What a pathetically small fine and sanction. No admission of guilt, barely a hand slap.
Hilarious! And the CEO’s of all of the failed CI combo trials should be applauded for how quickly they all descended the learning curve of failure since The learning curve of success has been so elusively difficult and only (apparently) ascended by one our own LP who is (apparently) deserving of such severe criticism by those here who know the trial outcomes before the trials are complete.
Things that make you go hmmmmm......
I have never googled Optune and tested it by googling DCVax L and an Optune ad appears at the top of the search.
What kind of car is she driving? We all want to know.
Especially true, and that we have lost 5 years worth of people who could have been treated with Direct and who could still be alive like Allan B.
Agreed. Marcum is ethically impeccable.
N/M! Yes DC Vax Direct can meet the challenges of genetic diversity!
No I don’t think so. Read it again for understanding.
You must have run out of Monopoly money just as you were landing on the buyout of Boardwalk and Park Place.
Good memories....lol
There is a published paper-a couple of them! There is a lot of public knowledge. It is posted constantly. Why wish for Info that could undermine the big picture? It’s obvious that patients are living longer and almost all got DC Vax. They will unblind when they think it is the best interest of the company for many reasons previously stated. Do you really want to rush things so that a the reimbursement rates are lower than they could be if approved or that they lose out in other ways in the competitive edge? The droning whining is not going to get you what you want.
I guess there aren’t enough shareholders who are fed up because the vast majority continue to vote with Management. My vote will be with the one who had the courage, smarts and temerity to think outside the box and to bring a solution forward based on science that is not one size fits all, does not harm the patient, enables a cure or much longer survival, and continues to improve upon the technology rather than resting on the laurels of future profits. Big pharma didn’t do it-why should they be able to buy it as it approaches the finish line when they didn’t do anything to help push it forward and was likely involved in trying to thwart it? My vote is solidly with the one who brung us-Linda Powers.
Love this and 1000% agree! This should be stickied because it accurately addresses years worth of bogus and defamatory comments with plain and simple truths. Well done.
And.....
“I can’t tell you much....”
Agreed! As well as pride in helping get this product over the finish line.
No she didn’t throw longs under the bus. She is a long. This trial had many unpredictable factors and massive manipulation of the stock, fake news driven lawsuits, and massive interference by competitors and a certain individual and his buddies. She has held it together through unbelievable odds. Look at the results of “Best of ASCO” and what we know about DC Vax. Early investors take the risk of future dilution. What has been learned from this trial alone could become a doctorate degree program. This was novel, never before done and she paid a bigger price than all of us yet having lost a significant amount owed to her when she had to give back MFN share, she still maintained an unbelievable tenacity to survive and keep moving forward. No one can Monday Morning Quarterback this trial because no one else has done what she has and no one has all of the information about the malicious interference.
Agreed 100%. Best wishes to you.
The attacks against the company have never been proven wrong! Not sure what you consider proof!
I finally listened to the whole interview. She seemed to go out of her way to um her way through questions about DC Vax and go out of her way to sound more enthusiastic about other research and underplay that DCVax shows improved outcomes across all subtypes. I agree with her that other approaches are needed so that those subtypes with shorter survival have the chance to live as long as those for who it appears to be a cure. No question she is a great surgeon. My question is how she has conducted herself in ways that are in video and in tape that are out of the norm for investigators speaking about data in a trial before it is published. She has been reckless and unscientifically unclear in her taped comments contributing to the instability in the share price. That should not be her role.
I agree with you but what she has been saying is unprofessional on every level because she has revealed non official information about the trial before publications, unblinding and applications that I have never seen done by someone in her position.
Possibly to be released from her role in the trial so that she can pursue other opportunities and funding that could be perceived as a conflict of interest while the trial is still running? Maybe other funders and sponsors have tried to poach her. She has sabotaged the trial's appearance of success several times. With the stats that have been publicly released, I agree that it does not make sense from an investigator perspective. And from a data perspective. We know Adam was talking with her from earlier posts. If someone were to persuade her to jump ship with a lot of financial incentives, that would certainly be a big nail in the coffin the wolves are trying to build. Just a guess pieced together from prior posts a year or more ago that questioned her loyalty to the trial.
Do you remember my post about LL and her propensity to "freak people out" regarding this trial? She seems to make a habit and a pattern of it. That usually isn't by accident if it happens more than once. She now has her MBA in addition to MD. She knows the business implications of her comments. My guess she feels competitive with the evolving product that NWBO developed based on her initial research and that she is less integral to the optimized product than one would be led to believe.
Yes that is accurate. He did have surgery to remove all or most of his tumors.
I emailed it to someone on June 8 and it was still live. Did anyone archive it?
Agreed!
Sentiment is not being paid and is scrupulous about what she does. She is passionate about the company and the product because of personal experience, like me. She has taken time to get to know management and has confidence in their integrity which mirrors the integrity of the product. It takes incredible fortitude to see something like this through, and like management who could have cut and run, she is dedicated to finding out the truth so the company's activity don't drown in the lies put out by shorts.
Thank you Sentiment for all of the work you put into understanding the technology and the intricacies of the trial, stats, manufacturing , approval, and the activities of the bad guys. It has been invaluable to those who believe in this product and are not giving up.
Well said. She is motivated for the product to succeed which should translate into success for shareholders. Investors with the fortitude for the long view will be rewarded imo
Maybe it is ACB who is advocating for silence....like a stealth operation. And Bla bla bla about NWBO being a public company. They disclose and report what they have to, as most likely confirmed by many lawsuits that went settled or dropped with no remuneration.
They are only worth a successful trial in GBM, unlike the rest of BP's efforts and lots of patients living longer. I guess we will have to see what that translates into in dollars and cents.
I have never seen an estimate that low.
Simple comments deserve simple answers.....in the end, they will lose.
Related party transactions are not illegal. They must be carried out with fiduciary care. The delisting was an arbitrary interpretation of the rules. But all of this has been gone through ad nauseum. You choose to believe the worst in all of these actions, yet the trial continued and nears the end. Patients are living longer. The companies that you choose to believe are being run better don't have the results that DC Vax has.
Good for you. I weigh it in lives also and know dozens of people who would have loved to have been able to have this treatment if were not being thwarted by the shorts. So my value equation is not as simplistic.
Great post. Thumbs up for the positivity. There should be nothing but pride in what has been accomplished and lives lengthened and saved. Science has been advanced tremendously and this is just 1.0! Direct and all of the label additions will come. There has never been a technology with more potential and a smarter more committed leader to see it through against Goliath odds. LP may be weary but she is going to win. She is a winner. She knows she will succeed which keeps her motivated.
The only thing I am sure of is that the public markets are totally corrupt and the vulnerability that has enabled 1,000 other biotechs to be destroyed thwarting innovation and economic prosperity has not happened with NWBO. Linda has kept the trial going and has 80+ patients alive. That will translate to $$ eventually, but because this is the wild wild Wild West, it is not a linear process. But you know that.
And I think completely the opposite of you. Why? If Big Pharma was smart enough and cared enough to take a technology that no one believed in and nurse it through 10 years of struggles and attacks, financial turmoil and politics, and ended up with a safe and effective treatment for one of the most devastating and hard to treat cancers then they would have done so. But they aren't and they didn't. Linda did and is. So I will continue to place my trust in her rather than allow another company to swoop in and take it and all the hard earned profits. No. Ain't gonna happen.
Remember that they are all investors too and aren't getting any younger. I never said that one needs to be a cancer patient or to have lost one to qualify as an investor. What I did say is that it makes me trust her integrity, motives, strategy, and intent. The adjudication could have a lot to do with the unblinding date, not just the event rate, but that is just a guess. I think what she might have been saying is that OS is a home run, and PFS might be also but confirmation is needed from the adjudication panel. This guards against the potential for opposition to approval and gives them and us the full suite of aces.
I do not believe the trial will go on indefinitely and not giving an objective parameter is not equivalent to saying that the trial will go on indefinitely. I relate to Linda. We both lost a truly beloved parent. So I will trust her motivations like they are my own. Yes I want to profit. But to do that, I have to ensure that not only the data will compel approval, but that they are not leaving heaps of money in the table by failing to gather enough for the other "home runs". Her decisions are serving both science AND attempting to fully realize investor value.
I trust the motives and professionalism of the management, despite being small for the Herculean task they have undertaken and sometimes overtaxed and distracted by nefarious forces. I know that I don't know everything, but they know a lot more than we all do. I have no need to know the objective parameters. I am a long. I am not trading on the stock period. They are under no obligation to give traders tidbits. They have gotten the trial to this point against all odds. Loose lips sink ships and this is a war.
Yes yes yes! There can be no doubt with those who have the responsibility to review this fairly. It will have to be twice as compelling as the Pharmas because they will make up any excuse as to why all of these patients are living longer. We see it as nauseum in this board.
