I am still with JAMN but why are they going down with good annoucments-is this a keeper or just another pit?
i'm back in.
made a killing here back in june thanks to the tips out by bullish bankers and john bell.
i'm ready to ride this one out for awhile now
Thanks, daxtrader
Can you please elaborate more on the source, is he credible?
There was some nice buying yesterday. One 76k shares at $.445. Some of the speculative socks have been moving the last couple of weeks. PEIX and LEXG, for example. I wounder if it's the time for JAMN. We clearly have been bottoming out the past four weeks. TA is progressively getting more bullish.
HAHA! If anyone from jamn is viewing this page, why on earth would you advertise a new 8 oz bag???? For $9.99???? hahaha Really an 8 oz bag and actually PR it? Oh man I needed that laugh today...
anyone get an email from John Bell on HITR?
someone posted on the board that it was JAMN newsletter's next pick
i can't find anything to the effect, trying to confirm
JVA, GMCR, PEET all should be doing good in the coming weeks.

Marley Coffee Launches Its Food Service Program at Union County College With Media Event
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Marley Coffee (OTC Bulletin Board: JAMN) - On Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, Marley Coffee alongside Evans Quality Coffee Service celebrated the kickoff of its Food Service program at Union County College in Cranford, New Jersey, with an event dubbed "Marley Coffee Day." The gathering was co-hosted by Union County College and Corp Chefs INC and was lead by Karen Marley, regular spokesperson for Marley Coffee and sister to Rohan Marley, the company's Chairman.
For the event, Marley Coffee also donated $.50 for every cup of Marley coffee sold that day to its foundation www.KicksForCause.org, which aims to create playable soccer fields and soccer camps at the coffee producing communities in Jamaica.
The event marks the launch of Marley's Coffee's Food Service Program at Union County College on August 23rd, 2011. Union County College is one of six associated campuses in the Food Service program, and based on the success of this rollout, other colleges may follow shortly. Karen Marley commented, "Marley Coffee day was a blast; the students were eager to learn about our company's sustainability practices and interested in how the Marley family farm produces our high quality, organic products." Evans Quality Coffee Service President Jim Evans added, "The Marley coffee products are a huge hit with the students. The coffee is selling faster than any coffee that we've had previous." Marley Coffee replaced a well-known national brand and has outsold it 4 to 1.
"We are very excited about adding Marley Coffee to our coffee program. Our clientele, especially the student base has embraced this product and the story that comes with it. We see Marley Coffee as a key partner to future growth" continued Evans.
Coffee distribution in Food Service is a multi-billion dollar vertical within the coffee industry, and Marley Coffee is seeking to capture a large share of this market. Marley Coffee now has distribution programs in the Grocery Retail, Online Retail, Online Monthly Membership, Office Coffee Service, and Food Service industry. Ok can anyone tell me on the 10Q what the $640,000 License exspense is for ? Thanks Rick
This is speculative stock. It may run again as other Coffee stocks are making nice run.
totally agree. ive learned to cut my gains as well as my losses. like what happened to BLOAQ the other day--all pennies are susceptible to similar situations. as far as this stock goes...it's looking pretty rock bottom. Some day by this week or mid next it may be a very good short term hold IMO
Been watching this one for a while as well (I have a relative who works at Merril Lych tell me about it), but I never pulled the trigger. I have learned over the years to never, ever, keep pennies long term - no matter how good you think it is going to be. I was about to pull the trigger on this one around 60, then it shot up - I wasn't about to chase it. Glad I didn't.
sadly, not much...
as far as i can tell, they are not even producing the coffee that they are selling, just the packaging...
someone please correct me if i'm wrong..
too bad, i have been watching this for almost a year, i thought this may be a rare penny keeper, luckily and or sadly i never pulled the trigger. last spring, it just began to move too fast for me and i got cold feet.. thought i would jump in some time here on the fall, but something tells me to keep watching for a while.
Your are right about John, thats why I bought in and done me very good but should have got out completely instead of going back for more----------JOHN--have anything good to say about this Company now--would love to hear from you. They do have good news here lately and do believe to see somewhat of a bounce back-antboby else have the same thought??
Never heard of it, how exactly did he blow this up? Did he send spam emails / twitters / etc..?? Is he one of the people that JAMN said was running unauthorized promos? just curious ...
the only reason this went up is because of the guy that runs Hack the stock market, John, who blew this up otherwise its not worth it!! when's he next pick lol
without the revs sustaining this market cap, I dont believe any news will really help that much. Unless they are bought out or sumthin to that effect...
Going Up or Dowm? Does good news do nothing or is it just a show?

"Eventually, the smartest of you will come to realize that the people actually making money only come to iHub for entertainment."
That's the truth
I still don't understand why people were ever long this stock when a careful reading of SEC filings made it obvious that this company was not worth the lofty market valuation. Why do people think that they can just latch on to a stock with upward momentum and make money? That may work a few times, but you are sure to lose in the long run.
Eventually, the smartest of you will come to realize that the people actually making money only come to iHub for entertainment.
I really doubt Rohan had any idea what the heck was going on with the biz... If anyone thinks he actually 'ran' things, well, welcome to the micros
The only money Noah ever made was from weed! To think people got suckered by a burnout
Down. Penny stock. And I'm not shorting. I'm in at $2.50!
I think they ran on the name first and now it will take a bit longer but myself have the thought that this stock will be on the run in a short time from now, at least to the 1.50-2.00 range. Does anyboby else have any thoughts about it going up or down in the near future.
Anybody else see this?
We Be Jammin!
Time for us to give out "I told you so"s again, following an announcement that the SEC is investigating Jammin' Java Corp (JAMN) for a spring season Pump & Dump which we were screaming about as far back as April. We took tons of criticism for reporting on the obvious scheme that resulted in many making ill gotten profits while many more collectively lost 10s of millions of dollars.
According to a Bloomberg report, the SEC probe was revealed by the filing of lawsuits intended to quash subpoenas issued in conjunction with the investigation. The SEC does not generally discuss their investigations, so such revelations could only come from court documents or those working closely with the SEC.
Obviously, we are not surprised by the SEC investigation, as we called it back in April and we believe similar probes are in the works for more recent Pump & Dump subjects LSTG and POTG, amongst others.

Just like his father..a wannabe and fraud.
I tend to agree. It lacked the marque flurry of PRs when the flurry of promotion was going on. I think Marley did a little toxic funding to move things forward giving shares on the cheap to get some needed capital. Why Marley didn't put up his own money to move his project forward is a question to ask. I don't know the specifics of the deals so just my muzings.
Unfortunately Marley Coffee has a long way to go before the stock gets back over a buck as they will need to overcome this darkening cloud. Perhaps they will. I've stated before I tried the product and liked it. Hell, I'd even pick some up if I see in the store. I'd like to see Marley succeed. He father was a wonderful man.
JMHO.
I hope you are right. I hope this isn't a pump and dump. I hope Marley is legit. However I need some hard proof presented really quickly. The SEC doesn't "randomly" investigate companies without just cause. He may not have profited from this pump. God knows he has plenty of money, but did any of the insiders profit? We'll see. I look forward to a thorough examination by the SEC.
Joshuri,You need to be prudent on how you convey such a besmirching remark about a Marley whom you dont really know.Be very careful or you will need a very good attorney. This company has a very legitimate business but such situations are unfortunate and the company was never aware regarding these acts. They dont need any help from pump and dump promoters.
JAMN - Just getting up to speed on this. I will try to follow as much as possible.
Bogus if you ask me. Marley is a crook. The whole company stinks of fraud. Feel bad for those who lost big money. I'm out under a grand, but some prolly lost their shirts on this pump and dump. When and if it ever hits $1 I am out and moving on. Just don't have confidence in them any longer.
JAMN - Jammin Java Corp Issues Statement on SEC Investigation
Jammin Java Corp (OTCBB:JAMN)
Today : Friday 9 September 2011
As reported in recent news articles, the United States Securities & Exchange Commission ("SEC") has been conducting a non-public and confidential inquiry in order to determine whether Jammin Java Corp (OTC Bulletin Board:JAMN.ob) ("Jammin"), and any party affiliated or unaffiliated with Jammin, has violated the federal securities laws by participating in an unlawful "pump and dump" scheme to artificially inflate Jammin's stock price. Neither Jammin, nor anyone affiliated with the company, has participated in any "pump and dump" or other unlawful scheme designed to unlawfully inflate the company's stock. Jammin expressly repudiates any such fraudulent conduct and strongly condemns any unlawful activity.
In May 2011, Jammin became aware that unauthorized internet stock promoters were promoting short term investments in the company's stock in "stock reports" and on their websites. As stated in Jammin's May 6, 2011 Form 8-K, Jammin has no knowledge of, or affiliation with, these stock promoters. As a result, neither Jammin, nor anyone affiliated with the company, authorized, paid for or approved any stock report, advertisement or promotion of the company's stock. Any information regarding Jammin that is authorized by the company and approved for public distribution will be issued by Jammin itself through periodic filings with the SEC and/or through an authorized press release.
In connection with its inquiry, the SEC has asked Jammin to provide certain information and documents. Jammin has responded to the SEC's requests and is otherwise fully cooperating with the SEC inquiry. In addition, pursuant to its own internal investigation performed by its outside counsel, Jammin has not found any evidence indicating that anyone associated with Jammin has been involved in an illegal stock promotion scheme or any other fraudulent activity.
The Chairman of Jammin's Board of Directors, Rohan Marley, states the following: "Jammin Java Corp. strongly condemns any activity that runs afoul of the securities laws and fair and honest dealing. We have fully cooperated with the SEC investigation and hope to see any wrongdoers identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We care deeply about our shareholders and will defend them and the company against any activity that threatens our reputation and shareholder value. We expect the hard-work of our team and the quality of our product to be the only catalyst in the growth of our stock price over time."

SEC Probes Jammin Java, Company Chaired by Bob Marley’s Son
September 07, 2011, 7:56 PM EDT
By Karen Gullo
(Updates with company filing in second paragraph.)
http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-09-07/sec-probes-jammin-java-company-chaired-by-bob-marley-s-son.html
Sept. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Jammin Java Corp., a coffee company chaired by son of the reggae legend Bob Marley, is under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission for possible involvement in a so-called pump and dump scheme.
The SEC staff is looking into whether online newsletters touting Jammin Java stock through blast faxes and investor message boards contained false and misleading information, according to documents filed Sept. 2 in federal court in Oakland, California. The company said in a May SEC filing that no one at Jammin Java authorized or paid for any stock reports.
The probe was disclosed in a lawsuit by individuals trying to block SEC subpoenas issued in the investigation.
Jammin Java’s share price rose from 17 cents in December to $6.35 on May 12, after which it plunged to less than a $1 a share, the SEC said in the documents.
The jump in the Los Angeles-based coffee wholesaler coincided with the dissemination of newsletters lauding its stock, the SEC claimed. A formal order of investigation was issued in May directing staff to investigate possible securities law violations by Jammin Java, its officers, partners, consultants and “other persons and entities,” the documents said. Rohan Marley is the company’s chairman.
‘Shell Company’
“The increase in Jammin Java’s share price occurred nothwithstanding the fact that Jammin Java’s public filings during that time period reflected that Jammin Java was a shell company that had generated no revenues and had an accumulated deficit of $511,760,” the SEC said in documents.
Stuart Smith, head of investor relations at Jammin Java, declined to comment immediately on the SEC documents. He cited a company regulatory filing that had warned investors of “unauthorized stock promotion campaigns touting short term investments in company’s stock which are paid for third parties” without the company’s knowledge. The company said it “expressly repudiates the promotions.”
John Nester, an SEC spokesman, didn’t immediately answer an e-mail seeking comment on the investigation send after regular business hours.
