Sniffex has been shown not to work. You can read about it here: http://sniffextest.blogspot.com/ and here:http://sniffexquestions.blogspot.com/ .
I realize that Sniffex is an old recommendation here. I only mention it because it shows the pitfalls in investing in companies whose main products have not been adequately tested by independent labs or universities. Unfortunately, the testing by New Mexico Tech's Materials Research and Testing Center was not done correctly and it's been withdrawn -- it can't be found on the internet any more except in archived versions.
You'll also note that the parent company now called Homeland Safety International (symbol HSFI.PK) has thoroughly tanked and the current price is $0.015 per share.
Best wishes,

To all who read this.
I would like to direct you to the CEXI (CDEX-Inc) board and read some of the recent news that has come out regarding that company. CEXI is a fully reporting OTC-BB company with only about 33,000,000 shares outstanding which has a technology that has been discussed and tested and is now in use in several applications similar to what SNFX is trying to do. I wish everyone here good luck with their investment and notice that noone has posted here for over a month. CEXI has about 10 people who do all the posting and in many peoples opinions the negativity is controlled by a British individual who is strongly rumored to be financially supporting any negativity that can be drummed up against the company. It has been a soap opera for at least 5 years with management changes, truths, half truths alleged Pump and Dumps etc. But to many who have owned the stock for years and are true investors they believe and the stock has now started moving up nicely. Their filing are up to date and they have brought in some distinguished personnel and scientists. They have just joined forces with BAXA for distribution in the medical community.
Now they have a moderator over there by the name of Imorovan who thinks he has the right to censor free speech. Look over the last 50 posts or so and you will notice that a lot of them have been deleted by him as the moderator. I compare that kind of behavior to what Hitler had his henchmen like Himmler, Goebels, Goerring, Eichman doing during the heyday of the Third Reich where speech and print was controlled by the ultimate of control freaks. I think that Stalin, Saddam, Pol Pot, Quaddafi, Ho Chi Min and the past and current Chinese government did and are doing similarly.
I have suggested that Imorovan recuse himself from being the moderator of the board and that he go and get a life or live in a dung heep or worse.
Almost no one likes him, nor do they have IMO any respect for anything he says or does.
I post this over her to let him know that his power is limited. I believe that he must be suffering from short man's phobia.
I hope for all SNFX investors that your product is real and that it performs well. I also hope it saves lives.
Take a look at CEXI. They have been at this for a much longer time and IMO are about to have a major increase in the value of their shares.
Respectfully

hal-- I contacted Paul Johnson last week and received a response. I had some questions and have some more for him that I might send next week. Anyway, I'm pasting his email response to the three questions I asked. His answers are in bold.
This company is brand new, and as such, has a lot to get organized. I bought in last week but then sold so that I could do more DD before committing $$$ (typical 'leap before you look' syndrome). The share price seems high for a company with no track record, financials or corporate filings, and a product that may or may not spark interest in the markets that it is targeting. It is entirely possible that the Sniffex device will be a hit. The test results seem a little inconclusive so far. It is version 1.1 however, and the p/r's imply that r&d is ongoing. He also says he will begin marketing in the US next week.
Anyway, here is the email. It is followed by one of the attachments he sent along. The other one was from the New Mexico Tech EMRTC testing grounds but was in a format that would not easily copy and paste:
Dear Mr. xxxxxx
Thank you for your interest in Sniffex, Inc. I hope you realize a very good
return on your investment. Here are the answers to your questions.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, and just to clear my mind of any confusion I have, is there any
connection between your Sniffex and this SniffEx developed at Oak Ridge
National Laboratories?
"SniffEx, developed by Thomas Thundat, Lal Pinnaduwage, Tony Gehl, Vassil
Boiadjiev and Eric Hawk of ORNL; David Hedden of the University of Tennessee;
Eric Houser of the Naval Research Laboratory; Linda Deel of the Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; and Richard Lareau of the
Transportation Security Administration"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no connection between Sniffex, Inc. and the group memtioned above.
These folk won a scientific award for developing a product that works on a
completely different technology, and I believe can only be used in close
proximity to the target, say 1-4 inches. Also, as far as I know they have not
manufactured the product yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
< Secondly, according to one of the news stories I read about Sniffex,
< approximately ten of the Sniffex devices were sold to various
< countries and agencies in Europe. Has there been any feedback as to
< the results of their trials with Sniffex?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the press release on Wednesday I stated that several countries have tested
the product. The Bulgarian police force did the first large test of the
product and produced a report stating that Sniffex had been used over
500 times
with a 90% accuracy rate. Turkey, Russia, Isreal, Thailand, China, Germany and
Switzerland have all checked out the product and have shown interest in
purchasing it. Attached are two documents that may be of interest. The
first are
highlights for the testing I did at Energetic Materials and Research
and Testing
Center (EMRTC) in New Mexico (one of the largest and well respected explosives
testing centers in the country) and the second is the Bulgarian
police's report
on their testing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<
< Thirdly, given the suspicious use of a similar product's name
< developed by ORNL, the dubious qualifications of the 'engineer' who
< invented the high tech device (Yuri Markov), and the apparent lack of
< interest by the U.S. D.O.D. (I have read nothing referring to US
< military interest), what can you tell me that might quell my
< suspicions that this device is a scam?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To date, we have not presented the product to anyone in the US. Our
focus, thus
far, has been on creating the company, getting it public, assisting in getting
the stock trading, testing the product in the US, raising the initial capital,
and obtaining commitments for long term funding. We will begin our marketing
campaign next week and will be demonstrating to those who show interest
shortly
thereafter.
We are in no hurry. We believe from the results of test (which I personally
participated in) and the products capabilities, we will have plenty of
interest, some of which I hope to be able to communicate about in the near
future.
Regarding the "dubious qualification" of Yuri Markov", you may want to
research
him a little further. He has been recognized on numerous occassions for his
work in this area in his own country.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this answered your questions.
Sincerely,
Paul Johnson

Your Ref. No. 381 / 15.03.2005
Dear Mr. Lukanov,
In 2004 five devices from your company that makes SNIFFEX, which is designed for the detection of explosives and ammunition, were submitted for testing. The devices are continuously used in real conditions by the specialists from the Bomb Terrorism Counterforce Department during their routine activities such as examinations for the presence of explosives in endangered sites (cars, buildings, suspicious objects, etc.), searches in investigation and prosecution actions, and operative checks.
More than 500 examinations with the device have been carried out. The results of the device’s functioning are very good. Specifically, it allows for the localization of explosives and gun powder, both independently and when contained in explosive devices and ammunition.
An especially valuable characteristic of the device is the ability to localize the explosive materials even when they were behind various barriers such as metals, building materials, plastics, paper, etc., from a safe distance.
It should also be mentioned that the device can be prepared for operation very quickly. Its handling does not require special qualifications, and it needs no outside power supply or maintenance. Our statistics show the percent of accurate indications for the presence of explosives and ammunitions exceeds 90%.
Our final conclusion with respect to the applicability of SNIFFEX for the localization of explosives, is that the device is very useful for the initial detection by specialists from the security organizations when establishing the presence of explosives and ammunitions based on the “YES – NO” principle, and their subsequent exact localization.

well i tested the device myself
I did the triangulation by approaching the target from 2-3 different angles and doing this you can easily locate the explosive in a radius of 10-20 inches.
I tested the device in Turkeyt when Yuri Markov presented it to the biggest Turkish Oil refinery so that they can protect their oil pipes and the vehicles that enter the refinery. The turkish guys just loved it, there i met mr. Markov and thats how i know about Sniffex, i tested numerous times to find one gun belonging to one of the security guards there , i asked the security guard to hide his gun behind 300 feet long wall, and i walked along the wall 20 feet away from it and i tested it 5-6 times and i found the location of the gun EACH time with proximity of 20-30 inches, the wall was concrete , 2 meters high and 10 inches thick.
this device my friends is out of this world, when you hold it in your hands and find things from tens of meters you feel very privileged to be holding something like this.
I am not interested in the stock price but you noticed yourself that nobody sells, there are only 2 market makers on the offer and 15 bids, wondering why, maybe because if i am right and all this is right and this device can find your gun from accross the street then maybe it can do to $10-20 easily.
So lets wait and see

Check msg # 34 on RR snifex board. There is a link to the patent and to an extract from the testing done at a lab in New Mexico. You might also check msg # 7 on the same board. It has some interesting stuff also.
Doubloon its you and me
I have been involved in an investment called CDEX formerly LOCH(LOCH HARRIS INX)which has about 5 bulliten boards here and over at the ragingbull site. True CDEX longs is one and the basher board is the LOCHLONG board. There have been collectively about 400,000 posts there going back to before the year 2000.
Talk about a soap opera. I am personally kind of glad that you don't have a position in SNFX because of what I know of form being in LOCH now CEXI.
LOCH had all these alleged technologies that could find at various standoff distances virtually anything that emited an effluent through the exitiation of molecules blah blah blah. Tons of press releases, all sorts of claims, demonstrations at expos and even in Washington DC infront of congressmen, generals and the like. They had radio shows, all sorts of international intrigue, they were going to rid the world of landmines with the ELF They were going to save billions for the chip makers with a thing called the VAAMP. Billions were going to roll in from every government in the world. Now they have taken the technology and are using it in hospitals to identify substances that go in and out of the pharmacies.
Check out their website. There is a guy by the name of IMOROVAN over here on Ihub that runs the CEXI board who I think has a web site of his own with every press release ever put out by the company. LOCH had almost 600,000,000 shares outstanding at one point and the stock during the insanity of the early milenium actually one day hit almost $6.00 a share. Well years later everyone is still waiting for sales, they have had numerous reverse splits and now the company has a market value around $30,000,000 and that is for the most part based on potential and has little to do with reality. So when I heard about the sniffer it was like dejavu all over again.
Since it is just you and me posting lets have some fun. I don't bash and I don't hype. When I have time in between golf games, this kills some time.
I wish you good luck in whatever you are doing.
~~W~~
dubyah, yes it has been tested by an independent lab, I have SEEN the documents, and although I did not save the scanned copy of the independent lab report you may be able to get it from Megan at the company. It was to say the least impressive.
They have sold to a security company in Iraq... which could be a private security company or a
I have not seen the product in person other than pictures ... the two kickers that I do not have confirmation on...
1. the manufacturing plant is in Sweden (or Switzerland) or something like that and
2.the license is held by the designer in Bulgaria??
Also this stock was climbing nicely until that short organization stock-lemon did a nasty piece on the company, it has still not recovered from that. I have not recieved independent financials on this company yet.
If this market turns around and/or if they come out with revenue producing news I will take a position and will do a more massive investigation of this one. I have no stock position at the present time.
Also be aware that the mms can manipulate the heck out of a stock like this and then you get into the Canadian mms who can short the living bejeezers out of a stock down to zero if they want. Be careful not to get caught believing hype that might turn out to be a poof rather than a bang.
W
Dubloon
It gives you something to do. I am amazed at the volume that sniffer is getting.
W
Where are they testing the product? How much did they have to pay to get in the Yuma test facility? Have you read the actual patent? Can you post a link to it?
How long have they been testing?
Do they have a working prototype?
Do they have the authority from DOD to sell overseas?
I ask these questions because I have seen pink sheet stocks with nothing but air under them go crazy and a lot of people get left holding the bag.
Not bashing. The Lord knows this is the most secret place in the world to discuss these kinds of issues. Maybe 5 people know this tiny chat room exists.
W
dubyah.. the military is testing the product now...purely speculative here but..... if they like what they see and IF it can be built to mil specs then we will have another TASR type of run up on this stock... this story is only just begining.
Just talked with Megan at headquarters.
I asked to speak with Paul Johnson but he was out. I asked her how many of the devices were sold and she said that ASARCO won't allow that to be disclosed. I asked her the price per device. She said that it couldn't be sold for less than $5500 per agreement. I asked her for the total outstanding shares and she told me that there were 79,000,000 outstanding with 15,000,000 in the float. At $3.30 per share that is a market cap of $260,700,000. WOW. That should put Paul and his partner in at least the FORTUNE 1000 any day now. I wonder how many devices will have to be sold to verify that the market value is indeed where it should be. At a 50% profit margin per device that would be $2,750. It would require 189,600 devices to be sold at $5,500/device to at least generate that amount of sales.
Who and where are these devices being produced and manufactured. It would take a facility of decent size to produce a minimum of 519 devices per day to meet the demand to reach the sales quota. Heck and don't the US have about 189,600 troops deployed in Iraq and Afganistan? Hey that's it. The UN is going to buy 1 device for every American soldier stationed in the middle east.
As the beer commercial says.. "BRILLIANT". The poor terrorists will be out of business in no time. Go Sniffex

4.40 up .39... when can we safely call this TASR type run??, it will have as much impact on society as the Taser has had on law enforcement, if the business plan moves forward as it should.
4.25 up .42 on 417k volume,,, it is amazing to me there is no chatter anywhere on the web with this stock. There is however alot of quiet buying all day long, got played a bit yesterday from some traders however it shows no quick spikes or sudden low volume walkdowns.
Originally I had wanted for this stock to retreat to 2.50 and I was ready, however it never did. The independent testing proves the product and this product is needed immediately.
Two questions remain unanswered for me, when is the unit ready for shipment and will there be any further funding needed..
SNFX,..a beautiful chart>>>

Sniffex Corporation / Overview
Sniffex is a pocket-sized, hand held device for the detection of a wide variety of explosives based on its ability to detect the presence of Nitro Oxide ions (free radicals) within its effective range. Most existing and emerging detection systems are typically too expensive and locate explosives only within a few inches of the the explosive. Other existing products need to be close enough to inhale air around the explosive. Sniffex uses a totally different approach. It uses the interference between the magnetic field of the earth, the explosive, and the device itself, allowing the device to penetrate and locate even small amounts of explosives through concrete and metal barriers. Unlike other devices Sniffex can locate and find explosives from 10-300 feet, even when the explosive is hidden in buildings or in vehicles.
Sniffex is made up of two components - a signal generator module and a detection module. In operation, the signal generator is activated to emit an energy signal of a target material's characteristic frequency. The power level of the energy source will begin to activate the electrons of nitro-based materials that have the characteristic frequency generated. Once the target material is activated, it too will begin to emit a signal having the characteristic frequency of the signal generator.
The detection module is moved through a range between the source module and the target material. When the detection module encounters the highest energy line between the source module and target material, which is the shortest line between the two energy sources, the Sniffex antenna will rotate to designate that the line has been crossed.
As the antenna continues to move through a range it will continue to point in the direction of the source module and the target material. Once a set of co-ordinates for the target material have been generated, then the exact location of the target can be calculated. Two or three measurements from different directions are required for precise location of a target. If a particular location is suspect, as in a suitcase, Sniffex can be used to detect if a target material is in that location.
We have successfully demonstrated that Sniffex can penetrate concrete and brick walls are as well as metal structures, containers, and vehicles. Only a few hours of education and training is required, if provided by a trained instructor.
Sniffex can be used in many possible scenarios:
1. Search in Buildings – The search can be conducted from the outside and a single Sniffex operator, walking by a house or small building for less than a minute can check for ammunition or explosives inside. Sniffex allows an operator to walk on the street and search for explosives in the buildings that are passed.
2. Cars, Parking lots – A simple walk around a parking lot with Sniffex can detect explosives hidden in one or more of the cars.
3. Planes – Security personnel, using Sniffex, can pass by a commercial aircraft with all passengers and luggage on board and can check the airplane before takeoff in a couple of minutes, to find out if there is anything dangerous on board; and it can be done from a safe distance of 20-50 feet.
4. Luggage – Sniffex can check big amounts of luggage at airports or customs. - even 10-20 grams of explosive can give a positive reading with the device.
5. Police Use – Police can use the device to screen suspect’s homes before they entering - all that is needed is to pass by the home with Sniffex activated and from the street Sniffex can detect if there are any explosives in the house (Sometimes, Sniffex is so sensitive that it will even show positive readings if there are handguns or ammunitions in the house.)
6. SWAT Teams – Special Forces can use Sniffex to check for everything from large explosives to ammunition stockpiles.
7. Land Mines –We believe it is possible to use Sniffex to find land mines in shallow soil, but to date, this situation has not been proven.
8. Crowds – A walk by a big crowd of people by security personnel can identify explosives in the area.
