Hey Oldtec!
Is this really where we want to be?
At these prices PA and gang would only have to scrape together a few measley million $ to buy all of the shares. Can we really be worth so little?
BIG BUCKS MOMMA,
You sound rather optomistic I must say. Must be Fridayitis or something. Enjoy the bubbly!
$crooge
MRDALE .......
See you're still hangin in there. You really have to wonder if we'll ever see a penny again; would be a huge gain for anyone getting in now! But then you would have to be a little off your rocker to buy into a Company that doesn't seem to have anything going for it but cascading bad news. Truly a far cry from this time last year when hopes were building and we were all making retirement plans.
Oh well life goes on, most of the ducks have flown south for the winter but I chose to ride it through this time around and see if I can recoup some of the losses incurred last year. I feel real bad for all of the old timers here who have so much invested and so little hope left. It would take a miracle for this puppy to turn around now but then I always was a miracle kind of guy.
Take care of yourself MRDALE. A buddy lent me "Evil Roy Slade" supposed to be a real hoot! Think I'll check it out.
Cheers,
$crooge
SUPERBEE ...... Take care of the wheels and
why not become a pbls lurker like many of have done in recent months. Always enjoyed your insightful comments and sense of fair play as a mod.
All the best to you.
$crooge
Roach .... Re: Awesome News!
Here I thought you had some hot inside information, some cloistered stock report you uncovered that indicated we were probably going to hit at least a buck a share by Easter and for no other reason than this; we're all real nice folks here and deserve a big old break. LOL
Back to the DP for you; think I'll have something a wee bit stronger.
Cheers,
$crooge
VIKI
Do you really think it so unlikely that our stock may once again reside in pennyland? The share restructuring seems to be a positive move; too bad they didn't go all the way though.
As well it would be nice to know precisely what the current assets are and what divisions if any still hold some potential for real growth.
Hope you're doing well.
$crooge
Crooner! You're the most positive voice to hit this board since Jambamboo or Justalittle. Unfortunately we haven't heard anything from them in 115 & 75 days respectively. Check out Jammy's rant from a Sept. 13/07 post; the last we heard from him.
Are you really long or hoping for a quick sub penny pop? I like the penguin feature but hope you don't start picking on ducks.
$crooge
Bob! You betray your own age as well.
Heck I don't know about you but like Benny I've been holding at 39 for quite a while now.
Hopefully PA and gang will finally get their crap together and do something to turn this ship around.
Wishing you and yours the very best for 2008.
$crooge
MRDALE,
Yes and as Tiny Tim observed "God bless us everyone!" Another very good classic Christmas flick that is less known is "Beyond Christmas" well worth a look at this time of year. Hope you have a profitable and healthy New Year.
All the best,
$crooge
Roach! All the best to you and yours as well.
Remember, two Dr. Peppers and you may blow over the limit!
Take care,
$crooge
Oldteck! All the best for 2008.
I think most of us are at best "still lurking." Hopefully things will improve in the months ahead. How did you make out with your fishing expedition?
All the best,
$crooge
Greetings everyone!
I haven't had access to a puter for several weeks now; long involved story. Notwithstanding; I would like to wish all of those who take the time to frequent this board a very Merry Christmas and a most prosperous New Year, especially my "long" friends.
Things could not get much bleaker for PBLS than they have in recent months, so let us hope they get better in the weeks and months ahead.
All the best for 2008,
$crooge
Castle - Viki Now that's funny!
$crooge
More than likely about all we'll see is..........
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas?
$crooge
Banjo! Yes still holding.
Like most would like to at least get out with some of my investment. How about you? I know you were out and then got back in a while back. Are you still in?
$crooge
Xylan! Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters.
Dead ..... no kidding! Used to be 3/4 pages of posts per day now it's more like 3 or 4 posts per day. I wonder how many are still holding and sweating versus how many have pulled out taking their losses?
$crooge
Sawdin ... My sentiments exactly!
$crooge
Gunnar! Re: reverse split.
Didn't PA say no way in the most recent pr? So we can count on them holding to that position ..... right? Of course we can; haven't they always done what they promised? We just need to relax a little and maintain our trust in them. For some that's a daily dose of DP for others maybe something a bit stronger.
LOL
$crooge
SO WHO'S GOING TO........
close the door and turn off the light?
$crooge
HEY WHIRLIGIG!
Thus far your post was the only one made today! Now that's really sad considering how robust the exchanges have been on this board in recent months.
I certainly hope the news will improve in the weeks/months ahead but I think we all know that nothing really positive is going to happen until some substantial changes are made within the Company or a verifiable breakout deal is consumated.
Hope all of you are having a wonderful Thanks Giving weekend.
$crooge
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
$crooge
Welcome back Oldteck!
Nice to see you posting again.
$crooge
Xylan ...... You're most recent buys
are looking pretty fortuitous now aren't they? Hope you make a killing.
$crooge
Gandalf...
Do you mean like when the cost of executing a trade would buy you approximately 7,000 shares? Pretty sad situation isn't it?
$crooge
JIM CHARTS ... Two quick questions!
What would you consider the bottom and when do you think we'll reach it?
Scrooge
Beentheredonethat! You just found this board by chance!
Why do I find that hard to believe?
Your first post seems a bit intimate for someone who has nothing invested in the Company that we discuss on this particular board. I wonder what sort of agenda you may have and who you really are.
We've seen it all here; especially in recent months. Maybe you're "the man" from LA. Whatever you're up to; please try not to be so vague in the innuendo you present. Give us a little more truth and one of our sleuths is liable to put a name on you. Shall we introduce you to Roach Holmes D.P. degree and all!
In particular why would you seemingly delight in rubbing salt in the wounds of those who have invested more than they ought in a Company they believed in; especially at a time when they are so vulnerable. Shame on you and perchance you are in a position of some culpability with regard to this current fiasco, double shame.
$crooge
Bigfootbud! You're such a basher.
Just kidding of course. "PBLS is the best Company in the world" ........ Gotta love your attitude.
$crooge
Roach! Re: Jack A
It appears that he doesn't like anyone named Carolyn.
$crooge
Gunnar... I believe the first JZ contact was
in the form of an email forwarded by MM on Oct 19/07. Seemed pretty innocuous at the time!
$crooge
Gunnar! Only a moron could fear credible people!
Credible means believable. Most people do not fear people that they know they can believe.
Now if you were to say that PA fears capable people; I might be able to buy that arguement; not that I know that to be the case. However; I do know that for some reason many people do tend to fear or resist people whom they percveive to be more capable at "whatever" than they themselves are. This is especially counter-productive in the business world where corporate leaders can use all the juice they can get. Hard to figure but until these people prove different , you may be kind of right in a wrong sort of way!

INTENT VERSUS TRUST ... THE PBLS SWAN SONG!!
In the latest pr I noted 7 key points of intent that were offered by the Company; these intentions being:
1. No change in the core management positions.
2. Working toward becoming profitable through trading, selling or eliminating unprofitable companies.
3. No increases in current A/S or P/S levels.
4. Buy back shares in open market to reduce outstanding shares as funds allow.
5. No reverse split.
6. Pay outstanding dividends within 60 days.
7. The Company intends to recover from its' recent woes and loyal investors will profit at some future time.
No change in core management. Like it or not this BIRD is controlled by PA, CA and RB and they will likely determine its' fate; good or bad. I think most investors here would be greatly encouraged should the current principals of PBLS solicit the help of some "real go to people," people with genuine credentials and proven track records. This might enhance and expedite the recovery process for PBLS should that be possible.
Working toward becoming profitable through trading, selling or eliminating unprofitable companies sounds rather inadaquate. Those actions may serve to reduce their current financial obligations but becoming truly profitable will require some affirmative action; building and expanding those sectors which are generating real revenue for the Company.
No increase in the A/S or the P/S is welcome news but they would gain more favor with potential investors if they would make a commitment to eliminate their ability to syphon off the majority of the Companys' future profits. As well, buying back shares in the open market and hopefully retiring a significant portion of them would be a welcome course of action. What better time to initiate this action than now with a record low pps to work with.
No reverse split. A reverse split would be the final nail in the PBLS coffin; the bird would be done like dinner as they say. Nice to see their intention in writing on this issue.
To pay all outstanding dividends within 60 days. This at least provides a time frame for resolving an egregious issue that has been at the forefront of investor concerns for several months now.
PBLS intends to fully recover and would like us to continue supporting them with our investment dollars. Well that's nice but in reality the possibility of that happening lessens with each passing day of perceived or actual inaction on the part of this particular management team.
Some of these intentions just listed are good and have more substance than we've seen in a long while from this group but they are not sufficient to stop the current decline in pps and surely not profound enough to cause an encouraging change in course for this beleaguered Company. PBLS may survive inspite of itself but it will be a long hard road to recovery and unless some dramatic changes are forthcoming they will have a difficult time attracting any kind of new investor, save the odd flipper looking for a fast buck.
THERE REMAINS LITTLE DOUBT THAT PBLS HAS LOST THE TRUST OF ALL THEIR INVESTORS; even the most faithful of longs and nothing but a plan that embraces the elements mentioned in my final paragraph will suffice to regain said trust.
The Company must be honest with its shareholders on all issues. They must address the inadequacies of their core management team by recruiting qualified personnel to effectively resolve all relevant issues. They must propose and enact a viable recovery plan. Most importantly they must "repent" and begin to do what is morally just for their shareholders. Four simple but profound steps which I believe could turn this Company around and rather quickly. Unfortuantely at this time I don't see this happening and that's too Bad! It's too bad for us as shareholders and ultimately it's too bad for PBLS as well. IMHO.
$crooge
Pnew, Retiring shares would be good!
Besides it would fit in with the new direction they say they are taking. Trimming down; cutting back etc.
$crooge
Hello, back at ya Banjo... About the lawsuits
There hasn't been news on any new suits being filed; at least not to my knowledge. I believe Whirl had a post recently where he cited the lack of apparent new suits as one of very few positives on the PBLS front of late.
Last I heard you were holding shares again; are you totally out now? Anyhow, continued good fortune to you.
$crooge
PBLS Makes Rip-Off Report!
Perhaps you are all aware of this ditty! Google
"Rip-Off Report: Ann Arbor Pool Builders"
if you should like to check it out.
Man what's next!
$crooge
Niko, thanks for sharing that.
If you have a heart, literature like that helps to re-focus ones priorities and hopefully remind them of what is really important in this life and perhaps the next. The sacrifices of so many have provided us with many of the freedoms we enjoy today. Hopefully all of us will take a little time to reflect on that; will choose to never take it for granted and perhaps even endeavor to honor it within our own lives.
Again thank you for taking the time to post it.
$crooge
Superbee,
I'll take that as potentially positive news; why not it's a rare comodity in PBLS land these days. Only thing is that I don't know if we've seen the bottom just yet. Some forward momentum must be generated by the Company before any significant recovery begins and perhaps before the falling pps is stayed. Unfortunately at this time the Company is doing nothing to slow or reverse the slide.
$crooge
MRDALE.... That sounds like another 50's classic!
$crooge
Xylan! That's putting a positive twist on it.
Beer tins are worth what; say .10 ea so 300 tins is worth $30. Boy oh boy $30 will buy nearly 10,000 shares PBLS at todays pps. Do you know that in 3 short months you could accumulate nearly a million shares. A million shares from simply collecting beer cans. Xylan you're a genius; better hope MRDALE doesn't see this.
Well I have to go for a walk now; see how many tins I can find.
$crooge
Roach! Is there anything left to dd?
Seems like all we could do is find out what they still own vs what has been sold and what Companies are still operational. Then perhaps asign a perceived value to whats left. Wasn't it Gnulx who said we would see .0001.

What a week in PBLS land, more sillyness!
GANDALF dropped by early, he was looking for his old buddy ASUS whom he said was now CAGED in the CASTLE at IINSURU. Poor old fool was in the wrong world and 3000 years too late. I said listen you old wizard, your life hangs in the BALANCE R you really going to die? He said calm down young fella you APEA r to be JUST A LITTLE bit confused; BOTTOM LINE is IM IRISH and as lucky as can be; I must seek out ELSIE CAT, she'll SEE CLEAR in her tarnished old VISTA VIEWER where I now must journey. In all he said just 39 words to me and then with NO TIME 2 WASTE he was gone as quickly as he'd come.
Later in the week I SAW DIN, he and CAYCE HOPEFUL wanted to C DANIEL about getting some PAN YL PROFITS in their PBLS portfolios, so they arranged to meet him at "BAGWA JOHN" that classy new cajun restaurant. The special last week was stewed MONKEY FROG legs and BEER THIRTY mugs at a time. The young folks didn't care much for it but you should have seen those WILEY old brothers WHIRLIGIG an FIZZLEGIG the elder, sharing stories of the old round table, of Percival, of Lancelot and his cousin IMVIRGINOT. Boy they had a good old time notwithstanding.
I wanted to see D LASER MAN put on the show at the ZOO but I had to settle for watching the INDY DUDE PUTANG it to NIKO HEIL at the WAVE RIDER classic over in TULA beach. BIG BUCKS MOMMA kept saying I'm JUST HERE and happy about it. I imagine I'll have to get my ANCHOR CHECK ed and see if MASTER CRAFT really is a CAPITOL KING.
Well NINER TANGO, over and out and all that stuff; if I keep this up everyone will think I'm WAC ed.
Have a great Sunday everyone; hopefully the news will get better this week.
