LOL, that was in reference to a lawsuit brought by Stephen Miller and his America First white supremist organization for firing a white guy.
Not even the ACLU would touch it.
nope. Insiders actually increased holdings. Any selling was mandated for tax purposes.
There's a spam pop up you need to X out of before getting to the article promoting RGTI along with BAIDU and Amazon.
Interesting article from last Saturday:
https://investorplace.com/2023/08/want-to-get-rich-3-game-changing-quantum-computing-stocks-to-buy-right-now/
Every one of these QC companies are at least 3 to 3 years out from attaining quantum advantage, meaning performing better than a classical super computer. The trick to that is fidelity (error rate). It doesn't matter how fast these things compute unless they have at least 99% fidelity. RGTI leads the rest in that regard. This is why I think they are a buy out candidate. IMO they are a strong candidate to be taken private and then re-emerge as an IPO a few years down the road. They have $120M in cash so a buy out of $1.50 to $2 a share would be an extremely attractive target and very lucrative for a buyer down the road. All IMO.
Actually this is kind of a no-brainer for a buy out. With over $100M cash someone could buy this for over $1 per share and get it almost for free.
There is at least 1 analyst (other than Needham) predicting that IBM is eyeballing this company as the two technologies are similar in product design, so the synergy would augment and expand IBM's technology and product base in quantum computing.
That said, I would not count on a sky high price. In my opinion around $4 per share, give or take is probably what to expect at most.
The trick here is to average down, which should not be difficult since it's trading at around .50 cents per share. Since the book value alone is over $1 per share because of RGTI's cash, it's almost a given that one can probably make a good profit by averaging down to $1 per share or less.
One other thing, RGTI has a FAB facility that manufactures their own quantum chips, which they just recently expanded. That would be a huge incentive to start looking at acquiring RGTI.
If one is thinking, why don't they just let RGTI fail and pick up the pieces at pennies on the dollar, that's unlikely. RGTI has cash to last several more years and that runway would allow them the time to develop product line and sales. In fact, it's predicted by some analysts RGTI will become at least break even within the next year or two.
I think this will probably be bought out within the next year. Below is an excerpt from Needham's current analysis which came out today:
The analyst thinks improving fidelity will attract willing investors when funding is needed, making the company a viable acquisition target.
Bolton applauded management's frankness about the new technological and operational strategies and believes these are necessary steps for the long run.
The stock is trading at ~1/2 net cash levels.
After Rigetti was voted out of the company by the BOD this tanked by 50%. Now they have a reputable CEO with a good track record that should be able to guide it forward. I see this easily rebounding back to around the $2 range next year which is a considerable increase from here. IMO there might be an acquisition of this company in the works as the new CEO guided his last company to a successful acquisition. Considering this is trading below book value with $160M in cash and 123M shares O/S, I would think this would make an attractive buyout candidate for a big corp. or partner in the quantum computing sector. Maybe Nvidia??
You do realize that all the upfront payments and tiered royalties have to be split with the labs that actually invented and produce these products. DARE is only the middleman. These details are all spelled out in the last SEC annual filing.
The best thing that could happen for us shareholders is that some big company that needs a pipeline will buy out this company and its entire complicated business model. Give me $5 a share and I'm happy. Reality wise, I think we could only get $3-$4 because they would need to come to agreements with all the labs that actually engineered all of the products. Either way, I'd be happy with any buyout because the business model as is could take a long time for DARE to break even or show a profit after splitting royalties with all parties involved.
Scott...I bought RESN because I always thought it was a potential buyout candidate. However, I did think it was worth more than $4.50 a share and still do. Trying to read through the mumbo jumbo legal wording in the SEC filings it looks like 4 other companies explored buying RESN, 2 of which it seems do not want to outbid Murata because of their own development products and 2 others don't think they can submit a bid within the timeline that Murata has established to finalize the buyout. So unless those 2 other companies can fast track a competitive bid offer I guess we are stuck with $4.50. I do see there were a number of lawsuits listed in today's (3/14/22) SEC amended filings related to the buyout.
Per announcement and 8K filing Murata will buy RESN for $4.50 per share.
Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On February 14, 2022, Resonant Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Resonant” or the “Company”), entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger (the “Merger Agreement”) by and among the Company, Murata Electronics North America, Inc., a Texas corporation (“Murata”), and PJ Cosmos Acquisition Company, Inc., a Delaware corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of Murata (“Purchaser”). Murata is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan.
Pursuant to the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Merger Agreement, Purchaser will commence a cash tender offer (the “Offer”) to purchase all of the outstanding shares of the Company’s common stock, par value $0.001 per share (the “Shares”), at a purchase price of $4.50 per Share, net to the tendering stockholder in cash, without interest and less any required withholding taxes (the “Per Share Amount”). Upon successful completion of the Offer, and subject to the terms and conditions of the Merger Agreement, Purchaser will be merged with and into the Company (the “Merger”), and the Company will survive the Merger as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Murata. At the effective time of the Merger (the “Effective Time”), each outstanding Share (other than Shares held by (i) the Company, Murata or their respective subsidiaries immediately prior to the Effective Time and (ii) stockholders of the Company who have properly and validly perfected their statutory appraisal rights under the Delaware General Corporation Law (“DGCL”)) will automatically be converted into the right to receive the Per Share Amount on the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Merger Agreement. Consummation of the Offer and the Merger is not conditional on Murata’s receipt of financing.
Thanks for being the board moderator and posting updated info on the page.
Per the last CC a contract for non-mobile filter designs with a Tier 1 customer should be getting inked any day if not already. This is different than the Murata deal signed a few months ago for an upfront $7M which potentially is worth $49M.
This tax loss selling is brutal. Looks like all the other 5G stocks are in the same tax sell off mode also.
True 5G doesn't exist yet as very little infrastructure to support 5G has been built. Your phone might be 5G but it is mostly running on 4G systems. Everyone is waiting for infrastructure bill to pass congress and once that does 5G stocks will take off. Chip shortage not helping 5G stocks either.
Excellent point! It was baffling and incomprehensible that some of the very people now claiming "foul" and "victim" were defending Megas and his clan as well as the subsequent players and schemes in all these scams. This went on for years. You Janice, were here almost from the beginning giving people undeniable facts and insights that people chose to ignore. Instead, "victims" doubled down and even donated MORE money to perpetuate and broaden this scam. Had we all banded together to fight Megas and clan, as well as his alias cronies on this chat board, especially when we had the ear of a congressional investigation, we may have settled this over 12 years ago. Instead, shareholders demanded to the congressional investigation that this scam trade again instead of demanding justice. In a way shareholders have only themselves to blame for acting on greed instead of justice.
Thanks Janice...for being the voice of reason.
So...looks like all analysts raised their price target to at least $6 and all maintained buy ratings. One has a price target of $12.
Never mind....RESN has XBAR not XBAW...sheesh..my bad.
Is Akts using RESN's XBAW technology to design filters?

I'm seeing a lot of sells and buys for pretty much the same amount. Wondering if these are wash sales and buys for tax purposes. MM's seem to be taking advantage of this and walking it down as a result which makes sense as they would probably like to make a profit on a wash buy/sell.
I'm kind of new to this stock and still trying to figure out how to value this...but I do know what you are asking (confirmation of buyout rumor) would be insider information not publicly released.
Question..Am I on the right path in thinking the patent announcement today is related to the lithium PR that came out last week? You seem to be fairly knowledgeable in this area of technology after looking at some of your previous posts.
https://pdfpiw.uspto.gov/.piw?PageNum=0&docid=10797675
Sometimes not sure if I should be invested in this as the technology is not in my realm of expertise and not sure I quite understand it. The patent news todays does sound good though.
https://pdfpiw.uspto.gov/.piw?PageNum=0&docid=10797675
Thanks for your replies. You may be correct about the confusing news release, that was odd.
Today's news release is encouraging. Wondering why they did not specify how much the milestone payment was unless it is incorporated into the 10/19 news release with Murata. I looked on Murata's web site and could not find today's release, only the one from 2019.
I'm still having a hard time trying to figure out the potential revenues for this company. Am I correct in thinking it is around 10% of the filter revenues of whichever company manufactures them using RESN technology?
The news yesterday regarding the patent using lithium is confusing. However, there is a need for 5G/6G technology in self driving cars which will be electric and could be why TSLA and the Lithium mining company are in the release also. So I'm guessing this could be a block buster market also. Not trying to pump, just trying to figure out how the patent news release fits. Any thoughts?
Any thoughts on new round of financing?
Seems like everyone should owe Janice Shell a measure of gratitude for all her objective posts and DD over the years. She has always been spot on.
Wow. Have not been on this board for many many years and surprised it's still going. Did it really take a couple decades for some on this board to figure out Megas and his clan were scam artist? Unbelievable.
How can they be burning through tens of millions in cash a year with a staff of 3 and no trials or expenses?
Reverse merged an empty shell into a company with $26M cash which disappeared, reverse split and dumped shares into that, reverse split again and dumped shares, all w/o adding 1 cent of value. Now they are delaying trials from this summer to next year. Someone tell me how this is not a scam that should be civil and criminally prosecuted.
So let's be very clear. Unless they guys infuse massive amounts of value into this company plus the $25M that disappeared into thin air when they reversed merged, somebody is looking at incarceration.
Why? This is a beyond a civil fraud to criminal. They r/m'd this company and it's $25M, which then disappeared, reverse split the shares into oblivion and gave insiders free shares. They dumped into that on fluff news and reversed merged again, dumping more shares. Not once single cent of value has been added to this company in the meantime. They put a statement in their SEC filing absolving themselves from bad decisions, but that only shows intent to defraud. Somebody is going to jail here.
There were only 12 million shares O/S before the R/S. These guys are either crooks or idiots, or both. Time to look into this. Company better have a good reason for this.
Wow! SEC filings stated they only wanted authority to Reverse split but only if necessary and that they have no desire to reverse split. 1 week later BOOM! Devastating reverse split on the heels of devastating reverse split last year, followed by massive stock sale essentially diluting original shareholders out of existence.
Hope I'm wrong and this is not a pump n dump. The potential for this kind of drug is astronomical if it's legit.
Yeah, this has all the indicators of a money laundering scheme. R/M of a few individuals who claimed to have bought the rights to a product which has already existed for decades in Europe. R/M obliterated the current shareholders and are now selling more shares. Not to mention, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE $26M THIS COMPANY HAD PRIOR TO THE R/M??? WHY WOULD THEY NEED OT SELL MORE SHARES TO RAISE CASH IF THEY TOOK THAT MONEY??
Current management better have something to show here really quick or this could be handed over to the DOJ/SEC for possible investigation. If this is not a scam current management now needs to prove it.
Anyone have any projections on value here regarding R/M?
Okay, I guess I'll answer my own question. I've done some research and contacted some people and there are no convertible debentures. This leads me to conclude that in my opinion accumulation is going on. If the phase 3 results are adequate we most likely have something here...again, my opinion.
Someone on Yahoo was posting that the price fluctuation is due to convertible debenture being converted. I may have missed it but I don't see anything in their filings reflecting that any convertibles were ever issued. Do you happen to know if this company has issued any? Thanks.
Oh and just an FYI for those that have not learned their lesson yet, any legitimate and reputable attorney will not ask for "donations", and in cases such as this would be contingency only.
