Orion MLK Contest Pick-ALXA... thx
Congrats to Auburn on a well-played game!
And thanks to SP and the gang for letting me hijack your board for the Bowl Games...
I had a great time. :0)
The Championship Game...
I can't help but notice that my picks have been wrong most of the time:
Running Total:
15-19 Straight Up
12-21-1 Against the Spread
So... With this is mind :0)... Here are my projections for the Title Game:
-Cam Newton will have no tipped balls, no interceptions run back for touchdowns, no bad snaps, and will not be stripped of the ball at any time during the game. [In fact, he will have such a good game... he will be carried off the field on the shoulders of the Oregon players!]
-Auburn will hold LaMichael James to 0 rushing yards by distracting him by holding up pictures of Newton's Heisman every time James has the ball.
-The Auburn receivers will agree to play the 3rd quarter with one hand tied behind their backs.
-Darron Thomas will not repeatedly evade the pass rush, will not throw for record yardage, and will definitely not win the game by keeping the ball on a quarterback option play and running and evading tackles in a play that will be mandatory viewing in every college in America for the next decade.
-Auburn will start taking a knee with 10 minutes left in the 2nd Quarter.
-A long forgotten "mercy rule" [when one team is being beaten by 100 points or more] will be enforced in the 3rd quarter to end the game.
-The Predicted Final Score will be: Auburn 103 - Oregon 2
[Oregon will score 2 points when Cam Newton has so much pass protection that he forgets he's in a game and starts posing for fan photos in the end zone... He accidentally loses the ball when he trips over the Oregon Duck mascot and the mascot falls on the ball for a safety.]
Okay Oregon... that's the best I can do for you.
Cor blimey!...
Yeh 've got a lot of nerve yakking about pommy football here!
Yeh must be out of y'r mind, munted or wazzocked.
Now be a smashing lass and take your noice jacksie into the kitchen and dish up some buttys and bitters and stop banging on about it!
Crikey!
BTW... mint luck with your pick!

Yeah... I thought I had that one...
They pick up that blocked point and run it into the end zone instead of falling on it and I'm 1 point from predicting the final score :0)
Anyway... I agree, way too many dropped passes but still a very competitive game.
Sugar Bowl Pick...
Easy one... Ohio State beat my Ducks in the Rose Bowl last year... So, there's no way I'm going to sit at home and cheer for them today... :0)

Landis Lifestyle Salon Revenues Top $245,000 in December 2010; Up 34% Over Comparable Month in 2009
Last update: 1/4/2011 9:41:00 AMSALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Nexia Holdings, Inc. (NXHD) the parent company of Green Endeavors, Inc. (otcqb:GRNE), is proud to announce that its salon operations posted record Holiday revenues for December 2010. Combined net sales for both locations were $245,320 and gift card sales $15,078 (which are not included as revenue until redeemed) in December 2010, compared to net sales of $182,819 and gift card sales of $5,328 for the comparable period in 2009. The $62,501 increase represents a 34% climb over December of 2009. Richard Surber, CEO of Nexia Holdings, Inc., noted, "My team is setting the stage for the next Landis Lifestyle Salon. I am looking at a location in Draper, Utah where the median income exceeds $80,000 per household. I believe that the site has the potential to rival the revenues of our current flagship location, which is the top producing Aveda(TM) salon in Utah. We are already looking forward to hiring an additional 40 stylists, as soon as financing and terms are agreed to for the third location." Mr. Surber continued, "Sales at our flagship location were $189,885 for December 2010 compared to $165,765 for the comparable month in 2009. The $24,120 increase represents a 15% increase, even though a portion of our staff moved over to the new location. The details show double digit gains for service, product, and gift card sales this Holiday season over 2009." Mr. Surber further stated, "Our newest Landis Lifestyle Salon location generated $55,435 in net sales in December plus gift card sales of $4,171 compared to November net sales of $46,777 and gift card sales of $3,620, which roughly equates to a 20% increase in sales over November. The newest location has posted sales increases of approximately 20% month over month since it opened in late September for total sales in 2010 of $155,398. The newest location's sales in December 2010 were over 220% more than the December 2009 sales of the non-performing Bountiful location that we closed. The newest location is only staffed up to 1/3 of its potential. So, we have a lot of room for growth in the coming years." Mr. Surber concluded, "I am very pleased with the performance of both our salons. Our Holiday promotions were a success. Furthermore, I am encouraged with our prospects for additional salon locations and the prospects for Nexia's entertainment division in 2011." About Nexia Holdings, Inc. Nexia Holdings, Inc. Nice Game, Washington!!!
I think the coach took a timeout to remind the kicker that he was supposed to miss it :0)
I thought this one was a no-brainer...
-Army Runs... SMU Passes
-SMU can stop the run [I thought]
-Army can't stop the pass [I thought]
That's what I get for thinking!

That kids... is why you shouldn't drink and pick :0)
Watching one game and predicting another is too much mental effort for me!

Hey SP... It's not too late to get back in the pick 'em party...
I'll spot you Maryland since you would've picked them anyway.
Don't forget... There's still another half available for plenty of fumbles and muffed punts.
It was a nice pass though :0)
I don't blame you... If you don't mind me posting on your board, I'm going to keep picking since I'm on a roll :0)
I'm just glad I don't have any money on these because some of them do look a little suspect [imo]... way too many dropped passes and I've never seen so many muffed punt returns in one bowl season.
Please jump in if you feel strongly about a particular game and want to make a prediction.
