(1) If the warrants expired on October 22, then how does it take until November 10 for them to disappear?
(2) Has anyone caught up to Buffington and broken his legs yet?
Just checked my account with Fidelity after hours. Warrants haven’t gone to zero yet. Still listed as being worth $0.035. Volume today was stupid: 347.11K which is 805% vs. average.
Oddly, October 22 is a Saturday (markets closed). So do the warrants expire worthless at the end of business on Friday, October 21 or do we have to wait until Monday, October 24 to see them go to $0.00 in our brokerage accounts?
That’s what most shareholders thought back in 2015. It was a scam then and it’s a scam today.
You think this is ever going to $44 again? Nuts!
Allied Nevada wasn't just exploring they were producing. And with a share price of over $44 in the Summer of 2011. What's the share price now? $1.36? Good luck with that!
If this is the most significant Silver resource in the United States (in one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world), why did they declare bankruptcy in 2015? Just remember, if they robbed shareholders once and got away with it they could do it again.
Six months to go. Something better happen quick.
I forget who it was recently. Might have been Gerald Celente or Marc Faber. He said that the SEC only exists to protect big business, not the small investor. Recall the China Gold incident in January 2014 where there was a phony takeover bid for Allied Nevada at $7.50 a share. Sure, the scammers were caught and ordered to pay $5.8 million by the SEC but did we ever see any of that money?
I had 100,000 shares. Now with 10,000+ warrants. Bulk of it in an IRA that I’d been saving up in for 20 years. Totally destroyed my retirement savings…and there’s no taking capital gains losses. Bewildered that nobody has killed Randy and Tracey yet…or at least broken their legs.
* On a side note, it took me seven years but I did make all my money back and then some. Took a huge stake in Karora Resources (KRRGF) located in Western Australia which is swimming in Gold and Nickel. Bought in at .18 cents a share in 2018 when it was Royal Nickel; now pushing $6 a share and maybe heading to $30.
But hey, Tracey is still on the team! The old Allied Nevada VP for Investor Relations is now the Hycroft VP for Investor Relations. The bankruptcy didn’t seem to affect her. Probably still gets together with former CEO Randy for drinks and laughs about how they pulled off the ANV robbery and how she's lining up some new suckers.
Bre-X did.
HYMCZ = shareholders robbed in the first bankruptcy.
HYMC = shareholders who'll be robbed in the next one.
Welcome to the party! Now you know what it was like for shareholders in 2015 when the company pulled off their bankruptcy / robbery.
I didn't actually buy the warrants, they're what I ended up with after the bankruptcy / robbery. I had 100,000 shares of ANV and now have roughly 10,000 warrants (HYMCZ). Lots of us old ANV shareholders are in the same boat. We contacted lawyers, the SEC, Congress, etc., but nothing happened. A real scam when you're sitting on BILLIONS in Gold & Silver, can declare bankruptcy and then start over.
The 2015 bankruptcy / robbery is very relevant today. My entire Roth IRA was wiped out. I'd planned to sell and move everything into Kirkland Lake which would've made me a millionaire. Now I'm stuck with pretty much worthless HYMCZ warrants that expire in October 2022.
Contact the company and ask about the bankruptcy / robbery in 2015. This was once a $40 stock.

Lots of new posters. Where've they all been since the 2015 bankruptcy / robbery?
The time to get into Karora was at .19 cents back in 2018 when it was still Royal Nickel (I did). Now it's $5 a share. But it still might go to $20—either on its own or in a buyout. Elon Musk needs nickel for his cars.
No permit yet. But I'm still holding 50,000 shares just in case. Might see $20+ again. After the ANV fiasco I've been able to bounce back and my biggest holding right now is Karora Resources—Gold and Nickel play in Australia. And I think we all know the Nickel situation. Karora is swimming in it.
When you combine Gold and Copper, Pebble Mine (Alaska) is the largest in the world.
It's kind of like Northern Dynasty (Pebble Mine) in Alaska. The stuff is there. Now just try getting it out of the ground.
HYMCZ shelf life is only good until October. Something needs to happen soon for warrant holders from the 2015 bankruptcy / robbery to break even or make a profit.
So how does a stock price of $14 in 2024 help current warrant holders?
Hey, brains! How do you take a tax loss in a Roth IRA?
Does this mean I get my $73,000 back? And opportunity cost of about $2 million if I’d put it all into Kirkland Lake at $1.50 like I’d planned.
Yeah, 14 months left officially on the warrants. But try dumping them late next summer to try and salvage a few dollars. There won't be any buyers.
Not if you had shares in an IRA. The only way there is to liquidate the entire IRA or Roth IRA. Meaning bye-bye retirement savings. And you get wacked with a 10% early-withdrawal penalty if you're under 59 and 1/2.
You guys have done everything you could do.
Not quite. Buffy and Tracey are still walking around pretty healthy.
They better discover something good in the next 15 months. The clock is ticking.
Reminds me of China Gold in January 2014. Bogus $780 million offer for ANV drove the price up to $7.00 but it didn't last long. Wasn't there a big fine paid to the SEC on that scam? All I know is I never saw a penny of it.
Can't take capital losses in a Roth IRA. If a stock goes to zero, you're screwed. Happened to me with 100,000 shares of Allied Nevada in my Roth.
Yes, you are correct. There will be no succession. On the other hand, there's always secession.
Less than that. By the summer of 2022 nobody is going to give you a nickel for warrants expiring in October.
Palladium went from $175 to $2,700. Rhodium went from $450 to $21,000. What’s the difference?
President & CEO of Sprott U.S. Holdings is Rick Rule. I e-mailed him once about my various precious metals holdings. He gave me ratings on all of my companies except one: Hycroft. For that he said he had no comment.
Okay, so it's not $197 for each share. But I am surprised that the California Public Employees Retirement System is still in this with 13,800 shares. Probably just holding tight like the rest of us seeing how it all plays out.
So this means my 10,084 warrants are worth $1,986,548? I’ll take it in cash.
Book. SEC. Lawsuits. Setting sell price at $39.99. All very cute. But in reality the only thing that’s going to scare Muddy is if something bad happens to Buffy. Buffy “accidentally” gets run down by a car. Buffy “accidentally” drowns in his pool. Buffy “accidentally” gets pushed out a window. Then Muddy might stop screwing us over.
My opportunity cost is north of $1.5 Million. Initial investment into ANV was $50,000. Rode it up to $90,000. My plan: once it hit $100k I’d take profits (half) and put it into another stock. I was loving Kirkland Lake at $1.65. So $50,000 divided by $1.65 is 30,303 shares. KL eventually hit $55. I would’ve sold at $50 and semi-retired.
