Yeah, but if it starts back up again they'll put out some press release that knocks it back down.
Deal. If it turns out I am wrong then I'll be able to afford it.
I'll be here. I'm trapped. Hope our conversation is me apologizing for being terribly wrong. But I don't think I am.
The concept I'm having the hardest time getting clear on is how anyone can continue to apologize for the people running this company after being lied to over and over again and having the rug pulled out every single time. To even imagine that after all we've been through that there is any chance of them underpromising and overdelivering is laughably absurd it's just not even comprehensible. After announcing locked data on Oct. 5 to come out this week and say we are still months away from TLD is just astonishing. Not to mention that after having our investment funds used to develop a company that was subsequently sold exclusively for the benefit of the CEO and her husband, we are now sitting here watching her preparing to do it all over again with her second manufacturing venture.
The concept looks something like this:
She didn't sell Cognate to CRL. I guess that kind of blows up your whole little argument. Oops.
Perhaps you can explain how selling Cognate after using our investment money in NWBO to build it up kept "production of DCVax more or less in own hands"? I guess you meant the "less" part.
She's getting ready to do the same thing with Advent. None of this has anything to DCVax.
Perhaps you can explain just one of the "gaps" in my understanding. Go ahead; I will wait. While you are at it, perhaps you can share with all of us just one example of NWBO underpromising and overdelivering on anything. Give me just one. That's all I'm looking for. Just one example please.
You are probably one of the last ones who should be writing about people lacking understanding.
Did it ever occur to anyone here that the real intent of Advent may not have anything to do with producing DCVax, or at least anything more than the two rooms that combined that are smaller than my basement?
Would anyone disagree that the era of DI has been nothing short of an epic fail? Not sure how much of it is his fault (certainly the verbal abuse of shareholders is intolerable) or how much his hands are tied, but taken as a whole the past couple of years has set back corporate communications decades.
How long do you think $15 per hour would be a "living wage"? I don't think you understand how capitalism works. Fast-food workers will always be the baseline, so if you mandate $15 an hour inflation will rapidly adjust so that the new baseline is the same as the old baseline, and $15 an hour is no longer a living wage. That's what happened when they raised it to $5, and then $7.50 and then whatever it is now. That's how it works. Always has. Most fast-food workers even understand this basic concept, and they aspire to better employment.
One thing I can assure you will result from raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour: two thirds or more of all fast-food jobs will disappear. They are already heading toward full automation, and raising the minimum wage would only accelerate that transition. It's coming. Deal with it. You will be able to state proudly that the $15 minimum wage led to the rapid automation of numerous industries. That's the only reason I would support even having a minimum wage much less raising it.
I'm not even going to touch the ridiculousness of an employee-owned business concept. That's a guaranteed fail. Not sure what economics books you have read but they seem to be missing the chapters on incentivization.
Here's a fun thought:
A lot of big shots with the time and means are long gone from this stock, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if after today's press release we start seeing lawsuits popping up again. It just seems like that's where we are again, all over again. If it takes a court to compel them to release material information then it needs to start happening. This is a disgrace.
All your previous posts tell us is that we should have had world-changing data from the DCVax Phase 3 trial a long, long time ago, but we don't. Tell me honestly that you were expecting them to announce we are still months from TLD? That's not what you were expecting and you know it. You also know that when they say months they are really talking about at least a year or more. So why are they refusing to release the data when they locked it down five+ months ago? There is nothing about seeking regulatory approval that precludes them from releasing TLD. You know it, I know it and everybody knows it. The way this process works is you lock the data and then you release TLD in short order. That's the way it is done, and there is a reason it is done that way - because it protects the integrity of the process. When you start playing games with the process, you are telling the world that there are major problems. Why? Because you can always release TLD and then worry about regulatory approval and medical journals later. This process now, officially, has no integrity, just like everything else that has ever been affiliated with this company and the sleazy people running it.
This press release today was a total bust, and the market has showed its dismay. The press release announces something that happened five months ago. Why? What is the point of releasing it now? Clearly they've been sitting on this press release because they've known they aren't going to release TLD any time soon if ever and they knew they would have to release something at some point to buy themselves more time. That's all this press release does. They thought it would placate the long-suffering longs and buy themselves five more months of silence. Well, it's not placating me. This is just more games. Saying that we are still months from TLD is just another rug pull. I'm so sick of it, and we are now at 15 years for this nonsense and the world of GBM research is really and truly for real about to leave NWBO behind. The fact that they are scared to release the data is a very, very bad sign, and if you had any intellectual honestly you would admit it instead of just saying "Rubbish" to everything. Release the effing data!
Oh, give me a break. She didn't piece together anything. She's on the NWBO payroll. Believe me, it wasn't just coincidence that she tweeted that yesterday. Nothing wrong with that, but don't act like she's some kind of NWBO sage. We all know how the game is played.
So, I hope you are learning that predicting correctly more than once does actually have some meaning. In sojo's case he/she has been remarkably accurate in predicting short term spikes and dips for NWBO. Now, I would agree with you that technical analysis on the stock of a company waiting for a binary event would not seem to have much if any long-term value, and I used to hold the same stance as you that such activity was nothing more than a waste of time. But since then I have come to see that there is actual value in these predictions for the short term. These short-term predictions have been very helpful in allowing me to sell a few thousand shares here and a few thousand shares there, and then buy them back later. So far, sojo's advice, while not perfect, has been overwhelmingly accurate and has proved quite profitable if you are into short-term trades. I would encourage you not to dismiss sojo's technical analysis entirely.
Now, why would you go and write something logical and rational like that? Don't you know that's not what these people want to hear?
In my opinion, there are only three possible reasons why they haven't said anything:
1) This whole thing is a bust and they know it and are ashamed to say anything while they plot the future of the company and whether they can continue to raise money,
2) They are in buyout negotiations and there is a total moratorium on any public statements, or
3) They are totally incompetent in their communications and/or just don't care whether they keep shareholders informed or not.
I would say there's a 50-50 chance on either 1 or 2 being correct, and No. 3 is always correct regardless of 1 or 2.
You can keep posting that Doc but it doesn't make it true. It might be the same chemical compound but it's made by UCLA. DCVax is made by NWBO, and that's why you will find no mention of DCVax in the official trial description on clinicaltrials.gov - even in the section they provide for listing alternative names, the same area where they do list alternative names for Keytruda. So no, UCLA's trial has nothing, zero, zilch to do with NWBO. That is a fact. Why do you keep trying to convince people otherwise? It's not true. The UCLA trial is their own gig because, like many of us, they got sick and tired of being jerked around by NWBO, a loser company that can't complete a 14-year-old trial, that locks the data and then goes dark for five and half months, that lies with impunity about everything they do, that can't submit regulatory filings on time, that doesn't pay its bills on time, that sends in its second-in-command to do a$$-clown performances on the Big Biz Clown Show, whose Investor Relations guy is too bothered to communicate with shareholders, and on and on and on. Should I continue?
Of course you know all of this, and even though you won't admit it you know in your heart what is coming - yet another all-time-classic rug pull. Some of us learned a long time ago not to stand on that rug anymore.
Stars are aligning! Dots are connecting! Stay tuned!
Yeah, whatevs. No biggie if she dumps Advent like she dumped Cognate. I mean, who really cares if the CEO is a crook as long as we get "top line data, an update on the build out at Sawston, the data details in a big to-do journal, and that the BLAs are filed," right?
Oh, yeah, doesn't look like we are getting any of those things either. It's been five months and one week since they announced they locked data. Some folks here are still acting like there's nothing wrong. I'm glad you care about getting all those things you list above, as do I, but I fear more and more with each day that passes we made the mistake of putting our trust in a group of abject liars.
Don't you think the whole reason she unloaded U.S. Cognate and spun off European Cognate was to get the SEC off her back? Do you really think she wants to blare a siren at the SEC with more insider dealing? No way. And after seeing what CRL just paid for the same company she sold for less than a third that amount three years prior, she knows she can go somewhere else and get a whole hell of a lot more for Advent than NWBO could ever afford.
