Not a very active board. UFO do you think this thing pops in October?
UFO the post by our friend at SG was a nice intro. I smell something big!
Long $CAPR
Thank you Regis, this truly is a goldmine.
Thank you!
Can anyone help me navigate to the KSS forum on Gumshoe? I am a paid subscriber (newly), still just figuring out how to navigate the site.
Thanks for your help
This is what penny stocks do. They are going to move both up AND down on no news or change in fundamentals. Nobody here should be talking about being "in this for the long haul" if you aren't able to accept that penny stocks are volatile. Norchi will update us when the time is right.
No news can be good news imo, I'd rather have a silent CEO working to get things done rather than wasting mine and his time providing "updates" at conferences.
ahab - to your point, there is no clear information directly from Arch Therapeutics explaining why it has been delayed from when initially planned. My use of "hiccup" in this case simply refers to the delay.
I greatly appreciate your initiative in reaching out to IR to find an answer.
I think it is worth noting that I don't think this delay should be a huge cause for concern right now. I'd rather the company have everything in order before filing than rushing into the fight blind.
You are using the word Promise too loosely. Arch never promised anything. Your point and opinion still stands, but I don't think it's fair to say Norchi and team promised to have CE filed last year. That was the plan, but plans change and unfortunately there was a hiccup.
How so? Price has hung around the .60's for over 6 months.
They are providing an update today. They provided a corporate update at the Roth conference last year.
Dane thank you, I tried to point that out. They provided corporate updates at the same conference in Feb, 2016.
GrosPied and Flash, thanks for your responses.
I agree in that it is a very good thing that AC5 is being classified as a device vs. drug as Trump has vocalized his displeasure w/ pharma prices. I've unfortunately spent too much time lately wondering what will come from the New Administration next. While I think that Arch and AC5 are safe, the unknown is a little more real than if the opposing party had won the presidency. A lot going on. A lot to absorb. While it is interesting, you always have to wonder how your #1 pick plays out. Good luck to all of you.
Does anyone have an opinion over whether or not the Trump administration's (potential) crackdown on healthcare could seriously affect ARTH?
That's when the stock price dropped from over-bought levels though. The stock price is still up 18% this year on no formal news.
The stock price dropped on a board anyone can pay to read that may or may not have indicated a delay in CE. I wouldn't expect a negative bombshell next week. If it was coming and had to do w/ stockgumshoe, investors would likely already know or would have figured it out.
21Money what is the point of this post? If you want to pick on someone, shouldn't it be me in this circumstance seeing as how I was the negative one about the press release this morning? He only agreed with my point.
He presented a corporate update at the same conference last year on Feb 10th. This could very well be a non-event.
21money that is a momentum indicator. With how volatile the past week has been in relation to its longer-term trading pattern, I'm not sure that the RSI is a good indicator to be concerned with. That's all IMO, but I wouldn't let the RSI concern you right now.
21 you say that as if nothing happened for this stock in 2016. Are you forgetting it rose nearly 200%?
I understand where you are coming from w/ snail's pace but are we forgetting that ARTH is up 200% YTD?
A buyout after ce is way too early. I appreciate a year or two before a buyout while they obtain more patents, realize more applications, complete more trials, standardize more processes etc.. The more of this stuff they get done without a buyout equals higher buyout which equals more money in our pockets. Why ask for $5/share w/ a buyout in Q1 2017 when we can double or triple that with a little more patience?
All imo
21 and whatworld Norchi knows the investment world very well. There is reason to his rhyme. Just have to be patient.
I hate to be that guy but I feel the need to reiterate my opinion to those who believe something is up. Just because a microcap jumps 14% at the open, doesn't mean something is going on. This could purely be a new investor who wants in. We saw that a little over a week ago when it closed up 13% and then slid back down the following week and that very well could be what's happening now. No news is out. This stock is worth $20 in my opinion once all of it's applications are realized, but we have a road before we get there.
21money I feel what you're saying but is this really worth fretting about? It gained 13% in one day just a week ago over no news. Unless you sold, you didn't realize any gains then and you aren't realizing any losses now. This is the world of microcap biotech.
Same thing that caused the run to the .90's and then back down. Whether there is news behind the scenes or not, investors wanted in. Probably new investment - other people are possibly freeing up cash for other investments for the time being or have decided they are happy with the 300% gain they have already received.
What do you mean by "if the market cooperates" ? A micro-cap biotech stock is not going to follow market movement nor will it reflect market sentiment. GLTU
All,
In an attempt to keep our heads on straight. This may not have anything to do with upcoming news. While I certainly hope it is, I am trying to approach this with a bit of skepticism in that this could just be an investor who found ARTH later than a lot of us and has the money to open a sizable position. That is still positive in itself, and I am just as excited as everyone else, just trying not to expect something that may not be coming for a few more months.
moneymaker I wouldn't be so quick to accuse Regis of trying to drag the stock down for stating an opinion. If you had followed this board and his posts, you would know he is likely long the stock and is probably referring to the statement that they have enough money for the next 12 months because this board discussed their monthly burn rate not too long ago.
Any stock could come out with outstanding news.
Am I blind or did it happen a second time?
Did anyone just see that flash to +10% @ .65?
Got it, thanks Regis
Could you expand on this thought behind it being "fishy"? Excuse my lack of experience and ignorance. My thought is them covering a short position like that is a good sign, or am I way off?
My guess is that of the many investors that were able to get in at .20 are seeing this stock float in the .60's and would rather take a 300% profit (who could blame them) than "risk" waiting as they become more and more anxious about next steps and protecting their profits and basis.
Just to piggyback off Bryan.. they have to move one step at a time. I am sure Norchi and gang have a thought-out plan as to how and when they want to approach each step. Considering they don't have revenues yet, they have to seriously take the funding they have available into consideration in order to avoid serious missteps, toxic funding, share price deterioration, etc.
My mistake, thanks for clarification.
I could be wrong, but didn't they push CE to end of year vs. end of summer? If they burn 400k/month the math would be that they pushed out 1.2mm not 2.4mm.
I could be the only one that feels this way, but I'm not worried about things happening ASAP. Having come to the game later than some (current basis is .45ish) and being a small time investor, I'd rather have more time to accumulate shares.
I have to believe something we haven't heard will be mentioned at this conference - IMO it will be more details on results (good details) and that is what will bring in more investors.
There isn't a whole lot of information to discuss right now unless individuals are wanting to day trade this stock. I know I am just waiting to see what we hear at the Rodman Conference on the 12th.
