Just caught up on all the posts for today... Big news!
Congrats to all the believers! And "yeah" to lehlq for leading the charge for once.
Wish I had more money to buy cts :(
Does this mean obs shares may also be relisted?? That would give me a heart attack lol...
Wow! What's going on?.
Yes, we know for sure
That "satisfied in full" will ultimately benefit the controlling parties, whomever they may be.
Buckle up,
2016 here we come lol
It may be huge news...
But it's not definitively for us imo. If it were, trust that the cts pps and volumes would have jumped a lot more substantially with conviction.
The wait continues... Glta
The quiet before
The mega-storm has been a bit longer then expected :)
We are not out of the woods by any means imo...
You just might be happy that you didn't get in ... Hopefully we'll see soon and the long wait will reward our patience.. I have huge (from my point of view) stake in commons and preferreds. Could change my life if there's owner's equity at the end of this long journey.
I can buy a bit more of the cts
But my cash is low - got clobbered shorting persistently last three weeks.
I hope cts get paid in full... Means we just might see pigs fly (I.e. equity getting moola in this bk)
Glta
Cool, that looks like a lot of money
Maybe equity will get a slice :)
My Ls are up today... What's happening?
Anything interesting?
I don't know why but I think there are a lot of
The same people trading wamu and leh shares.
My guess is:
Cotton = coachtequila (mind you coach was great at due diligence imo!). Should have sold when he or she said time to vamoose.
Ld = diamond_guru (their writing style are similar ex the goober comments)
Wamugold = wamugold :)
Bizreader = bizreader :)
Daisy = daisy lol
Just having some fun, you know who u r ;)
Your posting reminds me of diamond_guru of the wamuq board
Diamond had a slogan he'd rattle off once every couple of days on that board. Something like "2 x Value ...."
Any relation? :)
Cts pps...
Three months down to < $.10/share and then three months back up to $.40/share in anticipation for Jan 2014, imo. Of course the estate will request another extension at that time - guess what peck will decide?
May have chance to get some cheapies next several months... Get to hear heckling from wamugold and ines.
Based on what's happened so far, estate isn't trying to turn us (the little folks) into millionaires. Back room deals are keeping the money in within their small circle.
Glta, patience will be tested and early Christmas unlikely this year I'd say.
Litmus test:
If the stay is granted for another 6 months later today and the cts pps does not fall any further, but starts to slowly rise, then I feel we may be close to the finish line (good or bad not sure, but the verdict will be announced)
Glta
Why ask for a 6-months extension then?
Assuming the por will be closing out in 11 weeks.
Trust me, they are that good.
If they wanted to, they could pay out the CTs in full to all holders excluding the individuals chatting on the IHub lehnq message board.
The "6 months" is in bold,
Personally I'm more worried about the clause after the comma. "Without prejudice to their ability to request further extensions."
If stay extension granted for 6 months, pps plunge likely imo. Stay sharp to snag some inexpensive shares on decent volume with another gradual pps walk-up to new highs come earlier 2014. (Of course estate will file another stay extensive next year and the cycle will repeat - ugh!)
How about my commons and preferreds?! Let's get these cts squared away and get to the juicy part! :)
I don't think the timing of this issue being revisited now is ideal,
Much better if the por were paid in full. Have a feeling that the stay will continue and put downward pressure on cts pps, imo. May be a buying opportunity however - cheapies! come and get 'em!
They are too busy calculating their
Year-end bonuses and vacation planning after landing 31% bump in quarterly profits.
I was and still am shortening spwr... The pain...
Remember to bring a lot of SPF 80 sunblock when shortening solar stocks lol
JPM reports 31% rise in profits and is trading at historic high (current $55/share)
I wonder how Lehman would be doing if they secured tarp from US treasury rather than declare bk?
Would leh commons be at $80/share and preferreds and cts chugging along paying dividends? But to be fair, I probably would have no shares of any of these - lol.
Glta
P.s. still fishing for some cheap CTs shares under $.20... Might be tough though, my prediction about the broader market pulling back doesn't look likely now and got clobbered shorting for the first time.
Think your reasoning is sound...
The big "but" is are we represented at the table? Has the guarantor of cts take action to communicate to the estate to pay up? Moreover, has the guarantor done this publicly or officially so as to reduce the chance of discrete back-room settlements with extreme bias.
It seems to be a case of the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Is what we are holding making any noise? Are we even viewed as an essential wheel?
I have.an uneasy feeling at this time about the "quietness" about our specific positions in this cutthroat game - we're hoping for the magician to pull a rabbit out of his top hat and give it to us naive starry-eyed kids to take home and play with after the fourth por payment transpires. Imo, there is some likelihood that the stage curtains simply close before any rabbit trick takes place and we the little hopeful kids are left dismayed and let down, left to exchange messages of disappointment and consolation on IHub.
"Possible" is not good enough to get someone to drop claim imo
More likely a back room deal to maintain appearance that the estate is gaunt and without means so as to stay under the radar of creditors that would otherwise settle for less. However, note that the number and amount of the claims filed are probably exaggerated too to apply pressure and position oneself at the negotiation tables for compromise.
Nice, my Ls are up today :)
Hmm, no bites on my $.10 bid? Someone here is going to flinch. Lol
Happy 4th of July
Wish we were all together in Vegas having barbecue on rooftop of the Bellagio!
The reason imo cts are dropping
Is because they overextended themselves over the last several months in anticipation of early por exit and a bit of speculation as to whether dividends, deferred or future, would be paid to cts holders.
The answers have been unclear to these two critical issues; meanwhile cts pps has factored in decent outcomes up to one week ago.
For the cts pps to climb relentlessly to FV + deferred divvies when we remain in the dark is highly improbable. As such, after a very respectable climb from $.04 to $.40 over a 12 month period to date, speculators are lowering their premium priced bids and taking a more rationale outlook at least in the interim. At least I am :)
Moreover, I personally think we are entering a mini bear market; expecting the Dow and Nasdaq to pull back 10% over next 6 months. That's going to cause drag on securities rather broadly; leh cts will not be an exception in my opinion unless some super positive announcement is made by the estate within next 30 days. Otherwise, back to $.10, even if volumes are minuscule and trading is choppy.
You still have shares? I thought you sold at $.15?
What price are you hoping to buy back? I will set my bids 1% higher than yours lol
I'm pulling back my bids to $.10; cts headed south probably
Until some definitive (and favorable for cts) is formally announced imo.
I think buying opportunities under $.1, though in low volume may be probable over next couple weeks...

. Bash bash! :)
What's shaking?
Looks like a pull back... Good time to buy or has unfavorable news surfaced?
Tia
Remember that class actions can
Also be settled... Don't necessarily need to go to court.
Where's Will Gardner and Diane Lockhart when you need them?
Or perhaps the question is
Has this already occurred...? Lol (bitterly)
Thanks!
This makes a lot of sense...
Or did the cessation of cts interest payments begin a quarter or two before the declaration of bankruptcy? Does anyone here know for certain?
Got a feeling there's going to be continued downward pressure
On the broader market. If the cts can simply hold these current price levels during such a retracement, it would be an accomplishment and be a sign that even greener pastures are in the horizon. (Imo)
Though I have my fingers crossed for a positive leh surprise, I personally wouldn't buy at these current cts price levels when other trading opportunities may be presenting themselves shortly assuming that market volatility persists.
Glta!
I think some board members believe that the 21st payment
Marks the deadline before default. Not sure if I belong to this group.
Question I have is can we conclude that accumulated interest on cts due will not or never be paid if no interest payment is made by the 22nd payment date?
We just don't know that they actually
Have a written, formal, internal document that is black and white to treat this like a hot potato.
How does a pull back in the broader market affect us?
Should we be worried?
With this recent hearsay on the board coupled with rise in pps, we are acting like the baby girl
In the movie the kroods, foaming at the mouth and darting around as if we each chugged a 24-can case of red bull.
Loud chanting in the background: "Past dividends now! $9 per share! full face value now! $25 per share! Big yacht - long yacht - fast yacht! To da moon - back to earth - then to the moon again!"
Meanwhile, IHub administrators ready their tranquilizer guns to sedate baby neanderthals that start biting each other.
Coming on?
I think you're mistaken, the big screw has been wedged in there for many years - we're now speculating if someone has the intention of removing it...
