Shawn Simmons is a dj, magician, and photo booth for hire guy. "personal services in the music industry" is what steve writes in the press release. an operations guy? are these the right guys for the job to lauch the product into australia?
it looks like a web site and a couple of phone numbers only at this point. this could be like the haiti, saudi arabia, japan, and ghana sales efforts.
i did a search on the contact sales numbers:
"General Inquiries: 0468760750" is a "Ace DJ Hire" and "Ace Photo Booth Hire"
"Sales Inquiries: 0409331974" is for a company that lists themselves as "Joint Sealing Specialists"
http://www.sealemsolutions.com.au/
the address: "Billinghurst Cresent, Upper Coomera, 4209 Queensland, Australia" shows a residential street with a driving school on it.
is this a joke?
thanks for the clarification. i appreciate the perspective.
what is an AJH?
i appreciate reliable insight, but there seems to be a bent to what you write.
i did a search. don't you mean "LADBS" instead of LARR?
here is the part you must be referring to:
i thought that Superstorm Sandy was already the perfect storm? can ECOB's product be used for boardwalks?
looks like this fire protection is catching on.
International Barrier Technology Inc. (IBTGF) has a different coating that ECOB. i cannot tell if they compete directly. IBTGF has aligned itself with LPX.
looks like he is right. ESR-3255 suspended.
here is where it should be:

this is what you get instead:
http://www.icc-es.org/Reports/pdf_files/suspension%20notice.pdf
fair enough. good luck to you as well.
that is not a very good picture relating to his question. that picture is from a demo day or contractor event at the store.
phishtrick,
it is very prominantly displayed in the HD stores that are stocking the product. look at the pictures on this ECOB message board. the one on the upper right is typical of the stores that are stocking it.
it is a pretty impressive and prominant placement.
i've noticed you frequently present your case for an extremely bullish stock when it comes to ECOB. the stock has not performed other than volatile short-term moves which looks like the way to trade this stock.
i am working on moving on. i am taking Archie's advice and doing very short-term trades to get to break-even and eliminate my position. i hope to be out by the end of the month as i think the revenue and the more important profit numbers will be extremely disappointing. if ECOB gets non-toxic financing, i will buy back in.
i really like the product. i hate the stock performance.
as you are, i am expressing my opinion. opinions that are not very bullish seem to get pushed out on this board.
who is saying it is nothing new or unique? the product is.
you wrote "Home Depots product overview- very telling!!" and "This is Home Depots description"
i am saying that the average joe would look at that as a marketing piece from the manufacturer, not something that HD wrote about the product. AND, in fact, it is a marketing piece written by the manufacturer.
be careful not to read more into marketing pieces and pawn them off as something HD wrote. clearly, that is not true.
pieces per unit of lumber:
Size (Pieces per Unit)
2x4 (208)
2x6 (128)
2x8 (96)
2x10 (80)
2x12 (64)
what? you are the one that said it was selling great and then you provided evidence that it was a pittance? you are the one that gave all of us the numbers, and poor numbers at that. and that is everybody else's fault for not calling the same stores?
i called my store to see if your figures were significant or not relative to a truckload. my HD guy says not.
who are you trying to convince? yourself or everybody else?
it is a marketing line straight from ECOB's website:
http://www.ecob.net/index.php?p=products&id=100
it is in all of ECOB's literature. have you ever been on Amazon? where do you think those descriptions come from? they come from the manufacturer of the products.
wow! just wow.
i would have expected more, way more. so, i calls my local HD store to see how many piecs of 2" x 4" x 8' can fit on a truck. the guys says "about 6000". 16' pieces would be 3000. how many do you think fits on a railcar???? 20,000?
449 pieces between all of those east coast stores is like a unit and a half? really? that's it? crud! that won't even pay for steve's rental car to get to the stores to promote it.
are you sure there isn't more? that CANNOT be the number. maybe he was referring to only one SKU? please tell me you made an error to the very low side. 449 units perhaps?
so, i asks the HD guy how many home builders buy their lumber at HD. he says "almost none. mostly do-it-yourselfers and some remodelers." production builders or national home builders? "never", he says. "they buy direct from the producers"
in other words, the revenue numbers are not going to be what we had hoped.
what is so telling? it is a marketing piece from ECOB. i don't think that is showing HD "telling" anything. am I missing something there?
lotsa time archie, stock hasn't moved
this stock has hardly changed in 3 months. you could have bought at this price in february too.
so what is the hurry about buying back in? i have come to realize that dilution will wipe out any chances for this stock to rise in value until some real financing comes into play.
the day that real financing is announced is the day to buy. until then, any other stock with a pulse is better. i think that even my savings account is showing better gains.
good product, bad management.
makes you want to go long, doesn't it?
HD stock up 133% in past 2 years. ECOB down 89% in the same period of time. HD is doing something right and ECOB hasn't.
i don't get how this is HD's fault?
i don't completely agree with you, but i have begun to take the same investment strategy with this stock to buy in on the dips and sell off from my total shares at the peaks, dramatically reducing my exposure to this do nothing stock.
hopefully i can move on soon. i might come back in when real financing is announced.
my longs on other stocks, particularly PGTI and DDD have done great.
HD dictates how suppliers do business with them. it is not determined by penny stock shareholders. lol.
if you want stock performance with the help of HD, invest in HD stock. at least it has been going the last year. last 2 years too.
obviously, he is not say that the product is a scam, just the stock and the way the company is being financed currently.
so, toxic selling is done until it comes back. way to cover all contingencies there.
share price will not change considerably until the meeting and the release of financials. its going to be a yawner until then.
financing = goes up considerably
no financing = drops dramatically
you make it sound too good to be true
the toxic sellers are done? maybe you should tell the toxic sellers that.
you predict that every other week. broken record.
i thought that the Redwood portion was the first half of MRL's stake?
i guess that I have not seen it before. that is a terrible term.
Manhattan Resources still holds 40,500,000 shares according to the proxy statement as of 08-26-2013.
ECOB Proxy Statement 08-27-2013
am i missing something here?
reading through the details in the proxy statement is interesting:
real financing is what will move this stock. further dilution is not helping and chinese letters of credit obviously do not work.
how do they get solid financing? i think that they have to show a potential suitor that they can make a decent profit first.
"authorize a class of undesignated or “blank check” preferred stock"
couldn't they use a better term than "blank check". that does not help and implies irresponsibility.
do you think this board drives the stock price?
are wildfires new?
well said.
that is a smart approach. the opportunities to buy in at a low price have been there for a while and will be there for a while. the charts show the trend.
wait until it hits. you have time.
$32 million is what he overspent. ECOB spent much more than that. add up all spending, not just the deficits.
so this is the forum of happy thoughts only? am i holding down the stock price with my negative vibes? are large institutional investors reading this forum for advice?
as i have said, i am holding out for 0.080 give or take. at this point, it ain't going to get much worse for me.
should i point to only rosy predictions and avoid talking about the pitfalls? maybe LV and tagamajab should be blocked from posting too. they are bringing me down. lol
my fear is that conboy does not reduce overhead with these new sales. all indications are that he has not.
total revenue thru ECOB's history amounts to $9,440,446 until end of march 2013.
6/30/2008 $5,119
6/30/2009 $8,332
6/30/2010 $224,499
6/30/2011 $1,338,962
6/30/2012 $3,723,374
3/31/2013 $4,140,160
Total Revenue $9,440,446
ECOB dumped accountants in the past too, but this time, you are off track.
do a search on the announcement details and you will find that ol Kan resigned from a few companies in the past few days.
STCC - Sterling Consolidated Corp.
SCKT - Socket Mobile Inc
IHSI - Intelligent Highway Solutions Inc
there may be more.
maybe Conboy owns a piece of each of those too. :)
