I am buying this morning. I put on my Hemi cap, sucked in my gut and bought. If someone is willing to sell at this ridiculous price, I am buying. I can't get all that I want at .12
Goodbye fear, hello profit.
I remember when IDCC was a screaming buy. Now, I am just screaming. I don't know why those brilliant hedge fund managers or LBO artists aren't buying this bargain. They could put in their own managements and use the cash and expected windfalls from Samsung and all the other deadbeats to finance their CMO's and other debts. IDCC management has failed to deliver.
Is there anything more to say.
HMGP moved up one cent on 140 shares. Does that signify a lack of supply or is that MM manipulation. Any ideas from the board?
Is there any similarity between messages on this board and Nero fiddling while Rome burned?
Is the depressed stock price due to disillusioned longs or short sellers?
Finally, if management believes our stock is undervalued, how about a buyback?
Any answers to these or other questions are welcome.
Many years ago, Harry was insulted when asked about the low stock price. His retort was he was very conscious of the stock price because he also was a stockholder. It seems that the technical experts, learned members of the bar, and IDCC management are too preoccupied to pay attention to such a pedestrian matter. I can't help wondering what all these people are thinking after years and years of undervaluation of a "growth stock". Wait until next year?
If I buy HMGP through Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard can I be sure that I own real HMGP shares and not air shares from a Market Maker? How can we be sure?
I bought today at .15 and went to lunch. When I returned we were back to .14. I am trying to get there but I need some help.
I was filled at .15. I am wearing my Hemi hat again.
Wirog: me too. Do we have to bid .15?
I am bidding .14 with no result. Have they raised it to .145?
What is the bid asked now?
TIA
Sale end today. Following lowman's advice, this is your last chance to sell at the bottom. Don't wait, sell now.
I will buy because I can't resist a sale. I am putty in your hands.
Selling occurs after every press release. None of the releases contain negative news. I smell a rat. It appears to be a way to preempt any rally and encourage selling. HMGP is so cheap that the buyers are stealing the stock. The total value of HMGP is $7,000,000. I believe that the existing stockholders are trying to hold on but some may sell under pressure.
I can't resist a bargain and hope that other bargain hunters are buying.

After Market Close Small Volume Transactions Do Not Properly Represent Close
Author: Jim Sinclair
Dear CIGAs,
There is a new trick on the trading block. Now in order to benefit the short side of a situation, a small amount of shares are traded after the close, in some cases BELOW the range of the entire trading day. This tends to skew charts, certainly candlesticks which are quite sensitive to open and close direction. It also speaks of desperation as it is a child's game that depends on trades generally ranging from $1000 to $10,000, which in markets is really nothing.
In order to know the close on any situation which is on a listed exchange, look at the close on the exchange where it was traded.
Total value of HMGP is $6,750,000 at $.15 a share. I assume that means there is no oil, no gas, no leases, no equipment, no workers, and no prospects. The geniuses who are selling stand to make a total of $6,750,000 by poormouthing and driving HMGP to 0.
The optimists, may the lord have mercy on their souls, believe that HMGP is worth $45 million at $1.00 a share. I have to belive that Keith will only sell out for a great deal more.
Do you like these odds?
Strategic plan. There is a tiny flaw in the MM strategy. Oil & gas are essential commodities. Domestic supplies are the most valuable in an uncertain and increasingly dangerous world. Do you want to own oil in Saudi Arabia , Venezuela or Kansas. I love stripper wells in Kansas. Remember the tortoise and the hare. We own the slow steady mover. Courage and best wishes to all.
What are the limits to naked short selling? A serious question!
If I place an order to buy 100,000 shares, at $.15-.17, will they be created out of the blue? Suppose I want 1 million?
5 million? Will they raise the price to fill my order and then drop the price withe naked shorts?
It seems to me that this threatens the whole idea of a market for securities.
I would appreciate some help from any knowledgeable investor.
Wilshire didn't just want to sweeten the deal. They wanted to steal a major interest in the company. (25%) I could understand options to acquire shares at $1 and $2 in order to participate in the growth of HMGP while they advance the money to accelerate growth. If they surprised Keith with the demand for 25% of the company, I would assume that he was ticked off.
I am amazed by the messages saying that their demand was not shocking and just business as usual. You guys are mighty tough hombres.
I am glad I don't need to borrow any money from you.
As for Wilshire, I wouldn't trust them.
I hope that Keith has an ace up his sleeve and a loaded six-gun.
Hasta la vista, baby.
The buying support in the region of $.17 is impressive. I am completely mystified by who is selling at these prices. I would expect shorts to cover here and not continue to sell. This is frustrating because it doesn't make sense.
What was the story when Wilshire wanted to speak to major HMGP stockholders and get them to open a brokerage account and deposit their HMGP shares with them? I never spoke with them so I never got the details. Now that we know they wanted a 25% interest in the company, what were they trying to do? Would they have tried to get control? Was it smoke that they would help get HMGP on the Amex? I would appreciate any clarification.
I believe that they held out a big carrot to Keith and obtained a great deal of inside information without disclosing their intentions. They sound like a very slippery bunch who may be behind the short selling with the intention to cover with the new shares they tried to obtain.
Any new insight would be appreciated. TIA
Badge714, I followed your advice and got filled at .195.
Thank you for your bullish recommendation
Badge 714, I am trying to buy HMGP at $.19 but I can't get the order filled. What do you suggest?
Badge 714, It is no longer a fact because I am buying today.
Data: Isn't there even one teensy weensy bit of Interdigital technology in this Nokia wonder product?
$.195 is a great buy for anyone, but who is the depressed psychotic that is selling? I can't believe they feel better now. I hope they won't be suicidal by yearend. Send us a message if you need counseling.
Hubbabubba,
If there are approximately 18 million shares in the hands of committed long term holders out of a float of 20 million share, what would be the effect if everyone increased their holdings by 10%? Would this be a bad thing for some professionals and a good thing for amateurs?
I don't make recommendations.
I would be interested in any comments from members of this board. TIA
WW: Does any of this exciting stuff mean anything for IDCC?
I expect Nokia to reply that they are not using the two Interdigital patents in question. Furthermore, these patents are not essential and even if Nokia used these patents, they are not valid.
Although I didn't attend law school, I believe this will be the core of the response to the Interdigital claims filed with the ITC. Nokia will pay enormous fees to a prestigious law firm that will mirror this message.
I am disappointed that Moro could not get Abbott to make a positive statement about RECAF development. That would have given the stock a boost and lowered the cost of raising capital.
ABT is a lousy development partner in my opinion. What do you think?
m3s, the arbitration is a joke. If Samsung loses, why not start a fourth round?
What would happen if the board members bought 2 million shares?
Would ths panic the shorts or can the Market makers sell short all these shares. I would consider selling my XOM, ATT, and IBM to buy a lot more HMGP. Would you?
Please help me to understand why HMGP is trading at $.155. We are bullish and have been buyers as the stock has declined. Who is selling to us? The short sellers should be trying to cover and buy at these prices. I find it hard to believe that they are still selling and hoping to cover at lower prices.
It would be madness for them to try to cover a large short position as the price rises on the positive developments that take place over the next few months.
Finally, wouldn't Jesup & Lamont recommend HMGP to their customers at these deeply discounted prices as a high potential low risk speculation? Million of shares from this source would force the shorts to cover and force the stock to rise dramatically.
I would appreciate any comments. TIA
Just in case you thought the talk about illegal shorts was hot air.
Gemini Explorations Inc. Reports Illegal Naked Short Interest Position and Restates Total Number of Issued and Outstanding Shares Reduced to 32,500,000
2007-06-07 12:10 ET - News Release
MIAMI, FL -- (MARKETWIRE) -- 06/07/07
Gemini Explorations Inc. ("Gemini") (OTCBB: GMXP) reports that after reviewing the company's stock with an independent analyst, there is an illegal naked short interest position of approximately 3.5 to 4 million shares in GMXP. This is in very sharp contrast to the OTCBB.com report showing the short interest to be 23,972 shares as of May 31, 2007.
NASD Rule 3360 has been expanded to require NASD member firms to report their short positions on all over-the counter ("OTC") equity securities to NASD Regulation, on a monthly basis. Once the short position reports are received, the short interest is then compiled for each OTC security.
Firms are required to report their short positions as of settlement on the 15th of each month, or the preceding business day if the 15th is not a business day. The reports must be filed by the second business day after the reporting settlement date. The short interest data is compiled and provided for publication on the 8th business day after the reporting settlement date.
Great News! Abbott acknowledges that they were making progress on RECAF and now GE will take over. Finally, our patience will pay off.
"It was never my thinking that made big money for me. It was my sitting...Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon. I found it one of the hardest things to learn. But it is only after this that a stock operator can make big money."
Jesse Livermore
Great message for all of us
Big Mur, Is it possible, that TDA can't be sure they can trust the MM's to deliver stock they buy for their customers? This is beyond my understanding but Jesup and Lamont should be able to clear it up through Wilshire. There were buyers at the close. Next week could be very big for us.
revlis, thank you, but is Infineo the whole story?
iPhone appears to be the the revolutionary mobile telecommunication product that will change the landscape. I have missed the messages that outline how IDCC will benefit immediately and in the 3G future. The stock does not indicate that IDCC will benefit greatly. I hope that Apple and ATT are not building their futures on Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, and Ericsson unlicensed quicksand.
Is there any indication that a more aggressive IDCC will seek injunctions against non-licensees and turn the iPhone into a disaster for Apple and ATT?
TIA
Investment advice. An investment in HMGP of $23,000 will buy 100,000 shares today. A small group of investors, with moderate means, can rapidly drive up the stock price. There is significant profit potential with very little downside risk.
I don't believe the short sellers can impede this rise.
Remi, Thank you.
