As you know, I am.
There are certain days where we live in "basher's paradise" a paradise that fades away into a mirage on the uptrend.
Curious on the fibs, this is close to where I thought the retrace would land.
Here's another one who only comes out of his hidey hole when the time is right.
Personally, I'd never rule out some sort of brief foxtrot with prices somewhere in the high .40's.
My gut tells me this would be damn near impossible - but the brain is commanding me to keep it real.
Plan for the worst when expecting the best - keeps us all level.
When phot is looking strong, it attracts all sorts of negative articles. A friend just sent me an article that told readers to drop 4 Mj stocks specifically - phot being one of them.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to be back into the .60's this week - but there's always a little tidal wave before sunshine.
Hmm what did you miss?
Well earnings came out and there was very little activity either way. News has been overall bullish lately.
Alan with a good SA article and an announcement today of Kyle Kushman specific nutrient lines.
I can see why we're down today - the Kushman signing was more directed to cannabis officianados and I'm pretty sure the mainstream has no clue as to the impact this will have.
Then what I assume is a bearish article about phot this morning set off the dip we were all expecting to bring us to the .40 level - but alas, support at .51.
Little rundown of the events there.
Except you're a bit late :(
The storm brought us to .51 - and here we are at .53.
If it's under .50 at any time, I'm sure we'll both load up on the discounted price!
Financials trend released an article on phot this very morning. I haven't had a chance to read yet, but my assumption is it's an article that reads bearish on earnings.
That's really been working out for you, huh?
Oh the waiting game.
Some play and win, some play and wait forever.
Did you miss the negative article that triggered it?
I don't mind a little reset, as this appears to be.
Hope you got some at .51!
Also as mentioned it seems like the google search for phot news has a first result of what sounds to be a bad report on Growlife financials.
So it sounds like a lot of the mainstream had a gut reaction to sell despite Alan's recent article and the Kushman release.
My condolences to anyone who sold.
You can always dream!
Good news for long term health, RSI, etc. new holders jumping on.
Not a pretty sight, but definitely relieving that we finally see the dip many were expecting.
Wouldn't be surprised if momentum jumps us back on the rise fairly quick here.
That would be nice considering the complete and total lack of movement for the last.... Several months?
Did you take a moment to research what it was spent on?
Here comes the infrastructure.
Sell on the news today it appears! No matter - long hold.
Kushman and Growlife - two prominent names coming out of the closet to join forces in helping our future growers produce the best quality cannabis... Exclusively.
Need I say more?
Right there with you.
Seems like a traditional ebb and flow of things.
Up 10k in one week - down 6k in another then back up another 5k the next week.
Most importantly I've noticed week to week or month to month is a much better way to evaluate this stock. People who worry big about one down day aren't necessarily being realistic.
The long term outlook of higher highs and higher lows makes this stock a great long term investment. Impatience is a definite vice in these situations.
Yah even though it may be relatively old news, I hadn't seen it before.
The graph is telling, the 3 biggest were my 3 top picks early on. Now almost all is in phot with some others I've been testing lately.
Heh check this out -

Yup, the fitx estimates look very inflated, except....
Even if Bill hits 1/2 or even 1/4 those estimates in the first year, there will be overwhelming profits.
38 days from flowering period to harvest is more feasible and can be done with a perpetual grow set up. This still means that the first year will have a lower harvest than the following years.
As for donkeys chasing carrots - since that is an analogy to making 10x + gains - I'm a very happy donkey so far.
Always feel free to add something constructive or ask questions.
Sure there are a lot of people out there with agendas - you see them on every single board. Pumpers and bashers alike - it is hard to find the direct neutral.
Honestly in comparison to other boards, I find the Growlife boards to be fairly mature. Sure, we see ridiculous converts like Clark come in and these people will change their position as soon as they buy or sell.
To that note, I just wanted to say that some of the most constructive conversations about phot and the industry have been had between fellow longs here. There is a lot of knowledge stewing about here and I enjoy adding in my 2 cents as a former grower.
I see Growlife as a necessary support foundation for the industry. I believe in the inevitability of the flourishing cannabis sector in the same way I believe phot will grow to become an industry necessity... It helps that I've actually used their products and can attest to the quality and performance. I've ordered lots of equipment over the years and greners.com has been without fail where I have had mixed experience with others.
Not really a big surprise considering all the articles published on SA about pot stocks - oh how they're overvalued and somehow portrays that sensible human beings are being put to shame.
Seen it with many lately, look at phot and grnh - none of those articles have really come to fruition.
Attempts at manipulation so that simple traders can make big $$$ during the cannabis rush, an industry a lot of these alpha guys seem pretty clueless on.
They'll all come under fire, and SA's authors will continue to lose credibility or write 'short' articles.
Very strange indeed!
Burton called it, the market priced those financials in already, made an expected phot crash into just another day of ho-hum trading.
You were around when I first jumped into phot.
At the time you were the most die-hard supporter out there.
Your DD spawned waves of us, but I'll still be critical of your wishy washy behavior as I am now a long more true than you!
You're still good in my book.
Well, extra points for you on staying with your guns.
With your pessimism and my optimism we could rule over all, haha!
I was tempted to call you out earlier.
I don't mind seeing green, but have a few friends who won't like me very much for telling them to wait until after earnings come out!
That's a great thought, but we are nowhere near that status.
A quiet CEO and no new updates - do we have any photos of their testing facility yet?
If this just keeps on going sideways then I'm getting into the next best looking lab testing and archiving company.
I stick around thinking maybe tomorrow will be the day, maybe the CEO will come out of the closet, maybe management will let shareholders know their plans.
They're just too quiet, where's the progress?
A billion dollar industry will have its fair share of valid companies, but many will turn to dust.
Thankfully - phot is establishing well enough to become one of the survivors.
I feel like short articles attacking phot are losing their 'pizazz' - I mean they've only tried to bring it down 6 times or so at this point.
That said, when phot is doing well then you can almost always expect there is a shorter writing an article in a dark room somewhere - just begging to have an impact.
Tell them they need to break out the big guns, all previous attacks have been duds.
Regardless, they contribute to the long term health of Growlife stock seemingly without intending to.
I'm still here. Thought we saw a glimmer of hope last week, but then back down.
All that volume and no movement.
What happened to the CEO announcement expected by end of march?
That could happen, but I'm more excited about the increases we could see from this year's quarterly reports.
If it increased that much by end of 2013, I can only imagine what revs could look like on next release - that's pretty exciting.
More exciting to me is we didn't take an immediate 10-20 cent dip this morning - which shows me amazing resilience here.
Well, this is definitely a much different opening compared to last quarter revenue sell off.
Sounds like spouting of unconfirmed fear mongering.
Worst case, let's say it's true. If it is, then Rob Hunt met one of his performance goals and has full right to do that. It may turn out the completion of his goal will positively affect the pps more so than the negativity of him selling shares.
I highly doubt it's true though. I think Hunt knows he can hold on for higher prices.
Here's how I see it no matter what.
If you have confidence in the cannabis sector, then invest in the foundation within.
For me, it was a no-brainer to invest in a company well set up to build a foundation at the beginning and become a large part of the backbone of the industry.
These guys are making money and haven't even crossed the 'green line' yet. When it is allowed for them to do so, they'll be well set up as they started with the foundation of the movement in services to growers and dispensaries.
To me, that was the perfect place to start. Lately, I see my investment in phot to be less about the company and more about the movement in general because the company is setting up so well to remain highly involved.
And what makes you say that?
Yup, I'm a long holder here. As others have said- there are plenty of stocks to flip out there, phot just isn't one of them.
It's funny we still get flippers here despite a good variety of low float flip stocks available in the Mj sector.
Heard that.
Last earnings report yielded us nearly a little 50% retrace from .12 back to around .06.
I think there are a lot of people hoping this will be a repeat. An uneventful trading day will be a show of strength here.
Last quarter we were up by high increasing % for financials, but the following day it dropped from .12 to .06 to .08. A week later we were testing .20's...
Despite good financials, it became a 'sell on the news ordeal' and the only time I ever tried to get rid of any phot shares.
Go figure!
If there isn't a sell off tomorrow there will be tons of unhappy sideliners :(
Still hangin tough!
What points to that? A stagnant company that has sold out of product and is stuck in limbo because they can't so their own bottling.
Are the drinks any good?
DEWM = DOOMED?
