® CB7520, which has shown excellent results in the culture, which began in November 2013 and closed last May 13/14 season.
Based on the indicators compiled by Ceres in 13/14 season, the line of high biomass sorghum hybrids Blade®, showed an average yield of 26-34 tons / ha at 50% moisture, depending on the regional, reaching up to 47 tons per hectare with 50% humidity.
Internal analyzes show that the total production cost of hybrid Blade® High Biomass lie between £ 65 and £ 85 per ton at 50% moisture in the plant delivered (CIF), considering distance of 20km.
The high biomass sorghum, Franco adds, can be used both to generate electricity and heat generation, or even in making cellulosic ethanol. Has been availed with good results also in different productive sectors which use of biomass as an energy source, including food and citrus industries, slaughterhouses and grain processors.
The third release of Ceres with a view to sorghum 14/15 season, which begins next November, is a hybrid of sorghum Blade® BD5404.
This is a new option for companies that were growing the variety BRS 511, licensed by Embrapa exclusively for Ceres, in order to expand production of ethanol from sugarcane in the offseason. Versatile products can also be used as a source of biomass, bagasse once your account compatible with the needs of power plants and industries energy capacity.
In line Blade® Sacarino Sorghum, ethanol production reached planted per hectare to 3900 liters / ha, and mean delivery of 2.9 to 3300 liters / ha, depending on the regional.
André Franco strengthens the productive cycle of high biomass sorghum and sweet sorghum occurs between November and May and emphasizes: "the same equipment used in the harvesting, milling and processing of cane sugar to serve sweet sorghum, without the need for adjustments and were tested industrially. For high biomass sorghum harvest is done with forage, increasing productivity and bringing benefits as the calorific value of sorghum, 1,800 kcal / kg and lower levels of mineral impurities "concludes.

Thanks for the Artal info, had not seen that they were pushing and it would make sense, They have a lot more marbles on the table than I.
I have plenty of time and figured CERE will take a bit to reach its potential. Missed out on Apple when we bought the 1st apple II so live and learn. The field they are in is only going to grow and they have the IP and tech it would seem.
GLTA as well.
Looks like Artal is siting tight with their shares form the last report..good sign imo

Ceres Seeds presents viability of High Biomass Sorghum and Sorghum Sacarino the 7th National Congress of Bioenergy
Organized by UDOP and Stab event takes place on 12 and 13 November in Araçatuba
Company announce the launch of three hybrids Blade® brand for sugarcane industry and focus on the strategic use of sorghum as feedstock supplement in south-central
São Paulo (SP) - November 10, 2014 - The development manager of Ceres, agronomist MSc José Geraldo Sousa, participates in 12th and November 13th of the 7th National Congress of Bioenergy, organized by UDOP - Union of Bioenergy Producers - and the Stab - Society of Technical sugar and ethanol in Brazil. The executive will speak in agricultural hall on the 13th, with the theme "sweet sorghum and high biomass: progress and prospects for the next crop against the backdrop of the sugarcane industry."
Sousa will address the anticipation of the end milling of cane sugar by most mills in the 2014/15 season and the prospects that this scenario opens to the use of sweet sorghum and high biomass sorghum as raw materials complementary to the process production of ethanol, ethanol 2G and biomass energy power plants.
The executive adds that hybrids of Ceres, marketed under the brand Blade® were used by more than 50 companies in the last harvest. Besides the prospect of offsetting part of the raw material losses expected for the next crop of sugarcane, says Sousa, the cultivation of sweet sorghum does not require significant investments of these companies, as the plant is processed in the industry with the same equipment for grinding cane. Already sorghum, high biomass provides benefits in power generation, with productivity differentials at harvest and higher calorific value than the bagasse, and lower rates of mineral impurities.
José Geraldo also announce at the event to launch three new varieties of its brand Blade®, two high-biomass sorghum and sweet sorghum. The 2014/15 sorghum crop will start in November and finish by May 2015, a period that includes part of the offseason and cane in which companies will certainly have less raw material for processing.
Founded in the US in 1996, Ceres Seeds arrived in Brazil for about four years. The company has exclusivity in one of the largest banks in the world sorghum germplasm and brought the whole process of improvement for Brazil to achieve gains in culture, adjusting the product according to the growing conditions in different regions of the country.

Kinda what I thought too. Monday is a key day since it will be the deadline and we are not going to meet the requirement for being over a buck for 10 days. :(
Thanks for your question and interest in our sales and marketing activities in Brazil. As you know, we provide a link to our Brazilian website and local-level press releases from our corporate web pages. News releases from our Brazilian subsidiary are generally local in nature and part of the normal course of promoting our seed products. These efforts target the grower/bioenergy industry in Brazil and, as you may expect, contain technical, or regional, information about the company?s products that may not be relevant to other geographic areas, for instance. Material news from Brazil is published in both English and, in most cases, in Portuguese as well. A good example of this would be the PAISS grant award announcement.
For more information on our sales and marketing efforts in Brazil, including information about our strategy, product performance and advances, please see our most recent Form 10-Q filed on July 10, 2014 and our previous annual report.
No doubt, happy to see it moving nicely this week for once. It is a powder keg and IMO will move fast if news coming is good. Lots of shares are locked to the institutions and not a whole lot of float to trade
Finally had to ask IR this one...
Hi, Thank you for the response to my last question and have another one that has been puzzling me. I see that the Brasil operation releases news and other events regularly via the website and their FB page, why wouldn't these be released by the US operation. Does not make sense, at least in my mind. They are all related and honestly I would think they should be. I post what I can dig up for others to see, but was wondering what the reason is. Hopefully you can answer this simple one for me. There is a lot going on down there and to me exciting. Thanks,
One can dream! I would take half of that, but in the long term they may get to it. The demand for what they do and the IP is not going away.
Thinking it getting closer and more good than bad going to come out in the annual report.

CERES NEWS | Sorghum Hybrids are an alternative to the anticipated end of the milling cane sugar
Translated from the FB page, no idea why the US cannot ever put these out in English.
Sweet sorghum and high biomass sorghum may offset the offseason loss of sugarcane feedstock caused by drought
Ceres launches two new varieties of sorghum and high biomass of sweet sorghum harvest for the 14/15 crop which starts in November
Campinas (SP) - Ceres Seeds of Brazil, an expert in the culture of sorghum, sees in anticipation of the end milling of cane sugar mills, scheduled for October, an opportunity to expand the cultivated areas with its line of hybrids high biomass sorghum and sweet sorghum. The 2014/15 sorghum crop will start in November and end in March 2015 off-season sugarcane and which companies will certainly have less raw material to process. The additional advantage is that the products are planted in the areas of reform of the sugar plantations, not competing with the cane.
According to UNICA - Union of the Cane Sugar Industry - posted on April 9, the grinding of cane sugar from the center-south of Brazil reached 28.82 million tons in the second half of September, the less processed during the main producing region of the country in the last four seasons, with volume operations being affected by the weather. Accumulated in the 14/15 season, the numbers began to show grinding down 0.24 percent from last season, reaching 441.5 million tons, equivalent to 81 percent of the association projects that will be processed in current season (545.9 million).
The product line of sweet sorghum and high biomass sorghum Blade® Ceres complements ethanol production and biomass energy and the sugarcane industry, with the last harvest more than 40 units tested the products, according to the general manager André Franco.
The sorghum is already showing economic viability for plants and Ceres keep their investments in genetic improvement aimed at increasing ethanol per hectare. Their bagasse is similar to sugarcane bagasse and can be used as a source of biomass for power and heat. The same equipment used in the harvesting, milling and processing of cane sugar to serve sweet sorghum, without the need for adjustments in the field and industry.
The high biomass sorghum came with the offer of raw material to generate heat and electricity, by the plants of the sugarcane industry, as well as biomass consuming industries. It can also be used to produce cellulosic ethanol (2G). Harvesting is done with forage, increasing productivity and bringing benefits as the calorific value of sorghum, with 1,829 kcal / kg, 50% humidity and low levels of mineral impurities.
"In this scenario the sorghum cultivars Blade® may allow plants to anticipate the start of their season next March. Sorghum is able to supply companies with raw materials to the resumption of the cane sugar cycle and generate bagasse for generating and exporting electricity to the grid. The use of sorghum will be a means for firms to partly compensate the loss of productivity of sugarcane ethanol production more and more biomass "adds Franco.
The executive announces the launch of three new sorghum hybrids under the brand Blade®, two high-biomass sorghum and sweet sorghum. Ceres completed the survey conducted in the 13/14 harvest crops cultivated with hybrids of sorghum and high biomass sorghum Blade®.
Biomass results Blade®
The figures released by the company show that the hybrid sorghum high biomass Blade® present results and performance that reinforce their attractiveness with the consumer market bagasse and other biomass.
The calorific value of hybrids, the company said, exceeded that of cane sugar in comparative tests. The mean yield was 26-34 tons / ha with 50% moisture, depending on the region, reaching up to 47 tons per hectare with 50% humidity.
The study also shows that the total production cost of hybrid Blade® High Biomass lie between £ 65 and £ 85 per tonne at 50% moisture in the plant delivered (CIF), considering distance of 20km. The useful calorific value (PUI) measured at 50% humidity, reached the significant level of 1829 Kcal / Kg.
"The competitive advantage of high-biomass sorghum is confirmed each season," adds André Franco. "The product line of high biomass sorghum Blade® is a reality and presents genetic gain each year, and in the current energy scenario, biomass sorghum Blade® brings an additional opportunity for companies operating biomass boilers and can providing electricity to the grid by ANEEL. Its use can be done in all types of boilers, respecting the technical characteristics of the product and small basic settings and can also be mixed with other types of biomass, "exemplifies the executive.
Results Sacarino Blade®
Regarding the Blade® sweet sorghum hybrids evaluated by Ceres, the company emphasizes that all record leaps in productivity, in liters per hectare, as has been occurring in previous years.
Ethanol production per hectare planted reached until 3900 liters / ha, and mean delivery of 2.9 to 3300 liters / ha, depending on the regional.
André Franco says that the minimum production of sorghum should be estimated at a minimum of 5 days of grinding and be processed in a maximum of 24 hours after harvest.
"We have increased the average yield around 30% each season. The learning curve is reduced year after year and the potential for growth and crop improvement in the coming years is real and measurable, a great opportunity for businesses who want to get ahead of the development and also balance the production of ethanol through the crisis in the sector, "adds Franco.
A projection of Datagro indicates that sweet sorghum can add to the numbers of Brazilian sugarcane industry, annually, a volume within 3500 and 5000 liters of biofuel per hectare, equivalent to an increase of 5 billion gallons of ethanol in the market .
Ceres Seeds of Brazil offers one selected Security Program, which has counterparts ensuring average productivity in the plantation companies. The program is valid for the period 2014/15.
The company said that its technical team will provide agronomic and technological support in the management of portfolio of hybrids Blade® to selected customers in all regions where the products are recommended.
"The Ceres specializes in sorghum and is committed to the development of culture in Brazil. This assumes that say the company is sure in its recommendation, as well as the potential of products, both saccharine as biomass "concludes André Franco.

It would be nice to see some upward movement for sure..
While we hang in waiting, here is a look inside the HQ in Brasil from the office designer. Interesting and at least the offices look nice and it is not a garage.

Interior design for the office of the Brazilian headquarters Ceres Seeds of Brazil, the condo Capital Square in Campinas. From designing the layout to the use of materials, we attempted to follow the proposed new "work" requested by the director, with greater integration between the teams and dynamic interactions. The design of joinery joined the aesthetic to the functional, such as the panels that camouflage the infrastructure and ensure more comfort to the workplace. The tones and textures used, aligned to the elegant design, reinforce the company's identity.

Is the train finally leaving the station?
I like it too, revenue is going to start IMO and looking forward to the annual report next month. I still don't understand why the HQ does not report more in English what is going on in Brasil, almost like they want to keep it on the down low.

Result of the new hybrid Genetic Improvement Program of the company and are high productivity
Data from the 2013/14 season show improvement in productivity with an increase in ethanol production per hectare for Sweet Sorghum and more biomass with high calorific value for High Biomass Sorghum, additional raw materials to the sugarcane industry
Ceres Seeds of Brazil recently announced the launch of three new sorghum hybrids of Blade® brand, two high-biomass sorghum and sweet sorghum, in addition to other products of the company line. All result from the Genetic Improvement Program of the company and are commercially released for the 2014/15 crop season, which begins in November and ends next in May next year. According to the company, the new hybrids are highly productive.
The high biomass sorghum is a raw material of high quality and can be used by the plants of the sugarcane industry in both the cogeneration of electricity, heat generation or even the manufacturing of cellulosic ethanol (2G). The product takes advantage by being planted in the areas of reform of fields and reaches 50% moisture still in the field and can immediately harvested and consumed in the boilers.
Sorghum hybrids high biomass have been utilized with good results also in other productive sectors which use biomass as an energy source, including citrus and food industries, slaughterhouses and processors of grains, among other consumer biomass.
Enter the portfolio of Ceres Seeds from now hybrids of high biomass Blade® BD7605 and BD7607 Blade®. Both add up to Blade® CB 7520, first cultivated in Brazil in the 13/14 crop season, with excellent results.
BD7605 and BD7607 Blade® Blade® form hybrids with wide agronomic adaptability, excellent productivity and uniformity in the field, reports the development manager of Ceres, an agronomist MSc José Geraldo Sousa.
"The yield of these hybrids in the field translate great results in boilers with high calorific value in the range of 1,820 kcal / kg with PCI (Lower Calorific Value) 50% humidity, and low levels of mineral impurities," the executive added.
Another common attractive to these new varieties, says Sousa, is its tolerance to drought, a feature due to the vigor of the plant obtained already in its initial development.
Based on the indicators established by Ceres on 13/14, José Geraldo said that the crop line of high biomass sorghum hybrids Blade® presents average yield was 26-34 tons / ha with 50% moisture, depending on the regional, coming up to 47 tons per hectare with 50% humidity.
The study also shows that the total production cost of hybrid Blade® High Biomass lie between £ 65 and £ 85 per tonne at 50% moisture in the plant delivered (CIF), considering distance of 20km.
"Hybrid high biomass Blade® already have great attractiveness to the market and bring to the producer of biomass for sure an important period for the market, where there is often a lack of biomass for power generation and heat" concludes.
Sweet sorghum - The third release of Ceres Seeds aimed at sorghum harvest is 14/15 hybrid Blade® BD5404 sweet sorghum. This is a new option for companies that were growing hybrids like BRS511, licensed by Embrapa exclusively for Ceres - in order to increase the production of ethanol in the off season of cane sugar or early harvest.
Sousa points out that the new Blade® BD5404 is a hybrid with excellent agronomic and highly resistant damping performance, thus facilitating their harvest.
In addition to transferring favorable results in the production of ethanol from plants, says the executive, bagasse hybrid can also be used as biomass for cogeneration and heat generation, with great similarity to the bagasse from sugar cane.
Regarding the Blade® sweet sorghum hybrids evaluated by the Ceres, closed last April 13/14 season, Sousa emphasizes that all registered leaps in productivity, as has been occurring in previous years.
Ethanol production per hectare planted reached until 3900 liters / ha, and mean delivery of 2.9 to 3300 liters / ha, depending on the regional.
In the evaluation of the company, the minimum productivity required for economically viable commercial planting of sweet sorghum in plants is 2500 liters of ethanol per hectare, with a projection of at least 5 days of grinding, processed in a maximum of 24 hours after harvest, ensuring the quality of the raw material.
A projection of Datagro consultancy, recently released by CMA News Agency, indicates that the culture of sweet sorghum can add 5 billion gallons of ethanol to the Brazilian production, which is around 25 billion liters annually.
