Vitamin D -- I've been following MedCram and Dr John Campbells daily covid 19 web broadcasts. Both have been insisting on the utility of Vitamin D for Covid since March or April 2020.
See for instance MedCram Vitamin D talk
I've been taking 5000iu (125mcg) every day. Now that I'm fully vaccinated and it's Spring I will be cutting back to 2000iu.
They may be in talks to be taken over and can not answer questions or make projections at this point.
Talk about shaking things loose there was a magnitude 3.5 earthquake at 3:18 pm 8/3/20 near avid location.

Check out CP's map link. Waltham, Mass.
(I once stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott sort of across the street.)
Hummm...
It's Ridgecrest, CA. I have a lot of old friends there. And its way out in the Mojave far from Tulstin though the tremor was felt in LA.
eb you mentioned that
I follow Brekken and Schroit of UTSW on Research Gate. They have many other things going for them in their respective laboratories. For obvious reasons, lately, I've been less avid in following their work. (Pun intended.)
Yea sounds about right.
I asked about the shelf life but forget the exact answer. It was anticipated to be good for some time but that was 8 months + or so ago.
More likely they need to supply Oncologie.
I asked the Avid facility tour guide last year after the stockholder presentation if they had any bavi in the fridge. He replied that they did. It wasn't clear how much though.

The old accounting system led to "lumpiness" in the Avid quarter to quarter earnings and associated "lumpiness" in the share price. The new method should smooth things out.
I didn't get her name but she seemed very knowledgeable about the physical plant and its operation. Maybe Lias should take a look in the fridge.
A new review article appeared in ImmunoTargets and Therapy, Jan 2018
"Antibody targeting of phosphatidylserine for the detection and immunotherapy of cancer"
People in contact with the new BOD may want to shoot them a pdf.
The authors are Olivier Belzile, Xianming Huang, Jian Gong, Jay Carlson, Alan J Schroit.

I pointed out that exomes would have a much faster path to approval. I forgot to mentioned that patent expiration would not bean issue. Both issues he raised in marketing the iP. Lias just noted a lack of commercial interest. He displayed no enthusiasm for drumming up interest in this portion of the iP.
I got up at the meeting and asked about exomes but Lias just fudged on the answer. He doesn’t know what he has.
At the last SITC I spoke with Sadna Budhu and she said that Chris Barker was putting together an investigator study with radiation, pd1, and Bavi. There was cern about the availability of Bavi. I will be at the shareholder meeting.
Thanks, but still interesting.
Moving Vans
I just GoogleMapped Peregrine Franklin site and zoomed into two moving vans in front of the building.
Interesting...
Thanks North for your impressions. I'm happy that the Sunrise poster was presented and the presenters are still with Peregrine. I agree that my characterization of Dr. Budhu as "distressed" by the turmoil at Peregrine was too strong, perhaps "concerned" would be a better characterization. I was in a hurry that evening and did not have time for a lengthier conversation or for visiting other posters.
I went to SITC about 6:30 PM 11/11/17 and had to get out to a cocktail party in Springfield, VA beginning at 7:30 so my visit was short. Sadna showed up just as I was reaching the conclusions of her poster and we had a short chat. When I alluded to Peregrine's change in direction she seemed distressed at the possibility of losing that collaboration especially as a clinical trial extension of the work was possibly imminent.
The Sunrise poster was not there. Did you see it? Did Peregrine withdraw it or were Nikoletta and the other Peregrine presenters fired? (Excluding King and Shan.)
I visited the Gaylord Hotel and SITC this evening. P87 was not up. At P262 I spoke with Sadna Budhu. She seemed pleased with the results of her study. Great results for RT + PD1 + mouse bavi (mch1N11). One notable remark, she mentioned that Chris Barker of Memorial Sloan Kettering was planning to initiate a clinical trial based on this work. I alluded to the problems facing Peregrine. And she acknowledged that this could hinder the clinical trial.
I took a picture of the poster but do not know how to post it to the board.
I've made sure that I did not vote for CJ, DP or ES the last several years and have no intention of voting for them this year.
I plan on attending but it may be torpedoed by my work schedule.
(I'm a part-time beltway bandit these days.)
Oh please, Peregrine let me know the date of the ASM so I can plan ahead.
(Or maybe a last-minute announcement is a clever strategic move on their part.)
I do wish that all BOD candidates would be required to publish a short (one page or less) statements reviewing their exceptional qualifications and future vision for Peregrine, statements that are similar to ones required by candidates for BOD and executive positions in REI, the Sierra Club or the American Physical Society.
This is bit off topic but relevant to cancer treatment...
Curing glioblastoma with zika virus!?!
#6a I'm not deciding until I have to decide. Keeping an open mind and letting it ride until the last moment.
(This is my usual position on most things in life. It drives significant others out of their minds. Fortunately, none of you are in that category)
