No need to reply. Remembered that info was in the share holder letter.
I'm curious. What is this 2.5 million in funding you are referring to?
Universal displays(OLED) current PE Ratio (TTM) is 104.09!
Current SP at $124.80. Market cap is close to 6 Billion!
Jamis did some guesstimating on QMC's SP with some revenue calculations but I believe he was calculating with a very conservative PE of 10. Jamis, do you have any of that info and could you revise with a PE factor similar to UDC?
I know the naysayers will cry foul and say how dare we speculate BUT this is why I invested, the potential here is explosive with all the vertical industries quantum dots will be utilized in. Just something to pass the time with while we wait for news.
Cheers
I'll "dumb" it down for you then, the Quantum dot industry has far more applications than just displays unlike OLED. There you get it now?
Nanoparticles
QMC is developing highly uniform nanoparticles and nanocrystals in the nanoscale for applications requiring a high degree of accuracy.
Solar Cells
QMC provides quantum dots for its thin-film solar cell. Through unique photonic behavior, the quantum dots enable conversion efficiencies that are simply not possible with conventional silicon solar cells.
Nanobio
Quantum Dots will improve both speed and accuracy of diagnostic assays, improve molecular imaging, and facilitate multiplexing drug delivery platforms.
QD LED
The mass production of QD LED will revolutionize Solid State Lighting with the brightest yet most efficient and low cost white light systems.
Displays
QMC offers a unique solution for display systems, providing both superior light and color performance, while simultaneously reducing manufacturing and operating costs and significantly improving energy efficiency.
Batteries
Quantum Dot Ultracapacitor and Electron Batteries can increase power performance and rapid charging abilities.
QD Inks
Quantum Dot inks have uses in conductive and security inks, paints, printed electronics – sensors, RFID, nanoantennas, and solar cells, by surface deposition and inkjet roll-to-roll printing mass production.
QD Computing
Someday the electron moving capabilities of quantum dots will be used in a future generation of quantum computers to dramatically increase processing speed and memory storage.
But you are so great at uncovering the truth!.. why don't you find the pictures yourself? Weren't you the one that claimed QMC had no presence at SID? Maybe call Nathan Stott for more great info.
Exactly.. if anything QMC has made further progress since his suddenly flip to negativity.. only conclusion is he sold and is now trying to get back in cheap.
Huh? So you agree that it's not some random list pulled out of thin air. That the list is based on companies they are in discussion with. And also that they actual DID have a presence at SID.
Those were some pretty specific names on the screen.. why wouldn't they just list every display manufacturer on the planet if they were naming potential customers.. think about it..
Wrong.. it's says "Partners and potential customers" they could easily be under a NDA and not able to announce it formerly. Glass half full here. Didn't you say recently QMC had no presence and SID? Looks like you were wrong there too.
I don't believe QMC would list these companies by name unless a substantial amount of dialogue had taken place. It wouldn't be looked upon very favourably displaying company names like DOW at a public forum like Display Week.
From Clays report..
"the Company is in discussions with a number of prospective customers and component manufacturers (they displayed a short list of these names in one of the slides below during the show and also disclosed they are in discussions with BOE, one of China's largest and most progressive display makers in their most recent corporate update, link below) and is pushing very hard at this time to reach that date as soon as possible"
Great write up by Clay. Partner list is impressive. Nanoco investors will be in panic mode when they see the slides..DOW!
Nanoco would be crowing from the rooftops if they had a hand in this. Nanoco is in trouble IMO. Good luck with it.
Greatly appreciate the time and effort you went to in attending and reporting your findings. Looks good to me!
I agree. I sent him a message expressing my disappoint.
The Freschfield news came out of left field. No one was expecting anything significant to come from the solar side until revenues began to flow from the display market. I'll take this at face value and consider it a bonus surprise development. Im expecting news on the dislay front on or before dislay week next month. Glass half full here!

Huh? Of course it involves QMC? Once again.. did you read the PR today?
I'm thinking we have news on the display front on or before display week next month which will include an update on the Chinese. I'm sure the Chinese would be interested in Freschfield's technology.
Exciting to see advancement in the solar/energy market. Sky's the limit IMO.
Projecting $1.6 billion in revenue in 2017. They must have some construction projects starting this year.
https://www.ff360.org/
Did you read the PR at all? They are estimating 1.6 BILLION in sales.. I don't think QMC will need the share increase for lab funding.. give me a break.
Sounds like the perfect application for tetrapod quantum dots
Energy producing
in low and no visible light conditions..
Product will sell itself with highlights like this...
60% less costly
than traditional building materials and installation, provide energy-saving rebates, tax credits and government financial incentives.
More efficient
than solar panels. Smartskinz harvest energy where and when solar panels do not.
More durable
than steel and less dense than aluminium, self-performing building skins.
Energy producing
in low and no visible light conditions.
Boom Jamis...you already did all the DD lol.. thanks mate!
Lead architect for Freschfield.. these guys are big players!!

Awesome news!
Nice find...
I like this part.
"high volume supply of high performance & high stability Blue QD"
I agree, hope to hear specs in the near future and that they were made by the flow reactors.
Competitors can make high performance cad free but do they degrade over time and can they make bulk amounts with consistency and cost effectiveness.
I don't believe Samsung has the cost to where they need it as witnessed by the pricing on their newest models of QLED TV's.
Nanoco are obviously having trouble with scaling, degradation or cost otherwise they would have orders by now
The key to mass market in display is a TV below $2000. Qdots by QMC flow process is the key.
Danny, sorry to hear of Jan's passing. My heart goes out to his family.
Bridge financing until revenues start to flow. Looks good!
And so? Still relevant. How's Nanoco working out for you and your group?
From BOE Technology Q&A on their website...(bottom of page)
http://www.boe.com/portal/en/chuangxinkeji/kejizhihu/peck.html
A: QLED stands for “Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diode”. It has quantum film and its light-emitting layer is made of quantum dots instead of
phosphor as in conventional LED.
A quantum dot is a nanocrystal made of semiconductor materials. When exposed to visible light or electric currents, it emits bright visible light of pure color spectrum. Quantum dots made of different materials emit different light. According to the range of fluorescence absorption, they can be divided into red-light-emitting, blue-light-emitting, and green-light-emitting quantum dots.
For QLED, blue light is used to excite quantum dots so that they emit red and green light; the efficiency of light emitting can be enhanced by 30-40%. QLED displays have such strengths as pure colors, great stability, less use of electricity, low cost, and wide application, but there are also
problems, including manufacturing process yet to mature, life cycle yet to be prolonged, and environmental impacts.
Yes couldn't agree more on the significance of BOE AMQLED news. I'm surprised so few people commented on this development. OLED could be in for a rude awakening.
Hopefully this puts to rest some of the angst regarding the OS raise. Just because the request is for 750 Million doesn't mean it will be all used! "we want the company to be in a position to be able to react to any opportunities to make strategic acquisitions"
Further, with regard to our recent proxy filing, we have kept our promise and omitted the requirement to authorize preferred shares (blank check preferred) re-incorporation in Delaware and a disproportionate reverse split. We have requested to increase the outstanding authorized to 750,000,000. I keenly understand that this number may be cause for pause, and I want to be clear that we remain sensitive to dilution concerns. For our strategic vision, we want the company to be in a position to be able to react to any opportunities to make strategic acquisitions.
Do you think QMC can just throw out BOE's name without there being something serious going on? They obviously had permission to use BOE's name in this letter. That tells me a lot about the state of their "discussions"!
As an example, the Company is presently engaged in discussions with China-based BOE Technology Group as they, like many electronics groups in the market are actively exploring the potential of improving their LCD displays via the utilization of quantum dot technology. While we will continue to look forward for technology development, we are confident that the current generation of film developed with our film partners will be of a specification level that will meet or exceed the engineering parameters that we have been given by BOE, as they continue to expand the display market with tremendous resources.
Your statement "I was very excited about Nitto Denko as well, but that turned out to be nothing"
You have any proof this is now nothing? Thought not!
Company is now working with five separate film groups to complete commercial quality, quantum dot film products. Our goal in doing this is not only to produce film components that meet or exceed the quality of our competitors, but to make these components available at a price point that to date has not been available in the market
We are now producing both red and green cadmium-free quantum dots using our high-volume reactors that meet a very high specification level in terms of quantum yield and full width half max values.
I don't see the reason for the negativity?. Lots of positive information in the shareholder update. Funny how a lot of the naysayers are absent from commenting. I guess they must all be huddled together looking for punctuation errors..LOL
Since the re-commissioning of these two reactors we have made significant progress in optimizing our quantum dot materials for enabling wide color gamut (rich, deep color) properties in flat panel displays. In addition to this optimization progress, our in-house technical team has discovered a number of novel lab techniques to further improve the overall performance of our quantum dot materials. During the coming months we will be investing more to secure our intellectual property as we strive to convert these discoveries into new potential patents in order to expand the Company's significant l.P. portfolio.
Another unique benefit of our patented process is its ability to accelerate development. Recently, our team accomplished over 100 different optimization reactions in a single day. To put this into perspective, it could take months to accomplish these reactions using a batch process. As the interest level expands for the use of quantum dots utilized in the fixed display industry, our business development group has been recently responding to inquiries from a number of new prospective groups including top tier OEM's in the hand held industry.
Oh baby! I like it.... BOE!!!
Very interesting article! Suprised no one is commenting.
