Frontier IP Group CEO on H1 highlights, €25m 2D Photonics funding round

DP Poland CEO Nils Gornall on Pizzeria 105 acquisition strategy

DP Poland PLC (AIM:DPP) CEO Nils Gornall talked with Proactive about the company’s acquisition of Pizzeria 105 in Poland for £8.5 million — a key step in its strategy to transition towards a franchise-led business model. Gornall explained that DP Poland is the master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in both Poland and Croatia, and this latest acquisition boosts the company’s franchised store percentage from just 8% three years ago to over 50% today. “The best Domino’s businesses around the world are franchisee-led. That's where we need to be,” he said. Pizzeria 105 is the fourth-largest pizza chain in Poland, with 90 franchised stores. Gornall emphasised how this acquisition aligns with DP Poland’s strategy, highlighting the opportunity to bring Domino’s global brand power and systems to a well-established local operator. “We have the tools to help the franchisees really take it to that next level,” he said. Looking ahead, Gornall noted the goal of rebranding all Pizzeria 105 stores to Domino’s within 24 months, with a target of reaching 200 fully branded Domino’s outlets by late 2026 or early 2027. The transaction also adds more than 80 franchise business owners to DP Poland’s ecosystem and supports a shift toward selling down corporate-owned stores. Mt York Gold: Kairos Minerals targets major growth

Kairos Minerals Ltd managing director Dr Peter Turner talked with Proactive about the company's Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Turner outlined why the company is enthusiastic about the asset, highlighting the 1.4 million ounce gold resource, which he said is largely hosted in a single open pit with clean metallurgy. “There's enormous upside in terms of the resource,” he said, pointing to ongoing technical work and a key land access deal with Pilbara Minerals as drivers for growth. He noted that the mineralisation is continuous over three kilometres and spans three key prospects: Main Hill, Breccia Hill, and Gossan Hill. Drilling along this corridor has consistently intersected gold, with further upside potential extending 1.5 kilometres onto neighbouring ground recently secured from Pilbara Minerals. Kairos is well funded, with A$12.4 million in the bank and a further A$10 million expected from its deal with Pilbara Minerals. These funds will support an extensive 20,000–30,000 metre drill program, targeting both resource growth and conversion of inferred resources to indicated. Turner said a priority focus is the Main Hill extension, with plans to conduct detailed diamond drilling and incorporate any new results into a future resource update. He also said that the company is entering a pivotal period: “We feel that 2025 is probably our kairos moment.” The year ahead will include new drill results, feasibility progress, and a resource update. Trevi Therapeutics advances cough treatment pipeline, eyes key clinical milestones

Trevi Therapeutics CEO Jennifer Good joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s progress in advancing its cough treatment pipeline using nalbuphine, a mixed agonist-antagonist opioid. Originally developed for acute indications, nalbuphine is now being repurposed due to its dual mechanism of action, working both peripherally in the lungs and centrally in the brainstem, offering a novel approach to treating chronic cough disorders. Trevi initially explored multiple indications, including skin conditions caused by severe itching and neurological cough. However, compelling clinical data led the company to focus on cough-related indications. Good explained, “We thought our drug was different because not only does it work peripherally in the lung, it works centrally at the brain, which mediates coughing and breathing.” The company is now targeting three key areas: interstitial lung diseases (including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF), refractory chronic cough (RCC), and other neurological cough conditions. Following promising Phase 2a results in RCC—an area where many previous drug candidates have failed—Trevi is preparing for a Phase 2b dose-ranging study. If successful, only one pivotal study may be required before regulatory filing.
