Guys, stop talking about the quarterly reports. None of that really matters when you're dealing with 1)disrupting technology (ie. trusted computing), 2)the CEOs lying, which I thought was a crime, so no way they would be doing it quarter after quarter (wrong), and 3)big companies and govt announcing deals and wins (yes, no numbers attached most of the time).
It was not obvious, period, especially given what was said above so please stop acting like it was cut and dry for years. Many big names involved with Wave's tech. Why? And again, we were led to believe our so-called patents were strong, which easily should've valued the company at twice the price that last year. So again, we were lied to. Then one CEO says the ex-CEOs pipeline was bullshit. Again, how could a class action suit not be viable here?
When you look at it all in totality (the so-called patents on disrupting technology, a first mover, $400 million or whatever spent, the Dells, Samsungs, PWCs, and the govt trials and wins), it seems insane that they couldn't even sell for less than a buck a share?? Just stinks to high heaven still and pisses me off he/they could get away with it as well. And yes, I look in the mirror often, but shouldn't we be able to trust CEOs when laws are in place?
> how can Safeend possibly end up with a claim/money when we owned them??
> I still don't get how Steven is not in jail for basically lying since 2003, or that there's no basic for a class action??
> anyone have Steven's email address?
Dell done yet?
Maybe I heard the last SKS concall wrong, or next to last, but I thought Dell revs were supposed to be done by now?? I was a bit shocked to see another 1.6 loss from Dell. So, anyone have an idea of how much of the 4.4 is still Dell?
TheWizard
good pt, but if you can't even find high level terms like 'trusted computing' or 'remote attestation', it's pretty worthless then, heh?
Framework = no trusted platform?
So, searching thru the new govt cybersecurity framework release, and the NIST referenced in it often, I find no evidence of Trusted computing, remote attestation, etc......so is that proof Steven has been blowing wind up our ass all along?
Also, the recent Wave-Lenovo posting....anyone else notice that was on the Lenovo OUTLET site. Doesn't that usually represent crap you are getting rid of?
Please save us Solms from this 15 year nightmare!
Thank you NewWave. Good to hear. Funny Barge. ;o)
OH BOY, we're almost at 40 cents pre-split. Pathetic.
Maybe nothing, but Cavuto just said that Dell will be talking about their "hack-proof' computer on his show at 8pm tonight. Led additionally with the company taking advantage of the Snowden events. Could be interesting, or not.
Sort of oops...just realized again DMI is a partner. Sorry been crazy morning. Of course, that doesn't mean anything concrete either, does it. Based on the price not shooting up or down, it appears everyone else is still in the fog as well. Just gotta love how this company is clear as mud.
So DMI got the mobile gov't contract and nobody is posting about it? Anybody contact Steven on this? Sure hope this doesn't portend even more future bad news. Great job Steven!
So do I got this right....our original shares, that once hit $50 when we had nothing, are now worth about 10 CENTS and we're in the middle of trusted computing, heh? Great job Steven! Unbelievable.
Old? Has Crucial mentioned Wave before? Just in case....
" The Crucial M500 SSD is a self-encrypting drive (SED) based on the rigorous standards established by the TCG Opal specification. Combined with applications like Microsoft BitLocker or Wave Systems’ EMBASSY Trust suite...."
http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-Inch-adapter-Internal-CT480M500SSD1/dp/B00BQ8RHJ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368291599&sr=8-1&keywords=Wave+SED
Also nice to see the CMS Wave Editions on Amazon too. Mass proliferation is around the corner once those tablets hit. ;o)
Just an fyi....although I'm still awaiting ability to purchase product in STL area, my buddy/investor is buying it at gas stations and Walgreens near Cleveland. Always good to hear of actual purchases. ;o)
Thx again Steven, and the BOD, for screwing us longs yet again. You suck! Financing at 50 cents with 62 cent warrants? Really?! WTF! You apparently have the best product in an industry dying for a solution and YOU STILL HAVE TO FINANCE at 50 cents?? Please move aside for the sake of all of us!
Thanks Awk. Sorry about that....I just figured it wasn't much of a leap since they both are under the peer-to-peer communication umbrella of sorts.
The underlying tech in this new company seems like it would be similar to that used by Scrambls. However, I bet this great idea generates $50 million well before Scrambls. http://www.clickwithmenow.com/
I believe the Tobi release is the signal to sell while he gets ready for the next pump, like he did with Vela. I really like Pulse but I don't trust that dude as the pattern is similar.
DoD to purchase 650,000 Apple devices.....
Can someone explain the apparent disconnect between DoD buying these 'unsecure', proprietary devices and the recent Wave RFI that was basically a game, set, match for them? As far as I know, if it's Apple, it's not going to be Wave, no?
http://www.electronista.com/articles/13/03/20/sequester.holding.up.purchase.intended.to.replace.failing.devices/
Thx player. Wasn't aware of that. Still, is that good practice to wait until last day for most normal companies?
Never mind. Doesn't matter obviously, just curious. Slog on!
I believe it's common knowledge that bad quarters are released Friday afternoon to allow the weekend to make you forget, ha. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has heard that notion, hence my question about Monday. Of course, maybe it's also proof of an incompetent CEO who doesn't even know that too.
Curious...anyone venture a guess on why they would report such a horrible quarter on a Monday? Perhaps it's possible they knew they could quell the sell-off with imminent news, right? So we'll have big news this week! Yep, that must've been reason. ;o)
On a positive note, we should know where we stand in 6 months (wait, haven't we been there done that, lol). I am certifiable at this point most likely.
Amazing, all the good shit is coming out of Europe still. Hey, let's make him the damn CEO!
I don't even know where to start....
> can someone explain the impairment charge of $7.5 million on Safeend.....I must remember wrong because that's more than we paid, no?
> Snackass thinking close to breakeven? LOL...wow, talk about mind blown
> no mention of DoD or Samsung in release....now we're relying on Windows 8 tablet business only.....see how it's always something new to keep us hanging on another 6 months.
WTF Steven! Will say one thing that actually happens!! Amazing.
TheWiz
LP, that's all just part of the game. Get some lacky/friend to write a fringe 'hype' piece the week before a CC, watch the day traders start the pump and appearance of something big about to happen, and then sell shares (ATM) to keep going. Then, on the cc, he can say it's just around the corner!
Like most, after 15 years, this is all very tiring, and for once, just once, I'd like one thing to come true on time.
TheWiz
hi alea,
Why would he really be cutting back for 6 months though? So he can breakeven? No, that was never his goal before and I don't think it changed the last 6 months. He saw the runway getting much longer, most likely because they either started losing deals he thought would be there, or maybe it's just because Windows 8 became the "wait until next quarter" type milestone.
On one hand, I ask myself "why don't we have a strategic investment from a Dell, Msft, or Samsung, like 25%, to fund the initial growth spurt and to put some real belief behind little ole wave", and on the other hand, I'm like "great, Steven wants it all and the Samsung deal gives him some cred".
This quote, "The trick is conversion to sales to support the scale of market attach everyone is demanding.", coupled with the 6 months can mean 1 of 2 things. One, the big customers want to feel comfortable Wave can handle their giant needs asap and wave hasn't been able to prove that the last 6 months, or two, Steven thinks he can't get the money for quick growth anymore?? And that just doesn't make sense if we're "the leader".
Boy, it's so much fun having to read between the lines for 15 years, huh? ;o)
TheWizard
Ref the SKS reply....funny how posters like pondugar are called negative when he's probably much closer to reality. Snackman is like the mainstream media over there making sure the view of truth is his truth. Frankly, I used to get excited by email replies from SKS but I'm pretty sure there's been enough disappointment not to believe anything anymore.
One thing I'm wondering about, hidden in the message that nobody else has mentioned, is it seems like customers aren't trusting a small company like Wave to keep up with the demand and service them appropriately, and are possibly going to bigger names for their trusted needs. Hence, it sounds like he's losing his arguments the last "6 months".
Hope I'm wrong, but sounds like the fears from many years ago may be coming true and that somebody bigger is going to eat our lunch (and that's all because it's taken so damn long). I still hold out for the fact that Samsung signed for a reason.
TheWizard
Maybe this is old news and I missed it when it came out, but when did they give up on Scrambles and IE as a plug-in? Apparently, they can't get it to work and are trying to get it to work as an app only. Not detrimental, of course, but interesting and may explain any delays.
Uh, Wave could've had hundreds of small deals without us knowing about it, right? Just saying. ;o)
I just can't believe that here I am, in another late December, thinking 'Next year is the year'! Although I've been with wavx for 15 years, I've seriously thought the 'next year' thing is really it for the last 5 years. I must be certifiable for listening to a bullshitter CEO.
Not getting any younger Steven!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
TheWiz
Shouldn't we be concerned that Wave didn't win in many of those other categories??
Just glanced thru the transcript....so nobody asked about Steven's repeated prediction of $40-$50 million for the year? Amazing that did not come up as he seemed so sure of it last quarter still and now it's not even mentioned? Talk about epic fail as a CEO.
.
How are we supposed to judge his credibility now? Oh, I know, wait another quarter, it's just around the corner. Arggghhh.
Cripes, he's back to using the word 'cool'. God help us.
This is either proof that Steven is not a CEO, or he's going to pull $30 million in Q4 out of his a** to save his credibility.
"a large client will not give their business to wave"?? I hope we can get more news from those ma & pa samsung companies then. (yes, the revs will come, just like they did for those not-so-large clients before them). And no, I'm not too happy about all things wave either, but you just go ahead and short away because you can make a great profit riding it from .65 to .20.

Was this slideshow posted earlier...LSEC June 2012
I can't remember if this was same one from InfoSec so figured I'd post before I waste more time trying to prove.
Back to slogging in meantime. ;o)

Gee, I'm so glad we kept the current BOD and kept the share price from tanking! Great decision there S______!
Should I have received proxies by now? WTF I have 3 accounts with Fidelity and haven't received a one (via mail or digital). Anyone else still waiting on Fido as well? Thx.
TheWizard
Hey micro...let's just say it's all still less than a year old. And again, it could be coincidence and possibly bad implementation, but it's been horrendous and I'm still using quite a few passwords. Really looking fwd to device authentication in my daily life!
Having said that, I'm hoping nobody can catch up to us soon, and that the GMs, Boeings, PWs of the world make it a much easier future for wave's sales guys. It's definitely taking longer than it should, or so it seems.
After experiencing the effects of McAfee Endpoint Encryption firsthand, I wouldn't touch anything they do. Our company implemented and in the last year, 50% of my immediate team has had hard drive crashes as total losses. Coincidence? I think not. I've heard the amount of problems company wide have been ginormous. Anyway, just throwing it out there as a koolaid drinker who rather be utilizing wave. ;o)
