fish: almost all shares each day are being purchased at higher price than the close. A bunch went off over $4 yesterday. I'd speculate the company is buying them on the ask (think they have to). The volume is so low they can only buy so much each day.
OT: fish, looks like CNAT hit the skids...
billpr: Are you going to I/ITSEC 2018 in Orlando this week - maybe Ferris will be there so you can give him your $0.02 worth.
fish: Shouldn't you be dollar-cost-averaging at this level?
billpr: OT: What, the Publix version not good enough for you? lol
O/S needs to be updated in the intro.
As of November 13, 2018, the registrant had 7,911,807 shares of common stock outstanding.
fish: Ferris holds a lot more shares than you and I would think he's also looking out for his best interest. He can't possibly be happy with the PPS and lack of interest/liquidity right now.
Something needs to be done to significantly increase revenues and an acquisition looks to be the only way at this point in time to do that. He needs to put that cash to use pretty soon.
avocado: They did buy back some shares in Q2 and Q3 2017, although it was not a significant amount
For the three month period ending September 30, 2017, VirTra repurchased 17,489 shares of stock to hold in treasury at a total cost basis of $82,834, and for the nine month period ending September 30, 2017 VirTra repurchased 20,939 shares of stock to hold in treasury at a total cost basis of $96,634 pursuant to its Repurchase Program. On October 18, 2017, VirTra suspended its Repurchase Program indefinitely due to its pending Regulation A Offering. The repurchased shares will remain in treasury for future sale.
fish: Lawsuits for what .. making money?
There is always the disclaimer at the bottom of everything they put out stating there are forward looking statements that may or may not materialize. They had a slow quarter of sales, can't suit them over that. They've allocated money to buy back shares but never promised to buy any back. Have they not even investigated looking to make an acquisition? They've only stated they are looking into possible acquisitions, never promised to make any. With the growing cash on hand the possibility becomes greater either they buy back shares or have a better shot at making an acquisition, IMO.
"They loved us at 4.50, they're gonna really love us at 3.75" lol
VirTra's (VTSI) CEO Bob Ferris on Q3 2018 Results - Earnings Call Transcript
https://seekingalpha.com/article/4221929-virtras-vtsi-ceo-bob-ferris-q3-2018-results-earnings-call-transcript?dr=1
In addition to our backlog, our cash position continues to remain strong. We are considering ways of leveraging our excess cash to generate benefits beyond a strong balance sheet. To that end, we are currently exploring potential acquisition opportunities that would uniquely fit with purchase business. We are still in the early phase of this process, but I will immediately share any acquisition information if and when it becomes material. We are also looking to buy back shares of VirTra common stock and we will continue to do so based on what is most optimal given the stock markets – the stock's current price, our cash reserve levels, and the potential return of other uses of the cash.
frpt100k: Was stated during the call, after the CFO spoke I believe.
Looking at acquisitions and share buyback, according to CC.
Is the 10k out yet?
fish: I picked up 2500 at 4.50 and 4.54 recently
RStevens: To get others to buy the stock. It's a psychological ploy - hey, look, they're going to buyback some stock so the price will be supported by the company.
avocado: They never promised to buy back $1M worth of stock.
They allocated $1M to be used as they saw fit. They didn't have to buy back any, just the announcement of the authorization is enough to entice some people to buy the stock. Classic penny stock move.
eagle11: It's 60% according to NASDAQ.
They now have 108 institutional shareholders and you will see substantial increase in the number of institutions since mid 2016, as well as the number of shares. It's interesting to note that their O/S nearly doubled over that time period.
Their last quarterly revenue was $21M, almost double what it was same quarter previous year, thanks to acquisitions.
avocado: Looks similar, although that company looked to be in a descending channel. I believe VTSI ascending triangle is a higher probability pattern, we really need the volume. Long ago in VTSI land, the battle cry was "we need one big contract!". Now, we need increasing, sustained volume.
The nice thing about the chart you posted was the increase in volume. RE: VTSI, everyone before Liolios has failed to bring in the volume. If Liolios can achieve here what they did for that company you linked then we have good things coming our way, IMO.
schneid: Could very well go down. This is a key level right here and it needs to get over 6.00 and hold it for several days IMO or it will drift south. I'm just wondering right now if this is institutional buying vs. the individual penny-stock trader looking to make a quick buck. I'm hoping it's the former given the uplist and all the exposure lately to "real" investors.
Schneidku40: As a long time holder, you gotta be kicking yourself now seeing this activity.
avocado: correct, ascending triangle. An ascending wedge is similar but the top line is not horizontal.

fish: VTSI has only broken 5.80 - 5.90 (split adjusted) one day this year (a Friday late in March) and it couldn't hold it, dropping below it the very next trading day. It has since twice climbed to 5.80 - 5.90 (mid-June and mid-August) and couldn't get by it. There is resistance at that level. The NEXT resistance is the 6.50 area which it reached in late 2016 and again in late 2017. So I'd say if it gets past 5.90 on volume and holds it, the next stop is 6.50. I can no longer annotate charts on stockcharts.com since I dropped my subscription, but if you draw a straight horizontal line around 5.90 at the resistance, then draw a trendline on the lows starting late May, that is a rising bullish wedge. The 5.90 resistance becomes support, aka "change of polarity", if the price is broken and that level is held.
fish: Current chart pattern is a bullish ascending triangle. When it gets to the 5.85- 5.90 resistance, that will be a key level. If it can break through and hold it that should become a new support level. I never paid much attention to charts on stocks like this since the volume is so low. If the volume continues to increase the chart will have more meaning, IMO. Breaking through 5.90 with high volume will be a good sign.
fish: Enjoying the volume and appreciation in PPS.
We need to keep the momentum growing! More analyst coverage, more BUY ratings, more new blood coming into a stock starting to escape the "penny stock" arena.
And, oh yeah, more SALES!!
Just saw this on LinkedIn
Congratulate Daniel Hefner on their work anniversary
Daniel Hefner
Public Company CEO, Real Estate Broker
Celebrating 17 years at American Fiber Green Products, Inc.
AFGB has only been around since 2008, I think he has 17 years at AACS. Apparently to LinkedIn, years of service is more important than doing a good job. lol Some might have a hard time congratulating someone who has done a poor job for 17 years.
fish: I don't know the specifics on independent directors and NASDAQ requirements but don't we need five individuals on the BoD and don't at least half of them need to be independent? Let's say these three guys somehow don't get enough votes, what happens if we lose them?
Ruffieruff: That price target was "in a year".
I'd still be happy with $9 in a year.
Scneid: Bottom left of page 2.

fish: Could be a sign that the numbers are not good. They usually stay quite when they are not very good.
Virtra (VTSI) Earns Buy Rating from Analysts at Maxim Group

Virtra logoAnalysts at Maxim Group began coverage on shares of Virtra (OTCMKTS:VTSI) in a research note issued to investors on Thursday. The brokerage set a “buy” rating and a $9.00 price target on the stock. Maxim Group’s target price points to a potential upside of 82.19% from the company’s current price.
The analysts wrote, “We expect demand for effective police and military training to be a tailwind to support our five-year revenue and EPS CAGRs of 10% and 20%, respectively.”
rjhstock: They are building them...
for Ken McCleave. They suckered people into buying the company for Tampa Fiberglass (owned by Ken/Dan). Did you get those AFBG shares yet that they said would go to AACS shareholders as the result of the sale of Chariot? Don't know of anyone who has. Not that they would be worth anything as that's also turned out to be worthless.
now: Somebody getting ready to pump?!?
FlyingAlbatross: Volume since going to Nasdaq

Prior to that the average daily volume was around 5k - 6k and never reached 20k in a single day.
fish: Is that $3.00 average at current share structure?
An unarmed white person gets shot by a cop and you rarely hear about it in the national media. A white cop shoots an unarmed black person and everyone's racing to the scene to cover it and insinuate it was racially motivated, even if it's not. Some may be, others aren't, every case is different. Harvard did a study a few years back about police encounters that turn violent and the percentages between the perp being white or black (based on population of the race) are almost identical, I think the blacks were 0.2% higher. Morgan Freeman did a good interview about race with 60 minutes I believe many years ago. Thomas Sowell is another guy with a different opinion, so he's vilified by blacks for being an "Uncle Tom".
The media loves the whole "victimology" thing, nothing is ever anyone's fault anymore. Kids that get busted for the fifth time dealing drugs or stealing cars or burglarizing homes aren't BAD kids, they're all just GOOD kids who made bad decisions. Getting tired of hearing that.
ztect: Racist nonsense?!?! They are simply statistics and yes, most murders committed by blacks are against other blacks. I don't live in a high violent crime area, the black people I know are all decent people. I don't believe much of what I see in fictional movies or TV shows. Although I will say "The Wire" series was quite good and certainly realistic. Most of what I see on TV nowadays is certainly not demonizing blacks (granted I don't watch a whole lot of TV). There is now a "Black History Month" recognizing the positive accomplishment of blacks (much to the chagrin of Morgan Freeman). There are black super-hero movies and TV shows. Back in the days of "The Little Rascals" I could see your point but it's certainly not the case today.
ztect: Who is responsible for 50% of the murders in this country and what percentage of the population (3%) are they? Demonized in film and TV?!?!
TEEROY, they had to wait until the 1st quarter was over before releasing the news, Nasdaq timing just a coincidence IMO. They need to keep the orders rolling in now.
