cliffy boy - I haven't sold and haven't posted for a long time simply because of the preponderance of dribble like yours that is posted here
hh - hope you enjoy the ride - I think it will be a good one
NO IDEA
cassie - you would agree with anyone that is negative EDIG - it's like Al Gore endorsing a candidate - THE KISS of DEATH
hh - I see, so you think Fred is not credible and by extension he will hurt EDIG share value - Fred and his team aren't going anywhere - so if you are correct then the pps of EDIG could crater resulting in less value yet you stay in the stock ?????
ff - dr moreau ????? - f10 set back - come on old stuff
ff - wow such insight ??? get over it - sheesh
lickily - I've heard that is a possibility
ff - glad you finally got it no more bluster
ff - excellent good for you
overdue - I've been in the stock since 1990 and adding all buying more all the time - lot's of $$$ in it - wouldn't expect too much the next few days - you are setting yourself up to be disappointed
overdue - OH WELL - I doubt they skimmed over it too fast you just didn't like what was said - -
ff - that's not the reason at all - it just tends to get a bit too blustery to give your commentary credence
ff - don't know
ff - F10 in the past kept adding features - may be the same now - but we won't know until F10/EDIG goes public with the reasons - your postulating is always interesting
ff - there you go making statements you can not possibly prove - think about it management is told by their partners what they can go public with, nda's -management has nothing gain by managing the news or allowing rumors to proliferate - they are held accountable by more than you or this board - they are held accountable by the NASDAQ , SEC and others - so try to understand shooting the messenger is being a bit emotional and blustery
moxa - the delay was caused by pulling the plug for now - not walking away from the product - guess that's how I should have worded it
moxa - the Rockwell Collins link should help IFE along nicely - the airlines now know logistics issues have been resolved
overdue - I understand your disappointment but as always try to place the blame where it belongs --F10 -- never forget Fred is only reporting what he is told by the companies EdIG is working with - he cannot say anything unless the company,F10 says he can - they pulled the plug not EDIG and we won't know the reason until F10 gives Fred the okay to go public
moxa - the cc sure seemed positive to me - good numbers and a nice look forward of known relationships
moxa - that guy descibed too many of the folks here - can't believe he's spying on this board - but it seems thats the only way he could have hit the nail on the head with regard to sooo many here
overdue - call F10 they seem to be the culprit
chwdrhed - very true and selling stock is a perfectly normal/acceptable event with public companies
ucansee - I understand EDIG has received payment for their work on the initial units - in the past F10 kept wanting more feature causing the delay - why now who knows - the only thing from the EDIG point of view is this delays the next generation of units and the revenues to EDIG from that work - this delay certainly does not reflect on EDIG
cassie - not at all - EDIG/APS do have a contractual sharing arrangement of revenues/fees regardless of who brings in the customer - this was put in place prior to ALK announcing they will deploying the IFE device - call EDIG for further info - you seem to think you are an enlightened person ??? enlighten yourself some more by calling EDIG and speak to Robert or Fred
ff - get real APS will most likely never have the $$$ needed to set up the needed logistics globally or be able to it in a timely fashion - Rockwell already has them in place - having Rockwell linked in makes it very possible for EDIG/APS to sign up large airlines because the logistics are in place - only EDIG does/will do refurbishing of units anyone else opening the box voids the warranties - APS has no technical expertise along those lines - should EDIG need help in the refurbishing of units they will farm it out on a fee basis - the evolution of players technologically will be up to EDIG
DOP we will never know the exact financial terms of each /any deal - this is true with all public/private companies - what is important is what the IFE device can mean to an airlines revenue which will result in I believe a number of airline buying this device - from what I know ALK has 700 IFE devices in service - let's assume only 600 are used daily and that the aircraft on the long trips are in service 18 hours per day and have 4 trips per day - the rental fee is $10 times 4 flights times 600 IFE devices equals $24,000 of additional revenue/day - 6000 IFE devices in service could equal $240,000 per day of incremental income - this does not include the annual fuel savings per aircraft estimated at $88,000/year do to no weight associated with the 2 miles plus of wiring typical for an embedded IFE system - doesn't include possible advertising revenues - lets not forget the $500,000 plus per plane for embedded IFE systems - seems many airlines would like this incremental income - if the rental fee drops to $5 it's still seems like the EDIG/APS IFE device makes sense
ff - conclusion based on no verfiable information, guess work - the lifes blood of all chatrooms - seems appropriate
ff - I'd be more inclined to look for news/ event since the moves were shortlived - IBZT did a larger move in sept and gave it all back - look for news/event
ff - I looked on bigcharts , daily charts for EDIG/PTSC/IBZT/PCBM they look flat to down April/May whereas INTC,DELL,MSFT,EBAY and other started an uptrend
rr - you must be frustrated with every stock you have ever purchased - no one will ever know how much EDIG is getting on any one customer - maybe by product lines/one time engineering fees / licensing fees etc. - look at any companies annual report - the revenue is not broken down and attributed to an individual customer , unless a companies revenue is nearly all from a single source and then it is usually mentioned as a percentage of the whole
FF - you are correct - way too much scrutiny/also every trade can be questioned by the buyer/seller to insure a proper trade
rr - it could be rockwell will handle that - seems to make sense - my understanding is that a secure computer will be set up and then those responsible for downloading etc will do so via a secure internet site requiring access codes etc
- yes EDIG can sell but it will always go through APS - unless as I it understand that should EDIG become disenchanted with APS, EDIG can then change the form factor of the player and not go through APS - remember the only thing that APS can lay claim to is the form factor of the Digiplayer - everything else belongs to EDIG - I also believe that any business outside the airline industry does not require EDIG use APS
ff- the arrangement I mentioned is how it has been set up - don't know what you call it - if they are acting as the OEM royalties probably do not apply - licensing fees ???
rr/chwdrhed - EDIG and APS have a revenue sharing arrangement on all IFE customers regardless of which one sells the customer - this is on going - that was set early on between EDIG and APS before the Alaska Air deal - what is unknown is it royalties or is EDIG/APS acting as the OEM's which would mean more $$ per unit than royalties - also more responsibilty is assumed as OEM to get the finished product manufactured, delivered to the end user etc.
owd3 - MSFT and INTC have the same problems
chwdrhed - sorry I thought you were saying someone supported hh's opinion - you are right it means little except to those looking to trade
chwdrhed - so it was shared ??? doesn't seem to support the conclusion that "friendly investors" dumped stock - plus someone was also buying at todays high levels maybe they are the "friendly investors ???
mh - doubt there is collusion among the "friendly investors"
SO ???
