The new version of TVTonic is based on Silverlight technology, IMO. Many developer will use Silverlight to bring their content to the customer. Remember the time when many Webdesigner used Flash instead of HTML to develop websites. A simple example: If you're developing applikations in the .NET environment, you can simply bring parts of your app to the web with Silverlight, what my company is already doing. And BTW why do you think is the coverage by TVTonic only available for VIsta Ultimate/Home Premium users?

Mig, Wildman....Silverlight is the TECHNOLOGY which competes with FLASH. TVTonic is based on this technology, nothing more nothing less.YouTube uses Flash to deliver video content for example....
We all should take care, TVTonic is a service set up on Silverlight technology, many others will follow! At least we have the Olympics and as Barge says, TVTonic is the PERFECT digital videorecorder.

Microsoft's Silverlight draws patent suit

July 7, 2008 (IDG News Service) Video software developer Gotuit Media Inc. has sued Microsoft Corp., claiming that its Silverlight multimedia software infringes several of the company's patents.
Gotuit Media filed the suit last week in federal court in San Francisco, claiming that Silverlight infringes on three Gotuit patents that cover ways of making videos searchable on the Internet.
Released last year, Silverlight is Microsoft's alternative to the Flash and QuickTime multimedia formats. Heavily promoted by Microsoft, it lets Windows users watch video or animated graphics through their browsers.
Gotuit sells software that lets users add text data to video clips, making it possible to search and sort through videos for the parts they want. The software has been used on several high-profile Web sites, including those of Sports Illustrated and the National Hockey League.
In court filings, Gotuit says that Silverlight infringes on its patents because it too gives users a way to enhance video with "metadata tags in order to enable video search and navigation and provide a personalized viewing experience."
"Microsoft has infringed and is still infringing the patents," Gotuit says in its complaint.
The company cites Microsoft's upcoming on-demand video coverage of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on NBCOlympics.com as infringing behavior, because the Web site uses Silverlight to tag video and make it searchable.
The suit seeks an injunction preventing Microsoft from using the technology and asks the court to award damages and legal fees.
Founded in 2000, Gotuit counts Motorola Inc. and venture capital firms Highland Capital Partners LLC and Atlas Venture among its investors.
The Woburn, Mass., company's outside counsel, Spencer Hosie, declined to comment on the lawsuit.
Reached Thursday, a Microsoft representative was unable to comment on the suit.

To make things clear.....
Yes I was upset about Q1 revenues and about what SKS said to Snacks about being AHEAD of Q4.
But I also see.....
1. List of customers is expanding
2. FDEs are now certified, which will bring the gov to Wave
3. TPMs ARE mainstream and will find their way to many different devices which all must be connected to the web.
4. Wave is able to raise fund if needed
So I try to remain positive, hoping for a positive outcome and I remain invested.

RE:
CTS...great math, should be on track. (sarcasm)
"That implies a $4.8 million shortfall for Q2, which seems closer to reality"
So we can assume about 2M for Q2. Well, like SKS said, 1.7 for Q1 while upgrades for 45 Q2 days exceeded Q1. SO lets say 1.9M - LOL
If thats the case we're dead....... (sarcasm)

(edit)Barge...I'd say, it's just a good guess (LOL) but normally the TPM resides near the CPU. And this one looks like a TPM.

DW...it depends on the TSS and be sure, NTRU isn´t interested in opening their interface to a competitor like IFX.
IFX Software works on IFX TSS (IFX and BRCM chips) and on the ITPM (they PRed so). So since the ITPM also is supported by NTRU, it looks like it can be run with both TSS, similar to the BRCM TPM 1.2.

Zen........obviously the new version of ETS WILL be installed on the new Latitude models, which will be introduced in June. Please consider (and remember when the first D620 with ETS came out), that Dell sells a ton of their old D series at least until November at a great discount. So E-series volume will not fully kick in for us. So my guess for NOW is:
-Starting in July with about 50% of volume of Latitudes sold.
I don´t know if all other machines like Precision and Optiplexes will get the new version at the same time.....

Genz....SKS told us of about 10K FDE drives and about 100K bucks of (2k) upgrade seats. He also mentioned that he has the same in Q2 already (ATTENTION, NOT April only, listen to the CC), so I guess we'll see a doubling at least.
BR
ISPRO
Doma.......to be fair, I'm with you on SKS and the truth. I was shocked when I saw the revenues for Q1 and remembered he told Snack that they are ahead of Q4 in March. But ETS is a fine product with many usefull features. And I'm sure you know many people who recommend to deinstall other products (like McAfee or Symantec) cause they have issues with the software. Nobody is perfect, especially folks posting and blogging in the net.
I´ve ETS running on my D420 and my D630 and I´ve installed ERAS on a 2003 domain controller in combination with a MS2008 server with MSSQL 2005 database. I've installed all without help, only with the ERAS manual and it worked fine.
From now on we should only follow PRs about new customers and deployment and for me, I'll believe nothing anymore until I see it written in STONE!
BR
ISPRO
.....shocking!
Fullmoon....right, what irritates me, is that Dell has year end per Feb and normally they push their sales at the eoy. Furthermore obviously NO FDEs or upgrades were sold. And if we hope for "more business in April than in Q1", then 1000 seats would do it for April.
But you´re right the financial Situation is strange too!
