Congrats everyone for sticking around. Such a strong day, sure seems like the first day of a new uptrend.
nice dig out from the transcripts.
Apparently this company does something similar i.e. bringing real persons to 3D:

$3.6 million in commercial revenue. Up from 1.6 million last Q.
Turns out I was onto something here at this post (for once at least!)
Still a little bit mysterious what exactly is going on in this segment incl. military.

Glad your 5C was ITM.
Fish hunter I saw you posted on PCTI forum some time ago, are you still in that? Just out of curiosity. I have a large position with 4.70 avg there.
Also turns out it's fun to get 3 quarters of earnings in a row haha.
What project are you referring to?
Does anyone know what exactly is included in the commercial segment? There is the shooting range partnership and military that I can think of. Could this revenue be IVAS-related? (recoil kits?) or some other form of military training ?
I just desperately want to see progress on the military side so I may be seeing things. But the commentary "five fold compared to last year" is interesting. If there were no follow-up growth in the next 5 months (which they already know with benefit of foresight) why highlight it like that?
I’m excited about this part:
We realized strong growth in multiple markets with government revenue increasing 38% year-over-year and commercial revenue, which includes the military market, increasing almost five-fold from the prior year period to $1.6 million.
What is this 1.6M military revenue that was not there a year ago?
nice to see fishhunter optimistic.
That would be lots more co-CEOs lol.
It was a reaction today to a big shareholder (private account but influential) tweeting that he added to his position this week in anticipation of new potential contracts.
This is great news. Bay Area is the wokest patch of our nation and many surrounding cities/agencies in this densely populated area will be interested in fancy police training once word gets out.
Good luck!
Bid and Ask at 5.00 and 5.01 with many calls and puts expiring. Have you ever seen such a right spread in VTSI? Volatility dampening market makers making sure the options expire worthless? I guess this is why you should never bet with options in illiquid stocks.
There were 700 call options (open interest) at strike 5.00 expiring tomorrow.
Since there are market makers who sold those options, I was just speculating that they would want to keep the price under 5 so the contracts are worthless. It's pretty easy with illiquid stocks. If that is right, there may be selling pressure to keep stock under 5 for tomorrow only.
Exactly. Remember the 30% drop when IVAS was "put on hold". There will be a stampede to get in when anything military is deemed material.
Thanks for the reasoning.
By the way, how much sales do you expect from IVAS program when that materializes?
OPEX shenanigans start from today. Seemed like low volume selling to keep price under 5. I bought into that at 4.80s. 700 contracts open interest expiring tomorrow, that is significant.
What's interesting is, I placed the bid at 5.00 right before closing, while the ask was 4.95, and got filled at 4.84.
If anything, the post enforces the view that the products won’t sell themselves. Is the strategy to “hope that state and local governments will be encouraged by federal programs” which are not binding for them?
I got about the same as you. Big position for me.
very informative...
We need some deep pocket investors to discover and transform Virtra. I know the base is very fragmented. How many big shareholders do you think there are? Does anyone even have more than Ferris's 3%?
you have solid writing skills. Your posts read like a poem.
Ferris always alludes to very real progress in military markets that they cannot yet disclose. I hope that’s why.
What are your thoughts on AXON acquiring a virtual training studio? I’d like to think it positions Virtra as an attractive acquisition target. We have the best product which we’re just not great at selling.
I believe it is just a matter of time. Military contract will transform this company. Growing Police training orders provide good optionality but Across different accounts I’m now a % owner of the company and military is what I’m betting on.
Hey fishhunter, just realized you're on RELL and PCTI as well as VTSI
What is your thesis on this one, would you mind sharing?
Thanks.
Your posts are gold :D
Fishhunter, you should give that stockholder democracy guy (Don) a call. The effort is good to pressure the CEO.
Wow, didn't know they were handpicked by Ferris. You know a lot about this company. I have to think then that weak corporate governance must be weighing on the stock price. The outcome would be great though if Ferris is somehow convinced to change a few things.
So I learned that at Virtra the whole board is up for reelection all at once, which may be an opportunity.
Shareholders should be in control of the board. I agree that's probably a long shot if there aren't too many big stock holders. But if the board is getting their shares for free, and don't own much stock, much less risk own capital by purchasing stock, they won't have any skin in the game.
I hope you're right, maybe big owners somehow step up now that the company seems to be at an inflection point with growing sales and new initiatives.

Please drop a line to Don and to support this effort.
Please mention that you heard about this through Tim O'Connell who is another activist shareholder gathering support for this.

Well, the afternoon seller-into-no-liquidity boogeyman of the past few days seems gone today.
Are you referring to the cancelled CBP RFP?
Does anyone have any idea why the recent drop on no news might be happening?
Patiently waiting for IVAS to materialize.
Glad I dumped this long time ago. I warned everyone here not to keep buying the dip. A diagnostic company that can't sell tests during a pandemic. Pathetic...
They will probably sell stock.
Because it’s a solid growth stock that has found support.
My point is any solid company is probably a better investment.
For the sake of everyone else I will delete my posts by tomorrow.
I sold at 23 , 18, 17, 16,15 and 14 today and am not interested at 10. I hope you get a bounce to get out. Don’t forget if it goes to 5 you still lose half your money.
