Yes, I saw the dilution. But it was also short covering. Between the two, the stock never had a chance. Usually, after a day like today, they let it go up for a few days. Tomorrow should be better for the longs.
The company is as frustrated about the MM's as we are. You noticed he re-released the PR's in the middle of the day trying to get enough buying going to force the MM's to cover at higher prices. It'll go soon.
If we had garnered enough buying pressure, we would have had a short squeeze today. However, bag-holders started dumping at around .005, and the MM's were able to regain control. There is always tomorrow.
It's down with great news because the MM's were so short in it they couldn't afford to let it go up.
Well, the MM's held it down today. Big fills just before the close. They are shorting a smaller and smaller percentage of the total volume. If it stays up (the volume) we might jump past them tomorrow or the next day.
I called the company number listed in the financial information. A man named Hassan answered. He said he was a tech support specialist. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to. He said that he couldn't send me to anyone and that he had to help a customer. He said I could call back and he would let it go to voice mail.
I don't know what's going on, but I do know that at least they have tech support.
Mostly, I think you guys talk too much. Why don't you either sell or wait, but quit beating the stock up. If it's doing anything, it's helping to drive the price down.
Even the SEC explains that Viper relied on a letter they thought was valid from a lawyer they didn't know was a crook. The Viper Transfer Agent(MM)was even fooled by the letter. Bashers, get a grip. Looks to me like Viper is taking advantage of the lesson they learned by going fully reporting and making sure the companies they work with now are legit (doing the DD, even if it takes longer than expected).
VPER will run again. It just may take some time. It all depends on what the company does. Yes, they will have to promote it, which they have done in the past. IF they are legit, they will have the opportunity to do it again. Hopefully for the longs and bagholders, it will be soon.
This time of year, however, even promoted stocks often don't do well. There just aren't as many buyers. For the next three or four months, mostly only P&D's do anything, and even they don't usually live up to expectations.
If you are long, quit bitching on here so you don't scare folks off. I've read enough negative stuff here from whining longs to make sure it didn't run again. If you are a bagholder, you probably know life, and trading, go on. The best of us end up holding the bag sometimes (often). Trading success or failure often hinges on whether or not you have the money and patience to wait for a stock to run again.
I'm neither long or a bagholder. I believe the company has enough going for it that it will run relatively soon. I like to get in a stock before the promo's and hype start. Just one of my strategies that usually pay off. I do usually sell when it runs though.
At any rate, here you are. Do what you have to. Just stop all the bitching and moaning. You bought the stock. Now either dump it and take your loss or hold it for a future profit, but shut up.
I'm surprised at you guys. Romney, Ron Paul, or Obama. It doesn't matter. they are all bought and paid for. Non of them going to do any good. Just talk. How many Bush's, Obama's, Romney's Newt's Clinton's does it take for you guys to get the message? Coruption!
I tweeted. Twitter very quiet this morning, but it'll come. I'm expecting more news within a few days, too. Should have a whole new run. People will see, and want to get in before it spikes.
Finally. The MM's are not manipulating today. The stock is free to go up!
Looks like the MM's dropped it right back down where they want it. Too bad we didn't quite get enough action yesterday to squeeze those suckers.
MM's lose if there's a squeeze. Anyway, I gotta go back to work. You guys have a good day, and think it over. And PLEASE, stop with the stuff that makes you sound so innocent. It's one crooked somnabitch in the penny stock market, and only promoters and MM's have the power to be crooks. WE gotta do what we can to get along...
I'm not here to be nice. I'm here to make money. Pump it enough at the right time, and only the MM's lose.
Yeah, lots of us are all in. We need to push the hell out of it on Twitter and the other boards the day the company releases news. So, I can reach a few thousand on Twitter. Who else can do Twitter or Facebook and who can do other boards?
Charts and level 2 would mean something if the manipulation wasn't so bad. If I could go back and count how many times I've read, "It's thinning, WE gonna GO!, or The chart is perfect, it's gonna scream tomorrow!" in the last three weeks, I bet it would add up to more times than shares that have sold today. As long as the MM's are shorting 50% or 75% or even 10% of the total volume, those things don't mean jack. So, lets really promote the stock and show them what a squeeze at those levels of manipulation can do for investors. How does 0.25 or 0.50 in a couple of hours sound to you!! With enough buyers, it's sitting there waiting for us.
Jeez! how much experience do you guys have? This is NOT bid whacking. It's MM manipulation! They have naked shorts to fill. I can't believe the level of naivete' on these boards. The banks are crooked and the market is RIGGED, remember. Yeah, this stock will go up, AFTER the MM's fill their shorts or we get enough buys to create a squeeze.
I've said it over and over. Charts, Level 2, NOTHING means anything as long as the MM's have shorts to fill.
I've been saying it over and over. MM manipulation. For this stock to go up, we either have to generate a short squeeze, or the MM's have to stop all the manipulation, I'm for the squeeze.
Yes, the shorting was lower today. In fact, it looked for a while like the buying was going to get out of control of the MM's. They did lose control for a while, but as the buying faded, they took control back and ran it down to where it closed. Unbelievable number of shares purchased for so little price increase. They just hold it down while they buy to cover. IF it keeps going until news, and IF we get enough attention at that time, and IF the MM's keep shorting, we just might get a squeeze.
I love reading you guys' posts. It doesn't matter which board you are on, longs talk as if every stock is going to make them millions. Facts don't seem to play a part in their dreams. Yes, I believe VPER will make us some money. However, you can't determine that by looking at the chart. Penny stocks are so manipulated by the MM's that the charts only tell you two things, and both of those things depend on the stock being mostly dormant for a period of time: 1) Is there a recent upswing in volume that indicates the stock is about to be promoted or that insiders know good news is about to come out, 2) If there is a volume increase, is it enough to cause a breakout, and is the breakout building. With a stock like VPER, which has been moving for a while and has enough volume to hide promoter and insider buying, the chart means nothing.
One thing drives penny stocks: attention. That attention can be generated by promoters, news, buy recommendations from selected (supposedly independent) researchers, or nowadays, lots of tweets. Also, there aren't enough long-term investors in penny stocks to drive the price up--you must have traders, too. The good news is that things are changing a little. Today the best traders will stay in a stock for a couple of weeks or maybe a month before they give up. The internet is making communication between the companies and the investors and traders so easy that everyone knows when attention-generating news may be coming. Some traders may have decided to stay in and wait. This is the case with VPER. Just as you longs are waiting for the good news, so are the traders that aren't in. They are watching and will buy when the run starts. If that is this week, it may create a short squeeze and generate some good profits. Lets all hope.
Everything this stock is doing is a direct result of MM manipulation. They shorted it again today. It WILL NOT go up substantially unless there are enough buys that the short MM's lose control and those that are not short start selling and raising the price--a short squeeze. If that doesn't happen, you will have to wait until they fill their shorts and allow it to go up--probably just after the first of the next month. Until then, it will go up a little--they'll short it, and then it will go down--they'll fill, again and again.
Yes, it is very important that everyone lock up their shares with GTC sell orders for at least 0.25, a buck is even better. Most importantly though, DON'T SELL your shares cheap! Make the short MM's pay dearly for them!
I can't believe you folks don't understand what is going on. It IS NITE and ETMM. They have shorted the stock and now they are knocking it down so they can fill at a profit. They aren't the only ones, either. Four of them work together on a regular basis. They are so bad, some traders call them the "Rat Pack." Looks to me like NITE is filling now. ETMM, VERT, and HDSN may still need to fill also. However, they often move the short from one to another so in the end only one of them has to fill. When they have finished, they will let the stock go up again, if there are enough buys to drive it up, which is what I am counting on. I've seen stocks they drive down stay that way for months. The manipulation is very obvious. If you remember Monday it seemed like nothing could stop it, they raised the ask after every buy--they were driving it up so they could sell it short. Now, it takes twenty or thirty buys to make it move up, and they drag it down again just as fast as they can. Watch it. You will see.
I can answer it. The stock is 18 million short--naked short. I'm amazed at how few people can spot MM manipulation. It will go up when they have covered the shorts that need to be covered. The company plans to release their new software product in 14 more days. The stock will go up before then, and perhaps jump substantially when the software release is announced.
The other explanation for what happened today is that the stock is about to be promoted.
NO. They're playing the same games the promoters do. I learned a long time ago not to play. I'll wait until a profit break. If it looks good from there, maybe I'll go in for a small trade. LOTS of stocks out there to trade right now, and they are all going up!
Absolutely not cool. If they don't give us time, I won't participate. Hope others don't either.
I went to the New York Stock Exchange site. This is what they have to say about the ex-dividend date:
"Ex-Dividend Date
In general the date after the day that dividend has been announced."
NASDAQ had this to say:
"Ex-dividend date
Definition
The first day of trading when the buyer of a stock is no longer entitled to the most recently announced dividend payment ( i.e. the trade will settle the day after the record date, too late for the buyer to appear on the shareholder record and receive the dividend.) The date set by the NYSE (and generally followed on other U.S. exchanges) is currently two business days before the record date. A stock that has gone ex-dividend is denoted by an x in newspaper listings on that date."
So today was the last day.
Ok, I buy that. Amazing how many people write about this stuff and don't know what they are talking about. Maybe that's why it is so confusing. I read about a hundred articles.
However, if your quote is right, we need to check the stock exchange or the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., to know what date is the last day to buy.
I guess it could be either today or tomorrow. Maybe the dividend isn't big enough to get dividend buyers worked up. Maybe it will go like hell tomorrow.
No, they don't have it wrong. You are confusing the ex-dividend (or date of record) date with the "Payment date." The ex-dividend date has to come before the payment date, or they wouldn't know who to pay.
Who said dividends will be paid to stockholders who own stock on Friday? That's not how it works. Somebody misunderstood. The following is from About.com, Investing for Beginners:
"Date of record: This date is also known as “ex-dividend” date. It is the day upon which the stockholders of record are entitled to the upcoming dividend payment. According to Barron’s, a stock will usually begin trading ex-dividend or ex-rights the fourth business day before the payment date. In other words, only the owners of the shares on or before that date will receive the dividend. If you purchased shares of Coca-Cola after the ex-dividend date, you would not receive its upcoming dividend payment; the investor from whom you purchased your shares would."
The paragraph above doesn't make much sense, because they say the stock usually starts trading four days before the Payment date. They mean the date of record or ex-dividend date. Translated that means traders usually start buying stocks so they can get the dividend four days before the ex-dividend date, or four days before Jan. 7 in our case. But that only means the investors usually start buying. It doesn't mean you HAVE to buy four days early. The reason this is even important is because someone can own shares for a whole year, then sell the day before ex-dividend day, and not get a dividend. The person that buys their shares the day before ex-dividend day gets the dividend.
I don't know why people have to write things so they can't be understood, but as far as DHT is concerned what is important is that anyone who purchases the stock AFTER January 7 won't get the dividend. Also, anyone that sells BEFORE January 7 won't get the dividend.
Even I am still a little confused as to what happens to investors who trade one way or the other ON Jan. 7. If I understand a whole lot of writing written so no one can understand it, if you buy on the ex-dividend date itself, you get the dividend.
This is not profit taking. This is called MM manipulation. As soon as they fill what they need to fill, they will let the price go up.
Also, the basics have been explained, and make at least hypothetic sense. If it works or not doesn't really matter at this point. All that matters is that people BELIEVE it might work, and I think that has been significantly demonstrated on this site. Geeeze! Go find a stock to bid whack and let us dream.
I'm an engineer, and I'm not laughing. They are messing with EM waves, which DO input energy. I want you to either shut up, or show me your degree.
"There's no such thing as water that can be programmed by magnetic fields to interact with organisms, whether animal or vegetable, and any company that claims there is is clearly a scam."
Not necessarily true. Depends on what "interact" means. They can mess with the molecules, for example create ions in the water. Also, They can remove certain impurities. They may even be able to bond the molecules of impurities or from the air with the water in special ways to create new molecules, such as ammonia for example. Ammonia is often used as a fertilizer. Unless you have debunked their technology using scientific method, you can't reasonably make such statements.
That's what I found, too. I didn't realize Monday was a holiday. Getting a little tired of those. What he said was it would be filed by the deadline. I assume that means by Sunday at 12:00 midnight. Doesn't matter too much to me. I believe him. Whenever between now and Tuesday morning is fine.
He said the company would file on time. I checked. If the due date falls on a weekend, it's considered on time if it is there first thing Monday morning.
This is typical MM strategy. They've been holding it up all week so they could short it. Now they are running it down so they can fill, probably on Friday.
Of coarse the MM's are manipulating it. What else is new. They run it up, short it, run it down, cover, over and over again. It will break out only when the volume is big enough that the MM's that aren't short jump in and make sells in spite of the manipulators. We need GOOD news to push it out of the manipulator's control.
