this has got to be one of the most active gray sheets ever
ya my guess is both sides are going to take a while to execute.
I had my order in from the open and it took almost 4 mins to execute... and mind you I was way below where some of the trades were going off at.
(my sells were below the prices printing that is...)
has anyone had a trade go through yet?
I just sold my remaining shares at .025
I had a limit price sell for .0199 but it went through at .025
Yuck...
I'd love to see this through, and I'd love to have it work out...
But one of the things I said from day one this was a battle btw the company and the shorts... and frankly I don't care if there are shorts or not... but imho the company is not winning...
I don't think anyone can know why all of the events have taken place such as the SEC investigation, D&T leaving, ect... but imo things have gotten out of the companies hands...
so... I don't see much hope...
I honestly feel there is some good things, but the doubt, the fear imho is taken over... and it's gotten to the point where even if it is a real company even if the company has done nothing wrong... they are in such a hole I kinda doubt they will get out...
ha with my luck I'd sell and then there would be a good pr lmao
things have just got a little to hot for me to handle...
Going to be throwing in the towel tmr on the rest of my shares.
Who wants my shares??? and what are you going to be willing to pay for them?
Has Doug said he's going to be buying?

Does not want to get below my 25.5 level... ha I guess too many are looking to do the same thing.
I have a buy in under 25.5
one at 25.25
and one at 25
however I kinda doubt my bids will get hit...
err i wish I had picked up more of this back in the 49's
oh well...
looking nice here here on the weekly chart... daily chart I'd love to see come back down once more... but who knows if we get that or not...
if we do get any pull backs i'll be picking up shares.
still looking for anything under 25.5 here not sure that I'm going to get it though....
Market is looking interesting for stocks like this...
the bar is set too high for the tech companies... and people are looking for performance...
can names that have run so far continue to run? or will people look to names such as WMT that haven't had major runs to get performance...
time will tell

wtf?
great way to make your day better when it is raining and cold out..
we shall see what comes... I'm optimistic but hardly think it's guaranteed...
Nothing is that easy... and if it is you have to be very very weary... imho as it is going to be very high risk...
ha well as for the US. Yes I hear your concerns but don't think they apply here imho
The issue I see is possible bankruptcies in the sector... and investing you\I will have to avoid those...
We shall see... but I think over the next 10 years there is going to be huge growth over the rest of the world... and which will likely demand higher prices for the DBI
then if you think that inflation is to come commodity prices will be going up as well...
anyways this is attractive as a long term risky play imho some of these have chances in that time period to get back to at least half way to their highs... so for DRYS if we could see 60 dollars a share that could be a HUGE return... but who knows... and it is going to be very slow, and kinda risky that they and or others don't go bankrupt first..
ha you are much wiser than I am when it comes to this... most likely...
But I just think that the growth in the emerging markets is going to continue to push demand for these ships...
China
India
Brazil
Africa?
And note that there is likely not going to be the growth of the US... I mean at the same rate as we had prior...
Where is money going to go??? Do you want to leave it in the US or Europe and grow at what maybe 1-3% or do you want to put it into countries that have 6-8% growth maybe more... which is going to thus push for demand of these companies imo
This is my 10 year play... not in yet.. but may pick up about 1000 shares of various different dry bulk companies and ride the global growth story... I can do that for only about 5-10 grand and the upside if in the next 10 years continues to grow is huge... where as my downside risk is only the 5-10 grand
I'm just looking for an entry...
ha yes they do...
the issue that is keeping us from a huge bounce back is the possibility of increase in the overall industry\fleet of 15% imo
http://www.investmentu.com/IUEL/2009/October/the-baltic-dry-index-and-global-economic-health.html
but one has to ask, will growth around the world stop? will it grind to a halt? or will it return to where it once was or even half of what it once was... or possibly even increase? Africa hasn't even started to grow...
if it does... this increase in supply to the industry should not matter much... I mean if you assume DRYS is worth 60 in the next few years, if the demand goes back to where it was say in april of 2008 a 15% cut would be $51
it's a very interesting long term play... (that's if we get a global recovery... which appears to be taking place.. )
ha we shall see.
I think it's a much more complex issue as meets the eye...
just watch and see what happens here...
Joe,
their clients are all shopping around right now. There aren't enough other companies who can take in their clients even if they want to.
If they go bankrupt and their ratings go down, clients will leave period (the good clients that is)... and that will further hurt the company...
then the company will get worse... and it will create a snow ball effect.. They won't be able to continue...
Then the clients who can't find new companies will end up going out of business...
I'd say at this point there is about a 50\50 chance of this all happening...
but none the less it is very scary to think about...
PS. you understand what they do correct?
Stop banging your head... it's not going to get yourself anywhere...
what's important is what happens to our economy because of this...
if this company fails their clients (of which they have a lot) are going to have to go to other companies...
those companies can not take on all of CIT's clients...
remember AIG??? same kinda situation here...
our economy could take a nice hit a lot of good companies could fail because this fails... or if this fails...
and further it could cause a snow ball effect
