We expected this Janice, but yes it is hard. It's just harder on the other 5 dog's. The home is so completely quiet, and my bay window is empty almost all of the time, but we had a breakthrew in the last hour. At one point all of the Whippets came in, and 1 by 1 got into the window, they did not stay long at all, but at least they came into the room, and that was a First...

This is an Amazing process to watch how all the 5 other dog's have changed. Even sleeping at night for them has changed. Normally I have all 5 remaining dog's in the bed with me, and that's everynight, but the last 3 night's have not been that way... Sometimes a few are choosing to sleep elseware, and that is a First..

These are the final pictures I took of Jacki Mama on 5-29-13, at our home. Jacki at this point was Heavily Sedated, and Chance stayed right by Jacki's side the whole time we were home.

This was a Special Gift of Love, Support and Compassion that Chance was giving Jacki.

When we took Jacki in for the final shot, I brought Chance with us, Chance was in the room. Orin had to leave, and I understood that. It took less than 5 seconds, and Jacki was gone. It was just that quick, and So Peaceful....

On our 1 hr road trip to the Humane Society, it was a beautiful day out. Jacki and Chance were in the back seat of the SUV. A beautiful moment happened. I was looking in the rear view mirror, and I saw the very tip of Jacki's nose sticking straight up. I had the windows all down, and as we were entering into more of a country side area, the smells in the air changed, you could smell freash cut grass, and other wonderful smells we my take for granted. Despite how heavily sedated I already had Jacki. Jacki managed to lift her head straight up, several times, to take in the Great smells of the Earth...{:>))


The Humane Society I took Jacki to had a Cremation on site. I did not want to take Jacki anywhere, that they would ship her to a different city, or state..... Not happening... just not happening....



I also requested to see the Cremation area, they had to get back to me on that request, as no one had ever requested that before. I got a phone call back, they said okay. I wanted to see the area, the oven, and to have it explained to me A - Z , the whole process.

You see, I wanted to make sure I was getting 99.99999% of Jacki Mama back. I was satisfied. Orin did not see that part, nor did I even consider asking him.....

The next process will be, when we get Jacki's ashes back, Orin and I are going to take her to her favorite Doggie Park, the one that has a River running along side of it. It's on about 100 acres of land.

For me, I know whenever I go back to that Doggie Park, Jacki WILL be walking along with us.

I know it, and I will feel her presence..... I just know it.... {:>))


I have a story about how our others are doing that I will post later, but all in all, the others are dealing with this on their own terms, in their own way, and if anyone were to think that dog's don't Grieve, Oh they are so very wrong..

My Bay Window stays mostly empty right now, as that was Jacki's Window.....

I see this dead dog is trying to move. Flipped it twice in the past. Would I touch it now... NOPE.. Has RS written all over it... Just waiting on the next FAKE PR. That should be interesting...

I have never heard of a person having problems like you are having. So there must be 1 key component that is throwing the balance of the system off ??? Wish I could help... {:>))

Is it real fine like sand ? Because what we alway's used was more of a Gravel, and the stores I see up here also use a Gravel.

Never hear of it before... Nor have I ever seen Tanks in stores with sand in them. It's always a certain type of lime stone...

Back in my day, early 1970's there were like 10 different tests we did on water. Copper is a Big one, it's like giving your fish Leukemia.... Never wear rings when putting your hands in a saltwater tank...

Yes when they die, all of their toxins go all threw the tank.... Nothing can survive...

When you had mentioned putting some type of sand in the tank, I have never heard of that. I wan to say what we used was a type of Lime stone...

For 1, there is something wrong in your Chemical balances, and you have had this issue for far to long... You need to seek out someone in the know, other than Petco....

I only watched a bit of the beginning part of season. Then when they were down to the top 4 or 5 I saw a whole show, and Candice just stood out from the others. I just knew she would get it...

It was just a Beautiful day trax. Then when the GM came out from the main restautant "The Chancery" and told me to look behind us. All I could say is WOW, then the GM took the 2 Pics for me.. {:>))

We had the Best time yesterday.

The story begins a year ago. I met this lovely woman named Lesli, I was alone with Chance our Whippet. I noticed from a distance that Lesli kept looking at Chance and I. I walked over to their table to introduce Chance to Lesli, she really did not care about me, it was all about Chance... LOL.... {:>))))))

Well, I gave Lesli my Face Book site's name. Lesli began following us, and especially Jacki Mama's Story. Lesli at first, threw Private Message, did not want to meet Jacki Mama, she felt it would be too emotional for her. I understood that, but I told Lesli, threw the pleasure of meeting Jacki Mama, it would help heal her sadness over Jacki's condition. Lesli agreed, so we met yesterday. We had such a good time... {:>))

I asked Lesli, besides Jacki Mama, what other 2 dog's did she want me to bring. Lesli wanted to meet Chance and Little Max.

Lesli brought a baggie full of Sausages and Cheese, Oh boy were the dog's all over her. Then when the Treats ran out, we went to a Toco type of chips, then when those ran out, Lesli was breaking up pieces of a Huge Soft Pretzle. Then Jacki Mama wanted to go to other Tables for more food.... Yikes, I had a hard time hold Jacki... Jacki Loves to Eat, but that's the Prednisone doing that.. {:>)))

Then the Manager of Freddie's came up to us and noticed a Rainbow over Lake Michigan, I gave Brian, the Manager, my camera and he took 2 Pics. My thoughts were, " God is Here, right now, with us, because we need him "

Then when we were about to leave, these 2 cute kid's came running to our table. They were the same 2 kid's we saw last Thursday. So we stayed a bit longer. I asked their Mom if I could use them for some Picture of our dogs.
