Glad to see Zuckerberg supporting Coors. Is that a Coors Tall Boy he's drinking? :D)
Quite the acrobat.
Rose; my bad, if I said Amarin, I was mistaken. I'm assuming the University would be the one presenting the data.

Where do they come up with these names? Must be a chemistry thing. A whopping $48K every 18 months for an injectable. Wow, sign me up.
AMRN to present at AAIC July 28- Aug 1, 2024.
My questions are; Why so long in coming out with the data? If the results were Sig then wouldn't the results have been presented sooner? This is only my humble opinion. Like most natural remedies (Vascepa) it's a very subtle change to the human physiology IMHO. It would be fantastic if the results are stellar. We'll wait and see?
What's next? Heck baby aspirin shortens your life. Kind of hard to believe with these types of studies.
Excellent job as usual.
Still butt hurt over losing Per Wold Olsen & Karim the Shawarma King? Sarissa by far has exceeded the goals the previous management team didn't seem to have. And talk about giving a sheet about shareholders...I rest my case. No need to discuss this with someone bent upon airing his laundry.
Funds? I went back to work from March 18 to May 13, 2024. Short term employment. I was able to save some $$$. Also, I have a Home Equity LOC. I don’t want to use those funds because of the interest rates. Although timing is everything. The IRS wants their cut for sure. It’s like extortion. The Mafia?
Maybe you’re right about the news release? We all know how handy Captain Crunch is with slides :D)
Morning Cap; is this a slide you “made?” Or is this an actual slide from NHS UK?
I'm still waiting for your response about informing your doctor that he is infringing and getting his justification in writing? Unless of course he's a client or golfing buddy? Or your wife works with him in some capacity? Terrible thing to be culpable to such shenanigans.
Litigation? 2-3 years? $3-4B in damages? Hikma CEO gets canned? Amarin sues all 8 Generic companies? Amarins sues all infringing Insurance companies? Generics leave the IPE space. Amarin regains the US market. I'm willing to go another 2-3 years for this to happen. Heck we've been a train wreck since the Dusaster, why not wait it out? I'm with N7 (Sleven), I'm going to get some more funds and buy some more shares.
Morning Marjac, thanks for your clarification. What about the insurance companies? Aren’t they liable also for filing scripts that infringe?
Watched "Oppenheimer" on Prime last night...Wow!! I never read his history, just bits & pieces. Some similarities between what's happened with Vascepa and how the government & legal system can destroy one's reputation. It's worth the watch.
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and grandfathers.
If I'm not mistaken Joe... I thought I saw you driving that Ford Coupe... :D)
Great Group Little Feat, their lead singer passed on.
Since they're still commemorating D-Day in France. A friend sent me this little snippet. Google; "You could have heard a pin drop."
A group of Americans, retired teachers, recently went to France on a tour. Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on. 'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically.
Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. 'Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.'
The American said, 'The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it.'
'Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France !'
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained. 'Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-day in '44, I couldn't find a Frenchman to show it to.'
You could have heard a pin drop. !
When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of 'empire building' by The US.
He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have EVER asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.
You could have heard a pin drop.
I just looked up on Aetna website; Monthly premium for Vascepa through Aetna is $100 per month.
Vascepa is Tier 4, that sucks.
VASCEPA CAP 1GM
Covered
Tier 4: Non-Preferred Drug
I'm not an Aetna client, so I'd have to call an agent.
Looks like you'll be renewing your Passport... :D) Travel in winter, that way you'll miss the cold weather. Maybe take in a couple of American style "football' games.
Great news, thanks rmb. I've often wondered what the term S.A. means;
Sorry JASBG; JesseLivermore is not dead, at least I haven't heard that. I was just making a point that BioBill and JL were part of the fabric. Like Marjac stated, BioBill got "the band back together." JL was more crusty for sure, knew his subject very well. JL was also the reason I invested in Amarin. Last time I heard about JL was he was going to buy a fancy sportscar and live the good life in Florida.
Thank you Louie, I think this tribute should be posted somewhere befitting BioBill's contribution to this board.
We have no way of knowing how he felt to take his own life. It's obviously a very deep and personal thing to contemplate. The choice was Jason's to make. Those believing Jason won't get to heaven are living a false doctrine. His spirit lives on for sure. His family will feel his presence for years to come and remember the good. Just like this board. The JesseLivermore's, BioBill's, gone but not forgotten. They're gone from the board but not from our hearts.
I remember some years back Robin Williams took his own life when he found out he was diagnosed with Lewy body Dementia. People were in shock. Why would Robin Williams take his own life? Because he probably didn't want to burden his family and friends. The courage of Muhammed Ali with early on-set Parkinson's disease. He still fought on even though he was diagnosed early on with the disease. Let's face it, none of us will get out of here alive. Dr. Jack Kevorkian's famous quote; "Dying is not a crime." In reality it's a decision, are we going screaming or are we going peacefully?
Nuke
Thanks marjac, I was wondering what had happened to BioBill, now I know. He will always be remembered on this board. His wit and absolute dedication to this miracle drug will always be remembered. Prayers to his family. We will miss him.
Hmmm…sheltered? Ha ha, good one ram. I’m lucky I never spent more than a few hours in jail. Been fingerprinted and photographed. I guess you could call that sheltered. We settled arguments with our fists not guns.
that's insane!!! sounds like a one lunger Ford tractor. Too cool.
Balloons? I never heard of that one. Obviously they weren't inflated or maybe slightly inflated? I'll have to try that... :D) especially on my grandkids. Maybe some really thin spring steel would be cool? Might sound like a Chinese Vespa. I'm amazed, I was joking, but they really do make Chinese Vespa's. https://www.google.com/search?q=china+vespa&oq=chinese+vespa&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgDEAAYFhgeMgkIABBFGDkYgAQyBwgBEAAYgAQyBwgCEAAYgAQyCAgDEAAYFhgeMggIBBAAGBYYHjIICAUQABgWGB4yCAgGEAAYFhgeMggIBxAAGBYYHjIICAgQABgWGB4yDQgJEAAYhgMYgAQYigXSAQk4Mjk4ajBqMTWoAgiwAgE&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
It's not me you have to be afraid of pissing off. It's the Goon Squad. Big Brother is watching.

I recall baseball cards too, but they came later. I would put baseball cards on my kids Big Wheels. Just something about kids and fire.... a lethal combination. Gasoline on ant hills. We'd stuff firecrackers down ant holes. Cherry bombs in mailboxes and trash cans just to watch the lids get blown off.
A small fizzle, like we did as kids. We would take bicycle tire spokes and stuff the heads with matches and heat up the spoke and a small flame would shoot out. :D) . Kids nowadays, don't know what fun is. marbles, hopscotch, tetherball, four square, playing with the girls.
Thanks Capt;
What's up with London? Glad to see at least the Birmingham (working class) area has at least a good foothold. nada for Liverpool?
Population centers:
London: 7,556,900
Birmingham: 984,333
Liverpool: 864,122
Other large cities in England include: Nottingham (729,977), Sheffield (685,368), Bristol (617,280), Leicester (508,916), and Edinburgh (464,990).
Denner, smart man, don't show your hand, give them (markets) only what is required by law, such as Quarterly reporting. Kind of reminds me of the years preceding the results of the Reduce-It trial up through September 2018. Amarin was under $3, I would buy shares every paycheck.
Isn't Hindsight a great thing? We all know now what should have happened. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.... Intelligent savvy marketing minds needed to distinguish and separate any connotation that Vascepa was derived from Fish oil and that it was basically EPA (when it was icosapent ethyl) a different molecule altogether. We all know now that Vascepa should have been marketed as icosapent ethyl period. I know at the time Amarin management wanted to be helpful, but....? Almost downplay the fact that icosapent ethyl came from fish oil at all. That it was a purified by-product of EPA perhaps. Keep people guessing. Usually when you give people too much information, they'll simply go with what ever is the easiest to remember. I worked with a lawyer who was doing litigation for my USTA company. Because I was providing him the "Request For Information" (RFI), I would provide him with more detailed information than was asked for. His advice to me was; "Pablo, if you remember anything, you must remember to provide only what the Commission asks for, nothing more." I understood his point.
Like Tylenol, you don't call it Acetaminophen, you really don't say that it destroys your liver or that it's bad for diabetics, etc. Tell me how great it works.
I picked up shares for .8618... as I had a limit order in @ .87. My original limit order was @ .86, but it seems there's support there at least. E*TRADE doesn't allow market orders for Amarin shares under $1.
Probably not since Vascepa has been labeled as "fish oil." You know what they say about first impressions? They stick with you.
Congratulations, and you’re still as sharp as an axe…!!!
Man, I really need to take up Spanish as a second language. SSL
It’s all those Wiernerschnitzel’s they eat. Basically a chicken fried steak smothered with gravy and mashed potatoes.
Can you say “snausages?”
I agree Captain; my Dad was very underweight when he died. He was drinking Ensure protein drinks. Of course he smoked Pall Malls for over 20 years after the WW II. He died at 91. His heart gave out... period.
Another case in point; many moons ago, the Instructor for my EMT class was a paramedic. He told us stories about going on calls. One particular call was for a 78 year old man. Excellent shape, exercised everyday. "Bam" got a heart attack at home. The man died on the way to the hospital. The one providence the paramedic told us was; that when transporting this patient to the hospital, the man said "I'm going to die." When the paramedic heard these words, he was shaken, these are words no paramedic or emergency personnel want to hear. The lesson we learned that days was; When patients think they're going to die and they convince themselves they're going to it usually happens. So, maybe it's attitude that's the "number 1 killer."
I don't doubt that obesity plays a major role in bringing on CVD events. I'm of the opinion it's all about attitude that's the biggest factor in our health issues today. Being a smoker is bad for you, do smokers really give a rats behind about quitting? Do people who are obese when told by their doctors to lose weight and start exercising, really give a rat about quitting eating fast food, jelly doughnuts and letting that treadmill they got for Christmas continue to collect dust in the garage?
Coronary heart disease has increased according to this article; https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24811552/#:~:text=The%20increase%20in%20heart%20disease,as%20documented%20by%20autopsy%20studies. Mainly due to coronary atherosclerosis. Further on they attribute increased CVD events to obesity and diabetes, both lifestyle issues. If you look at old photos from WW II, there were no "fat" people in those photographs or very few.
Your argument with Tatsumaki is a no win situation. It's a chicken vs the egg scenario. Which one comes first? I'd put my money on lifestyle. The coroner in his autopsy report is going to say what? The man died of obesity or did the man die from a heart related event? In the nuclear world we call this either a Chronic condition or an Acute condition. (Chronic) long term effects vs (Acute) a very serious or high dosage event. No doubt CVD events are brought on by being overweight, but are they the major cause? Being overweight is a chronic condition it has long term effects. Dying of an overdose is an Acute event. Neither of you is going to win this argument. IMHO
You’re spot on. Doctors are prescribing generic because 1) either they’re stupid or 2) insurance companies are pushing back on DAW which is infringing.
We all know the gory details.
Congratulations on your baby girl. My youngest daughter just turned 24. I was 48 when my wife delivered our daughter.
Vascepa works!!!
I wonder what the "MONKEE'S" are doing? I heard Mickey Dolenz the other day on Sirius radio. He was playing an acoustic guitar. Sounded good. We need more shows like the Monkees, some of these sitcoms are ridiculous, the writing is terrible. I can't understand why people watch these shows. Where's Seinfeld? Cheers? M.A.S.H. "Hey, hey...we're the Monkees, people trying to put us down, but, we're too busy singing, to bring anybody down." How true.
