Taking losses is never a great feeling but CMG might be worth looking into again in a month. I would let the dust settle for a bit especially due to the markets down (could be awhile due to recession and Europe worries).
I agree, amen to that!
oh wow...someone get this man a beer asap! lol we've all been there sadly - I was in CROX at $20 and had to cut my loses...still drinking those memories away.
In that case I'll congratulate you when hit the break even point, but definitely a very nice spike today.
I jumped into a few today, so I won't be celebrating anything for awhile.
same for me as well lol

I wouldn't buy in at these levels. I would play the trend for now and get in around the lows since I don't see the rally sustaining for too long.
Damn, FB is onto me. They knew I was going to flip it from the IPO, so they delayed the trading.
Nice play, might join you in a bit on that one after FB. Trading beings in a few min.
LOL Sounds like fun.
Dan will take his 10% commission in cigars and imported beers.
Morning Dan, the great news is that once the market gets flooded back with volume (around end of summer) we're all be sitting nicely. The only dilemma is which ones to buy at these oversold prices.
Didn't get as much FB shares as I'd like in the IPO (you let me down Fidelity).
A slow yet exciting Monday...
Coffee is down 2.3% last time I check so maybe all the caffeinated companies out there is taking a hit? Either that or they all gave up on competing with SBUX lol.
Well my plan among many others is to buy on day one of public trading and sell either end of the same day or the next upon open. I'm thinking at least 20% from the open...maybe if we get lucky 50% like LNKD?
VCLK has good valuation but a little miss on earnings tanks the pps...if I could have gotten near the lows I would have (but woke up late - typical). Let's see if it can drop back down to those levels.
Good news is FB next week. I plan on selling all my assets, donate blood and organs to cash in on it.
That's why you were given two kidneys...one was meant for the IPO.
There's so many tankers today yet not one that's screaming "buy me now"...how ironic lol.
I only played it for the bounce but wouldn't hold it for anything longer than that until the investors know how much of the money is going to consumers. The problem right now is people are now worried that Herbalife is doing something similar to a pyramid scheme where it sells its product at a discount to others who plan on selling it themselves. Also, you have a renowned short-seller who proposed the question (he probably knew this would affect the pps and is shorting it himself). Shorts can take this to low 40's easily.
Crazy! Congrats!
Thanks Dan!
HLF - In at $53 and sold at $58.39
By the way, Facebook show next week with the IPO following the week after.
Hopefully HLF will hit $60 right out the gates. Right now, it hasn't hit it in pre-market yet.
Nice catch by the way - ECOL could yield a 10% flip...I should have jumped into that one also. Why do I always miss the good ones lol
11 cents off the low too...maybe I should have went for that one instead lol.
HLF - In at $53 with a sell target of $60 (will consider lowering it tomorrow though).
...kicking myself for not jumping into that one. I wanted to take a position but I took up something else (forgot which one)...I only made a 2% flip...should have went with TESS lol.
CROX- I'm in it at $20 with a sell target of $22 (10%) for the short term.
FIO - I plan on jumping into this one soon since it shows nice 50% swings. If I don't forget, I'll let all of you know when I take a position (or someone remind me in a week...watching way too many companies right now lol).
I like it for the short term. It shows nice possibility of a 10-15% gain from the current pps.
Also, it received a few upgrades recently:
30-Apr-12 Reiterated Dahlman Rose Buy $122 ? $99
27-Apr-12 Reiterated Barclays Equal Weight $157 ? $125
I've been trading the markets with a few buddies over a group chatroom, but their schedules changed so most of them can't be on anymore lol. Which means I'm back on ihub sharing ideas/thoughts.
Blackberry 10 prototype coming out. A lot of the analyst don't like the stock but that doesn't mean you can't play the dips. There could be a nice pop if the protype gets a good review.
Broadcam (BRCM) to report earnings after hours today. I have no interest in taking a position on this one.
