My view is that Intel always has the best process technology. What they didn't have was enough EUV machines to do "copy exactly" across all their fabs. The rest is history...
The only evidence there ever was was AMD's say so.

Intel, TSMC Reportedly in Talks to Build New US Foundries

Note, this article is not about a joint venture but individual companies acting on their own.
I have no idea about Intel using TSMC. Where did you hear that?
I don't follow things closely any more. It's too peaceful out here on the desert, far from the cares of society. We don't even have a single positive virus case in my zipcode.

An unsubstantiated accusation. This is right up your alley...

I don't think you need a PhD to know that was too much risk. Ultra tight metal1 pitch without EUV, plus cobalt? All at the same time and no plan B? The process people should have know better and the CEO didn't override them? It's the CEO's job to manage risk. No wonder the idiot was fired.
FPG
Yes, if you invested in AMD you did extremely well. I made some money on it but not as much as I could have. They've really done far better than I expected. For once they have honest and ethical management. I don't know what's happened to Intel's process technology. I think they did something very exotic and risky with no plan B. Plan A didn't work.

The last of the old order.

I hear you but unfortunately, I don't have enough shares to oust the BOD.
Koog
The CEO is hired by the BOD and serves at their pleasure. The CEO can't fire his bosses.
I remember Tim May. He was cantankerous and lacked any social skills. I never met him. Don't think I would have liked him. I hope he can find some peace.

GB - Long time no see.
Bitcoin may die but blockchain will find a permanent place.
I tried bitcoin mining earlier this year. Didn't quite break even. Even with 68 solar panels here on the ranch my power bill went through the roof.

Hmmm...
Where to store them is my concern.
I store them in my underground vault.

Don't those have 4 memory channels as well? All those PCIe channels without more memory channels doesn't seem to make sense.
This board now has 2 Clowns. I don't believe in censorship except in extreme cases. I'm sorry for those who don't have an "Ignore" feature.
joseph - Please. If we degrade into a political pissing contest the admins well just start deleting things. Best for folks just agree to disagree.
It was unintentional. I was just saving space.
Let the speculation begin...
Alphabet Inc.'s (GOOGL)(GOOGL) Google Cloud Platform confirmed Tuesday its Chief Operating Officer Diane Bryant is no longer with the company following news reports of her departure. "We can confirm that Diane Bryant is no longer with Google ," the company said in an emailed statement to MarketWatch. "We are grateful for the contributions she made while at Google and we wish her the best in her next pursuit."
I wonder what her next pursuit might be?????
Your side lost. Act like an adult and accept the fact that not everyone sees things your way.
Flem, let's just say you and I see the world very differently and leave it at that. We don't need a political pissing contest here.
Andy
Intel’s firing of CEO Brian Krzanich is a cover for deeper problems
I agree with the headline, however the venom the author spews is like listening to CNN or MSNBC. The fact is that 10nm is years late and who knows when or if it will hit volume production in it's current form. The excuse for his firing is transparently thin. Obviously Intel made a very high risk decision without a viable Plan B. Under his leadership political correctness won out over technical excellence. In today's social climate, I don't see how the ship can be righted without hurting someone's feelings.
I couldn't help myself.

Flem - take your meds.

You are the one who made the claim, not me.
But seeing as you are unable to present the slightest documentation to support your claim, I will at least point you to a list of the EXACT BARS held by SLV:
https://emea-markets.jpmorgan.com/metalicsWebAppJanus/publicUnauthenticated/BONY_SLV.pdf
Now you may claim they are lieing, but that's an argument you can take up with those who claim to have seen bigfoot. Now show us some data that proves they are wrong. Perhaps you can and enlighten us all, or as I suspect, perhaps you can't.
"What I have" is a pile of silver that would sink a boat
On the internet you can claim anything you want. What you don't have is any evidence. Just wanted to point out that there are lots of claims when it comes to SLV. Just like Bigfoot. I'd like to know if any are true. Unfortunately nobody can seem to produce any real data.
BTW, I only hold 5 shares of SLV I picked up from writing Puts. I also hold lots of physical.
Fine. You have no evidence. I'll put it in the Bigfoot and UFO category.
But do you have any evidence?
Maddog
The SLV vaults clearly do not hold even near enough physical silver to cover your crazy bets on this ETF
I find this hard to believe. Where is your evidence to support this claim?

Russ Fisher was an occasional author and frequent poster on Seeking Alpha. He did have a stroke and has not been back since. Occasionally someone will report they were in touch with him but apparently he's not interested in (capable?) authoring any more SA articles of posting there either.

You can find information on removed posts under "settings/my removed posts". You will see that your post was deleted by the "Mod Squad" not the local board moderators. I did not find it overly offensive but it's not my call. You might try being a little more civil though. It goes a long way.
Ideal_Inv
It just doesn't make any sense that Intel, after being a generation or two ahead of everyone else for decades and with an enormous R&D budget, would suddenly be tripping over their own shoelaces, unable to get something working that superficially looks no better than everyone else's generic, run of the mill process intended to cover a wide array of product needs.
