fish: Didn't Givens say in the CC it was $2.9M new sales Q1?
in99flyers: No, sky isn't falling, but revenues aren't going to be great first two quarters. Will need really good 3rd and 4th quarters for 24 to beat 23.
in99flyers - did you listen to the CC? Givens said 2nd quarter will be similar to first. I think in the Q&A he said there was less than $3M of new sales in Q1.
Didn't you speculate the same thing for the annual report? Sell off would have been worse if people actually knew the numbers. I listened to the conference call and doesn't sound like Q2 is going to be any better. Daily chart was showing MACD Histogram Bearish Divergence, knew I should have sold all my shares, but didn't.
CHANDLER, Ariz. , May 14, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VirTra, Inc . (Nasdaq: VTSI) (“VirTra” or the “Company”), a global provider of judgmental use of force training simulators, firearms training simulators for the law enforcement and military markets, reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024
Is the 10k out yet? Asking ... for a friend.
Just sold 20% of holdngs @ 15.60. Sold 10% earlier this month in the 15s, re-acquired in the 13s and 12s. Kicking myself for not getting more when it got down near 11.
"Must be some insider trading going on. Selling off shares knowing bad earnings is upon us before it being publicly released. Not cool."
Good call! LOL!!!!
fish: The IVAS specultation had EVERYTHING to do with that run-up. There was no significant financial improvement to speak of. The most recent EPS that had been announced was $.05 (8/21), lower than the two previous quarters. The day it was announced IVAS would be delayed is the day PPS started tanking. Ferris was going on some investor podcasts at the time, I think guys you were crying about as being amateurs or lightweights. 😄
We beat the high from the late 2022 IVAS speculation run-up. Sustained high volume this time - someone's accumulating.
What ya' waiting for Dibbs - I already have the hat.
December 29, 2023 (Benzinga Newswire)
Lake Street analyst Jaeson Schmidt maintains VirTra (NASDAQ:VTSI) with a Buy and raises the price target from $9 to $13.
The price appreciation is nice, but even better is the sustained increase in volume over the past month or two. Starting to turn into a "real" stock.
fish: Maybe he was urgently in need of $720k 😁
Their sales always seem to be "hush hush" with agreements not to announce so I'm not expecting a change in direction.
Wow, looks like I picked the wrong resistance level. lol That's the way it goes; whenever it broke out in the past 20 years I'd think to myself "this is the time" that it takes off. Still sold my trading position but held some LONG. Maybe this is time - new CEO seems like THE guy - financials growing better than they have previously, I guess we'll see. Will we get a drift lower with 4+ months until the next financial report? History says yes but if this new CEO is THE guy then maybe we hold a decent PPS as support.
Full disclosure: Been averaging down my trading position down the past couple months, sold out today at 6.60 for some profit. Chart indicates some decent resistance at 6.50, and with no financials for another 4.5 months, I just will keep doing what I've been doing for almost 20 years. lol Still hold 20k - 30k shares in retirement accounts so if that big miltary contract hits I've still got some to take advantage. Best of luck to all!

Damn, at least they could have put the ticker symbol on the merch.
Roth MKM analyst Richard Baldry maintains VirTra (NASDAQ:VTSI) with a Buy and raises the price target from $13 to $14.5.
The gap is covered, time to move north. 😁
Full Disclosure - I bought some trading shares in VTSI the other day for 6.36. Didn't quite hit the low but hoping to get a pop from earnings report. MACD Hisotgram has been red for a pretty long stretch and although not a perfect bullish divergence there's enough of a case to be made that an up move is coming soon. I sold out too quickly last time in low 7s and missed run to 8s, but no one ever went broke taking a profit.
Twister: Reminds me of the Andrew Dice Clay joke....
"Little Boy Blue ...... he needed the money..."

Hey fish, I was out fishing and missed the dip, would have loed to get back in below 7 on my trading shares.
fish: This stock is like chicken little....
"This is the time price goes up and never comes back". I just keep selling trading shares when I get a decent profit, been working for over 15 years. Just keep doing what works, until it doesn't. "No one ever went broke taking a profit".
Full Disclosure: I sold my trading position yesterday, had accumulated sporadically in 4s and low 5s over the last several months. Still holding a decent amount long-term.
Someone unloaded a healthy amount in the morning to take it down below 6.
Schnied - He'd sell so much, it would be....
incalcalable.
Hey fish you were close on the revs, sold them a little short on the EPS. With their gain in efficiency a $10M rev quarter could be 0.15+ EPS.
"Given the light Q3 and decent backlog my expectation is a Q4 of $8.5million (slightly above the year ago $8.4million) and EPS of about 6 or 7 cents. I expect Q1 in mid-May to be a bit over $10million with EPS of about 10cents."
Hey Fish, Givens did not contibute to the presentation or Givens was absent?
bborden: Thanks for that seeking Alpha link. Note this paragraph at the end by the author: "Personally, I did purchase 500 VirTra, Inc. shares as a tracking position. This is merely for me to follow and as a motivator for research, as I am more inclined to do deeper research if I have at least something on the line. However, I do not intend to build a real position in VirTra, Inc. anytime soon."
fish: "I also have little patience for this sort of performance." lol How many years have you been here? Seems you have enough patience to hang around year-after-year even though this has always been the performance. C'mon man....
Given there was no PPS run-up to this release pretty much insured the numbers were going to be bad ... now a five month wait until the next earnings report. Ugghh.
I picked up a few thousand this week. Didn't think this would get below $6 let alone $5.
C'mon .. it's to de-escalate when Bigfoot attacks
Started accumulating small trading position in 5.90s expecting $6 to be the new long-term support area.
Full disclosure: Sold my trading shares late Friday at 6.01 - 6.04, will probably jump back in when the chart looks prettier.
Does it bother no one that the IRS is adding 87k employees and one of the job requirements is to be willing to use lethal force? Great that it's selling sims but on the other hand....
fish: You might want to check in to the Feb 23 5.00 CALLS, looked like Ask was less than $1, zero open interest right now. Gives you six months for something big to happen.
