Unfortunately you need to take 8 to get the same dosage, I tried it once while waiting for Vascepa to be restocked, the fish burping was very unpleasant.
I guess in lieu of Vascepa it’s better than nothing.

Capt Beer,
It must be remembered that all of this information regarding EPA is “OBVIOUS” according to the Judge!
Viagra actually lowers your BP, as a matter of fact that’s what it was being evaluated for when we realized it had the side effect it’s marketed for now. I was one of the pilots on Pfizer‘s Gulfstream the day Bill Steere (Chairman) got on board in Groton Conn. and had a big ole smile on his face.
We asked him what was up and he told us about the side effect. The other pilot asked him can it be taken with alcohol?, Bill said good point that’s probably what it’s gonna be used for the most!! Lol
I specifically asked for the “NON BOARD SOLICITED CONTROLL NUMBER when I called TD at (888) 723-8504
When I plugged it into Proxyvote.com it gave me all of the Sarissa recommendations on each of the 9 questions (spoon fed).
I received a call from this number, (877) 796-5274 (Okapi Partners) soliciting my White vote on behalf of the Amarin BOD.
The call dropped before I could speak my mind so I called the number back and it worked. I suggest everybody call this number and clog their lines with negative feedback regarding the board.
He asked me what I was unhappy about, I told him I that i have owned this stock since before Vascepa was approved and it was called AMR101, and that on paper I had made well over $1 million and now I’ve lost well over $1 million because of the inept incompetent BOD
Robert,
Such an incredible speech and so appropriate with regard to Marjac and his efforts.
Thanks for posting.
Captbeer,
Happy to hear you had the same experience as I did, you definitely hit the Mother Lode having gotten a surgeon trained by Dr. David Samadi , the Father of robotic Prostate surgery.
Cheers,
Walter
Rosemountbomber,
Yes, the operation was 110% successful with no cancer or side effects. I had the Da Vinci robotic surgery performed at Penn medicine by Dr. David Lee. He is an incredibly skillful talented surgeon that has one of the nicest personalities I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. As an extremely healthy athletic 59 year old he told me that he could all but guarantee I would have none of the side effects that men so fear. That being said he was right, six days after the surgery I was on no medications and was able to go back to Flying for a living. eta
I would highly recommend them to any men on this board that have prostate cancer, however Dr. Lee is no longer at Penn Medicine, he has since moved to California working for Stanford. If you’re on the West Coast or don’t mind traveling for the procedure I was in the hospital less than 24 hours and would’ve been able to travel the next day with no restrictions as a passenger. If any of you do look him up please tell him Walter H, the corporate pilot from Philly recommended him.
Cheers,

Examiner77, I was on Vascepa since it was approved and had a Prostatectomy 14 months ago.....didn’t work!
However my Surgeon was amazed by my rapid 100% recovery, I was back in the cockpit 6 days later on my way to Europe, no meds, no diapers!!!
He said he’s noticed people with low CRP (0.6, normal range <8) and high EPA (5.7, normal range .2-1.5%) appear to heal more quickly so maybe it helped me.

I’ve been on iVascepa since it first came out, just the opposite regarding joint pain, never felt better. As far as throat pain, first I’ve heard of it.
I dropped both Ms Chinn and Mr Jones a short email stating how I hope more ABC affiliates will pick up her informative, factual report.!
Dmlcento..., I’ve been taking Vascepa since it hit the pharmacy shelves, most mornings on an empty stomach and lot of the time four at once. I’ve never experienced any heartburn, fish burp or other gastrointestinal discomfort.
I’m not sure why you experienced this but you’re the first to report it I believe.
Local Philadelphia ABC news had Dr Nissan on spouting off about Omega 3’s being useless this morning. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe it was a Vascepa Capsule and also part of the bottle’s label shown, I was too far away from the TV to be sure.

$AMRN can someone get this article over to IHub for bio billionaire? This adds to his “taking” theory. Adding to the marksman blog that doesn’t recognize this SCOTUS ruling. Clearly hatch Waxman is violating the taking clause.

Cardiologymd,
Out of curiosity , what are your blood types?
Vascepa should help with arterial thromboembolism due to excessive inflammation I would think. It took my CRP from an already low 6.6 to just 0.6 !

Thoughts and Prayers for your Grandson’s speedy recovery and that the rest of your Family stay healthy!
mrmainstreet, I was a Corporate Pilot with Pfizer for 27 years and we took hydroxychloroquine prophylactically (prescribed dosages) when flying into certain regions of Latin America and Africa to keep from getting Malaria with absolutely no side effects. That being said, there are possible reactions that some experience, headache, dizziness, ringing in your ears, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, weight loss, mood changes, feeling nervous or irritable and skin rash or itching to name a few. It’s a proven drug that is very potent and can harm you if you self medicate like all drugs!!!
RAF,
I have taken Chloroquine as a Malaria Chemoprophylaxis while traveling throughout Latin America during my almost 30 years flying for Pfizer, I never had any bad reactions whatsoever.
dmiller, I’m glad to here that HDL’s aren’t nine!!! Lol
Have a good weekend.
driller,
Triglyceride HDL ratio has been said to be an indicator for coronary artery disease. Granted your Triglycerides are good, however your HDL’s are horribly low, a ratio of 2.5 and under have been associated with low cardiovascular risk.

High Ratio of Triglycerides to HDL-Cholesterol Predicts Extensive Coronary Disease
CONCLUSIONS
“Although some lipid variables were associated with the extent of coronary disease, the ratio of triglycerides to HDL-cholesterol showed the strongest association with extent.”

Last Wednesday David I. Lee, MD performed a daVinci Prostatectomy at Penn Medicine on me. I was released on Thursday late morning and went to lunch with my wife, later that day I walked 4 miles on my treadmill. On the following Tuesday (less than a week) I returned to have my Catheter removed. They told me to drink a lot of fluids and stay close in case I had problems urinating, hit the Irish Pub around the corner for a pint of ale, 2 pints of water and a Salmon Salad, once again no issues! I am back to the gym doing 45 minutes of cardio and light weights (day 8). Other than the pain killers I revived during surgery I was on nothing other than Tylenol for two days. I spoke with my Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) On Wednesday (1 week post Op.) and was released to flight status. All of my incisions are healed and barely noticeable ( day 10), no diapers and no restrictions other than no heavy weights for awhile
My reason for posting all of this BS is that I am sure that my being on Vascepa since 2012 and having an incredible Surgeon has led to such a remarkable recovery.
Welcome back Sam
