First, I wish you nothing but the best of luck, that being said let’s examine your post. First:
"Just maybe this one time no news is good news. IMO something must be happening it is to quite"
I have heard that same sentiment hundreds of times, however, the reality is this company is quite for long periods of time because they have nothing to say.
Second:
"let's dream maybe takeover of another company, going into some new business outside of lighting, buy back of shares, New management, another name change, big contract with big box store."
Let’s assume a takeover for the fun of it. If the company that took over paid a 100% premium , which by the way is unheard of, the stock would double to two cents. If they went into a new business it would mark about the 4th or 5th time in less than a decade they have gone down that road. How has that worked out so far? As far as buying back shares, you need money to do that and they have none. A name change? Change your name as many times as you want it does nothing to the share price nor should it. Big contract with box store? Why and for what? Does this company manufacture a patented earth shattering product with a huge demand. If so then maybe a big box store would want to lock it up. Lighting products made in china doesn't fit the bill though! How about a new IR firm? Really, for what to promote or tout the company to artificially inflate the price? If you notice real companies don't need tout firms to spam email and message boards to garner attention.
Last:
"And the best dream Capstone at 15 cents by the end of 2013"
Well you were predicting .25 a few months ago so even your estimate has gone down, lol! If you want to dream about 15 baggers that’s fine but I hope your investment strategy doesn't revolve around "dreams".
Good luck to you in the future
The real problem is people know the company exists and people know the history of the company. I have to admit I predicted this shell would be bankrupt by Christmas of 2011 so I was wrong by a lot. Somehow they continue to hang on but the business model is not one that will ever lead to large revenue growth. So the stock will flounder other than the occasional quick pop on some meaningless news or a few and far between strong quarterly report. The volume is pathetic and most of the board touts from years past are long gone or seldom seen. Watching paint dry must be a blast compared to owning this stock and watching it do nothing for years........Oh how I long for generators, roof tiles, power tools and race cars, and of course the daily battles between Lucy, Flip and Sal. Heck sometimes I even joined in. Carry on my wayward sons........
In my opinion .025 would be a more realistic goal. There is no shot that this stock will be anywhere near a quarter in a year. Good luck though and keep the faith.
Got power back at my office in NJ today. Still no power at home, utility company is telling us it should be back by the 11th, I sure hope so. Multiple trees down in my yard but I am one of the lucky ones!!!! Keep the Tri State area in your prayers and please donate to the Red Cross.
Sad to say but true RVD
I remeber it well the announcement that was going to change it all, while were at it wasting shareholdr money why don't we sponsor a race team that never comes close to winning antyhing as well! On a strictly nostalgic whim I'll bid $5 on the screw driver!!!!
Capstone Signs Exclusive Agreement With The Armor All/STP Products Company To Offer a Line of STP(R) Branded Hardware and Automotive Tools
By: PR Newswire
COOPER CITY, Fla., April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Capstone Industries, Inc. (Capstone), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Direct Trading Corp. (OTCBulletinBoard:CHDT), announced today that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with The Armor All/STP Products Company (STP), a division of The Clorox Company (NYSE:CLX). Capstone is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty category products in the North American market. Holding several product and design patents and trademarks, Capstone will develop, distribute, market and sell a line of diverse hardware and automotive tools to retailers nationwide.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with a partner like Capstone who is focused on creating quality products that will offer consumers an exceptional value," said Steve Silberblatt, Vice President of New Business Development and Licensing for The Clorox Company, which owns STP.
"My fingers are crossed, and I hope that if you read the last PR that you don't read into the forward looking statement that suggests that CAPC as an investment is only suitable for people who can afford to lose said investment.
This statement by the way, was the crux of my conversation with KEI and I asked them to pass on my sentiments to company officials."
I don't want to put words in your mouth but it seems as if you are saying that you don't want the company to be forth coming with potential investors. Actually, that forward looking language is there so when and if they go belly up they can point to it when the inestor law suits pop up. The fact is this is a very risky proposition and in all likely hood if you don't sell you will lose most or all of your money. Of course this is just my opinion. I sold a long time ago (years) at .012-.013 range if I remember correctly, I lost a little but since then the stock has wallowed in mire. Going back to generators and roof tiles (yes I have been around that long) this stock has been a money pit unless you were fortunate enough to day trade the spikes that are few and far between. Good luck in your investment.
Premiums to current stock price are paid in deals involving heathy, vibrant growing companies. NOT companies with poor credit, factoring agents and minimal sales. No company with half a brain would pay a premium for this company.
LOL Sal, I always enjoy reading posts from you and Flip. Whatever possesed you to get back into this train wreck?
Been lying low for a long time and monitoring the board. Funny, after all this time the cast of characters adds some new faces but the beat goes on.........Conspiracy theories abound on a ship wreck stock like this. Truth is, has and always will be the share price is the share price for one reason and one reason only. This company may change faces, may change products and may change ticker symbols but it is and always will be an ill conceived poorly run, non profitable, shareholder black hole. Fire away...........
For a small company to earn a profit on $10M+ sales in extremely rare.
Really? Really? Uhm companies are or should be in business to make money. I earn a very nice profit on about 1.2 million in sales. Your statement is just not factual, most companies that don't make money go out of business. Only so many shares you can print and sell ya know! GLTU
Actually, when going for Hurricane supplies you go to wherever you can to get them. When impending Hurrican Irene was forecast to hit NJ earlier this fall every and I mean every store was out of flash lights and D batteries two days before the storm hit. Didn't matter if it was the corner grocer or the Home Depot and Lowes and we have tons of them as the most densly populated state. It also didn't matter how much they cost. Amazing what people do when they panic.
In the past CHDO has done things like promo end caps that are seasonal. I think they count that in their retailer count they give to shareholders. They will always be losing some and adding some, it's the nature of sales with any commodity. So diversification among customers is a key to not having revenues squashed by the decision of one big box retailer.
I would tend to think its a couple of retailers rather than one big one. Which actually would be better as the more spread out the customer base the less suseptable the company is to one mass retailer yanking the plug. Diversification of a customer base is the key for most good companies
LOL, I understand now, the mysterious seller only comes around and sells when it fits the story line. Otherwise he dissapears into the vapor. My guess is he will be back next time a convienant excuse is needed as to why the stock price did not climb higher. You just can't make this stuff up! A much more plausible and sensible reason as to why no one is selling or buying is because this stock is still only driven by news and momo. So.......no news, no momo, no sale. It's really not that hard to figure but I know the conspiracy theory is such much more fun! Everyone is always looking for second shooter on the grassy knoll when in reality there is none to be found!
The problem is its not a "plausible theory" because the same theory has been floating around and used as an excuse for years. Fact is there is no one seller, there are many. The notion that someone would just sell and dump shares to keep the price in check is silly. People buy and sell to make money, anyone with half a brain who had a lot of shares they wanted to get rid of would do that slowly into a rally so they didn't tank the price. When multiple people have shares they want to get rid of and are all looking to get what they can thats when the price tanks. By the way this is not a statement on what the stock is or is not worth. The market dictates that, if you think its undervalued then by all means buy and hold it.
LOL U, without risk and this stock are certainly not synonymous!
Betting on it is not good terminalogy. Most people lose their bets, "I am counting on it or confident" would be better in my opinion. The jist of the message as always is positive from management.
Yep Pork its me, sold out a long time ago but love the cast of characters on this board so I stop by once in a while and stir the pot a little. My opinion is usually not received very well, LOL, but hey I been around this stock a long time so I don't care if people like what I have to say or not. I am glad you are still around, I was concerned your health had taken a turn for the worse.
I am nuetral in that I own no shares nor do I plan to any time soon. I was invested in this company for years and at one time had around 500,000 shares and my opinion of managment is well documented. I have recently said the direction of the company is positive, if I were still a share holder there are many things about this company that would concern me but to be fair they are many improvement that have been made over the last few quarters as well. I wish anybody with some gambling money that wants to invest in this company the best of luck it could work out. If it's your mortgage money or your kids college fund I would think twice. Hope that answers your question.
Porky, how you been man? Nice to see you posting, I hope your health has improved!!!!!! Always one of my favorites! Good luck to you!
as long as you catch my drift........
Will be interesting to see if the next few q's and year over year continue to grow at the same rate as the past year.
Aw come on now Lucy. I always tell the truth, you just don't usually like what I have to say....But hey, it was a very nice Q. Good luck..
100 million? Thats funny, Anyway nice news by the company and an excellent Q. One has to ask why the share price tanks today on good news like that. This stock has no traction and can't get out of its own way even with the great news. I hope for the sake of the long time longs this changes.
DD time will tell. There is very little trust in management by the street and as you stated the volume is pathetic. If they do as they say the share price will catch up and volume will improve. 10 million in sales would be nice and a profit of a couple hundred thousand would be a huge improvement. BUT, potential investors want to see the potential for this company to be in the 30-50 million dollar range, not 10 million. Don't take those figures literally, my point is potential investors want a company that has the potential for explosive growth when the current sales are minimal. Don't get me wrong, if they do 10 million that would be a dramatic improvement. The question would then become is that the top or could the double or triple that figure? Good luck and good trading.
Good luck to you I know you have been around for a while. I hope you see 2 cents again......
I know you believe everything you read and I know this company has never given bad guidance (cough, cough) None the less you may want to pay attention to this:
Leading today's call is Stewart Wallach, CEO of CHDT Corp. Before I turn the call over to Mr. Wallach, let me remind you that participants of this call will make forward-looking statements based on current expectations, and those statements are subject to certain risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially. These risks and uncertainties are detailed in the reports filed with the SEC, including forms 8-K, 10-K, and 10-Q filings, by the Company.
It's still my opinion that this company is not a good long term investment. Their financials are terrible and they still have to use a factoring agent. Healthy companies don't do that, period! I will say they are improving revenue but they are still losing money overall and until they start making money consistently and stop paying someone to finance their orders I think it's a bad investment. The share price lends itself to my feelings. However, everyone is entitled to a "dollar and a dream" so go for it and best of luck!
"We have a seller either in need of cash or that can afford to throw away money"
or
more likely someone that is getting out while the getting is good. Could be a flipper or someone who has been waiting for some volume to dump this pig.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Nice report, just be careful because the weeeeeeeeeeee vortex will suck you in and take your money. Back under my rock!
I think it's that mysterious, vindictive seller at work again. Or is the board done with that conspiracy theory? I have a theory of my own. A long time ago people figured out the real story with this company. Therefore while a few longs hang on, everone else has or is abonding ship. Good luck longs! Back under my rock for a while.
I was in no way attacking M and if it appeared that way I apoligize. My point was, and I don't think its even debatable that managment has consistently provided inflated guidance that proved to be totally unreliable. Therefore in my opinion it would be unwise to relie on guidance provided by management.
Your kidding right? They have guided and missed every year for as long as I can remember. Why would you beleive what they say with respect to guidance? Their track record proves they can't offer trust worthy guidance. I have seen some excellent question from others Marcelh and I would listen carefully to the companies response. As far as guidance, I beg you please don't follow their guidance unless you are going to reduce it by about 40% so its accurate. Good luck to you!
Fair enough, good luck!
Okay, I will state it as simply as I can, If your hanging your haT ON THE TICKER SYMBOL TO ATTRECT POTENTIAL INVESTORS OR THE FACT THEAT THE TICKER SYMBOL DOESN'T MATCH THE NAME AND THAT IS A NEGATIVE TOWARDS POTENTIAL INVESTORS BUYING....WELL THEN "MITCHIN CONTOL WE HAVE A PROBLEM" AND EXCUSE MY CAPITALS AND SPELLING BUT I HIT THE CAP LOCK KEY AND i DON'T FEEL LIKE FIXING IT. glyu lol!
I agree with almost everything you said and you are brutally honest. However I disagree with the stock symbol. People don't buy and sell a stock because of a symbol. It could be ticker symbol "suck" and people would by it if the company was good, conversly it could be "gold" but people would steer clear if it wasn't worth it. Case in point, ever hear of REDBOX, you know the movie video vending machine that's in every super market, wallmart and Mickey D's. Want to trade that company? The ticker is CSTR (coinstar), has nothing at all to do with the redbox name but the stock is almost $45. Why? Cause if its good they will find it. GLTU!
Have any shares traded today? If so undere what ticker symbol? Yahoo Finance shows no shares traded yesterday or today. TIA
Agree, it's not the vote of confidence you want from management when the give up shares for half a penny each.
Not a big deal but not a good thing either, and why no press release indicating the switch?
Weren't they talking about uplisting to the nasdq a couple years ago?
What? No company PR per this? Unless I am missing something there were no shares traded today, this might explain why. Can't make it up with this company! Can I get a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
