He will likely need Reza's services
So much for the anticipated ACA storm but the one outside surely makes up for it. Even the dog cut his walk short, which is a first. Just ugly out there!
I knew I should have gone to the beer store yesterday
Good morning
ACA.T had news last night. Pre-open looks like it will be in play today.
I'm already done playing. My thanks to Algoma for looking after most of the Christmas gift tab <vbg>
Hawk, you wondered about STE ...
Algoma decided to get into the "game"
My pet, VRS.T, maybe one or the watch list tomorrow ... ???
Went from 3.50 to 5.00 in the last few weeks based on good news and anticipation of financials which will be out tomorrow before open. It should bounce if financials meet or exceed expectations.
Paradigm put out a 12.50 12 months target Nov 03 and has since bought 800,000 shares.
Hawk, who really knows? All second hand information.
The burst of the tech bubble killed many in more ways than one. It wasn't the first bubble and it won't be the last.
Ah heck, time to take the dog for a walk. Maybe I'll run into the power walker ... ???
Techno ... Wasn't 1999 or 2000. It was 2002.
Just shows you how time flies for the "not so young crowd".
Sorry, now I have a question on ACE:
Do I need to buy it for each computer (3) or can I buy it once and install it on all puters?
Re. Norton & AVG – Thanks Gottfried and Renshen
One follow up question:
I should have mentioned that I run Norton System Works, not just Norton AV. Should I uninstall Norton completely or just Norton AV & Live Update before installing AVG?
Thanks again,
kidl
Hi everyone. I have 3 computers at home. Norton AV has expired on all 3 recently. Do I need to renew the 3 subscriptions or can I get the same or better protection with free programs?
Regards,
kidl
One of those per week ... ???
Heck, one of those per month would keep me perfectly happy.
Algoma (AGA) should be in play today based on ...

I'm just not gutsy enough to invite something like IEX for a sleep-over. I hate the thought of it departing in the middle of the night with my valet. Hourly rentals while awake is all I can handle. LOL
Bowels are just fine now. Out with a nice 10% 3 hour gain.
VRS.T ... Nice quick run from mid 3's to low 4's on good volume. A lot of crosses at 4.25 today. Rumblings of a major contract.
Company NR today: No news (yet)
I am in for more at 4.25. Probably not a DT.
May have gone from fool to mega fool. Doubled down IEX at .68
Me fool #3. Also in at .74
Bring on the bounce ... Pleeease
Keep an eye on CRY.T tomorrow. It might just keep going.
ADE: Huge wall at 3.60 (50,000 shares).
Support at 3.50 (38,000 shares)
ADE: 3.55/3.60 on 63,000
What do you need Sam?
Swami ... Since you like HBC ...
Sears (SCC.T) might come into play as a result of the Sears Roebuck / Kmart merger since Sears Roebuck and Hoffman (Kmart) hold 54% of Sears Canada?

Stelco should be "entertaining" in the next few days
Thanks Dany

So, it's really the closing price which counts?
Quick OT question:
Is it true that a stock must trade above $3 to be marginable on the TSX?
If so, what happens if the price drops below $3? Does it prompt an immediate margin call or is it the closing price which counts?
TIA

COB.A: Amazing reaction to the news.
Did you catch it at the open?
Has anyone tried the new Google desktop search?
If so, any comments?
Sounds good based on this:

Back into IVAN at 2.76 (half load)
Edit: 2.77
"Guys", keep your eye on T.CSG. It's like the energizer bunny at reduced speed but it does keep going and going and going.
Sold the last of my IVAN (2.90ish) hoping that it will bounce off the $3.
I want it back around 2.75. Wishful thinking?
V.PRD ... Watch this in conjunction with V.IFR. IFR has more upside IMO
Also known as iron gut. I lost that when I was "Laid low" a while back. LOL
My gosh, did I blow it on Stelco or did I blow it? Left an easy 15% on the table in 2 days. Trading chapter 11 companies just isn't for me.
At least T.CSG is working out as planned. Thanks for your input M666.
Out of STE.A at 1.20. Momo gone. Made a few pennies. Nice change. LOL
M666: UTS.T move likely due to this ...

Playing Stelco today. I must be crazy. LOL
Thanks M666 and since you are around ...
I am still looking to buy more T.VRS. A while back you called $3.60 an entry point. It's slightly below that now.
I am sort of eying $3. Reasonable or wishful thinking?

M666 - Me again ...
Could you have a quick peek at T.CSG?
I am sitting on a nice 50% gain and can't decide what to do.
My lowly TA skills tell me to wait.
TIA
