Marijuana Portfolio Down. I have seven companies in my marijuana stock portfolio and with the exception of Tweed (TWMJF/TWD) the other six are all down today. Yep difficult and discouraging day! Sure wish that Tweed would make a knock your socks off PR today! Out of the seven marijuana stocks I am very positive on two of them, Tweed being one, and the other five I bought to have a diversified marijuana portfolio believing that I will have some losers in this new industry but the winners will make up for the losers resulting in an overall profit. Oh well, hold long and see what happens and hopefully not too far in the future for some substantial upside pps in my marijuana portfolio. Sincerely, Senior Chief
UP Trend: Based upon our exchange of dialogue yesterday I did go long on this stock today at $2.00 per share. Thanks for your opinions yesterday. Sincerely, Senior Chief
globaldata77: You post is very articulate and appreciated. Your kind of articulate and thought-provoking post is what is need on all of these boards! Another poster today stated that CEO's wife or ex-wife ( can't remember exact post ) sold about $2 million in stock recently and insinuated in the post a conspiracy between CEO and his wife/ex-wife. I contend ( my opinion and only in my opinion ) that if there was/is any conspiracy to sell the shares, totally false information given to stockholders, misleading information given to stockholders, etc. that like you say 5 months to 1 year from now there will be some civil and/or criminal charges filed. I am a stockholder but don't intend to sell but not because I'm positive on the future of the company and I could use the tax write off so I'll take the half of 1 percent chance the company may survive while realizing the 99.5 percent chance that this company is History with some possible future prison time for some people. I believe that there are some young investors in this company that are really hurting financially right now with their dreams disappearing right before their eyes and this hurts me deeply! I really hate to think of a young couple just getting started out in life experiencing such a disaster! Yep I am very sentimental in my elderly years ( I'm 70 years old ). Sincerely, Senior Chief
wzpurdy: You know a lot more about the sector and the MJ stocks than I do since I new to investing in this sector. Thanks for your replies.
wzpurdy: Thank for the reply. This is how I came up with that....
Aerovapor is trademarked by GrowOpp LLC. who produces MediGrow for PHOT
UP Trend: I am a stockholder in in several MJ stocks ( sorry can't post symbols - against the rules but they are listed in "My Stocks" in my profile ). I have been doing my DD for 2 days because I'm seriously considering making a significant purchase of SXLP (GBLX tomorrow) stock on the open tomorrow morning. I firmly believe in a diversified MJ portfolio, I believe that there will be some big time losers in the MJ sector (e.g. I own the MJ stock that was recently suspended ) so with a diversified MJ portfolio that I already have, but desire to add to, I believe my winners will greatly exceed the losers resulting in a nice profit. My question for you if you would be so kind to answer, is I noticed that SXLP started the big fall in pps the same time that PHOT was suspended so coupling this with the statement from SXLP that they provide their product to PHOT my question is; how much of SXLP product did they provide to PHOT? If SXLP provides/provided a significant amount of product and PHOT being all but an in the past company I question if my investment in SXLP tomorrow would be a bad move! I ask for your opinion ( I fully realize it would be just an opinion ) because my DD is at a dead end and I appreciate your posts that I have read. I will understand if you would rather not answer and if so, please be so kind to advise me of such so I will not be looking and looking for your reply. I also respectfully request any other SXLP investors to respond if you are inclined to do so. Thank you in advance for you time and consideration. Sincerely, Senior Chief.
My fellow PHOT Investors: This post may be beneficial to some and worthless to others. I have been in the market since November 1966 and I have never been completely out of the market. I am a stockholder in PHOT. I am really sorry to see what happened to PHOT for my fellow investors! I will be holding my shares of PHOT not saying that it will ever come back but worst case I will use it as a tax write off. Until 2004 I was historically a blue chip investor but in 2004 I invested in a stock at $0.25 per share with over 100,000 shares at my high point. I sold all but 2,100 shares in 2007-2008 between $3.00 and $4.00 per share to buy our retirement home and today I own 27,000 shares in the company ( I can't post the symbol because that is against the rules but it is listed in the My Stocks section of my profile and it is currently selling for $0.15 per share if you are interested. I post this for any discouraged PHOT investors to truthfully indicate that money can be made in the "Risky" penny stock market. I do own several inexpensive marijuana stocks ( can't post the symbols - the rules ) and I believe that the winners will more than make up for the losers that I will experience. I also own some income stocks paying 6.00% A.P.R. dividends trading in the $15.00 pps range but there is no board for them here. I have a financially secure retirement which is why I feel so bad for my fellow PHOT investors that these recent events are going to hurt some investors deeply! I do believe that the marijuana sector is something that we have never seen before regarding investments and with the change in the political environment in the U.S.A. and in Canada accepting the use of marijuana so I truly believe that money can be made investing in this sector with a well diversified marijuana portfolio. For those investors that have been financially hurt by the PHOT events and can't afford the loss please know that when I lay my head on the pillow tonight that you will be in my prayers! I wish you all my very best and for a profitable year 2014. Sincerely, Senior Chief
WLGC Analysis. I have held this stock continuously since 2004 ( yep a loyal stockholder ) although I did sell over 100,000 shares in 2007-2008 to buy our retirement home. If any potential investor would take the time to research WLGC’s awarded patents and existing pending patents you would ask yourself with these patents why is the stock selling for $0.15 per share. Try this, go to any cellular phone (text message or email), any on-line search engine, any software and type in a character or two and if something pops up to complete the word that you are typing that “Predictive Text” function is protected by one or more of WLGC’s predictive text patents! Yep really surprising show many “major companies” are infringing upon WLGC’s “Intellectual Property!” The low pps is understandable based upon an analysis of the company financials. However, as you saw by doing my Try This test everyone is infringing upon WLGC’s “Intellectual Property” that I’m sure you will agree if you have read the many already granted patents. With these very valuable patents I think the reason for the low pps is WLGC currently does not have the financial resources to enforce their “Intellectual Property Rights.” There is so much infringement by so many large companies with deep pockets that if another company would buyout WLGC and enforce the “Intellectual Property” the court awards and/or out of court settlement(s) amounts would be at least in the hundreds of millions of dollars not including any future royalties! If my analysis is correct I would think that WLGC would go to some investors to obtain the funds to enforce their “Intellectual Property” and even if the company had to initially grant the investor(s) 75 to 80 percent of the court awarded or settlement amount it would be a prudent thing to do because it would give WLGC the financial resources to go after the many other companies that are infringing upon their “Intellectual Property.” And this analysis is not even considering WLGC's new "Reach" software. All of the above is in my opinion. I welcome any feedback, comments, or opinions from the readers of this post. Sincerely, Senior Chief
mckinley1: I also own ENRT and LXRP. I was not aware they were talking about a possible merger. Do you by chance have a link? I have looked but can't find anything about this.
Tearex: Your post is one of the most honest posts that I have seen on all of the forums that I follow. Good post from an honest investor in my opinion! Sincerely, Senior Chief
lucky, mydog: I hear ya. I didn't sell today and I don't intend to sell. That does not saying I'm bullish on the company but I will let my shares ride on up or fall to zero and just take the write off. Good investing to you Lucky.....Sincerely, Senior Chief
jwm1784: This is the third time since I've been in the market since 1966 that I've been involved in one of these class actions. The first time I received 10 cents on the dollar for my losses and the attorneys got most of the settlement money, the second time I tossed it in the trash because it was a waste of my time and the people that did partake got 5 cents on the dollar. It cost you nothing to participate in the litigation and heck I guess getting something back after a few years is better than getting nothing back. Hope that this help ya. Sincerely, Senior Chief
So no formal or informal investigation but the SEC had some "Concerns" so they suspend trading and screw the existing stockholders! The SEC should immediately take this stock off of the grey sheets and relist it! What a bunch of crap!
Thank you to whomever is responsible for changing this forum to read (TWMJF) (TSXV:TWD)! I'm in the U.S.A. and can only purchase TWMJF and as per Scottrade holding this stock is in fact TWD. So with the initial confusion about this I appreciate the change! Sincerely, Senior Chief
Danl: Yep, I don't have a problem agreeing with that.
rooktrader: I must have missed that. I don't understand what am I missing? Thanks. Sincerely, Senior Chief
Curious2u: Yes I believe they will be regulated for the same reasons the government regulates everything ( too political to state here because this is not a political forum ). With the $10.00 price compared to the other ecigs ( I just paid $80.00 per set up for me and my wife, total $160.00 ) so if the regulations result in any increases like a tax for example MCIG has plenty of room to tack on any regulation driven increases and still beat the pants off their competition. Not the best news today about regulations but this news didn't change my positive attitude about owning this stock. Sincerely, Senior Chief
alsoconcerned: Some of the Guest comments under the article are excellent comments and IMO tell a better assessment. I like the one comment that it was a negative for NVLX to pay for the PR but it was acceptable for the other company to pay for their PR. Yep seems like a somewhat biased negative report on NVLX to me. For full disclosure I am a NVLX stockholder and at this snapshot in time I'm perfectly happy owning the shares. IMO their new cancer treatment and possible FDA Fast Tracking this treatment are positive indicators alone to own this stock. Watch the pps escalate when they get the Fast Tracking, escalate again with a successful Phase IIB test results and this is not even considering any positive results from them getting into the marijuana business. Too many potential good things for me to not take a chance on NVLX. All just my opinions. Sincerely, Senior Chief
EngageFactor: My broker Scottrade told me the same thing. I added 300 shares a few minutes ago at $3.10 per share. The difference in pps is because of the exchange rate. Sincerely, Senior Chief
ProCannabis: I'm so ate up with several medical problems caused by my exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam I serious doubt that I have two years left. I had cancer surgery February 2013 and spine surgery May 2013. I told the Neurosurgeon in May 2013 right after he operated on me that I doubt that I have much time left here and he didn't even attempt to disagree with me. So my investment in MCIG is not for me but for the heirs to my estate unless MCIG should rocket up to $20.00 per share within the next 12 or so months at which time I may sell just a little of my shares. I did buy a stock in the 1960's that was a penny stock but I bought it at a little over $6.00 per share and it went to $110.00 in less than 18 months so I guess anything is possible. Sincerely, Senior Chief
manfromjax: I have not sold a single share of MCIG since I made my first buy at $0.80 per share. I got my base price per share down from $0.80 to $0.62 just by buying substantially more shares as the stock price went lower. Thanks for your service to our country and may MCIG be a profitable investment for you to reward you for your Honorable service and being paid too low for what you do to keep us all safe and ensure our freedom! Sincerely, Senior Chief
ProCannabis: I have only received one margin call since investing in stocks since 1966 and it slammed me hard. Since then I have not been on margin again until a few minutes ago with this stock and I had enough cash in the account to buy the number of more shares in MCIG that I wanted to buy and I was only $350.00 short. But I mailed a deposit check yesterday and they will have my check today since the office is only 10 miles from my home and historically my deposit check will be credited to my account at 4:00 PM today so I will only be on margin for a few hours and only for $350.00 that will be cleared off in 42 minutes from now. Sincerely, Senior Chief
ProCannabis: Hope that you are right. I just bought some more and I have my cost basis down to $0.62 per share after this last buy when my first buy was at $0.80 per share. Like many of my fellow MCIG stock holders have said here this company has a lot going for it; low number of shares, no debt, looks like a recent substantial increase in sales/revenue judging by many reports here, a good product that the customer wants, a product at a very reasonable price, and last but not least a dividend in the near future. For someone that historically did not invest in what they call penny stocks I sure hope that MCIG does reasonably well for me. I don't need to be a millionaire, don't desire to be a millionaire because I can't spend all that money anyway, but just some extra bucks for this old man to leave to my heirs will satisfy me! Good Luck my Fellow Longs! I will be staying long! Sincerely, Senior Chief
ALL IN2: I agree with your post! Personally I really despise shorters. I have never shorted a stock and I never will but I have bought Puts on individual stocks and bought Puts on an Index. I did buy a bunch of Puts on Value Jet Airlines when they crashed a plane in Florida and I bought a bunch of Puts on an Index just prior to the 1987 crash. I believe that shorting a stock hurts the investors in that company and that is wrong. If I'm negative on a company and Puts are not available I will just move on to something else.
Otsy: Glad to hear about the Diabetes because I was only aware of cancer. I am diabetic so I will be watching this closer now other than an investment. I have several medical problems caused by my exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. It would be great if NLVX treatment would take care of my diabetes so I can stop the diabetes medication and the daily glucose testing.
ducks2312: Yep I agree. I would much rather buy this stock ( I'm already in this stock ) before the FDA approve rather than after the FDA approval and have to pay more for the stock. I mean heck at $0.37 per share how much can you lose unless your portfolio is not diversified and the person has all of their eggs in one basket which is a dumb thing to do with any portfolio! I'm currently in 9 stock being 22 percent in stock and 78 percent in cash because in my 48 years of being in the market I have never seen such a disturbing market! I was short the market by holding a bunch of Puts on an index when the 1987 crash happened and any reasonable person saw that crash coming. I was also extremely cautious during the Dot-Com crash but so were many professional investment firms. Never seen a market like this before combined with the low interest rates, what is going on in America/World today politically (will not articulate because this is not a political site), and the potential terrorist attacks. Nope I will selectively buy stocks and this is one that I own and have no worries about holding this one or the other 8 in my portfolio and I'm not holding all penny stocks. Y'all have a good day and profitable investments. Sincerely, Senior Chief
Oakbay: In my opinion and only my opinion the investors are waiting to see if anything significant happens with WLGC's "Reach" and their "iknowu" products. My son as been a computer tech for the past 22 years and he is now a manager in the computer tech field, he has researched WLGC's "Reach" software on WLGC's website and he told me; "Dad I really like it, I have never seen anything like the Reach software available in the industry." For full disclosure my son does own WLGC's stock but he didn't start buying the stock in earnest until he researched their "Reach" software on their website. I've owned WLGC stock since 2004 with well over 100,000 shares until 2007-2008 when I sold at various times all but 2,100 shares to be able to pay cash for our retirement home that we bought in May 2008. I have been purchasing more WLGC's stock recently ( within the past 30 days ) and I'm back up to 27,700 shares now. Sincerely, Senior Chief
camvvv: I've been in the market for 48 years and the majority of the time a reverse split will be the start of death to the company. If you research on the internet you will see that the majority of the companies that do a R/S are done for and the stock price falls back down and many eventually go bankrupt. I'm totally against a R/S.
sicofbs: I would like to very respectfully give you some sound advice. Saying negative things about an individual that is with a Public Company can result in severe consequences if any repeat any of your statements are not true and results in harm (e.g. physical, threating phone calls, or degrading his reputation) to the individual or harm to the company (e.g. pps goes down due to your on-line public comments)! I respectfully submit for your consideration that if you are that concerned about him then just don't purchase the stock but saying derogatory statements about him in a public forum can really come back and bite you. I don't know you from Adam sicofbs, I am new to I-Hub, but I'm 70 years old and I have been in the market since November 1966 so this is not my first Rodeo. For full disclosure I do own stock in this company. If you admit it or not, if you stop the derogatory comments or not, if you are any businessman at all worth your salt you know in your heart that what I say is the truth. So a word to the wise sicofbs, I wish you the best, and I hope that you have not gone too far already resulting in you getting in some trouble! Sincerely, Senior Chief.
dbg1969: Absolutely correct! The shorts could get hurt real bad by shorting this stock along with the Dividends they will be responsible for!
ProCannabis: I appreciate all of your posts. Based upon my 48 years in the stock market I believe that when the Ex-Div is announced the public that does not own the stock today will be given some notice of when the Ex-Dib date is. When this occurs I believe that we will see substantial increases in MCIG pps at least up to the Ex-Div date and possibly substantial increases after the Ex-Div date. All content is just my opinion. Sincerely, Senior Chief
MD-420: A very logical thought process! Some posters here, including you MD-420 are responsible for me buying this stock because of the logical and well thought out posts here. And responsible for me doubling my position two times. Thank you my fellow MCIG investors for your logical and accurate posts here! Sincerely, Senior Chief
Stockdummy10: Scottrade advised me that TWMJF is how they trade TWD for their clients. You can't buy symbol TWD at Scottrade. I saw a post on-line a few days ago that if you own TWMJF, which I do, that you do own TWD. Has something to do with what brokers trade on what exchanges. Yep confusing to me also but right now I'm very comfortable that if TWD is a success then TWMJF will be a success also. If ya do a search at Scottrade wanting to buy Tweed Marijuana stock then TWMJF comes up. Hope this helps ya, Sincerely, Senior Chief
Getright777: I really like LXRP! I found this company only because you posted on another board ( I can't say what board because I don't want to violate any I-Hub rules ) to check out this company ( LXRP )that is a partner with the other company in the Marijuana business. I have research both companies and I really like LXRP because at least they have a revenue stream in another business, the oil business. Additionally I like LXRP's management discussion to continue in the oil business, how they intend to do that, in addition to expanding into the Marijuana business. I also like the number of LXRP's common shares outstanding compared to other companies I have owned over the years! I own several other Marijuana stocks but I can't post the symbols for obvious reasons. After my extensive research/DD I will be purchasing LXRP on the open Monday. I thank you Getright777 for suggesting on another board to research LXRP! I fully understand and agree with I-Hub not wanting people to tout stock on other boards or that would be the majority of what the posts would be about just taking up investors time. I've been in the market continuously since November 1966 ( I'm 70 years old ) but historically in Blue Chips, selling covered Calls, and buying/selling Puts/Calls and this is my first serious investments in what many call "Penny Stocks." So far I've done okay in this penny stock market, with unrealized gains because I have not sold any, but I am cautious and I'm only 22 percent invested and 78 percent in cash because the market in general is like no other that I've seen before! I was heavy in Puts on various Index when the market crashed in 1987 and I did quite well but I have never shorted a stock and I never will because I don't believe in that and hurting the existing share holders and I will only be Long by buying Puts on an Index or individual stocks when Puts are available. I've had a few of my posts deleted by management at I-Hub because I'm new here and I unintentionally violated a rule by posting a symbol of another stock on a board. I don't like when I-Hub management gets angry/disappointed in me and has to delete one of my post because it is just not like me to violate a rule ( I'm retired military so I firmly believe in following the rules! ). Thanks to you, I will be Long LXRP early Monday morning with a significant position, I hope that I will be Long, because my order will be an "All or None" order placed a little above the Asked price so I will get filled! May you and yours have a great Easter! Sincerely, Senior Chief
Sledjohnson: Thank you very much for taking your time to answer this for me and I'm pleased to know that I do in fact own TWD and that Scottrade just does it differently. TWD is the stock that I wanted to own. I-Hub did delete some of my post regarding me trying to get information on this but I had absolutely no intention to intentionally break any rules or tout buying a stock on another board. You saved me a lot of time Sledjohnson trying to figure this out! Sincerely, Senior Chief
Mtruz42: Thanks! I bought through Scottrade.
Privileged: An absolutely outstanding reply that you posted! He/she should not confuse a delayed order, temporary lack of communications from the company, and the stock that he/she owns in a company that is swamped with orders for their product! The company will overcome their backlog problem and in a reasonable amount of time in my opinion. This person is going to be very angry if the pps goes up substantially and they sold all of their stock just because of a delayed order and a communications problem that every company will have from time to time. Oh well to each their own but your advice Privileged is very logical advice and from a business/investment perspective that speaks well of your thought process. Sincerely, Senior Chief
ProCannabis: I agree but also would depend upon the Purchase Order requirements. Considering that their product is made in China it is my opinion that several manufactures in China ( including the one they are already using )could ramp up very quickly to meet the demand. Obviously shipping from China for a large order would/could also be a delaying factor depending upon how the product is currently being sent (e.g. ship or air). I don't know what the profit margin is per unit but if high enough I'm sure the company would be willing to take a cut in their per unit profit for a large order from a large retailer. I hope that you are doing well. Sincerely, Senior Chief
Privileged: I wish you could post what other MJ Stocks that you like but too bad that is against the rules. Historically I have been a Blue Chip Stock/Options - Calls and Puts investor until around 2004 when I dabbled in a penny stock that is still around today and it went from very low ( can't remember exactly now without check my tax records but I'll guess at around $0.25 per share up to a shade over $4.00 per share and in 2007 and 2008 I was selling all of my shares between $1.50 and $3.75 per share but I did keep 2,100 shares that I recently increased my position to 27,000 shares. I was able to pay cash for our retirement home in May 2008 thanks to that stock. That was the only penny stock that I have seriously dabbled in with over 100,000 shares. But my son recently told me to buy some MJ stocks so I bought two of them this being one and the other MJ stock that I bought recently had trading "Suspended" so I don't know what will happen with that one in the future. Profitable investing to you Privileged! Sincerely, Senior Chief
DRWconsulting12 (DRW) and Give Me Space (GMS: I sure hope that DRW is correct and also GMS reply to DRW. I dollar cost averaged yesterday and doubled my position when it hit $0.50 share so my total share cost price now is $0.61. I'm going to stay long but at 70 years old and not in good health with several Agent Orange caused medical problems from Vietnam I sure hope it is not too long! Oh I'm not all in with this stock and with the 5 stocks that I currently own I'm still only 22 percent invested in stocks and the rest (78%) is still in cash. I've been in the market since 1966 and recently I've been looking (researching and DD) for something to buy but can't find anything. I'm really concerned about this market and also what is going on in American (I will not give specifics because this is not a political website so it would be inappropriate for me to go there). I have recently even researched buying some "Puts" on an Index ( I can't post what index because posting a symbol is against the rules) but in my opinion the cost was too high. This is a strange market that we are in and obviously I've seen the Savings and Loan Crisis in the 1970's, the 1987 crash and at the time I was short the market by owning many Index Puts (same index that I recently researched the Put Options on) and also obviously I saw the Dot Com bubble bust. Other than the stocks that I already own this is the time to be cautious. With the MCIG pps recently I'm surprised that they have not announced the Ex-Div Date that I think will help the pps. GLTA and I hope MCIG makes us some money. Sincerely, Senior Chief
