Jabba, I don't have a problem w legal shorts or the fact that some website shows the legal shorting positions. Gee wouldn't it be nice if there were a website showing naked illegal shorting... :) if you think its not happening or at least the possibility it could happen with any stock....??? The SEC says its happening...right now with many stocks. I respectfully disagree with your assessment...
richard, as i understand it, shorting legal (perhaps dirty) naked shorting (illegal; definately dirty); all done by market makers; they are in charge in a big way...
jtf
RDG, i'm ok w you not buying into it, but I'm one who does based on some very compelling DD I've done. Can you buy into at least the possibility?? SEC publicly states it occurs and especially with pinks....
jtf
Blue, settled; but you already knew that...??
jtf
I haven't seen actual doc's but per company; all permits are in place, valid and current. Land ownership is mostly private, but some public, state trust land. All lands will require a small royality of 1-3%
jtf
Or 3) maybe WB is under investigation and Tina Marie is too (maybe by default). Maybe shareholders complained about this and perceived mis-information they have received by above mentioned and filed a complaint. Thus, CPRK makes it clear they have NO association with above mentioned to prevent something bad from happending to the stock??? maybe...
One things for sure, in Jan08/Feb08 I personally received information from WB/Alexander Lindale that later turned out to be definately mis-information.
jtf
Web, small correction; they didn't pay it off; just a re-negotciation for anthor year. I personally know of some of the bridge loan people; they are committed and excited about the project thus the extention. Hopefully LT financing (long shot) and/or production w cash flow will eventually take care of this.
jtf
RDG, this could probably be the first mis-step (if it even is) in the history of publicly traded companies and capitalism.... did this PR change anything to do with the assets of the company? for those supporters and longs...lets not take our eye off the ball...
jtf
Tina, respectfully ALEXANDER LINDALE = WILM BLUM; whether you like it or not. You are caught up in the WB whirlwind...he is bad news and has an "interesting" past that might catch up to him. Personally I did not agree w the PR but thats not important to the project.... for those who don't like it; sell. For those who can look past it.. hang on until the "real" story can be played out....
BTW< I was at the mill last week; I wish everyone here both pro/con on this matter could go instead of judging by this PR.
jtf
RDG and everyone else, check out this read regarding an "expert" opinion on world demand for metals in the future:
http://www.resourceinvestor.com/pebble.asp?relid=48982
BTW, on Thursday, Feb 5, approx 5-10 shareholders are planning a visit to the mill/mine. Not up to me to tell anyone whether they can come or not....
jtf
Still around - reading, watching and "believing" that CPRK will pull this off. But have excercised my right to limit my posting on this chat room due to perceived censorship... Heading down to the mill next week w 10 shareholders for updates, frank discussions w mgt. I'm sure someone will post an update on the visit.
jtf
I'm not talking about dilution either; we all know that is happening; its much more than that....
jtf
This is not what is going on behind the scenes...
jtf
This is not what I'm referring too.
jtf
Eye, my research/opinion on manipulation is not directed to individual investors per se. I believe its from reckless unmonitored activities from institutions and mm some of which is illegal imo. I respect you and your posts have been spot on w meaningful substance. No offense was meant to my friends up north. I was simply trying to promote a healthy discussion on possible scenerios to look out for which some did not want posted. Good luck...
jtf
D, my conclusions are based on the following:
1. Charts/grahphs/reports of massive trading volume of mm that do not have retail operations. In other words, they trade for their own accounts and are the only ones that can short. Rational conclusion is they're shorting based on trend of pps with positive company news (the pps wouldn't be where it is if they were buyers)
2. Conversations with many key shareholders/insiders; they're all holding along w other shareholders they/I know. I know them to be accurate and truthful plus I personally know of many many millions of shares purchased the past several months. Plus, 80%+ of shares are closely held which should help stabilize pps....hasn't...wow...???
3. Interview w former penny stock trader who "enlightened" me on the "game" that's being played here. Pinks are not a friendly exchange....naked shorting; phony shares all part of the game at play. Go find a "former" penny trader and have a conversation w him/her. Off shore hedge funds and back room boiler rooms are real.
4. Research of other "manipulated" companies who have tried to fight this scheme. One example: check out overstock.com and the ceo and what he's trying to do. Even the SEC admits its a problem. In coming SEC chairwoman stated in a speech she believes for every real share there could be 2-3 phony shares trading.... yikes. There are many individuals who have written books and are ver proactive in trying to get the "game" terminated... I can post several names.
5. Positive company developments w mill start up approaching soon; what long investor, who "supposedly" bought in the past would sell now at a loss so close to the beginning (other than for tax purposes)? I believe the selling is illegal (and some legal) shorts and many of these shares are naked and / or phony. If you own shares do you absolutely know they are in your account? You'd be surprised what goes on out there. I had no idea until I did some research....
6. Valuation; current market cap of $30m+ on a company that could have close to a billion+ in assets?? Hey, I know the markets stink right now and especially mining stocks...but.
7. And yes, my opinion too. I'm not trying to explain away the pps decrease but only to discuss on the board a real possibility of a possible scenerio.
Right or wrong, the company still needs to deliver in order to increase the pps. That, all longs can agree on... IMO, I believe they will.
jtf
IMO, yes; things have never been better on the company side; one advantage of a low pps is it will help company re-purchase more shares. It also allows those of us who are truly long term to average down. Just remember there is a strong indication of shorting and manipulation going on.... lots of shares to work through the system. Hang in there; the next 3-6 months will ultimately determine the direction of the pps.
jtf
Not directly; imo, necessary to tie up issues before financing...
jtf
And another piece to the puzzle is put in place....
Some might not know about this arrangement but this was great news today. Similar to CPRK's pr on the bridge loan people extending their terms etc. Those in the know and who have seen the operation are impressed enough to extend terms and give em the benefit of the doubt for a larger payday down the road. imo... Oh and a Happy Holiday season to everyone...including the doubters!!
jtf
Oh, and I forgot one; panic selling from people who don't know what we have...
jtf
Dent1, this is my take:
1. Certain (not key) prior shareholders coming off restriction to raise money for other ventures they are in. Namely WB and his gang. Hopefully we can get it through the system.
2. Year end selling to take care of taxes, bills etc.
3. Definately short sellers driving the pps down w hopes to take it to .001 or lower; believe me this is happening. We need to wait them out w performance, rev, profits and dividends.
4. Company raising final amounts to fund operations until possible LT financing and/or production start up within the next few weeks/month
IMO, its not the loyal long termers selling.
jtf
I've heard anywhere from 100 on the low side to 400 on the high side. Either way not very many cause its not a widely known stock play...yet. If the word gets out based on performance, investors should come in and then lets see what happens...
jtf
My understanding of the floatation process is the consentrate contains all the metals except magnatite which is pulled out with huge magnet separators after the milling/grinding but before its treating w liquids. I will check to see if the copper can somehow be separated so the other metals can be sold now.
As far as size of financing, in June they announced $100m in rev bonds that obviously OSC didn't fund but the bonds are still valid so my feeling is they will still try to finance $100m. If funded, they would pay off bridge loans and all ST debt, purchase additional mining equipment; fund the SX-EW plant and probably have $25-$40m left for "other" items. They also mentioned a re-purchase of stock recently... now that might be interesting!! However, all contingent on securing the dough... if they pull that off in this environment then WOWSIE!!! IMO, it wouldn't surprise me if they did considering what they've done so far with no major financing/funding... These guys really haved done an incredible job considering everything going against us.
jtf
3f, while I agree they will need all the cash they can generate to fund operations on start-up, consider this scenerio (based upon getting significant LT financing done); produce consentrate on start up but DO NOT sell it immediately; stockpile and wait (maybe a gamble) and sell 6-12 months from now when pricing is hopefully higher and / or world economy/demand is somewhat better. Fund operations with LT financing which would pay operational expenses for the 6-12 months. Interest charge on that draw of capital would be significantly lower ($300k - $500k) than selling consentrate at $1.25 per lb of copper plus it takes time anyway before a company collects revenues on sales-I've heard 2-4 months. Once metal prices increase, sell consentrate and make many millions more than had the company sold it upon start-up. In addition, it gives the company time to establish an SX-EW plant, funded from LT financing, which would increase productivity on the consentrate we would have sold upon start-up thus adding to revenues that we wouldn't have had. I've calculated some numbers and even if copper were to hit $1.75 to $2 into the future....its many millions more based on company producing 75 tons of consenstrate a day (they could get to 100+ tons per day).
JMO...
jtf
TM, can you get the charts for tungstun, moly and / or magnetite too?? TIA
jtf
After seeing operations, you will need another (BIG) truck... I promise!!!
Make sure to stop in at the main office to sign a waiver and get protective equipment. Someone will need to take you to the mine/mill. Otherwise you won't get in due to security etc. Let me know if you need help w arranging your visit. I've been there 4 times and each new visit is absolutely amazing/compelling... listening to mgt is even better.
jtf
Pic of semi loaded with electrical equipment...mill is white building in the background... did someone mention delays?? Well, a previous delay just showed up at the mill!! tick tock...
I know you got it from another site; I saw it there too. Hey with everything going on a few mis communications are bound to happen!! All's well... just a matter of a month or so now.
jtf
IMU, long term financing is pressing forward and will not be impacted due to any delays etc.
jtf
3f, I need to clarify the toshiba posts; some of the equipment arrived 2 weeks ago and is being installed and is fine; a main toshiba component didn't arrive at the same time but should arrive this week; there was no equipment that was wrong or needed to be shipped back. It was a miscommunication. It was that ALL the equipment didn't arrive 2 weeks ago....still a small delay awaiting the main component to be added to the earlier shipment, but not what has been posted.
Regarding "official" soft start; not yet, but they are "testing" systems right now with generator power. Main power is in the process of being hooked up but could still be a few weeks out. Power company has some work (week or so) still to do on their end. I guess they will announce the "official" soft start.
I also believe the "official" start will be mid to end -Jan but they are testing right now. BTW, miners also take off holidays....which are upon us and will cost us several days :)
Hope this helps.
3F, great suggestion as this project might end up being a gold and silver play just as much as it is a copper mine. At $800+ and $10+ per oz, it doesn't take much to start adding up to significant revenues; and they are finding way more credit metals than expected.
jtf
Fed just lowered funds rate to .25%; almost free money out there. That should stimulate something... Gold up $13; silver up .15. End of 2009 or first quarter 2010 will see our world wide recovery.
Ok, strap in sounds good, too!
jtf
OH YEAH!!! its all good....the next couple of months should be "rock"in' :)
jtf
BUCKLE UP!!
jtf
We all know how you meant it....
I will too. Wow, they have some great stuff going on there!! Get ready to load up some more if you can afford the risk and the wait. IMO it will pay off.
jtf
Shareholders selling for a little christmas / end of the year cash. It might head lower before it goes higher... its all ok; look long term on this one; 6 months to a year.... we need to give them time to get the operations up a running. Great things are going on down there.
jtf
Another electrical pic...
New pic of electrical hook ups in sub station. Its all coming together now... (maybe financial is too... )
