No, she is not. Actually, I have never left the board. Like many old timers, I read the board everyday and I continue to buy more WAVX stock, but I don't post. I continue to believe that those who have been patient will be well-rewarded.
A healthy and prosperous New Year to all Wavoids.

Can we put this cash flow positive/breakeven issue to rest.
Following is copied from 4 q conference call transcript at the top of this board:
"Collins: All right. Thanks. I guess one question that's probablyweighing on everyone's mind is that you appear to have reached financial stability. And so I think everyone would like to know what are your plans for raising capital? And how do you see the future of the financial progress of the Company?
SKS: We have no short term plans for raising capital. We're very pleased that Q1 will definitely be our first quarter where we are cash flow positive from operations in the history of the Company. And we certainly hope that subsequent quarters will be as well. "
SKS clearly said cash flow positive.
Definition of positive cash flow: Normal situation where the cash inflows during a period are higher than the cash outflows during the same period. Positive cash flow does not necessarily means profit, and is usually due to a careful management of cash inflows and expenditure

I have been reading and thinking all day about this proposal
I think the number of shares in the options pool is obscene
Can't imagine why anyone would need a 500,000 share option with a company that is on the cusp of greatness
But, mostly I am concerned about the potential for abuse.
SKS could go a long way to alleviate my concerns if he would public state that neither he or any member of the Sprague family, nor Feeney will receive more than 100,000 stock options until the company reaches break even. That is equivalent of 300,000 pre-split, which is an enhancement over the last plan. If he is unwilling to state that, than I am suspicious of intentions.
Let's not forget, we will likely need to do another round of financing. At this rate, soon we may well have as many outstanding shares as we did pre-split and no appreciation in the stock value. Not a happy thought.
And, for those who would say that wavoids who are concerned about this proposal and are questioning management should sell their shares if they are not happy. I say be careful when you say that. Given the number of shares help by frustrated wavoids, I wonder if you and SKS realize what an impact it would have on the stock price if all who were unhappy did sell. My guess is that it would result in a substantial decline in the stock price, which would result in having to sell more shares to raise additional funds and lead to more dilution, etc., etc., etc.
Back to lurking.

Ramsey - Recognizing Revenue
There are several approaches that can be used to booking and reporting revenue, depending on how conservative a company is in their financial statements.
Following is from a Motley Fool Piece. This is excerpt. The link to the entire article is at the end of this piece
"Fortunately, the SEC has taken action to tighten the rules. These new rules, adopted last year, will finally go into effect starting in 2001. In the case of sales of goods, they will require that revenue recognition be delayed until a number of events have occurred:
There must be a bona fide purchase agreement between buyer and seller
The product must have been delivered
The buyer must have taken title to the product and assumed all risks and rewards of ownership
The seller's price to the buyer must be fixed and determinable
There can be no side agreement giving the buyer the right to return the product, or obligating the seller to either repurchase it or guarantee the resale value of it
Collectability of the sales proceeds must be reasonably assured
It should be noted that other criteria apply to other types of revenue such as services, rental income, and licensing income."

None of us knows for sure why they are proposing a reverse split. It could be a good thing or it could be a bad thing. We simply don't have enough information to know which it is. I hope for the best, fear the worst. It could be Nasdaq issue, it could be that it won't happen because of some great and glorious PR, it could be that they can't raise cash without doing it and they need a lot of cash.
I believe that the management has not managed money well. Too much sucked out by management, too many expenses given the financial condition of the company. Simply put,IMHO, have not been prudent when it comes to money. That, however, doesn't mean the company won't succeed and make us all rich. We have all known that this is a high risk investment. Well, now it is time for the rubber to hit the road. I for one plan to stay the course.
Those who are certain of the worst should sell now, otherwise I suggest everyone else chill out. The die is cast and we will know soon whether we will all meet in Vegas.
Good luck to us all

I want to thank you and others who provide such incredible dd on this board. I bought long time ago... got greedy and watched it hit 50 and held tight as it dropped all the way down. It is because of information from you and others that I didn't sell and take a huge loss. I am waiting for it to go to 50 again. Nobody has been able to predict the timing, but it is clear that the dots are creating a rainbow that has a pot of gold at the end of it. So, I thank all of you. I wish it had happened sooner as I am waiting to retire you, but I can hardly blame you for that.

It has been an interesting and challenging week, to say the least. I suspect it may again get challenging. In light of that, I thought some of you might find value in the following. Timeframes may be a bit different, but other than that. . .
The following is a partial copy from RB post #126153 by MaddDawg
"Anyone that gets so nervous that they cannot wait as long (as short) as another month or two should reconsider their fortitude for investing.
If you look at any of the huge money-making stock market stories over the last ten years and you wonder - boy it was so easy - just invest $100 in Dell and take out $750,000 five years later - why couldn't I have gotten in on that?
The answer is you could have, but most people are too blind, too squeamish, too quick to panic, too quick to take short-term profits, too near-sighted to envision the true magnitude of the "down the road" potential, too easily excited by "positive posts" while at the same time too easily vexed by the "negative ones" to realize what they have in front of them until it's gone.
There are no "sure things" but some are closer than others. Many of the most successful investors wear "blinders", ear plugs, whatever it takes to remove themselves from the daily grind of pessimism and the weekly/monthly grind of volatile stock swings as they go by their instincts.
Study any of the most successful stocks over the last 3 years and chart what was being said about them "then" and how investors were reacting to those words "then" and compare that to where they are "now." and you will see some startling contrasts."

As good a reason for the increase as I could find until your post. (smile)

OT Happy Thanksgiving to All
Today is a day we look back and give thanks for what has been.
And so, I want to take this opportunity to thank this community. I have spent so much time on this board that it has influenced who I am. I have learned much from many of you and I am grateful for your generosity and willingness to share your time and talents. My best to all of you and your families and loved ones.
I want to add thanks to the many brave Americans who are serving in the armed services. No matter how one may feel about the war in Iraq, the willingness to put oneself in harm's way in service to others is the highest sacrifice.
What we are as a country has been possible, in large measure, to brave women and men who have been willing to put themselves at risk to serve in the military. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice and many are disabled for life. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for them and their families.
Wavoid=Wonderful. A toast of Thanksgiving to you all.

I recognize that some institutions can't buy below a certain price, but we do have some institutional ownership now. If that is the case, there must be some instutions that can buy at these prices. At least it seems logical to me. In addition, some have added over the last year, so some must be able to buy.

I knew I shouldn't have entered the fray, but.. I find value in what both have to say. I totally agree that Barge=Bombastic. I factor that in when I read his posts. I don't have a problem.. I just wanted to tell both of them that I value what they bring to the board. While I may agree with SL, based on the evidence, that doesn't mean that I don't find value in Barge's continuing presence on the board.
P.S. Awk, you are way too logical. I said what I said becuase people aren't also logical when they are in a disagreement with someone.
LadyX
Barge, SL, etc
Some comments and advice from an old lady. First of all, I gain enormously from what you both have to say. Barge, you make me think, and think and think. SL, you help me understand. You have the ability to put things in a context that non-techies can understand.
I have been around the block a few times and I have been on our local city council for 26 years. The speakers and dialogue on this message board frequently remind me of the speakers and dialogue at our Council meetings. Some we rely to have great details and very accurate facts, some provoke us to think, some just provoke us. There are those with agenda's, those who like to disagree, those who like to think outside the box... you get what I mean. Sometimes we have very heated debates. (Once I was accused of not having balls.. so for the next year I kept a pair of brass balls in plain site at my council seat. I suggested to my colleagues who me of not having balls, that my balls were on the table and I would like to seem him do the same. We are still great friends.) But, I digress.
What I really want you to get out of this is that people have different styles of communication, can disagree without being disagreeable. We don't make personal attacks and when people disagree with our ideas, we don't take it personal.
It is interesting to me that sometimes a poster(not necessarily you two) will post something.. someone will disagree... a debate will ensue.. evidence for various positions will be provided and inevitably it will deteriate into i'm right, your wrong, as if they are trying to convince the board. What they seem to fail to recognize is that most of us can read these posts and decide for ourselves.
Maybe the intensity that leads to both of you being so valuable to this board is also what causes you to be so certain and so upset (sometimes) when others don't agree with you or your level of certainty.
At this time when I think we are truly on the cusp of great things, I would hope that you would both stick round. SL,
I don't think it is about Barge winning. You both bring much to this board. Barge, buy a suit of armor.
Both of you... build a bridge and get over it.

What an experience. I am so happy that things worked out so well for you. Thank you for sharing and encouraging others to have a stress test. One can lead a healthy life style and still be at risk. I had a heart attack. Fortunately, it did not do a lot of damage. I don't lead the healthiest life style, but the doctor told me the most important issue for me was stress. So you guys and gals who eat well and stay fit... don't forget to take time to "smell the roses." And, for the women... our symptoms can be significantly different than for men. Learn what they are because some docs are still behind the eight ball on signs of cardiac distress in women.
Best wishes to you.

OTOT Kev-- Snack owes no one an apology....
"to call a spade a spade" is NOT an ethnic slur.
It derives from an ancient Greek expression: _ta syka syka, te:n skaphe:n de skaphe:n onomasein_ = "to call a fig a fig, a trough a trough". This is first recorded in Aristophanes' play _The Clouds_(423 B.C.), was used by Menander and Plutarch, and is still currentin modern Greek. There has been a slight shift in meaning: in ancient times the phrase was often used pejoratively, to denote a rude person who spoke his mind tactlessly; but it now, like the English phrase, has an exclusively positive connotation. It is possible that both the fig and the trough were originally sexual symbols.
In the Renaissance, Erasmus confused Plutarch's "trough"
(_skaphe:_) with the Greek word for "digging tool" (_skapheion_;the two words are etymologically connected, a trough being something that is hollowed out) and rendered it in Latin as _ligo_. Thence it was translated into English in 1542 by Nicholas Udall in his translation of Erasmus's version as "to call a spade [...] a spade". (_Bartlett's Familiar Quotations_ perpetuates Erasmus' error by mistranslating _skaphe:_ as "spade" three times under Menander.) "To call a spade a bloody shovel" is not recorded until 1919. "Spade" in the sense of "Negro" is not recorded until 1928. (It
comes from the colour of the playing card symbol, via the phrase "black as the ace of spades".)
