Morning T1, Well said & I like it. But there is 1 more reason the longs have stayed with BL... As I mentioned the other day....
Nobody believes in MMRF more than BL. This is a FACT I know from the several conversations I have had with him.
I'm not bashing but I see today news letter about Sitting Down with Seeking Alpha hasn't helped.
damn, but that does not insinuate that they are not valid. THE POST IS PREMATURE @ BEST!
Yes please remove the sticky, the post is Invalid. It shows Patent Invalid Contention.
Contention Defined: Contention can mean struggle, contest, conflict, an opinion put forward, altercation.
Well today has been like watching & listening to my local weather man... sometimes he's right & sometimes he's wrong, but until mother nature shows up on my door step I'm just not sure.
1 thing I am sure about after numerous conversations with BL, he cares about this more than any of us.
stay safe all!

Morning FJ74, didn't you say we should know the particulars of this deal by Wednesday? If not any idea how soon we should know them?
Did anyone here about the law suit filed against WAG by a woman who went in the store wanting to make copies of pages from the bible? WAG claimed there was copy right infringements.
The law suit was dropped I believed but the story is true, it was on Fox & FBN last week.
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/02/26/chain-cites-copyright-law-in-refusing-to-print-images-bible-verses-claims-woman/
NMTI, just checked it out, WAG's board only has 24 followers.
FE911, I like your thinking but what do you have to support your $0.35
That link you provided is very OLD, go check the dates. GLTA!
This puppy (MMRF) is just getting started. I got a hospital right here in my back yard that offers patients a web base portal for accessing their medical records. Hospitals, Clinics, Doctors Offices, etc... everybody's going to have to pay to play.
I once told BL in 1 of our conversations that this could be just like the Microsoft Corporation & their Window's patent.
Price of poker going up Monday morning.

Health IT, Mobile Devices and the “Smart Patient”
This week, Dr. Geeta Nayyar, MD, MBA, is at HIMSS. Among the reasons she’s there is that she believes in the power of health IT play a key role in the creation of “smart” patients, patients who are educated, involved, and engaged in their care.
In a blog item she wrote from the show, Dr. Nayyar suggests that health IT is central to patient engagement — and will eventually be at the center of a concept known as Personal Health IT. I found this to be a fascinating idea, one which, as care devolves from centralized machinery to a dialogue with mobile devices, is likely to take the healthcare world by storm.
As she notes, mobility will be an essential element in any smart patient strategy, given the potential for mobile devices and apps to educate, inform and motivate patients around the clock. But patient engagement also calls for technology in the hospital or physician’s office. For example, she notes, this could include kiosks for updating a patient’s EMR, large display screens in exam rooms were doctors and patients are both few scans, lab reports and other findings together as a team.
After a physician encounter, a patient can then meet with another staffer who could download the Providers app to a smart phone or tablet, demonstrate how an e-prescription would work or even pass along a thumb drive with evidence-based studies, clinical instructions or relevant websites as part of a take-home package for patients, she suggests.
Dr. Nayyar concedes that for many clinicians, this will prove to be a disruptive experience and a dramatic change from traditional clinical and business protocol. What’s more, there are some patients who are not ready on that level, she admits.
But the notion of a mobility enabled smart patient strategy strikes me as an excellent idea. From Dr. Nayyar’s blog, it seems clear that this is all of the experimental stage but it seems to be heading in a very intelligent direction. What do you think?

I hear ya buddy, but on the good side this isn't yours, mine or several others on this board being here before.
Lets hope LS is still right... Time Is On Our Side!
Well it was post on FB
You got me LMAO! see everyone tomorrow.
Nice find, damn I'm glad your back... well at least showing yourself again.
If anybody knows FJ74 got a pretty good idea. But if the 22nd was the date I would think something would have to show up tomorrow. BSB, that was 1 of the best post I have read.
Recent post from Medical Quack. Last week it was posted MMRF paid for advertising or was the sponsor of Medical Quack. There are several advertisers on the site & it is my understanding the gal that runs The Medical Quack operates strictly from donations made to it.
CVS Flip Flops With Medical Records Choice For Minute Clinics, Selecting Epic, Did Allscripts Lose Some Potential Business? In 2012 They Were Announced As the CVS Choice
Well that didn’t last too long as the original electronic medical record used by the clinics were their own home grown EMR which was based on systems created by e-Clinical Works. So I guess they didn’t have time to convert any clinics over to Allscripts.
Minute Clinics Moving to Allscripts Medical Records System So I Guess E-Clinical Works Who Started With CVS Clinics Is Out the Door? How Do Medium/Small Companies Compete with Huge Corporate Conglomerates
Here’s what was said in February of 2012, two years ago (from the link above)
"MinuteClinic is partnering with Allscripts to assure that we are utilizing the most advanced electronic health record platform in the market," said Andrew Sussman, M.D., president, MinuteClinic and senior vice president/associate chief medical officer, CVS Caremark. "This will help support our nurse practitioners and physician assistants in continuing to meet and exceed the high standards we have set for quality and adherence to practice guidelines."
One of the first things that comes to mind here is that they want to be able to have records that communicate with hospitals. A couple weeks ago we had the bit marketing push from CVS about the tobacco, and of course there will be more data sold to make up some of the revenue.

ONC Reports on the State of Patient Matching Technology
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has issued a report on findings of the current status of patient matching technology.
The report is based on an environmental scan, literature review, and input from stakeholders and federal agencies. In a blog posting, ONC lists the core findings:
* Any changes to patient data attributes in exchange transactions should be coordinated with organizations working on parallel efforts to standardize health care transactions.
* Certification criteria should be introduced that require certified EHR technology (CEHRT) to capture the data attributes that would be required in the standardized patient identifying attributes.
* The ability of additional, non-traditional data attributes to improve patient matching should be studied.
* Certification criteria should not be created for patient matching algorithms or require organizations to utilize a specific type of algorithm.
* Certification criteria that requires certified EHR technology to perform patient matching demonstrates the ability to generate and provide to end users reports that detail potential duplicate patient records should be considered.
* Build on the initial best practices that emerged during the environmental scan by convening industry stakeholders to consider a more formal structure for establishing best practices for the matching process and data governance.
* Work with the industry to develop best practices and policies to encourage consumers to keep their information current and accurate.
* Work with health care professional associations and the ONC Safety Assurance Factors for EHR Resilience (SAFER) Guide initiative to develop and disseminate educational and training materials detailing best practices for accurately capturing and consistently verifying patient data attributes.
* Continue collaborating with federal agencies and the industry on improving patient identification and matching processes.
A 93-page report, in PDF form, is available here. The findings will inform continued discussions between ONC and stakeholders, particularly the HIT Policy and Standards Committees that advise federal officials. A report on the findings is available here.

Tenet Signs On With CommonWell Interoperability Effort
Tenet Healthcare Corp., with 77 hospitals in 14 states, will use the interoperability services of CommonWell Health Alliance, which seven technology companies formed in early 2013 to cooperate on systems interoperability issues.
Founding members of CommonWell are Allscripts, athenahealth, Cerner, CPSI, Greenway, McKesson and Sunquest, with McKesson’s RelayHealth unit providing the health information exchange platform. These members, according to the alliance, represent 42 percent of the acute care electronic health records market and 23 percent of the ambulatory market.
In December, the vendors announced initial provider organizations in four regions that would roll out early services from the alliance. In Chicago, two group practices with a referring relationship and with privileges at Northwestern Memorial Hospital--multi-specialty Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates and Lake Shore Obstetrics & Gynecology--started to exchange health information using the alliance’s services.
Also, all four Palmetto Health hospitals in Columbia, S.C., participated in data exchange with ambulatory practices Midlands Orthopaedics and Capital City OBGYN. Hospitals also are participating in North Carolina, with Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and Hugh Chatham Family Medicine exchanging data from disparate EHRs in Elkin, and Maria Parham Medical Center sharing information with Premier Women’s Health Professionals in Henderson.
CommonWell has published the services and use case specifications that provide detailed information on the initial core services, standards and workflow. Tenet has signed a letter of intent to become by far the largest provider yet to work with CommonWell. In particular, Tenet will work with the alliance to bring in the next phase of functionality including patient identification and matching, record locator, and document query and retrieval services.

Medical Quack - Allscripts Ends Up With a Loss for 2013 of $104 Million
It’s been tough for Allscripts ever since they underestimated the time to integrate the code from Eclipsys that they acquired in 2010. Basically the 4th quarter was flat and the company is receiving renewals from several clients. imageIntegration and code rewriting has been a main stay around Allscripts for a number of years since they grew by acquiring other technologies. Recently too their former corporate auditor has been charged with inside trading. If things get tight though and outsourcing is needed, you have good old United Healthcare that wants to to the implementation of a new system and more.
United Healthcare (Optum Insight Subsidiary) Wants To Be Your Allscripts, Epic And GE Centricity EHR Consulting Service Starting With Implementation And Beyond
Allscripts Consulting Services
“OptumInsight experts bring significant industry knowledge, solid experience, and Allscripts™ domain expertise to each engagement. Our consultants’ unique skills and practical approaches support efficient, effective, and successful EHR implementation.”
In addition the company had some interesting law suits out there over contract awards a while back. If you go to a Minute Retail Clinic in a CVS store, if not now then soon you will find the “Noctors” or PAs using medical records supplied by Allscripts. So they have a lot out there, just making money is the issue. All the problems seemed to have begun when the company tried to skip around that their code to integrate Eclipsys was not complete…hey does this sound anything like Healthcare.Gov? It was funny as I had analysts asking me about what the deal was back then…I said too much code and not enough time…Chapter 30 of the Attack of the Killer Algorithms below…and cost the CEO his job for lying about code, but nothing like that happened with Healthcare.Gov.
Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Allscripts For Misleading Investors With Merging Data Systems–Too Much Code and Not Enough Time – Attack of the Killer Algorithms Chapter 30
They had to go back and get some help from Microsoft with the merging of Allscripts and Eclypsis.
Allscripts Turns to Microsoft To Expand Their Application Development
In addition there’s also the patent lawsuit from MMRGlobal relative to the Universal Health Record Technologies used and as I understand that is still on going with Walgreens facing the same potential patent violations too relative to the PHR system they use at their retail clinics. I think most of the lawsuits filed over contracts have pretty much gone away and Allscripts has changed course with a new model for client retention. BD
http://ducknetweb.blogspot.com/2013/09/mmrgbobal-mymedicalrecords-files-patent.html
But it still wasn't enough to reach revenue levels from the previous year or to lift the healthcare information technology company out of the red. Allscripts ended 2013 with a net loss of $104 million on revenue of $1.37 billion, down from $1.45 billion in 2012.
Allscripts has struggled in the past few years through a troubled integration of Atlanta-based hospital IT firm Eclipsys Corp., which it acquired in 2010 for $1.3 billion in stock. That, plus a shakeup in management and a failed attempt to sell the company, created what Chief Financial Officer Rick Poulton called a tumultuous time for Allscripts.

Thanks S7, going to take heat for this 1
I told BL 3 to 4 weeks ago that on the main website page when it goes to MMR Pro the "Learn More" link does not work properly.
With that being said ALL, I think he has been working hard to make this company fly, but if this is the NEW sell damn the site has to work.

Pharmacies to Accelerate Patient Data Exchange
Five pharmacy and grocery chains have committed to expanding and accelerating their data exchange capabilities to enable health consumers to download their prescription histories using Blue Button+ technology.
The goal, according to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, is to increase use of standardized methods to structure data for patients in machine-readable formats, enabling consumers to access their data using a variety of computing platforms. Stage 2 electronic health records meaningful use criteria also require eligible professional and hospital use of Blue Button + standards.
The chains committing to move forward or expand current use of Blue Button include Walgreens, Kroger, CVS Caremark, Rite Aid and Safeway. Three pharmacy associations also pledge to push their members to accept the technology: National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Pharmacy Health IT Collaborative and National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations.
