I replied to your question, do you have any further questions?
Bone marrow transplants were originally tried on dogs, prior to humans. Thus the technology is there. The remaining issue is price. Would you spend (or would joe sixpack spend) $15k to $20,000 for a bone marrow transplant for Rover?
I don't think so, but feel free to form your own opinion. Would you like any demographic data? Give me what you think the average household income would have to be to afford this expense and I can easily tell you what percentage of the population fits the criteria. I came up with, I think, less than 2% of the USA population. When you factor in that the same procedure is possible at NCSU, which is much more respected than WSU, AND MUCH CLOSER to the population and high income areas of the USA you get a absurdly small volume of business. Nothing that will sustain an ongoing public company...
all in my opinion, of course.
I'll admit I stay away from the political boards, mainly because every time I read them, I despair for Democracy in America. Makes you think that Plato was correct in saying that an enlightened despot was the way to go. Now if only I could find an enlightened despot who knew that I was 100% correct... LOL
But to put it simply, If you don't like the passion and anger and yes, insults that will result on ANY political board, then stay away. If you want a calm reasoned debate, join a local club, there's no guarantee that it will be polite, but fewer people are inclined to insult you to your face in public.
Why would anyone think that talking to the CEO was DD????
Would you really call someone up and ask "are you scamming me?" and "Please explain the scam"
The ONLY DD that is worthwhile is what can be indepentantly verified.
All in my opinion, of course.
A gagged TA?? Couple that with after hour sales and non reporting status and you have the classic definition of a dilution machine.
So far nobody has argued that there is not significant dilution occuring, but I haven't stressed it yet either.
Dilution trumps charts every time, imo.
That "office" in North Carolina is a P.O. box, which also houses the Siberian Husky Association, another Berthold effort.
Maybe they have tiny furniture? LOL
No, the theory is they're taking a treatment that is already being used on humans and applying it to dogs. That's the theory.
They have no facilities that can provide bone marrow transplants, no new treatments, and the "Pet Screen" test that they've been trumpeting the last few PR's has been so discredited that Pet Screen, ltd. no longer puts its test results on its web page.
NCSU recently had equipment donated to provide bone marrow transplants for dogs, primarily because the equipment is so expensive and the demand so low, NCSU couldn't afford to buy the equipment. NCSU will only treat one dog a month. Hardly the type of volume you build a business on.
Dr. Jeff Bryan, who was going to be on the medical board of directors for PHMB, has been quoted as saying "this treatment will remain in the academic field for the next 10 years"
In other words, he doesn't see a tremendous potential for a profitable business. No doubt the failed pet store owner (twice) who is the CEO of this farce knows better. LOL
I fear I was correct, I'm being surrounded :)
ah well, you'll have to get in line.
LOL, Lies, lies, and more lies. Sounds like a plan, lead on McDuff!
By the way, my member marks are up, either my circle of friends is growing, or I'm being surronded.
Let's see, we have TWO pet stores with disconnected phone lines :), one failed landscaping business, and a failed Life Alert business. Am I missing anything?
Now is this really the resume of a man you would trust to pull off running a science intensive business with multiple locations?
Frankly, it reads more like the resume of a front man. I'd say our guesses as to who is really behind this operation seem more and more plausible.
All in my opinion, of course.
Thanks for the PM, but given the ... rather inflammatory posts I've made recently, I'd prefer to protect my anonimity. I am easy to find on other boards where PM's are not an issue. HSM is one.
But for those who don't admit to being insiders, what should be done? IHUB will not mount a major effort to track ISP's and use logic to determine insiders, nor should they. My logic clearly may not be your logic.
So how do we combat non disclosing insiders? Short of tracking down insiders and beating them like a rented mule, I'm fresh out of ideas (not to mention non violent ;)
Thanks for the update, I thought he got away with it. In the absence of knowledge, I usually fall back on cynacism.
So should IHUB set up a system for disclosure by company executives? And how could any one ever prove it. (Although I must admit, I tend to use grammatical errors that are common to posters and company PR's as a dead give away:)
I'm trying to take the holiday off, I'll get back into serious research at some point next week, I'd love to see what you've turned up, at this point you're saving me some work.
Thanks :)
Get's into how broad you define "paid". I agree that there are probably more IRP's than are on the current list. But it can be hard to determine who is simply pro company vs. a paid promoter. I remember falsely accusing another poster of essentially being an IRP (you may remember that :) So I've learned to be a bit more cautious, at least in my public statements.
How about employees or members of the board of a company? Should they disclose? That aren't being reimbursed to pump the stock (at least in theory) but they clearly have a vested interest. I believe the SEC signed off on the legality of a CEO posting anonymously about how great his company was, and how bad his principle competition was in an attempt to drive down the stock price of his competitor, which he acquired at a presumably lower price. (Wild oats, and the company that bought/merged with them)
Then you get into more or less organized groups of "friends" who act together without the paid assistance of the company. Technically, some of their actions could be illegal, but they are not IRP's.
I don't think IHUB could or should make rules that are more stringent than the SEC. It's up to every investor to realize that the pinks are an absolute swamp. It only gets a little better as you move up on the other boards. (ok, that last point is arguable)
GLTY...really
I disagree, it shows that they are willing to prey on seniors, just not very good at it.
Has it occurred to you that we're all posting to a very small circle? With all this volume, and presumably new shareholders there are no new posters? I find that ... unusual.
Of course I always thought that private sales were the real objective of this company. I can imagine yorkie going up to a little old lady who's snoogums has just died and selling her a few hundred thousand shares of a company that will FIGHT canine cancer. (ROFLMAO)
This story has never gained traction with IHUB members. Without WSU in the mix, they have an even poorer story to tell(er... I mean sell). IMO, the after hour sales are the result of the little yorkies sales calls. Probably with seniors as their main target market.
I Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, particularly of course, my Merry Pranksters.
OH MY!! ANOTHER failed pet store in Florida? Berthold is two for two? LMAO
Didn't he learn anything from then first one??
This is just my first reaction, it needs more research, I'll keep looking. Thanks
When moderators are allowed to post videos of their niece (8 yrs. old) singing god bless america, and that post stands for hours, along with various silly responses. But pro company posters (who are not mod's) cannot post any "chatty" posts, and their post objecting to the little school performance are deleted in minutes. You have to expect a little hostility.
Matt, A neutral mod is needed. Your policy of jailed mod's being removed should have stood. I have no idea why an exception was made in this case. But the PHMB board is clearly out of reasonable control. I TOS"d the absurd school performance hours before it was finally removed. And had I not made such a fuss, it would have stood. Please bring in a new mod (NOT AN asst. mod) and get some appearance of even treatment. All parties can deal with known and evenly applied rules. The current arbitrariness and vindictive, controlling removing of posts is way beyond the pale.
Nice interview, he makes it sound like PHMB actually has facilities, which we all know is not the truth. He also makes it sound like Pet Screen is a real company, which I doubt is the truth.
by all means, don't take my word for it, look up Anthony Accetturo yourself. This link to a Yahoo search may help, I used
"Anthony Accetturo" mafia
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0geu_GnoyxJjF4Bz8tXNyoA?p=%22anthony+accetturo%22+mafia&y=Search&fr=yfp-t-501&ei=UTF-8
If mafia does not equal mobster in your world, then we have...
a failure to communicate :)
I don't disagree, that's why I haven't tried to present it in a court of law. IN FACT I'm the one who said it was circumstantial. Legal proof and reasonable assumptions are entirely different things.
you have a right to ignore/disbelieve the links I've provided. But to say that they are not valid points is another issue entirely.
I have presented my evidence here, can you dispute a single thing I've posted?? If not, then there is simply no point in continueing. Any arguments you make at this point are merely an attempt to dodge the facts. Unless you can show how our documented facts are wrong, you have no basis for discussion.
So you can't dispute anything posted. The evidence is obviously circumstantial, it is up to each reader to judge for himself. But BELIEF based on an absence of facts has never convinced me. I have never posted that PHMB has done anything illegal, just that unsavory characters of dubious integrity surround it. If you want to trust your money to people with mob connections, by all means do so. But all investors should be aware of who they are dealing with.
And no monk, her reply was not amusing, it was simply an attempt to ignore evidence presented.
What "caca" are we posting? pray tell. And you're completely incorrect, the mob DOES use pink sheets to launder money and make a profit. The recent Bonnano case is just one example. If you have anything to dispute what has been posted, please do so...with links.
LOL The only malicious intent I see here is dilution in the form of paying millions of shares for "stock awareness" programs, as well as millions of shares sold being posted after hours, usually a sure sign of dilution.
If your theory is correct, then Berthold must have some rich enemies, to keep buying shares and then dumping them. LOL WHO would do that??
I thought I detected a circle sale as well. There is simply not enough interest in this, when they took out the bid, it dropped to .0005 rapidly.
Down about 90% from one week ago
And after hour sales/dilution continued today.
I completely agree, I know that Anthony Accetturo had two (not too) sons. One was Anthony jr. the other was ...? How common could the name Accetturo be in Banner Elk??
If Berthold wasn't so vague about his background, you might be able to find a connection. But it seems that his experience is so ... undistinguished, that he chooses to hide it.
I do think that his "construction industry" experience is firmly rooted in Astro Investments. It reminds me of a friend of mine. He's a carpenter and breeds pure breed hunting dogs. He certainly has "construction industry" experience, and he loves dogs, but I wouldn't hire him to run a company.
Makes you wonder, who really controls PHMB?? Is Berthold just a front man with Yorkie there to tell him what to do???
Anthony Accettura was a primary investor in Wilderness Trail.
http://www.averycountync.gov/boardMe...utes080306.htm
Steve York is a director of PHMB
Steve York is the marketing director for Wilderness Trail Real Estate company.
http://www.bannerelk.org/member.php?mode=map&id=227
He is also employed by Angelo Accettura at Astro Investment group.
http://www.astroinvestmentgroup.com/team.htm
Astro is the developer and builder of Wilderness Trail, makes you wonder if that's Bertholds background in construction doesn't it.
I'd say that the realistic plans for a clinic are gone, why is WSU no longer listed as a partner or affiliated organization??
Dr. Jeff Bryan of WSU was supposed to be on the medical advisory board and the medical director of the clinic. There's been no further mention of a medical advisory board. It seems that WSU is no longer involved. PHMB's web page calls for two clinics open in 2008, seems like that portion of the "business model" is hopeless.
all in my opinion, of course.
Actually it's easy to believe the "CEO" is that incompetent.
His only known and verifiable business experience is failing as a pet store owner. In addition, as of Oct. 1 2008, PHMB listed 7 employees. This is a company with no operations and no revenue, what do these people do? They have to sell stock just to meet payroll.
It's easy to imagine a "Radar and Henry Blake" scenario where someone is just putting papers in front of him and saying sign here. The only question is, who is the Radar character? Maybe the same person(s) who own the preferred shares? I've said before that Berthold is just the front man, the control of this company is elsewhere.
Or you could believe that the CEO gave 10.5 million shares away without realizing it. LOL
all in my opinion, of course.

My guess would be their marketing/IR firm. Of course THEY had to get the shares from PHMB.
OTC reporter was it? Ya think? They *only* got
10 million shares to "feature" PHMB

Real company comparisons:
VCA Antech, Inc. 435 Animal hospitals, traded on NASDAQ
Pet DRx Corporation 25 Animal hospitals traded on NASDAQ
Pharmacom Biovet zero clinics traded on OTC
Where's the money coming from for Pharmacom to open even one clinic?
What Clinics?? None are open yet and they've stopped mentioning WSU as a partner. WSU was providing the clinic and staff, but now they're no longer mentioned???
by the way, is this the same blood test with all the false positives?

Nice to see you again UR, I pretty much agree with you. Today's trading looks like a classic "gap and trap" scenario.
Sounds like an appropriate match LOL, by the way, there was a flurry of PR's about Petscreen in 2005,2006 and into 2007, But nothing in 2008??? Maybe the test didn't work, the following excerpt could be a reason why.
Here is a company offering a “screening” test for lymphoma in dogs with a sensitivity and specificity of 84% and 83%, respectively.
http://www.pet-screen.com/web/petscr/index.cfm?s=7&dir=5088
If we guess the prevalence to be 1%, which is too high probably, the PPV is 5%. In other words, 19 out of 20 positives will be false and 17 times out of 100 tests you will have created needless worry. They are playing a sneaky little card by emphasising the benefits of a negative result (NPV=99.8%). So, you can scare your pet owner with the idea of a 1% risk then spend a load of money on a test and leave them a 0.2% risk after a negative result.
Thar’s money in them NPV’s.
Suffice to say I shall not be using this test.

I agree, isn't this basically a duplication of the Ibox that can't be turned off?
Technologically cool, no doubt, but is it needed? Restrict it to admin. imo.
The only mythology being developed by PHMB is that it is a legit company. How many dogs will they treat at their clinic? To meet the earlier predictions they made of $7 million plus revenue it would have to be 10 a week.
NCSU which has an operating canine cancer clinic that offers bone marrow transplants will only treat one a month
We are implementing supportive treatments that may utilize a number of proven and novel mythologies to incorporate them into PharamaCom BioVet Inc. centers
